They gave me a complete refundThat is what I wantedThey withdrew money from my Amex card without my knowledgeI had asked if there was any catches and they said no, while secretly taking $from me each and every month that I never new about or authorizedI am glad I caught there fraudulent behavior before it went much longerHad I used my Visa, which didn't work, I would have noticed these un-authorized fraudulent charges much sooner

Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/09/14) */
Hello ***,
I apologize if the terms of being an Angel were not fully understood
Under the 'Angels' tab online - there is a disclosure regarding the monthly Free Angel bottle; it states "Each month our winemakers reward Angels with a free bottle of something niceIt's popped straight in your online basket ready for when you order a case." The monthly free bottles do not accumulate and expire at the end of each month
I hope this helps and again, I'm sorry for any confusion
Warm Regards,
NakedWines.com

Hi Cindy,I'm so sorry that you feel our offer of the $off wine voucher is misleading.Unfortunately, the State of Massachusetts has decided that wine being shipped into the state can't qualify for such a large discount so they've given us permission to give you a 20% discount on your first
purchase which is taken off of your order upon checkout once you've entered your voucher code and password. If you'd like, I can help customize an order so you can take advantage of amazing wines at great pricesAgain, I'm truly sorry for the inconvenienceIf you have any questions, please reach our team at 1-***We will be available from 6:00am to 6:00pm PST, Monday through Friday.Warm Regards,***

Hi [redacted],
I sincerely appreciate all of the feedback you shared and would like to clarify a few details with you.
All vouchers at NakedWines.com include a minimum spend requirement in compliance with current laws; we can't legally ship...

free alcohol. The minimum spend requirement on the $100 off voucher from Pro Flowers is $160 - which is stated on the voucher itself. We fund independent winemakers to make wines exclusively for NakedWines.com - many of the winemakers have worked at prestigious wineries throughout Napa Valley, Italy, Australia and France. We've given the winemaker an opportunity to make wines with their label - not a winery label.
NakedWines.com is not a scam; we're passionate [redacted] making great wines affordable and providing superior service to our customers. I'm sorry for any misunderstandings and assure you that you've not incurred any charges from us.
I hope that I've been able to address the concerns that you've expressed.
Best Regards,
NakedWines.com

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There are good business advertising practices and there are many bad and deceiving practices as well. The companies associated with Pro Flowers, Nakedwines and other are using deceiving techniques to attract customers regardless of the outcome for as long as they can get away with it until people realize that they have been victims of one more cheap scam.
All the information that is printed in small letters should be printed in big bold letters before the actual ad.
There is no need for unscrupulous businesses, but we live in a free society and this is the bad part. This proves again that there is no Free Lunch. I am glad that I did not became a new victim from these crooks.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/24) */
Hello [redacted],
At NakedWines.com, we honor a satisfaction guarantee on all purchases. I assure you that since you've not ordered with NakedWines.com - you have not incurred any charges. The credit card information you entered has been completely disabled from the account that you created.
All NakedWines.com vouchers clearly stipulate the terms surrounding the use of the voucher. As I stated previously, all vouchers require a minimum spend in compliance with present State and Federal laws. I'm sorry if you were disappointed by the terms of the voucher requirements.
Sincerely,
NakedWines.com

Hi [redacted],
I'm very sorry for any confusion surrounding your NakedWines.com account. It's never our intent to deceptively enroll customers in the Angels program. An Angel welcome letter was enclosed in your initial wine shipment describing...

the terms of the Angel program. Prior to application of the charges, we attempted to contact you through email and voice several times.
Immediately upon your contacting the NakedWines.com Customer Happiness team on May 10th, a full refund was processed back to your card. As you requested - you were removed from the Angels program and will not incur any charges going forward.
Warm Regards,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/05/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
It resolves my personal situation, but this is the typical corporate strategy of quickly resolving the complaints of people who catch the offense and take action, knowing that they will keep the money of the many people who do not catch it or simply don't want to go through the hassle of seeking restitution. Their statement about having tried to contact me by phone and email repeatedly seems highly implausible. There was a series of highly confusing emails about "only X more people on the waiting list to become Angel members" that made no sense to me.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. HOWEVER, I hope that it will be more clearly stated on future vouchers. Also, I think that Char-Broil should be aware of this minimum order policy. It's not really a minimum order, the deal (as it appeared to me) is you HAVE to spend $160 of your own money FIRST, in order to receive $100 off on anything else that is added to the order. But as long as you have removed my information, and won't charge me (because others online said that even though they cancelled, their cards were charged - I found this by using Google to look up your "deals"), then I accept your response.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Hi [redacted], I'm very sorry to hear that you felt the terms and conditions of the Char broil voucher you received weren't initially clear. All NakedWines.com vouchers have a minimum spend requirement and conditions that we must lawfully comply with. The Char broil voucher in circulation does...

stipulate the minimum spend with the words, "Valid on orders $160+. Restrictions apply, visit URL for details" printed right below the bottles depicted on the voucher. I can understand your concerns and I've forwarded your feedback to the appropriate parties, as we always strive to be as upfront and clear about our offers as possible. I researched the account you created at NakedWines.com and can confirm that you did not place an order and were not charged. I have also removed your personal details from our system and site as you requested, effective immediately. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any other questions or concerns as I would be more than happy to assist you. Regards, [redacted]
