Nallys Automotive Reviews (31)

Review: Upon going to retrieve my personal belongings from a vehicle I had purchased from them, they told me that the subwoofers (that I had purchased and installed myself, after purchasing the vehicle) would not be removed from the car and would be sold along with the car to the next owner. Upon getting home I inspected the belongings they did give back to me and I found a part to my sound system, which means they were in fact removed from said vehicle. they would not allow me to speak to an owner to resolve this issue. in my eyes this company has stole my personal belongings and are using them for their personal profit, which is against the law.Desired Settlement: Really all I want is my personal belongings that I put into the car. I willingly gave them the car back and did not put up a fight to keep the car. They are taking something that they did not own, those speakers were mine. I just want what is rightfully mine. I have installed these exact speakers in each of my cars and can prove that I own and paid for them.

Review: I purchased this vehicle from Nally's in full, the agreement was that I needed to take the car through inspection. The first day I had it, within two hours the check engine light came on. I have been unable to do take this car through inspection due to the check engine light consistently coming on. I have take this car back to them multiple times for them to fix and they have failed to do so correctly. They now refuse to fix my car even though it has yet to go through inspection. It also is still currently under 90 day warranty & has failed inspection once already. They have forbidden me from contacting them and have left me with a damaged car.

Response:

[redacted] did purchase a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica from Nally's Automotive on May 24, 2014.

We did inform our customer that the vehicle needed to go thru the inspection lane within fourteen days of purchase to warrant our guarantee. The check engine light came on due to a faulty oxygen sensor. This was not our customers fault and it was not our fault it is an unfortunate circumstance that no one can predict. We did replace the oxygen sensor in the pacifica because that is what was making the check engine light illuminate . We asked her to drive the vehicle for a day or two and contact us with any further issues. She contacted us within a few days stating the check engine light came on once again. This was due to the second oxygen sensor also going bad which makes perfect sense that they would go roughly at the same time. We again fixed this one for free based on our inspection guarantee. She picked up the vehicle and was very happy with the completed repair. We asked her to please take the vehicle to the inspection lane within time allotted and she agreed. She did not do her part. The customer did not run the vehicle thru the inspection lane until July 23, 2014. Please see attached inspection sheet. This was well after the allotted fourteen days. (She declined the upgraded warranty which is available for a minimal cost to our customers for their protection.) Also, after we fixed her vehicle and almost six weeks after the purchase of her vehicle she returned to our office with a man she stated was her boyfriend. This male entered our office on [redacted]'s behalf and in front of not only my employees but other potential customers including children used abusive foul language including the "F" word several times and was escorted off of our property. [redacted] is responsible for whomever she chooses to represent her and this conduct will not be permitted. My employees were afraid for their safety due to his hostile outburst. [redacted] failed to state that we did work with her and tried to help her in any way possible even as far as the owner giving her his private cell phone number if she determined any more troubles after the repairs were made. We were completely sympathetic and were more than willing to work out the issues with her vehicle until this unacceptable incident. We had the vehicle ready for inspection and the customer procrastinated following thru with her responsibility and we cannot repair vehicles for ungrateful belligerent customers .

Review: I went into a auto contract with Nally's automotive and I made my payments on time until a week were I called and made a partial payment and asked if I could pay the 50 dollars with my next payment ,I was told yes by a Female clerk then on Saturday night my car was repossessed with out warning knowing the company would be closed on Sunday and I stress all of my kids clothing and my work belongings were inside the car. Nally's did not report to the police department that they had done a repossession therefore I called the police to file a theft report. I missed a day of work and I had to keep my children home from school due to them not having no close for a 7 day late payment this is really extreme ,then Monday morning I along with my girlfriend go to Nally,s to see how to resolve the matter and as my girlfriend [redacted]n who is on the contract as a co buyer was speaking to the female there she became extremely rude Ignorate, and out right hostal when we begun to question why we were lied to over the phone and in person she immediately ask us to leave and called 911 keep in mind we never used profanity never got rude with her just asking her question about the car. then she did not pay attention to my file because [redacted]n is the co buyer and the female kept yelling saying I am not talking to you your not on the police then when the boss and another female arrive after she told me I couldn't speak to anyone eles I had to deal with her and she was not talking to us . the boss and his side kick were very rude very confrontational and never asked what happened or anything just Ignorate and non caring the bottom line is Nally's Automotive lied to me about the condition of my car and I have the sales man on phone video saying so also the customer service is terrible, my car was repossessed for 50 dollars 7 days late after she gave me a verble agreement she would have my payment by the 13th of april..then they agreed to give me the car back if I payed over 7,000 dollars to themDesired Settlement: I want Nally's to keep there 2006 dodge magnum like they intended and I want a refund of my deposit 3'000 dollars because they explained the warranty and I read it and since I have had the car I have paid out of pocket for a lot of repairs to this car because no repair shop will deal with Nally's warranty due to there bad history with Nally's

