This complaint involves both contract and service issues In November, we contracted with *** *** and received a *** *** Inventory Based Guaranteed Quote After our move was completed, they are attempting to charge an additional $3351, claiming there was additional inventory No inventory was added and their agent took multiple pictures in every room of our house In addition, we did not move several large items that were included in the initial Guaranteed Quote These items left behind included a gallon fish tank (including stand, lbsgravel, glass tank lid and light), a super capacity washer, super capacity dryer, elliptical machine, cross country ski machine, stationary exercise bike, bar table, bar stools, metal rocking chairs, a bistro table and chairs, chaise with cushions, chairs, outside love seat, bench, refrigerator, chest freezer, microwave, leather sofa, Bose speaker system, and leather chair The only packing material we used was obtained

To whom it may concern,I have spoken with *** *** and they have sent over picture of a few books and totesI still have not received detailed pictures of the TV that has damage to the standShe did send pictures of the TV but could not make out any damages. The Mover Dudes over billed me and damaged both my furniture and homeI highlighted these issues to them on the day of the move and they informed me that I would need to submit my claim to the www.movingclaims.net companyI submitted my claim and the proposed settlement from Mover Dudes is $What is frustrating is that they confirmed they over billed and the settlement is less than the amount they over billed me and they didn’t compensate for the damages for my furniture and homeI’ve attached all documentation of my dispute including the unfair settlement they proposedI am seeking help to find a more neutral arbitrator to settle this issue

I am rejecting this response because: These movers are not being truthful! I told everyone the list of items was on the counter and it was still there when I returned and it was not moved!!! I advised that I would not be there weeks prior! Hence my provided listWhat mover does not break down a dog crate and has it take up space leaving it empty...unexperienced! I have emails of instructions I gave way before the moveClothing not left in drawers a and covered and taped as instructions given, etcI assume they wanted to charge for more boxes! I also can provide text messages! I was upset that I found items were stolen (not by the movers) when I arrived before the mover boys but I remained very nice to themI also was in a tremendous amount of pain from a sustained back injury but again..nice to moversI walked them with list in hand physically showing items and told them AND showed my list on the counterMy SISTER and DAUGHTER (no friends like they lied about, shows how they listened) were there to guide and help themThey did not ask a thing to either oneThey refused to wait minutes at the destination knowing they were in the wrong so we could straighten out their mistakesThey quit and leftWhere was the list the supervisor spent an hour on the phone with me asking for during date of move scheduling he was going to provide the boys as well? They told me nothing was given to them! They removed items not belonging to me causing major court issues for me! All because they ignored my provided list and verbal walk through! They refused to wait to straighten this outInstead they left my - 52" smart TV'S in an open unlocked unit I didn't rent to be stolenVery poor business practice! My 10xunit was very satisfactory for MY listed itemsThrow in what they stole, so to speak, and how they sloppily packed and stacked everything of course they had run out of room! On Thursday, June 29th at 4:00pm I spoke with Mo A*** with Mover Dudes regarding a local move in Richmond, VA, for the date July 15th (Saturday)Within a half hour I received a quote via email for the move which MrA*** and I discussed; however, there was one charge (a $travel fee) that I was not made aware of during our phone conversation, and I decided to cancel the reservationI called Mover Dudes back at 4:30pm and spoke with a person who informed me that I needed to wait until the next business day before a refund could be givenAt 5:30pm, I received a call from MrA*** who was very rude and unapologeticMrA*** indicated that he would issue a credit refund for the $charged to my visa for the quote, less $50.00, which covers a cancellation fee This is outrageousThere was never any mention of a cancellation fee either in conversation between MrA*** and myself nor is there any mention of a cancellation fee in the email containing the reservation

I want to give the most possible positive review everThe company was great with all the arrangements leaving my old home and then moving me and my yrold Mom into our new placeThe team that I had were excellent !! They didn't mind moving a piece of furniture down or switching chairs in rooms or anything like that I requestedThey were reasonable and stuck to the quote they gave meI recommend them for any type of move

The company let the full moving truck unattended during which time someone boarded the truck and stole clothing items of mineThey apologized and refunded me for the item that was stolen
Next, the company charged me over $more than the actual price of my moveI worked with the movers several times to insure that the inventory was adjusted on their forms given that the quote was item based and I moved over of the quoted items on my own prior to the moveThey assured me this was changed and it was notI was charged the initial amountI have been corresponding with them for over a month trying to get the money I am owed to no availI constantly have to email them to see what's happening and was informed today that checks were sent for another amount less than what I am owedThis is ridiculousTheir actual service provided was shoddy at best and now the customer service I am dealing with trying to get the money back they incorrectly charged me is ridiculous

