The software claims to cover all state taxes, but have not fulfilled it or failed to meet the tests for the some of the statesFor a couple of states, I came across printing errors and no tax rates or tax schedules are linked to the fieldsHad to override a lot of fields and sent requests for support to fix the errorsSupport linked the tax rate but not the tax schedule on the state side for the upper tax bracketEach state I have done showed miscalculations that I had to override the values or manually pick the correct form for the school district income tax as there are different SD forms for different counties in OhioEncountered printing errorsWhat you typed, might end up backwards on the printouts such as partner under partnership section and vice versa as shown on HI NEfiling is not available for HI for example, but the printout is also not acceptable for HIThe software is not automated in many areasSpent more hours overriding the fields and apologizing to clients for delaysFor a refund, there is a $processing fee during a specific period, but they returned my entire refund because of misleading information and they cannot fix the state form errorsI found out they refunded me when I can no longer print out my work from the software after I sent them an email that most of the mistakes are not fixed yetSome printouts did not match what I typed - what I typed on the form became opposite on the printoutAll the work that I have put in, it now shows free trial -do not fileWhen I contacted support, they said they refunded me, but they did not give me notice about it until I saw the emailI asked for proof of refund because I did not see it yet, so they submitted me an email made on the day I called that the refund has been processed on that daySo all the work I have put in, had to be retyped into a different software, which I am glad I didThe returns sent to clients for review with refund turned out to be money owed when I re-entered the same info into a different softwareThat is how I found out the Schedule E miscalculated the expenses, and again, what I typed or override the fields did not show on the printoutI was frustrated that I cannot fix the returns and print after they close me out of their system due to the refundI am a nice person and have dealt with their support team constantly to fix their software, but now I prefer compensation for the time I spent having to apologize to the clients that I have to send them a different return for review upon this new discoveryIf you are to input same information from this database to another such as taxact, you can see a big difference in how miscalculated mytaxprepoffice isI had to call the client that I will be delayed due to reentering the information again into a different softwareAn hour became hours just to go through each detail making sure there are no miscalculationsSuggest that you do a trial for a state that you mostly specialize in before signing upThe software is more like a typewriter - you had to choose which form you want to useThe software is not fully automated on your data, because you have to choose which schedule and attachment you need manuallyFor those who I have efiled, their returns are good after I override a lot of fieldsThey did offer me a free software for next year, but if the problems are fixedI prefer compensation for the missing hours I have lost dealing with software errors and emotional distressAlso, I cannot access this software on my tablet as they said it should

I used My Tax Prep Office for the first time this year and I think it is a wonderful company They have promptly answered my requests for support on their software, and have been willing to walk me patiently through all things necessary to fix mistakes For small business such as mine I needed an economical, but professional tax preparation software company and I believe the company is both

Sales rep sold me Essential Package for $to try until the end of year If I like it I can keep that price for lifeIF I don't like it I can cancel for a full refundIt is now October and they refuse to cancel and refund my money

Customer service and sales departments have been very helpful in getting me rolling using their softwareHighly recommend their product

I can neither recommend nor steer someone away from this software I've gone through a LOT of tax preparation software programs and this neither is the best, nor is it close to the worst The pros for this are:
Excellent customer service Absolutely excellent Every issue resolved in a timely manner (except one - I'm trying not to hold that one against them)
The program itself is intriguing I like how it feels, it's easy to use on any devise, digital signatures, though I'd like to see that expand for those clients who are not in person

Cost It's one the the least expensive ones out there for a program at this level
Cons:
Good grief, this has bugs!! If you can get past the bugs that it has (through their top notch customer service), then it's pretty good A lot of the states came back with minor errors after filing in the form of letters Luckily most of them were in favor of the client, so not a big deal for them I know that if I continue with them, I have to watch the state heavily for errors
Some of the more extensive business return forms are lacking Not all the correct state forms are available, requiring me to file those by paper
All in all, it's pretty good The bugs that were involved were frustrating, but I've had many issues with other programs that far outweighed these issues