Response:

First and foremost, ALL repossessions are reported to New Castle County Police or the corresponding State Police according to jurisdiction. Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle was repossessed due to non-payment. At Nally's Automotive we pride ourselves on excellent customer service. In doing so, we work with our customers to make payment arrangements that are feasible on both ends. In this case, there was NO PAYMENTARRANGEMENT NOR PHONE CALL EVER MADE which is what lead to the repossession of Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle. We do understand that people make mistakes and businesses do as well, no one ininfallible of error. That being said, we were more than willing to look into account details and phone records to see if there was some type of miscommunication. Unfortunately , due to the rudeness and foul language from Mr. [redacted] and his spouse, they made it impossible for my staff to address their concerns at that very moment . The body language alone, as Mr. [redacted] strut his way towards my employee until they were face to face, was intimidating enough to cause my office to have to call the police in fear of a physical altercation. We refused to tolerate the cursing and character defamation of our staff so we had the police escort Mr. [redacted] and his spouse off of our property. It was explained to them while they were in our office what had to be done in order to redeem their vehicle.A letter stating the same was also mailed out (see attached). In addition , we let them know that we'd still look into things (with them out of our office) and ifanything was found to be in error we would contact them. It's unfortunate that this had to escalate to the pojnt it did, however you get more bees with honey ...... Had they come in without all the negative comments and smart remarks we could have possibly had a better outcome. I refuse to have my staff talked dov.-n to and cursed at repeatedly. In conclusion, refunding their deposit is not an option after repossession. Typically I'd be willing to sit and discuss things with them further, however just by reading their complaint, their approach to the whole situation and the false accusations being made I feel its best we go no further. If there is any additional information I can provide, you may contact me, [redacted]

Review: Nally's Automotive is a disgusting place of business they are all unprofessional very ignorant no customer service skills racist and disrespectful. I was a co buyer on a vehicle and the payment was 7 days pass due which I understand and they repossessed the car whit all my children's laundry in it on Saturday night and of course they are close on Sunday so on Monday morning I go to Nallys to retrieve our belongings and the trash receptionist got upset because I ask her was it to much to give me a courtesy call on Saturday and when I mentioned I had video of the car sales man lying to me about what he fixed on the car she ask told me I was not on the policy and for me to leave then she called the police to avoid answering and questions. I am on the policy and she refused to deescalate the situation not once yelled at her or disrespected her and the whole time I was being treated like trash my children were present hearing all the threats and disrespect coming from nallys employees I put a lot of money into the car they sold me which came with a so called warranty no respectable auto repair shop would touch my car because of the bad blood with Nally's fraudulent warranty. They have an unjust policy and a horrible way of doing business they took over 5000 dollars from me and I want half back due to my kids missing school because they refused to give me my kids clothes back after I paid the 50 to get them I had to waist 2 hours and call the delaware state police to get them ,I missed work because they held my work clothes and badge. they would not let me check the car to get my belongings and I am missing a lot of items.Desired Settlement: I want half of the amount of what I paid into that car due to the fact I did not have the car for 3 months they can keep half for the miles I put on it but the rest should come back because the warranty was some bs and when I gave them the car to fix one of the many issues the rigged it up they unplugged my seat belt indicator because they couldn't fix it. I came out of pocket to repair everything I was told was just done on that car a lie so I want that money back also.