I scheduled a move with them on April 27, and the move went ok, except I happen to notice my office chair, as they were moving my items in, and there was a hole in the fabric of the chair I asked one of the movers how the hole got in the chair He told me that "must have happened when it fell off of the truck." I said," oh really, and what else fell off the truck?" He told me he wasn't sure and he got Brandon, the foreman Brandon told me he would call me the very next day and take care of the hole in the chair right away
Brandon never followed up with me on the hole in the chair and I ended up calling Mike, the certified moving consultant, at the main office on different occasions I was told Brandon would be calling me and that he did leave me a message, which he never did I had left several messages on Brandon's cell phone without any return phone calls from him I finally called Mike again and told him that it would be my last time calling them and that this

amount over charged I have accounting department working on this and will follow up with her today. Our accounting department has different numbers then the client is claiming. I have the accounting department double checking the amount paid on this job to make sure this is accurate. A follow up with [redacted] will be present today 7/27/17. We want to get this settled as fast as possible but there was a difference in the amount claimed paid that needed to be evaluated by the accounting department. Note here move was on 7/7/2017 which was 20 days ago.

Mover Dudes Inc. stands by their employees and the fact they handled the situation with professionalism. There were a lot of factors that contributed to the problems present of this move that were outside the scope of work provided by Mover Dude's Inc. The Moving consultant that quoted this job did note all the actions that were present this day in moving day notes:
"client is acting erratic.  she was there for a walk through and supposedly had a list (which would be similar to our inventory), but the movers were never shown the list.  Her sisters/relatives/friend were there for the move and the stuff we moved was at least in part ok'd by them with the client leaving.  After leaving, client told movers when they were already near destination some stuff was wrong, some things not moved that should have, and some things moved that should not have (client said cops called on her, by ex who still lives there??).  in PA, storage unit too small, unit 15, as a courtesy, movers put additional items in open unit 14 so clients stuff not out in rain.  I texted client this and she continues to act erratically, blaming us for not following her list.  there is a significant misunderstanding and client would not communicate by phone so I could help fix, did by text but she kept sending erratic and rude texts, blaming us about list not being followed, which again, movers were not fully privy to it seems."
These statement were also confirmed by the two senior movers that were present on the job. I have not yet been contacted from Mrs. [redacted] regarding any claims.

With DOT regulation of weight on our trucks, the two shipment going around his location would have been over the 26,000 limit per DOT regulation thus causing the extended time of delivery. I have spoken with [redacted] and he has assured me that when his inventory is delivered he will retract the claim with the Revdex.com. Mover Dudes, Inc. was contacted by [redacted] on June 20, 2016 in regards to packing and moving the contents of her home in it's entirety on June 22, 2016. The estimate that was originally given to the client was for an estimated 7500lbs. based upon the information provided by and reconfirmed by the...

client. When our packing crew arrived on June 22, 2016, they began packing [redacted] items but had to stop and vacate the residence to a SEVERE flea infestation, which Mover Dudes handled by contacting [redacted] for the client and coordinated to have the residence fumigated to combat the infestation. The fumigation took place on 6/23/16 and our crew returned to complete the required packing and preparation for the move to occur on 6/24/16. The condition of the home was deplorable, with visible animal feces on the floor in common areas, mold present on the carpeting, sinks and walls, and an incredibly strong odor of pet urine in addition to the flea infestation. During this time, Mover Dudes learned that the urgency of this move occurred because the client, [redacted], was being evicted from the residence. When our moving crew arrived on 6/24/16, they diligently got to work to protect and load the HHG from [redacted] home. While they were on site, she added a considerable amount of items that were not previously discussed, to be moved, bringing the weight of the shipment to 11,223lbs. In addition, there were also numerous changes made by [redacted] on the day of the move such as an additional location to pick-up items and an entirely different location of the storage facility that the items would be delivered to. In regards to the damages [redacted] is claiming are at the hands of Mover Dudes, the Moving Consultant who estimated her move as well as the Crew Leader of her moving crew, informed her of optional Full Replacement Valuation protection available to her and the different levels that could be purchased along with informing her that if damages were to occur to items that were packed by the customer, Mover Dudes would not be held responsible for those items. The client declined any additional valuation protection nor did she declare items of extraordinary value such as a priceless vinyl collection or series of first edition books. Since the move was completed, our Director of Operations, [redacted] Moving Consultant and the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator of Mover Dudes have been in contact with [redacted] daughter, [redacted] at her request. Each Mover Dudes representative has requested that [redacted] follow the proper procedure to file a claim, including filling out a damage/claim form and submitting photos of the items with detailed descriptions of the alleged damaged that occurred. None of these things have been submitted directly to Mover Dudes, Inc. as requested of the client numerous times, but have been posted on social media sites such as [redacted] with slandering allegations made by the client's daughter on a daily basis. Finally, the customer has still not submitted the final payment for the services that she received and has refused payment to this point. Any accusation or claim of damage can be handled until payment is submitted and the account is settled. Once this occurs, the Mover Dudes, Inc. Claim Department will investigate the damages submitted (if the proper information has been provided by the client) and will make the determination of the outcome based upon information available, valuation purchased and any contractual requirements that we are bound to by the Moving and Storage Industry. We would be happy to assist in resolving this issue with [redacted] and will explain all of this once again and provide her with the proper procedure for handling her situation.
