My Eye Dr. at Avery Ranch in Austin, TX
This office was bought out by My Eye Dr. and it's such a shame because I have had multiple experiences with this company. I was convinced to try the Progressive glasses with the tri-prescription, anti-glare, blue light protection, and thin, concealing lenses. Paid a ridiculous amount of money, but they made it seem worthwhile. I went in for my appointment mid-November. The first time I received the glasses, I could not properly see through the center of the lenses. It seemed the prescription was off to the left and I had to turn my eyes to the left to see clearer. I went in and they said it was a bit off so they got sent back. The second time they came back it was the same issue. I put them on and looking straight on to the lady in front of me or even trying to read a document and everything was blurry. Again the prescription dot was off to the left. I went back in and they just make you feel like you are the one with the problem and you have to give it time to adjust. I explained I could actually see better without the glasses since looking through them was all blurry and that is not something to adjust to. They re-took the measurements and they said the placement was correct. By this time it was about to be Christmas. I needed my glasses, mostly to read. Seeming like we were going in circles with the conversation, I asked to have the glasses just be for reading since they are incapable of getting the Progressive prescriptions right (that cost is 1/2 the price of the progressive). They got sent back and they came back mid-January WITHOUT ANY LENSES. Literally just the frame. The office lady said she tried to insert the lenses but there was a screw that was stuck and she could not proceed, so she needed to send them back. That was the 3rd time they got sent back! I picked up the reading glasses January 29 and I tried them on and could read see through them while looking straight, and headed off to work. I inspected them closer when I got home and noticed the lenses are not the thin, concealing lenses and are just the basic, think-looking, lenses. After all I went through and paid, they used the most basic lenses, so I will be going back next week. To make matters worse, they said they could not refund because I sent them back multiple times and they worked on the lenses. They make note of the times I sent them back and they fail to acknowledge their mistakes and incompetence and let the customer pay full price for their errors. I logged in to my account of their website and it does not show the history of all this fiasco. It only shows the most recent pick up for the reading glasses. There must be something very wrong with the employee tech, their equipment, and their overall business, ethical system. There is no care for the customer and they show no willingness to work at a high standard. We are a family of 5 and they have lost all our business moving forward.

Olney, Maryland
I visited My Eye Doctor for an eye exam on 11/11/2024 and was prescribed distance glasses. An associate took my order the same day, informing me the glasses would be ready in two weeks. However, when I went to pick them up, I noticed they were not correct—the current glasses I was using were better than the new ones. I shared my concerns with the associate, who scheduled me for a follow-up with the doctor on 12/02/2024.
During the follow-up, the doctor identified that the glasses I received were computer glasses, not the prescribed distance glasses. She directed another associate to place a new order for the correct lenses. Once again, I was told to wait two weeks for the updated glasses.
Frustrated by the serious errors and poor customer service, I asked to speak with the manager, Andrew. After waiting 15 minutes for him to come out of his office, he addressed the situation without offering an apology or taking accountability. Instead, he reiterated what the doctor had already explained, adding that he did not know why the mistake had occurred. This lack of professionalism and responsibility left me disappointed and questioning the level of care and organization at this location.
Overall, my experience was marked by poor communication, multiple errors, and unsatisfactory customer service. I hope My Eye Doctor takes steps to improve their processes and better train their staff to avoid situations like this in the future.

Excellent Care
Our new optometrist, Dr. Dar Lenarcik is top notch! He and his staff offer excellent care and are easy to access being inside Masonville Mall. Both my husband and I started using his service when we moved to the area and we could not be happier. He has a wonderful sense of humour too! Don't hesitate to see him if you live in the area.

POOR customer service/Williamsburg, Va
I just contacted the Williamsburg location for the 3rd time because the manager Michael did not call me back in reference to my prescription which is their error only to be told that he is gone for the day but still offered me free sunglasses for the inconvenience. I told the young lady Alisa I can't do anything with nonprescription sunglasses. I would like to pick up my frames and get a refund only to be told she has to contact another manager name Bill at the Denbigh location to authorize a refund which could take one to two weeks, but I could come in and pick up my frames the same frames that was supposed to be sent somewhere else. This is very poor service. I only can hope to get my money back and my frames.

POOR customer service
This Was Williamsburg, Va store.