Review: I called Nally's Auto the beginning of may, to set up payment arrangements for my tags and my car payment. Due to being sick the previous week, I had less hours then I normally do. Therefore I could not make the payment of the tags and the weekly car payment. Tags was 394.00 my car payment was 200. I called and I spoke with [redacted], She made payment arrangements with me. I offered to pay the 394 first (so they could cash the check they had. That they made me make out when I purchased the car a month prior) if they could put the 200 dollars I needed to pay in the rear, There would be no way with my part time employment that I would be able to catch up otherwise. [redacted] offered that I pay 294 towards my tags, 100 towards my payment and then I would pay the other 100 in person where she would give me my check back with my tags. I said fine, that sounds great. So I proceeded to do this, I called in and made my payment of 200 the next week. I offered to pay my tags off in full on 5/30/2014. I was told that 100 would go towards my tags, and the rest towards my payment by Heather. On June 6th my mother went to pick up my tags because I thought they were payed up. Turns out they told me that the 200 went towards my whole car payment. I told them, That's not what I was told and they said that's what happened. So my mother paid them 100 dollars to pick up my tags. Later that day, I learned that my account was overdrawn and that they sent the check in instead of returning it like they said. My account was overdrawn for almost a week. I called them on the 6th (the same day my mother picked up my tags) asked why they sent the check in when I was told it would be returned. They proceeded to tell me that There was no notations on my account and it was sent in. I told them that they overdrew my account. They told me to call back Monday. On Monday 6/9/14 I called fist thing in the morning when they opened at 9:30. I was told I would get a call back. [redacted] left me a message saying they would refund the 394. I said that's good but what about the bank fees that I incurred because of your mistake. She told me that she will check in with book keeping. I called Tuesday, I was told the same thing again and that someone would call me back. No one called me back. I called Wednesday. I was told that because [redacted] is out, She would be the one dealing with my situation. She will call me tomorrow. I called Thursday around 12 because I did not receive a call. I was told [redacted] is in a meeting and she will call me back. I called again 5 minutes before they closed, to be told that [redacted] left. I called Friday, was told that book keeping may not refund the fees. I went up there on Friday to speak with someone and they gave me the refund for the 394. (after I visited twice due to them telling me to come in the morning and not having anything I needed ready.) I asked about the bank fees again. I was told someone will call me back. Again no one call me back. I had my mother call Saturday (she is the co-buyer on my car) She spoke with them and also got the run around. They told her to call book keeping. I call again Monday and asked to speak to book keeping. I was not directed to book keeping and was told again Book keeping would not refund the charges. I asked them why I should pay bank charges for a mistake they made in the first place due to no one notating anything on my account. She said Someone will call me back. It is now Tuesday evening and I have not received a call. Every time I do call I get someone with a not so pleasant attitude. I have asked if they would at least take the fees out of my car payment instead, and still no response. I don't believe I should have to pay 58 dollars in fees for a mistake they made.Desired Settlement: refund for the bank charges, or take it out of my car payment.

[redacted] purchased a vehicle from Nally's Automotive on April 5, 2014. When our customer's purchase a vehicle we allow them to write a check directly to the motor vehicle department. [redacted] followed this procedure and her check was attached with her title. She did come in and speak with Nancy if reference to buying out the check which is against company policy for this exact reason. [redacted]'s paperwork was submitted to the motor vehicle with the check. My staff member did not realize that the work was already submitted and that we have no control over when the check is deposited or the work is processed by the dmv. We are required to submit-the paperwork within 30 days of purchase..[redacted] only paid a portion of her tag fee on May 16th. I will after seeing proof that her checking account was overdrawn and she accrued charges of seven dollars per day reimburse her for her inconvenience. I will only reimburse her for charges accrued up to June 13, 2014 which from the attached bank statement should be 28.00 unless otherwise proven. With this being said my employee was trying to help her out due to her lack of hours and illness so that her vehicle would not be repossessed. The reason that she feels we gave her a run around is due to her calling our office and asking for different personnel expecting a different outcome. She was told that we were not paying her overdrafts of fifty eight dollars when the proof she provided to us only shows seven dollars in overdraft fees.

Review: NALLYS AUTOMOTIVE TRIED TO SELL ME A CAR THAT HAD NOT BEEN PROPERLY INSPECTED . THEN THEY FRAUDULENTLY SIGNED MY NAME ON A RECEIPT TO EXTRACT MONEY FROM MY BANKING ACCOUNT.Desired Settlement: To refund my money back and all my bank fees...because I didn't use/keep their vehicle not even for one hour. They are rip offs and thieves.

Nally's Automotive LLC sold [redacted]t a 2003 Saturn L300 on 10/24/14. On 10/25/14 Ms. [redacted] brought the vehicle back into our facility with a complaint about the brakes. We examined the vehicle and determined there to be no issues with the brakes' whatsoever. We contacted Ms. [redacted] to tell her and her response was that she dicln't want the vehicle any longer because she was scared of what she was claiming to be a problem with the vehicles brakes. Nally's Automotive sent her a letter on 10/29/14 (see attached) explaining that she could not just abandon her vehicle at our lot since she refused to pick it up. This clearly was a case of buyer's remorse since the customer returned the vehicle the next day with a false complaint pertaining to a non existent brake issue. On 11/1114 Ms. [redacted] filed a dispute with her credit card company for the transaction •of 1,000.00 for her down payment on this vehicle. After Nally' s Automotive provided documentation of a binding contract for the purchase of the vehicle the dispute was dismissed as it was proved that Ms. [redacted] knowingly entered into a contract with the agreement to pay the 1,000.00 down payment that SHE authorized. AT NO POINT, EVER, DID NALLY'S AUTOMOTIVE SIGN MS. [redacted]S NAME OR EXTRACT MONET FROM HERBANK ACCOUNT THAT SHE DID NOT AUTHORIZE. Additionally, Nally's Automotive has a pending debt action case against Ms. [redacted] for the balance owed on the contract she signed. If any further infonnation is needed you may contact [redacted]

