Absolutely fantastic moving experience! My original move date was delayed because my family became ill, and Moving Ahead Services, LLC managed to schedule us on very short notice and handled all our items with care and efficiencyI definitely recommend them to anyone moving; I wish they'd moved me previously!!

Thank you for being there I appreciate you getting with me so quickly

Hi [redacted] I tried calling the number listed [redacted] it is saying the line is disconnected. We
will need to replace the TV with a comparable model. In order to do
this I need a photo of the sticker on the back of the TV listing the
model and Serial Numbers. Once we have that info I will...

have a new TV
delivered. We will need to take the old TV in its current condition. Is that acceptable?I'm
sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We did try hard to
repair the TV. The other day before it was delivered to you it seemed
fine. I did notice there was a slight forward lean. We thought that
maybe this is how the TV sat. Again, I apologies. We are
eager to settle this. Please send the photo over as quickly as possible.
I can likely get the TV to you today. I will also have guys take the TV
out of the box and set up. If it makes it easier send the image to my cell phone 440-339-3276Best regards, [redacted] [redacted]Moving Ahead ServicesOH License: #157491HGCleveland: (440) 256-2224Columbus: (614) 352-6444Cincinnati: (513) 284-3031www.movingaheadservices.comAngiesList | Facebook | Google +

[ am not satisfied with the business response.  Based off of the prior reply, 1.  A 26 foot box truck was provided.  The business offered to take standing lamps in the truck, but could not guarantee the safety of transport.  I declined the offer to transport the lamps.  However, there were other items that could have been moved that were not taken.  Some of the items could have been loaded and did not require a box or would not fit in a box.  Some of the items could not be loaded due to the fact they were not in boxes. 2.  The move did take 6.25 hours.  However, I had to drive back to the original address 2 times and fill up 3 cars with contents due to the items being left.  These items could possibly have fit on the truck if the bar was not loaded on it first.  The bar was only supposed to be loaded if all contents were loaded first. 3.  The company did offer $500.  However, I countered the offer and have not heard a reply of my counter.  I countered the businesses offer with $500 and for the business to be 100% responsible for fixing and paying for the floor that was damaged at the original address.  Trained and responsible movers should know how to properly lift heavy objects on floors to not allow damage to the floor.  I believe my counter offer is fair for the issues stated in this complaint.

We have spoken to the customer several times. At this point, he is working with Devin D[redacted] and Taylor H[redacted] to resolve any issues. As discussed with the customer several times; Our team did not take a box full of baseball cards. We checked our cameras and nothing was in the truck when it returned...

to our Columbus location.  Our team is background checked and have worked with us for many years. The customer also signed and acknowledge that the coverage in the move was $.60 per lb. This was in pricing emails, confirmation emails and on the paperwork he signed for twice. Lastly, customer states the truck was "too small". The customer was sold a 26' truck, which is the largest in the moving industry. The next larger truck is a Semi. The move was estimated at 6-8hrs. The move was completed in 6hrs.

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am still unsatisfied with the services I have received.  I keep having the same conversations everyday with the business.  I have been making the best attempt to provide the business with any information that they request (new owners at previous address real estate agent and contractor).  I had a bar that I gave the employees and stated that the item would be last on the truck as long as the other contents were loaded.  I did not want to pay extra money ($170/hr) for the movers to drive about 20 minutes one way to pick up the additional items when I was assured everything would fit in the truck based on my conversation with the employee when booking the business.  The new owners of my previous address are requesting the floor to be replaced due to the damage that was occurred by the business.  I have contacted a contractor and was quoted $285 in labor.  This does not include materials that need to be purchased for the floor to be fixed.  I will also have to purchase brand new remotes.  The sports cards and sports memorabilia is still missing and gone for good.

Ms [redacted] would need to contact our office direct to start the claim process. To date, she has not contacted our office. We can be reached at ###-###-#### or [redacted]. We will email the customer direct now.

First, we are sorry Mr [redacted] is not satisfied with our services. We have tried to be as fair as possible considering his claims. However, there are several discrepancies in Mr. [redacted]s claim. For one, the truck we sent was a 26' box truck (the largest box truck under a semi trailer offered by all moving companies). There was still space on the truck when he told his crew to head to the unload. The items that were left behind were all loose items that needed to be packed into boxes. His crew offered to pack the items into to boxes and he declined stating that he can just grab the items later. His crew did not leave the origin address with out doing a final walk through to ensure everything that Mr. [redacted] wanted moved was in fact moved. Secondly, attached you will find Mr. [redacted]s estimate that was sent to him via email on April 5th. You can see that we estimated his move to take 6-8hrs. His final bill is also attached which shows we completed the move in 6.25hrs. His claim of the move taking longer because the truck was too small is false.Third, Mr. [redacted] agreed to 60 cents per pound reimbursement for damaged or lost items which you will see on our bill of lading that is attached. He agreed that we are not responsible for his floors which is also on our bill of lading that Mr. [redacted] signed and initialed. The true value of his claim is $160 for minor damage to the base of his china cabinet that can be repaired. We believe in taking care of our customers so we went above his actual claim amount and offered him $500.  We have footage of his crew arriving back to our office and cleaning out our truck. Nothing matching the description of his "bins of missing baseball cards" were seen being unloaded from the truck. We are confident that our employees would not steal anything from anyone. We conduct background check on all of our movers. Mr. [redacted] had one of our most experienced movers on his crew. A guy that has been with our company for 10 years. We told Mr [redacted] that if he truly believes that we stole his cards that he needs to make a police report. We will hand the footage over to them. Our movers will also take a lie detector test.
