NACE ordered incorrect part for repair. The will not refund any of the money that was deposited, they want more money to complete the repair
I gave NACE $215.00 cash to start the repair of a samunge refrigerator. They called a week later to come and install the part. While they were at the house they informed me that the part that they ordered was incorrect and if I wanted the correct part I would have to pay more money for it. the cost estimate was another $180.00 plus the $225.00 for labor to install it. When I called to question this I was told that the part could not be returned to the vendor open and I would have to pay it because it was not their fault it as the vendors

Desired Outcome

I would like to get a refund of $215.00 from NACE so I can contract anothere factory authorized company to come and fix my refrigerator

We went to Mr L home and ordered him the parts for Samsung icemaker per Samsungs service bulletin which was the correct parts per Samsung when we arrived for install we discovered that the main pcb in the kit was incorrect for his model , I then called Samsung and spoke to their technical support team and was told that there was a mistake on service bulliten that the pcb for this frig would have to be ordered separately which would carry a extra cost for part , but at this time we instructed Mr L that we wouldn't charge him that the we would cover the pcb not him he agreed so we ordered the main pcb
After we ordered the pcb Mr L called Samsung and per him they gave him a concession number to cover his parts which is great for him but Samsung sent the workorder to another Service Center we then advised Mr L that if he called Samsung back and got the work order sent to us that we could cover his parts under warranty and that there wouldn't be any additional charges as he already paid the labor amount but if he didn't contact Samsung to have the call sent to us there wouldn't be any reimbursement as he already used the deposit he paid by having us do part of the repair and for restocking fees for sending his pcb back that he agreed to pay for , But Mr L never called Samsung to have them send us the call therefore there will be no refund because he didn't allow us to finish the repair
If he would have called Samsung to have the call sent to us there would be no issue and his icemaker would have been repaired by now but apparently he found a cheaper alternative and expects us to absorb all the cost but he is the one that breached the contract not us as we were willing to finish the repair

NACE did not order the second part to my knowledge.
I was originally told by the NACE representative that they could not send the original part back and there would be an additional charge to order the correct one.
I contacted Samsung and they informed me that they would replace the parts for free, I would have to pay the labor to have them removed and replaced. They informed me that they had sent the ticket to Lakes Electronics Inc.
I informed NACE of this and they asked me to see if the ticket could be sent to them instead.
I contacted Samsung and their response was NACE does not have an agreement with Samsung, they are not a certified repair company so we have sent it to Lakes Electronics Inc.
I was unable to persuade them to send it to NACE.
After I informed NACE that Samsung was unwilling to send the ticket to them, they offered to order the parts and come and replace the board as long as I paid the remainder of the estimate, another 225.00 approx.
Samsung was sending an authorized representative out to correct the issue.
I would like to have my original deposit refunded from NACE.

everything the customer said is untrue and fabricated to fit his claims he knew the part was ordered and he also knew we offered to pay for the new board before he spoke to Samsung about a concession I have spoken to Samsung and they said that they never told Mr L we weren't authorized I attatched a letter from them proving we are an a Samsung authorized service center and you can find us or there service locator site but that is all besides the point
The point of the matter is Mr L contracted us to do a repair and paid a deposit for the repair and then he wanted to change the terms half way through the project by having Samsung cover the parts , even though we were under no legal obligation to change the contract at that point we were willing to help the customer by doing it under Samsungs concession number and per Samsung all customer had to do was request the change of servicers which was never done.
I am sorry that this all happened but we were willing to finish the repair and Mr L would not allow us and therefore he broke the contract and there is no money due to him if what he is saying is true his fight is with Samsung not us

Problem on Washer never repaired after 2 service calls and Business never returns my calls, No faith or confidence in this company.
1-31-2019 Paul with Nace Appliance came out to look at our LG Wash machine(LG approved to service)from the sound of problem sounded like motor issue. This part was under warranty (10 yrs) so had to go with LG Approved service company. Paul came out agreed was motor, he ordered part. Paul said would be total of $210.00 to fix, half now and half when replace. Took several days part to come in, on 2-7-19 Paul replaced motor, ran a quick check (rinse an spin) said was working, I asked if should put in a load he said not necessary, if still a problem would not have gotten that far. (We were getting an LE message, usually means issue with motor). That evening I ran a load of clothes and within a minute LE message came up. the next morning I called Nace appliance told secretary still problem, she would have Paul call. No call, next day I called appliance store, secretary said, she spoke to Paul and said it was the board, have to order would be $279.00, told her no, Paul needs to call me. Paul called , said was the board, told him I didn't think was, but told him I was not going to pay for a board, He said he would call LG talk to his service rep and call me, would see if he could get them to cover the board. I asked if he checked the wiring, said he did, I know he did not cause I was watching from the kitchen window (of the garage door)never took the back off the machine to look at the board or wires. Pure guessing on his part of what the problem is. You can tell by the sound it still makes is still issue in the motor area To this date he has yet to return my calls or even try to solve any issue being the machine or a refund of at least half. LG washer Model #***
Serial # ***
Both service calls paid by check. $105.00 each time.