POOR customer service
Had appointment needed new glasses, I took my own frames in and was told 7 to 10 days. I received phone call 3 weeks later said there would be a delay because the frames were not received to the consumer who do the glasses. It was supposedly sent again but I received another call the following week to say there is still a delay because of an error but would be compensate with a pair of sunglasses per manager request. I called the store back to inquire about it a young lady answered the phone very unprofessional with Hello as if she was home, I had to ask is this My Eye Doctor then she started with the more professional voice. I explained to her what was going on with my order and she looked my order up to tell me the same thing so I ask to speak to the manager and was told that he was busy and would call me back. I was told his name is Michael I waited 2 hours and called back only to be told the same thing. I'm still waiting on Michael to call me back. I believe they have lost or misplaced my frames and is very dissatisfied and will be heading to the store soon to get a refund and hopefully my frames that I trusted them with.

Horrible appointment experience- Dr Pullen My eye dr , Mandarin FL 32223
The clinic double booked an appointment for which I waited 2 months for, for them to call me 1 week prior to the appointment and say they can't see me due to their mistake and I would have to wait another 2 months! UNACCEPTABLE! Going elsewhere where they care about their patients.

Defective eyeglasses
Very expensive pair of glasses rimless bushings failed in a week. Instead of replacing the bushings and reattaching the ear piece they replaced the entire pair of glasses needlessly using the replacement warranty. Again within a week of purchase.

Poor Customer Service
Call my location on two occasions. No answer, forwarded to an auto attendant. Message "you know you can check on your order online?" It was a fiasco! After figuring out how to register, not just "look at the top right hand corner of the website" as the message states, but had to search, not user friendly. Second, finally got to register, and waited for a "confirmation code" that was texted to my phone, three tries, text never came. Tomorrow I'll call, and hopefully someone will answer the phone. I don't have much faith that will happen. Won't use them again.

Disappointed and out $300
Awful since becoming My EYE Doctor. . Staff is worthless, rude. Lies!
Got glasses, I live 1/2 hr away and work full time. Came in wrong. Scheduling , office hrs.. appt for recheck.. became a month or so later. Came in again wrong, prescription backwards. Again, scheduling, hrs,.. another month or so. I paid $300 and no glasses Of use! Finally I mailed back and asked for a refund. So disgusted with how it was all handled. Wouldn’t refund. I filed dispute with Discover. Drs office didn’t respond so I was charged. So wrong. I have emails showing I tried to rectify situation. I paid and never had glasses. Still don’t. I just went to office again. Had recheck, wanted to fix issue, nope. They wanted to charge me more money. Said it has been too long. Um yeah, I’ve tried. You screwed up twice. I work. Again asked for refund, I’m going elsewhere! To which I was told nope. Here’s your wrong glasses. Absolutely awful experience! I will tell everyone about this. Do not go there! I just want my $300! Keep your wrong glasses!

Worst experience at a doctors office
Had an appointment at 2:20 Feb 10th arrived at 2:pm and was told Dr Audrey Lyons was out and no other doctor were there. Receptionist tried to say they left me a voicemail mail but I have an I Phone which transcribes all voice mails and tho only one was confirming my appointment the day before. Then she tried to deny that and that she ever spoke to me. Unapologetic, rude and tried to put all the blame back on the patient. My call log proves the only call I received was to confirm the appointment. No call was received or made to reschedule. I said never mind I will find someone else. Had the receptionist shown the least bit concern and tried to turn their incompetence back on me, offer to reschedule. Things may have been different. Poor customer service and highly unprofessional. Will never trust my eyesight to this crackerjack operation.

DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
I have been going to Dr Timko for many years and he recently sold his practice to My Eye Doctor. On my visit I needed need glasses. I picked out frames and order regular and sun glasses. The regular glasses came in but they were unable to do the sunglasses with the frames I chose. I did not see any others that I liked so asked for a refund for the sunglasses. They refused and only offered me credit or I would have to talk to a manager, who was not in that day. I asked to have the manager call me and the attendant said one would call me.
After two weeks no one called so I visited Dr Timko on a followup visit. I explained my problem and he had me wait in the waiting room while he found a manager. After a while another attendant came out and said a manager would call me later that date. It has been a week now and no call.
Would recommend you think twice before using them.

VISION
I visited my eye doctor at 1960 Randolph Rd. in Charlotte, NC. for the first time and had a great experience with Dr. Gaskins and the staff. Professional staff great conversation and most of all a wonderful experience with Pam. Pam has great customer experience, explained my options...I highly recommend this place. I will be returning in the years to come!

