Review: On ** March 2015 my wife received e-mail correspondence from the merchant ([redacted], aka gift star kid) promising her a refund of $139.65 for $59.80 and $79.85 posted to her credit card on 3/**/15. The merchant's email requested my wife's permission to process the refund. On * April 2015, permission to the merchant. On ** May 2015, having not yet received the refund or any reply from the merchant, my wife again emailed the merchant refund. As of today, * June 2015, she has received no reply or refund from the merchant. Attempts to call the merchant result in an electronic message not process billing inquiries by phone. Therefore, on behalf of my wife, I am disputing the charge of $139.65 and requesting your assistance in recovering merchant.Desired Settlement: Refund of $139.65

Review: I purchased a membership with this company, who processed my payment, and confirmed the membership being active. The next time I logged on to the website it didnt recognize me as being a member and requested that I processed another payment. I have the email confirming my payment was processed and I have proof that it was deducted from my checking account. I contacted the company and advised them of the situation on Novemeber [redacted] 2014. On December [redacted], I received a generic reply email stating I would be contacted within 3-5 buisness days. I sent another email in follow up to my original email indicating that I had not been contacted regarding my concerrn. Dec [redacted] I received a reply stating that my payment did not go through. I forwarded the representative proof that my payment went through and I have not yet received a response.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the payment I made which was made on 11/**/14 for $19.95 and deducted from my checking account, which I will be more than happy to supply the proof that these funds were withdrawn from my account.

Review: I have cancelled the subscription back in September 2013-$10 per month and they are still charging my account every month after. I've emailed them and even tried calling but unable to reach someone on the other end. I did get an email back from a lady named [redacted] March [redacted] and she stated that they will get a hold of me within 5 business days but yet no luck. I would like them to refund me back the amount that they have taken from my account after cancellation. They sure don't make it easy to cancel making me believe that this company is a scam.Desired Settlement: They just need to refund my money for the past 6 months and I would like this done before next month so they don't take more money out of my account. Thanks

Sincerely,
Review: I purchased an online service to get my daughter into modeling. The deal was: post a photo for about $25 each to enter into a contest. I then found out that instead of having judges look at the photos, it was more from public online voting. I wanted to cancel the service immediately and contacted MyStarKid within an hour. The online purchase was made near midnight, so I could only send an email. I called the next day and left a voicemail. I only got an email back that someone would be in touch with me. After 4 more emails and 4 more calls, over 2 months later, no one will talk to me. I was thus never given an opportunity to cancel the service. In the meantime, I NEVER used the service.Desired Settlement: refund amount of $99.75

At this time, I have been contacted directly by MyStarKid regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
MyStarKid refuses to give me my money back even though I have not and will never use any of their services. In addition to that, obviously, they have horrible customer service. They emailed me after they received my complaint from you. However, I emailed them back and have not heard from them since.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
Review: I had signed my daughter up for a monthly contest that was supposed to charge a ONE time fee of $19.99. They had charged my card not once, but twice. I have sent numerous emails to them and left numerous voice mails on their "customer service" line with NO response. The website states that it takes around 5 business days for them to get back to you however they have not and it has been over a year! I have emailed them also to remove my child from this website as it won't let me do so myself. I am beyond frustrated as I thought this was a legitimate company and it turns out that its a complete scam!!!!Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded back to the card used to pay for this contest and I want my daughters "profile" REMOVED along with her pictures from this website A S A P !
Review: I signed up for mystarkid.com with $40 in "free" gifts plus a monthly subscription for $9.95. They had an option to submit a photo into a certain contest for $19.95 each. I chose not to elect that option and keep the basic. A couple of days later they charged my card $79.80. The phone number available for the company goes directly to a voicemail that refers you back to their website. If you try to delete your account it just sends you in a big circle.Desired Settlement: I have unfortunately found, after the fact, that they have done this to hundreds of people. I would like to see sites like this shutdown. If these people walked up and stole $80 out of my pocket they would go to jail. It seems like if you commit a cyber crime there is no consequence.

Sincerely,
Review: I have emailed multiple times to cancel my account, and received replies from "Emma" who wants to know why. I have asked for confirmation that my account be canceled but get no reply. Fees are still being charged to my [redacted]. There is not option to phone and speak to a live employee, simply a re-direction to their website and the "got questions" link.Desired Settlement: Please Cancel my Account with My Start Kid and stop the automatic payments coming off of my [redacted].
Review: I signed up for the entry fee with the "One time $19.95" fee with the assumption, as stated on their website that I would receive a FREE custom photo mug and 25 FREE comp cards. Once I give my information and am charged the $20, I go to place the order for these items only to be charged $20 MORE dollars for processing and handling. each item comes with a $9 price tag. that is not free, by any means. This is false advertising and I would never have signed up for this deal under these pretenses.Desired Settlement: the statement is fraud and the website should clearly state that each item although is "free" will cost you an additional $9 EACH for shipping and handling- totally $18!
rip off!