Review: Purchased a used vehicle March 15, 2014 , the following day the check engine light came on returned to the dealer March 17, 2014 . I was told the car was fixed 5-7 days later the check engine light came back on, the business manager told me to take the car thru inspection because the vehicle had never been through Delaware and if I bring the failed sheet to them they would fix the car so that it was able to pass inspection. I brought the car to them, and the check engine light was no longer on. The owner called to tell me that they would not help me because the car was sold as is but the vehicle will not pass state inspection and in the coming weeks, I will not be able to drive the vehicle due to expired temporary tags.Desired Settlement: Monies listed on the bill of sale returned to me and any funds given to Nally's Auto Plaza as payment.

Nally's Auto Plaza sold [redacted] a 2003 Volkswagen Beetle on March 15,2014. The vehicle was sold in AS-IS condition . [redacted] was offered a warranty on the vehicle which she declined. (SEE Attached) [redacted] did come in with her parents and I could not communicate with her due to her belligerent and rude attitude. I did however, speak with her parents who calmed her down and were very respectful. At that point we did have her bring the vehicle in to see if we could help with any of the mechanical issues she may be experiencing. When the vehicle was dropped off at our shop for a diagnosis there were no codes detected. Our customers have every opportunity to take the vehicle before purchase to a mechanic of their choosing before purchasing our used vehicles. They are allowed a test drive of the vehicle and any complaints about the vehicle need to be addressed at that time. We also, for our customer's protection have instituted a WE-OWE form in the paperwork. Anything that is owed to the customer per the salesperson is noted on this document. (SEE ATTACHED). Unfortunately, any repairs are the customer's responsibility.

I was shopping for a car and went to Nally's Automotive. I met [redacted], a new Sales guy @ Nally's. Being female I do not look forward to buying a new car. [redacted] put me at ease and helped me find the car I wanted at a reasonable price. I will be recommending [redacted] to all my girlfriends.

Buyer beware the sales people know this cars are crap I bought a car from nallys in April 2014 After driving the car whithin 2 weeks the car broke down on me . It also caught a flat I couldn't even take the tires off because the tires was locked. I called they said I need to tow the car to them and they will take the tire off . I explained the car didn't even have a spare which we found out the day we signed the contract . After that I had to take it to a mechanic close by to take the tire off . After another 2 weeks the check engine light came on took it to pep boys to get a reading and all these codes came up this is not even a full month of having this car. Afetr letting Nally 's no that all these codes came up He said to bring it in and get checked . We brought the car in to get checked he stated that we can be using the wrong fuel so that's why the light can be coming on so we changed the fuel. Ok after that another 3 weeks the car completely gave out which it didn't even move I called again and they stated that oh it's nothing can to do so I had to get the car towed to a different mechanic to get fixed which it was the cathylic convertor and the fuel pump which cost me a total of 820.00 and when I originally brought the pep boys receipt to them 2 weeks after buying the car it stated that the same part was an issue. So ok the mechanic I went to fixed the car the car was drivable. So I called Nallys to explain to them that I had an issue and had to pay for this part not even having the car for a month. and they gave me the run around where no followed up with my complaint [redacted] wasn't even aware I was calling because his family operated business didn't even give him any message. So once again the original issue started up after I got the car fixed the car check engine light came back on so I drove the car down there once again and showed receipts on how much money I already put into this car after a month and a half. so [redacted] insured he was going to look into a apologized to me that he didn't get the message and that he will check the car himself so I brought the car back in the next day in which he suggested . So the next day he became very unprofessional and stated to his secretary that we need to come get his car off his lot immediately because he feel like he being scammed. First off I should be the one feeling scammed because I haven't even had this car for a good 4 months and the day I bought this car 2 weeks after I had problems where me and my kids got stuck on the street had to borrow a car to get to work because this car I bought from them was not reliable. So anyway after that I went and picked up the car and explained to them I am the one being scammed because there salesman insured that it was a good car and even Mr. Nally stated he new the previous owner for the car the car and it was an excellent condition. So I took the car but at the same time I said with the attitude that they gave me I said to my son watch them try to take the car. And guess what I got into a accident with the car and guess what it was in a mechanic shop getting fixed and guess what they came and repoed the car saying it was 2 payments behind so I explained to them why no one called as a courtesy to say that the car was being repoed I didn't know it was repoed until I called to check the status on my car at the body shop . They stated oh they repoed the car so know u know I am burning up . I called they said owe its because you was 2 payments behind I explained I know someone that was 4 payments behind and they got there car repoed and you take my car for 2 payments but I knew they did it out of spite . so after I asked how much it will cost to get out the lady tells me 1500.00 "What " I asked why was it so high she said oh because its 450.00 for the repo then 35.00 a day for storage them 500. because they had to pick the car up . So I said when I sign the contract it did not state that I was responsible for any fees occurred for them taking it upon there self to take a car. So I asked if they have that about me being responsible for them picking the car up from the shop she stated she will call me back of course she never called me back so I called her and she tells me Oh I spoke with the general manager and she said that the policy and if I want the car that's how much it is and hung up the phone and ended the conversation . Please beware when getting a car from them they do not stand by there car if you are late they do not give you no courtesy call they will come and pick up your car and you will have to pay over 1000.00 to get it back I wouldn't let my worse enemy go through what I went through as a single parent. Please if you can save money to get a car please do so please beware the sales man is not truthful they truly do not care about there customers