Desired Outcome

Am requesting at least half of the service call of $210.00 refunded ($105.00) First service call to diagnose the issue (took less than 30 min) would have to order part. had to pay half, Second service call put in part (took less than 45 min). Problem never solved, sais would have to have another part.

On 1/31/2019 We did go to Mr*** home to look at his LG washer on which he had an LE error code , I looked at washer and determined that it would need a rotor and stator and possibly a main PCB board, I spoke to Mr *** and instructed him of my findings and he said that he only wanted the warranty parts put in as there is a 10 year parts warranty on the rotor and stator , I then instructed him that if after we installed those parts if he would still get an LE error that he would also need the main pcb and that he would be responsible for the cost if he wanted it installed. He then called his wife and they spoke and he said they would take their chances. I at this time had him sign the workorder agreeing to the terms, which I have attatched

I then returned on 02/07/2019 and installed the rotor and stator , I also at this time found the rear left leg of the washer was rusting through and I informed the cust that he would need to block up that corner with some kind of shim to make the washer stable so it could be tested properly but I did run a test cycle which seemed like it was ok but without clothes as the washer needed to be stable to test properly it did pass the test cycle and I told cust that once he blocks up back corner to run a load to see if it works or if it would need a control also and to call me if he needed the main pcb and I left

The next day he called and said washer wasn't working and we quoted him the price to install control and he declined to continue with the repair and that's the last I heard from him until now

I am sorry he is upset about his washer still not working I was very honest with him that the washer could need the control and he elected not to do it knowing that it was very possible it would need it , if he wants it installed he would have to pay the quoted fee of $279.00 for main control , but we performed the work he hired us for and therefore there will be no refund

Paul never called back or tried to fix situation. He said would call LG an let me know if they would cover the board he claimed was bad (I called LG explain to them) LG said Paul should have at least a 30 day warrant to come back if same problem exist. Paul was too quick to say it was the board. The board gives you the message if a problem, it still had the problem in the motor area, same noise. As far as the leg goes the machine was level, if it wasn't how was he able to do a test?? The rust was on the machine, the legs are made of plastic, no problem in leveling. Bottom line machine was not repaired, I aid two service alls, got bad service from someone who guesses at problems until hopefully gets it right. I am requesting at least half of my money back.

Nace Appliance Repair & Service Response • Mar 02, 2019

I have explained to the customer before ordering the rotor and stator that it would probably need a control and he elected to not do it right away, the only thing he paid for was the rotor and stator installation, this is not guess work it is a fact, also the left rear leg is wobbling from the leg mount being rusted he needs to block it up
Bottom line is customer paid to have a rotor and stator installed even thought he was advised it could need the control also , and we installed exactly what he asked for we will gladly return and finish the repair for the quoted amount, but we did the work the customer asked for so there will be no refund

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer/dryer from *** in April 2016 with the Extended Warranty Plan. In October 2018, a dryer started to make a loud sound that sounded like a barring going out in the motor. I reported this to the *** service center on Oct 12, 2019 and they schedule a 3rd party contractor, NACE Appliance Repair and Service. The technician arrived and took the dryer apart and determined that the sound was indeed coming from the motor and said the motor would need to be replaced. He then said it would probably be an issue with *** because "they don't cover noise issues". He then told me, "*** is like that. If you would have purchased it from ***, they cover noises". He then said he would report the issue to the *** Service Rep for this district. He came back to me 5 minutes later and said it was what he told me and *** will not cover noises and the motor is running, so they will not replace the motor. He advised me to call the Service Warranty Center back to dispute the decision. Upon calling them, they were unaware of the decision and still showed an open ticket. After research and speaking with the Nace Technician, he outright lied about his diagnosis and conversation with me. He reported to the District service representative that the motor was fine and was making a slightly louder noise due to excess lent in the compartment. He said he never stated that I needed a new motor to fix the issue and that he never told me that *** covered noise issues. He further lied saying the I brought up *** and that he said they don't cover noises either. He reported blatant, outright lies. These lies caused the District Service Rep to deny the claim. I don't know what kind of contract Nace has with ***, but I have to assume that they are paid a set amount as a 3rd party contractor and then cover the costs of repair, otherwise, why lie about the issue? The noise is so loud that the door to the laundry has to be shut to keep the sound contained and if the motor is making that much noise, it is not working properly, so what did I buy the extended warranty for? This same Revdex.com complaint will also be filed against ***, as they sold me the warranty and are responsible for the 3rd party contractors they hire. Someone is making out on this deal, but it's not me.....THE CUSTOMER.

