Movement Mortgage, LLC Reviews (23)

We are working with a great realor but they sent us to Movement Mortgage/Mr. xxxxx out of xxxxx, AZ. We were approved to go find a home and we submitted an offer and was accepted. We paid the inspection fees and were on our way to put the earnest money down and received a call telling us not to pay the earnest money and come to his office. Found out there that we should of never been approved due to the fact that they could only pull up one credit score out of the three credit scores and that the pre approval letter should have never been sent to realtor but that Mr xxxxx had gone on vacation and let his assistant handle the situation which is not good business practice. The decision should have not been made without Mr xxxxx approval, stated by himself. He apologized for the inconvenience and stated this would of never happened if he had handled the application himself. So now we look like fools, lost out on the home we wanted, and only have a short period of time until we are homeless because when the offer was accepted we put in our notice to move out of our current home. We are scared, frightened and terrified of what the outcome will be. Luckily the realty company is doing everything to make up for this huge mistake. I will NEVER say anything good about Movement Mortgage or Mr. xxxxx. I am ashamed and humiliated that I trusted someone like that with my life and my childrens lives. The company and their employee are not professional or competant enough to do the job correctly.

Being a first time home buyer you would think this would be amazing experience finding a home. But it was nothing but stress. We had the WORST loan officer [redacted] She started off great... We got approved extremely fast and was told that were completely underwritten before even starting our house search. Went house hunting, found a home and was ready to put in an offer and called her as soon as we knew it was the one to write up the paperwork and she took hours to get it done. Then we found out we got approved for the home and since we were told that we all ready underwritten our realtor was like you guys can close in a few weeks since everything's good to go... But every single day they asked for something new or something was missing. I would try to get ahold of [redacted] through emails and phone and would never get a response back but she would always call my husband while at work to let him know information. If I'm the one with all the free time and the one calling you for information wouldn't you call that person back? If anyone recommends you Movement mortgage run away!!!!

I am in the sales business and my livelihood is based on my ability to take care of my customers and get good reviews. I NEVER post bad reviews, but I feel obligated to tell everyone about my experience so nobody else has to go through the NIGHTMARE endured by my family because if Movement Mortgage.
For starters, I gave Movement a 3 month timeframe to close on the home I was buying. I am buying the house from a family member, so there are no realtors or negotiations involved. We have a very healthy relationship, so there are absolutely no obstacles involved when it comes to purchase agreements.
The training process at Movement Mortgage must not exist because I believe the biggest issue through all of this is that nobody knew what they were doing. "You're hired, just memorize the company moto, Fake it till you make it....or the client does all the work" I'm obviously making light of the situation, but that is how it felt. We couldn't ever get anyone on the phone. Only got responses through email and those were usually 3 to 5 days later. And they do absolutely no work over the weekend, so for each email sent, it was a week turn time. I wonder how they missed the deadline......
I'm not going to bore you with all the specifics of them screwing up, because frankly I don't think you want to read a novel.
Long story short, we are now at 4 months and 3 days since the start of the process (and I still don't have a mortgage), which means I have spent thousands on inspections, appraisals, consulting fees and numerous other things, not to mention time wasted. That also means they had to pull both my wife's and my credit twice (because they are only good for 3 months). Today, my lender told me, we are almost there, but I miscalculated your money needed at closing. You just need to bring an additional 19 THOUSAND DOLLARS.....What, are you kidding me?
I also noticed they are trying to double charge me on several things adding up to over 4 thousand dollars. I am leaving a lot of things out, but once again, you don't want a review. Just trust me when I say, these are not people you want to do business with.
Please, continue reading reviews and find a company with great reviews. DO NOT USE MOVEMENT MORTGAGE.