Thanks - small towns have the best doctors!!
I have been going to Dr. Scott Saunders for about 35 years or more.
He is very professional - he even found the herpes in my eye and the torn retina.
Cindi and Theresa were uplifting and helpful - it is a pleasure to go there.
I do not necessarily like the lenses from your particular lab - they scratch too, too easily.
Thanks for a good appointment with fun and informative help from all.

Happy Customer
Just picked up our glasses from the one on Highlands Drive, Litiz Pa and was very happy with the whole experience. Everyone was very helpful and polite, went out of their way. Prices weren't bad, paid more for crappy glasses at vision works and they were more expensive and the help not so friendly. I normally don't like to write reviews but I have to give credit where credit is due and I am can be difficult at times but they made our experience such a pleasant & enjoyable one that we will be going back.

Poor customer service and price gouging
I have a daughter with special needs that needs special glasses. The brand her eye doctor gave me could be found no where in stock. Someone referred me to MyEyeDr and said they had a huge selection of glasses. I called them and spoke with a gentleman who said they don't carry a lot of what I was looking for in stock but that they had access to get them if they didn't have them. When I arrived I sat down with Erin. I told her about the glasses and it was like it went in one ear and out the other...like she didn't want to be bothered in going through extra steps for what I needed. She kept pointing me to another brand and assured me they were comparable. I kept asking her about the other brand and she still kept pushing me for the ones she had. I did not like the color - expressed such for her to respond that basically that was my option - WITHOUT even checking online for the brand I initially came for! She was combative when I asked her to review the charges of my glasses with me - acting like she gave me a great discount. She rushed to get payment - and out of desperation and being fed up with trying to find what my daughter needed anyway - I gave her the payment information. My daughter, who is autistic, was starting to have a meltdown...I got the receipt and left before it got ugly. I got home to review the bill - to the tune of $561! Where is my discount? She was misleading when she was quoting me - had she generated the invoice and went over the charges I would've questioned it. She also made lots of mistakes as she was processing this order...having to go back and fix things in the system, constantly correcting herself out loud. I was losing confidence quickly in her capability however autism doesn't allow for patience and extra time...I had to leave. The glasses come with straps however when I picked up the glasses there were no straps! Called her about it and she acted really dingy - said she'd call the mftr and call me back with status. No call back. I feel severely overcharged for these glasses and I feel I walked out of there with a product I wasn't really on board with - being made to feel that was all I have to choose from when I know differently and was told differently by another member of staff. I would not recommend this place. I'm a single mom raising two girls on the spectrum alone and I can ill afford $561 for a pair of glasses. Went to pick up straps and I was advised she was no longer there. That's nice...she robbed me of proper customer service - charged me outrageous price and now she's gone. What a hassle and a joke this experience was. There's more to it - just can't remember all the glitches in details.

Private Equity Circus
I went there for the 1st time post private equity ownership in 2021 and had a bad experience. They overcharged me for my glasses and did not inform me about it. Only did I find out when I reviewed my insurance claim, and then I had to reach out to "Corporate" to request a refund which took much too long to receive. Ironically the same thing happened to my wife. I thought that maybe these were honest mistakes, so I gave them another chance in April 2022. Needless to say, they screwed things up again. If you are looking for a place that provides their customers good service, don't go here. If you are fine with a dysfunctional operation, then this is your place. I can only speculate that the private equity owners are demanding more profit and fewer costs but whatever the reason for the disorganization, I want no part of it after my bad experiences. One star is too lenient!

Exact same experience in April 2023. My small town eye doctor retired and the family practice was bought by MrEyeDr. I was charged $670 for an eye exam and one pair of glasses ($1,372 before insurance)! My Aetna EOB came back and I saw the co-pay was $75 vs the $150 they charged me. I've been trying for weeks to reach someone who can fix this, but to no avail. It's one thing to pay top dollar if you are getting great service, but to pay top dollar and be overcharged for the copay and never be told about it and have to call five times to try to get it corrected, it's time to move on to a different company.

Above and Beyond
My family has been in over past couple months for exams and glasses at Stantonsburg Rd. location in Greenville, NC. Great experience from start to finish. The same Tech helped us(nice to see same kindly face year after year), in and out with Dr., and over to optical where we were greeted with smiles and lots of help. I needed an appt. for my brother, sooner rather than later, despite schedule being booked up, Cecilia, the manager, took upon herself and called me with a cancellation on a date needed days later and we went. Little things that go a long ways with patients. Then helped us find best deal ordering glasses. Thank you all for your help and caring.