Review: Nally's automotive sold me a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country Touring with low mileage (69k)however I was told the finance company only finaced the loan for 12k when in fact they financed it for 15k which is was false and misleading. Secondly my vehicle broke down 64 days post purchase date. The ignition Module went which later I found Chrysler issued a recall for this part. Currently I am stuck without a vehicle that I am making payments on and no resolution has been offered by Nally's automotive. The owner [redacted] Nally promised to find a solution which was broken. My car is currently with the Chrsyler dealer however I am at a loss of income withouth a vehicle. My 4 kids and husband are unable to get to school, and or to doctor's visit as this is our sole source of transportation. Nally's should not be able to get away with this. They had to have known there was an issue with the vehicle prior to selling it to someone and then not even offering as much as car rentalDesired Settlement: I would like a loaner/rental vehicle until mine is completely repaired and or to be offered another vehicle of the same value by Nally's automotive. I would also like for them to be audited as they are enaging in unfair business practices lying about finace amount.

Review: I purchased a 2001 acura with nally's automotive april 5th 2014. The vehicle I took to a mehcanic who looked over vehicle, and told me the transmission was going on the vehicle. I stopped making payments on vehicle, to aviod getting stuck with a bad car. Nally"s came to retreive the vehicle for non payment, in which I was all to happy to let them keep, I even went back to return the key's, and let them know I had no interest in the vehicle, and would sign paper's releasing back to nally"s in which I did. I purchased a warrenty for 1 year named progaurd. When I called pro gaurd, they were all to happy to except my cancelation , and told me what channels to go through to retrieve my monies that I was entitled to. Progaurd sent a check for 430.00 to nallys to send to me for my cancerlation of the warenty, and nally's will not give my monies back to me.This was a optional product, how can they keep my money on something I purchased optional. this is plain theft from a so called business to a customer. I intend to file on them through the court system.. Pro gaurd is on my side with this...Desired Settlement: I would like my monies back, that is owed to me.

Response:

[redacted] did in fact purchase this vehicle on April 5, 2014. She did take the vehicle to a mechanic before deciding to purchase the vehicle. If at any point her mechanic told her there were any issues with the transmission she was under no obligation to purchase this vehicle with the large selection of vehicles we offer for sale. Please see the attached "WE OWE" \hat clearly states that nothing was promised to this customer and nothing was noted for any vehicle repairs. ( Please see attached purchase agreement.) [redacted] submitted a down payment in the amount of 2000.00 plus put 175.00 for document transfer fees and 400.00 down towards the warranty as shown in down fees. The total warranty price is 1095.00 the balance of the warranty was placed into her loan in the amount of 695.00 . She is not entitled to any refund. The refund that was returned to us was the unused balance of the remaining time on the warranty that Nally's Automotive had paid in full at the time of her purchase. [redacted] states the reason that she did not pay her payments was so that she did not get stuck with a vehicle that did not run properly. One has nothing to do with the other the purchase of the vehicle and any needed repairs does not have any impact on whether you pay for your vehicle or not.