I've been preparing tax returns with computer software ever since it's been offeredI've used ATX, Pro Series, TaxAct, and now MyTAXprep office for the first time this yearThe concept is greatA cloud based program that I can access on either a Mac or a PC, a tablet, or even a phoneBut be forewarned: this software still has a lot of bugsI've wasted a lot of time with things that just don't workOn occasion, an expandable menu category won't expandYou'll get reject messages when creating e-files for items that mysteriously just show up on the return (like the state return errors being shown as errors on the Non Resident worksheet)You'd think after four years they'd have worked it outIn their favor, their support staff is reasonably fast at responding and usually fixes everything, although I'm still having problems with my foreign country just disappearing...sometimes it wants a zip code for a domestic address that I don't have; it's just a lot of things that I've never had happen with any other softwareWould I recommend them? I don't knowThe price is reasonable but after all the wasted time, error messages, etc., the price isn't that important to me But like I said, the concept is greatMaybe they'll improve????? And I'll say it again: their support is pretty good, especially in light of the fact that with this software, you have to use them A LOT!

Software is not what they say it isI have had several issues with this company and its software which I purchased to use for the tax filing seasonThe software, on more than one return calculated incorrectly which caused me to have to amend clients returnsThis is not a preparer issue this is a software issueI was told I could file federal and state returns however to date I can not file a ** return and that was the main question asked during the sales call because I live very close to the ** border I do have several ** clientsThere are various printing issues that are software relatedThese things have been reported to the company and although very apologetic there has been no remedyI have asked for my money to be returned on more than one occasion however, no return as of yet

Called to get some information about software but sales rep somehow find a way and get my credit card number and charged to it right away, After I realized the charge and called back to cancel the subscription and remove the charge, Sales rep connected me to Sales manager *** *** whom offered me refund for the half of subscription charge if I don't dispute the charge to my bank and keep the year subscription I waited more than days but never received any refund , whenever I connected sales manager over the phone and by email advised that I need to wait about more days for Pay Pal confirming fund to MyTaxPrep Office,
After months of waiting when I called back they told me that Sales manager Donovon Murphy is no longer with the company and all the deals and promises given by him is not going to be honored, The more sad part was all the people working there are on sales team and instead of helping to understand the problem they were only focusing to get your credit card information and sell renewal software
I didn't do any return with the software they made me buy and don't recommend anyone to fall in their trap and give their credit card information even they tell you they will not charge
They are not trusted company for sure and I strongly urge anyone whom got similar experience and couldn't get their refund back should file a complain to

I am very disappointed, the agreement is not true at all, when both parties *** *** and me , enter in this contract she told me the capacity of support and network are fantastic, but don't have enough technical support team, the customer support is poor

MyTAXPrepOffice software has a number of excellent features not available in other Tax Prep software pkgs
It is Webb/Cloud based so it is available from any computer in any location and a copy is always available anyplaceIf you are at a clients location, or at a coffee shop with a laptop, any tax file can be viewed
Very short learning curve as it simulates the IRS forms to simply fill in as you would if doing a return manually, but of course without the redundancy of entering data or calculation
It is always up to dateUpdates and revisions are automatically
installed as they are available
I found the support team to be excellent and very responsiveI could always get an answer to any question
Affordable and includes e-file without any extra charge

I started using MyTaxPrepOffice in February of this year when my old tax software company ran into major issues with getting my returns to transmit to the IRS A friend of mine seen an advertise of the MYTaxPrepOffice software on the internet and I decided to give them a call Best call I ever madeThe software was much cheaper than the company I had previously used and their support team is awesomeThere response time to a situation was almost always immediate or they would send you an email and let you know that were working on the situation
They even allow you to make payments towards your software This was a plus for me because I am a small tax officeI am so very grateful to have this software company and look forward to the tax seasonThanks MyTaxPrepOffice
