Please refer to complaint #[redacted]. I did not realize by my choosing I accept the company's offer that it would close the complaint. I will accept their offer under the conditions noted only and I will need them to also replace parts of the pool that have rotted from the rust in order to properly re-assemble the pool. The upper and lower tracks. Also, they have not responded to the numerous phone messages that have been left to attempt to resolve this matter with the stipulations mentioned.

The installer sent me an email stating that they would call yesterday.  As of now they have not called and no appointment has been made.

Review: We purchased our pool in July of 2014. [redacted] was told this account was to be 3 years 0% financing.

Namco is stating that this is 24 months.

This whole situation has been a complete nightmare from purchase date, to install, to today. The "customer service" reps are rude, uncaring, and unwilling to help.

We did not realize that there was a minimum payment due and paid the $160 payment 7 days late in October of 2014. Since then they have charged us late fees on top of late fees. We have paid $160 every month since we purchased the pool even though we were waiting for the installers to come back when Namco sold us a defective pool, and we had to drain the 10,000 gallons of water we had delivered.

Namco should do the right thing here and fix the financing months, and take the late fees off.Desired Settlement: Change the financing terms to the agreed upon terms to July 2017, and waive the late fees.

Review: I have a credit card with Namco. I made a payment on 11/06/2015 for $213 for the month of November. On 11/24/2015 I made a payment of $200 for the month of December. On 12/29/2015 I made a payment of $200 for the month of *anuary. On 1/26/2016 I made a payment of $250 for the month of February. I was charged a $37 late fee on the December billing cycle and another $37 late fee on the *anuary billing cycle. I made early payments and I'm being charged late fees for them. I called Namco customer service on 1/23/2016 and spoke to the customer service manager [redacted] and she informed me that Namco's system cannot accept early payments and if you pay before the 25th of each month it will only count toward the current month's payment. I informed her that I am being penalized for making early payments and she told me there was nothing they could do.Desired Settlement: I want the $37 late fee refunded to my account. In addition, I want the due date of my bill to be on the 25th of each month to avoid this in the future.

Review: We bought a [redacted] 24' pool from the [redacted] store in Mar.of 2013. It was installed in May 2013. It was closed by a pool company in Oct 2014 for the winter. When opened in May 2015 serious damage had occurred. The side supports had cracked at the top (10 of them). The screws had been completely pulled out. There was also damage to 5 of the top rails (they were deformed). The liner also had holes in it from the ice. I am not concerned about the liner as I can understand that being damaged. When we bought the pool in 2013 the salesman, store manager [redacted], had told us this was a new pool that Namco had added to its line-up. He went on to tell us that it was warrantied for all winter damage. We chose this pool since we live in [redacted].I called the [redacted] store after having our pool company come out and tell us what needed to be replaced. I emailed pictures of the damage to the store. I followed up the following week and they had not gotten the email I emailed them again to the store and asked they call me when they receive them. [redacted] called and said he would submit it to the warranty dept through their internal system ([redacted]). I asked that he include my request that someone follow up with me from Corporate b/c I know Namco is notorious for bad service. [redacted] did indicate that they no longer tell cunstomers that winter is covered. No one from corp called me. I kept calling the Namco warranty number only to be onn hold from 20-75 minutes. I do work so I could not stay on hold continuously. On 5/15 I was able to reach someone and asked to speak to a mgr, I was transferred back to the [redacted] str. to an asst mgr.he told me that "[redacted]" from corp. had decided that the damage was not warrantied but Namco would provide the parts at a discount and that I should contact my homeowners insurance. This is not acceptable.Desired Settlement: I want the parts provided at no charge and one of the Namco installers to come out and do the repairs.

Review: Pool was purchased from [redacted] NAMCO 5/17/14, but recent correspondence has been with corporate office. Total cost of pool, oops warranty and install was $3,514.61. Did not receive bathrobe and Oops protection was not as advertised. Additional costs totaled $1,188 for water, electrical, and installation were incurred. Seam tore over winter and wall warped. Upon noticing, a claim was filed with NAMCO Corporate and 4warranty on 4/9/15. Close up photos of seam separation sent on 4/15/15. The parts were still covered under extended warranty. Requested an estimated delivery date on 04/29, 05/01, 05/11, 05/12, and 05/13. I was told wall was ordered before 4/29 and finally told 4 weeks for processing. I said I would come on 5/20 to pick up parts. I drove 30 minutes and parts were not there. Still no ETA and cannot set up appointment with servicer. Contacted manufacturer direct. The order was not placed until 5/5 and it would be received tomorrow in **. I asked the store to overnight it to my house and they were unwilling to accommodate. They are requiring pickup from the [redacted] store. They stated I could have a refund. When asked to clarify what the refund would be for, they stated only for the (free) part that was ordered for the inferior quality product. I wish I had read the reviews before I did business with this company. They employed deceitful practices, did not meet the warranty agreement, and caused a lot of undue stress and anxiety.Desired Settlement: Refund in the amount of $4,702.61 to cover cost of pool and startup costs of pool wall shipped to my house by 5/27/15 to allow for time to set up appointment and have pool fixed in time to use for summer.