Frigidaire upright freezer stopped freezing on Aug 5, 2018 and on Aug 6, called Frigidaire and they sent out Nace Appliance to fix freezer. I keep my freezer in the utility room, which is part of my home inside. My freezer is 10 yrs old and have been paying all these years for the extended warranty. He comes in and says the room is too hot and that is the problem without even looking at the freezer. It was 85 degrees in there and I told him I have had freezers in there for 25 yrs and the heat was never a problem before. The maximum degrees you are allowed to keep warranty is 110 degrees. No way in Gods name is the inside of my house that hot. I had put 4 bottles of water in there to show it wasn't even freezing them but he would not listen. He went back to Frigidaire and reported the room to be 110 degrees which voided the warranty so that they did not have to fix or replace it knowing it was 10 yrs old. This was his way out to void the warranty. So, now it is a week later and I had to go out and buy a new freezer out of my pocket after carrying a warranty for over 8 years. I called Frigidaire and they would not do anything and told me they had to go by what Nace reported. This guy took away the warranty that quick because they did not want to replace it or fix it. The room still reads between 80-85 degrees. He does not need to take advantage of people, especially the elderly.
Product_Or_Service: Frigidaire Upright Freezer
Account_Number:

Desired Outcome

Store Credit Since I had to go out and buy a new one to put my food in, Frigidaire needs to refund me and Nace needs to correct the information he sent to Frigidaire about the temperature. I spent alot of money on the extended warranty and they need to refund me for the cost of a new freezer

I am sorry this customer is unhappy but we did nothing wrong , When I arrived at home for service the temp in freezer was 0 degrees and the condenser was overheating, this freezer was in a non airconditioned room in Florida when it was around a hundred degrees outside inside the room my thermometer read 105 and it was still morning, I then instructed cust that the unit is overheating due to the ambient tempature which she disagreed with I explained that if the ambient temp gets higher than the condenser temp it could no longer exchange heatand would stop cooling.
I then called Frigidaire and spoke to their technical support center which had me take an amp draw of the compressor which read normal and he then instructed me that he agreed with my diagnosis. At this point I instructed the cust that there was nothing further I could do as the unit was cooling and she refused to move the freezer into a temperature controlled environment.
I left I had no idea that Frigidaire cancelled her warranty or what happened after that . Once again I am sorry she is unhappy but I feel as if I did my job well under the guidelines of her extended warranty
Thankyou

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My freezer is kept in part of my home and no way is the temperature in my home over 100 degrees. It is kept in my utility home, which is part of my living area. My home is air-conditioned and ceiling fans in every room. This man knew my freezer was 10 yrs old and knew 110 degrees voided the contract, that is why he stated that the room was too hot. I placed bottles of water in freezer the day before and they were not even frozen when he came. This company--Nace Appliance should not be in business. He was very rude and would not listen to anything I said. I have had freezers in that room for over 20 yrs and they all worked fine. This freezer was over 10 yrs old and that is why he voided the extended warranty. I feel Frigidaire should have honored the warranty and I will never take out another or buy another product from them and I will post every chance I get not to buy from them.

I have been an appliance technician for 34 years and I am highly ranked in my field , I have no reason to lie my intentions are to help customers not hurt them. But this customer is telling a fabrication of the truth the freezer wasn't in an airconditioned room and she didn't have and jugs of water in her unit and she stated to me at the time of service she just plugged it in an hour or two before I arrived. Also she needs to understand I have no control over what Frigidaire does I have no authority to cancel her warranty and I took no steps to make that happen, I am sorry she is unhappy but her fight is not with me its with Frigidaire. I was just doing my job