Review: I attached a few pictures for my kid and signed up for the free 30 day trial....it said I could cancel at anytime. I went to the next page and was charged $80 for the pictures I uploaded!! I immediately went to my cc site and tried to stop the charge but they couldn't.....I then canceled my card on their site, changed my address and tried to delete my account but you can't, they bring you back to the "ask a question page", I emailed a number of times and get the same stupid auto response back about how their busy. How can they do this to people that have worked hard for their money then just take it like that? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!Desired Settlement: I want a refund check of $80 sent to my home address (which I removed from the website), if Revdex.com needs the address please ask me, I'll be glad to send it. I do not want this company having my cc info or home address.
Review: On Sept.** my daughter entered my grand-daughter into a photo contest through this website and paid what she thought was $19.95 with my ([redacted]) debit card. The next morning I was checking my online banking and noticed the charge was duplicated. There was an 800 number listed by the charges, so I called it several times and could not get through. I left a voicemail and someone eventually returned my call. She asked me my account number and tried looking it up. She said there was nothing listed with this account. We were both baffled at this, because it was showing up twice on my bank account. I finally pushed to talk with [redacted]. He said to screen shot the bank charges. I did so, and he immediately said they are not the same company. I am still confused. He said somehow "My Star Kid" must be charging me instead of them(they are listed as The Cute Kid). I immediately asked him to explain why his phone number is listed as the number to question any bank charges. He said there must be some mistake. My head is spinning. I have called him back several times to no avail. Every time I try to get ahold of "The Cute Kid" they say they have nothing to do with it! When I get on their (The Star Kid) website and try to contact someone, it automatically takes me to The Cute Kid. I just want my money back. I feel like this is not my fault that their website is messed up. I have never experienced this! I am at a dead end, there is no other communication for me to try.Desired Settlement: To get this resolved and my money back

Thank you for your email.
We have been in touch with this member in regard to the complaint. As mentioned in her complaint, we did inform her that the charges were not from our company.
TheCuteKid is in no way affiliated with the company My Star Kid.
We have looked into her claims that our contact information is provided on their website and found no such proof. Their website can be viewed here:
Review: I paid over 80 dollars to this company to enter my son into a "contest". I have NEVER heard a thing , just get A TON of SPAM emails hourly. I would like my money back and to be taken off the email list for spam.Desired Settlement: Would like refund asap
Review: My account has been charged almost $80. I've contacted this company so many times and no response. The number they have just keeps saying the "operators are currently busy, please go on our website and leave us an email", but even with that they have not returned my emails. I've left several voice mails. All I want is my $80 back.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to return my money. This could have been settled if they would have ever answered their phone or responded to my emails.

Sincerely,
Review: I emailed [redacted] because I uploaded the same picture accidentally within minutes of each other. I didn't think the first picture uploaded, so I was charged $19.95 twice. I emailed them as soon as I realized the mistake I had made and their auto response email said that we will contact you with 5 business days. That was on March [redacted]. I never got a response so I tried calling their customer service line and all you can do is leave a message and their auto response message again was we will respond within 5 business days. There's no choice to speak to an actual person and I chose not to leave a message. I just tried calling the customer service line this morning again to leave a message or hope to talk to someone and my only option was to push zero to leave a message. So I pushed zero and was actually put on hold to leave a message. I waited awhile and I was unable to leave a message. I tried to contact them 3 times and every attempt was a failure.Desired Settlement: On April [redacted], I was charged $19.95 twice. I am happy to pay for the one picture but I should not be charged for the accidental upload.

Review: They collect and collect money from people for contests they can't win. The finalist pictures and monthly winner pictures never change . I payed for a mug with my daughters picture on it. It never showed up. I have sent many emails, have received no response.Desired Settlement: Either they refund my 127.00 dollars for the entries and the mug and shipping and handling or I willl vote to hopefully have them shut down.
Review: I uploaded my child's photo to be shared with agencies for 19.95. I never agreed to pay monthly. I never even knew they signed you up monthly without your consent. I was then billed 9.95 the following month. After looking into all their fine print it says they will charge you monthly until you cancel. I called them and couldn't get hold of anyone. I tried to cancel online and every link kept redirecting me to the sign up site, I emailed them and got an auto message back. No matter what I do I cannot cancel my account, and no one is getting back to me. This is a complete scam. My credit card refunded the 9.95 but they said they can't stop them from charging me again next month. I don't know what to do, and I can't get a hold of anyone from this company. Please help me.Desired Settlement: Cancel my membership and stop charging me monthly. Apologize for such foul treatment.

Review: We ordered $64.00 worth of items. A coffee mug and a canvas of our baby. When you call it says to leave a message and loops. we never received our items.Desired Settlement: We just want the products ordered or our money back
Review: My star kid makes you believe that if you get so many badges you get some star power which improves the child ranking. My daughter was ranked #4 at one time and now ranked #10. One badge indicates if you get over 500 votes you will collect that badge. My daughter has over 500 and have not received the badge which will give her more star power. Then the kids that's ahead of my daughter has less badges that don't add up to their star power and don't have any votes. This is not right an not fair to those that are actually trying. All of the casting calls are in California, New York or Orlando. This is unfair to kids that have their hopes up and will be disappointed.Desired Settlement: I submitted different pics on different days . I would like a refund. I also would like to see a fair site for kids.

Review: I have also filed a complaint against My Cute Kid in Lynbrook, NY. We had entered my granddaughter's photo in the alleged My Cute Kid's photo contest and paid what we thought would be $19.95 with my debit card. The next morning I was checking my bank account and noticed they had charged $19.95 twice. I called the number next to the charge on my statement and left a voicemail. Someone with The Cute Kid called back and asked for the last 4 digits of my debit card and she checked to see what happened. She then proceeded to tell me there was never anything taken from my account. I told her I was sitting there looking at the double charges on my bank account. She then had me talk with [redacted] and he asked me to send a screen shot of the charges, which I did. He then told me that the phone number listed was not their phone number. He told me somehow I could have been scammed. I keep calling this number back and leaving messages. I also have sent emails and a letter in the mail. I have also put a complaint in on My Cute Kid. It was their website, and no one seems to want to take the responsibility for this. I am out $39.90 for this, and no one wants to take the blame, even though I still get numerous emails everyday from both companies wanting us to enter our granddaughter in more contests and more money!!Desired Settlement: For the liable party to step up and refund our money
