Review: the website myrelatives.com is using my name to get clicks. I mailed them my photo ID and asked them to remove my information, however, they are advertising their services on a banner at the bottom of the webpage [redacted] . They are advertising my birth records, death records, marriage, divorce and census records. They do not have any of this information and when I called and asked them to remove my name they said that it would come up with any name searched. I want my name to stop coming up on their site.Desired Settlement: I want the company myrelatives.com to stop using my name in their advertisements

We have reviewed our files and confirmed that this individual's information was successfully removed. It cannot be found on either MyRelatives.com or [redacted]. As we explained over the phone, the "SPONSORED by MyRelatives.com" advertisement at the bottom of [redacted] simply uses the search criteria that is entered. Users are free to enter any name they choose and the advertisement will populate with whatever text is entered. There is absolutely no way to prevent someone from entering your name into the text fields. In addition to the entered search criteria, the advertisement will have the categories Census, Birth Records, Marriage Records, Divorce Records and Death Records no matter what. This does not mean this information is available once the link is clicked. As you stated we no longer display this information in our search results.

This is a reiteration of the nonsense I was told over the phone. Myrelatives.com has the power to stop that link from coming up but has chosen not to because they value revenue over privacy. I know that they do not have information since I mailed them and asked it to be removed, yet myrelatives.com is holding on to my name in the event someone searches for me they can get a click.

Review: I have repeatedly emailed this company and sent them a request to have mine and my husband personal information removed from their website. I have been contacting them by email and the USPS mail since December 16th 2015. They respond back telling me it could take up to ten days after receiving my request to have all the information removed. As of today 2-11-2016 they still have not removed any of mine and my husbands personal information off of their website. My husband is a Sheriff Deputy and works the gang unit. Having our information on this site and all others is putting our lives in danger.

Could you please look into why this request has been ignored.

I would like this information removed ASAP.