Review: Namco pool 2years old,2nd winter need to buy my 3rd liner. Pool walls are also buckled. Namco states they're not responsible for winter damage.

Purchased a pool from Namco's [redacted] location back on March 17th 2013, location has closed down. Pool was installed by [redacted] on April 4th 2013. Winter of 2013/2014 pool liner seam was ripped in 4 places and wall was buckled. Namco was contacted pictures were sent and I processed a claim with Namco's online warranty department. I received a letter in the mail weeks later stating weather related damage is not a warranty issue and they are not liable however I will be given a discount off a new liner at there [redacted] store. I purchased a new liner on June 7 2014. Liner was reinstalled. Winter 2014/2015 same problems again only this time I have more walls that are buckled.Desired Settlement: I would like my pool in good working shape or be fully refunded. I have owned a pool for over 30years and never had problems with walls and liners holding up during the winter. I feel that Namco should be held responsible and they should stand behind there installers if they recommend them.

Review: May2013 I purchased a pool at the NAMCO store in Westbrook,ME. June2013 it was delivered & installed by a company NAMCO recommended. Installer advised me it had parts missing & some parts were damaged. I called NAMCO to get replacement parts & was advised they had none in stock. Installer advised he had extra parts but would have to charge me extra. I agreed & paid an extra $100 for the parts. Sept2013 we purchased the winter chemicals & drained some of the water as instructed by NAMCO. Oct2013 I noticed a lot of water missing from the pool. I called NAMCO & spoke to an employee at the store who laughed & said I must have drained too much water. So not to damage the pool I put more water in. Nov2013 when the ground started to freeze I noticed ice around the pool. Jan2013 the pool walls started to cave in so we loosened the cover. Mar2013 we walked out to the pool and there was no water in the pool at all. The walls of the pool were pushed off the rim. I contacted NAMCO in Westbrook ME 3 times to speak to the manager with no call back. I wrote 2 letters to NAMCO LLC in CT with no response. I went to the Westbrook Store and spoke to the manager direct & he asked that I send him an email w/photos. I did however still no response. Todays date I called and spoke to the manager & he advised that NAMCO LLC in CT will only be offering me 10% off on the price of replacement components, because it was weather related and the damage liner is what happens during a thaw. Well, in Maine we had no snow in September and it was not cold enough to freeze, therefore it is not weather related. I had asked for a fair refund, this is not a fair refund. Because I've been getting the run around since September the pool has collapsed and now I have to hire a company to remove and dispose of the pool which is going to cost more money. I will not be purchasing another pool from NAMCO because I feel their product was & is a safety hazard, which I will also be contacting Attorney General Office in MEDesired Settlement: At the time I wanted a fair refund, however NAMCO does not what to work with me and now that the pool has collapsed and is not able to be saved because of all the run around I got from NAMCO both from the store in Westbrook ME and NAMCO Corporate Office in CT. I want $1280.00 for the [redacted]l, $219.99 for the 18 Round liner, $45.00 for Skimmer and $380.00 for removal and disposal fee for a total of $1924.99. No I do not want a discount for another pool.

We are in receipt of the complaint filed by the above referenced customer. While we understand the frustration Ms. [redacted] is experiencing; under a typical manufacture warranty, weather related damage does not quality for coverage. Please understand that the manufacturer holds the warranty and NAMCO does not have the authority to alter its terms. As the warranty has no allowance associated with it for refunds; we must respectfully decline Ms. [redacted]'s request. For the sake of customer relations, we can authorize for Ms. [redacted] to receive 30% off replacement components needed to repair her pool. She can visit the Westbrook store location to take advantage of this offer. Regards, NAMCO, LLC Customer Service

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: This is not weather related as they claim. The liner in question pulled apart 6 inches at the seam in September, just 3 months after it was installed. There was no snow or cold weather in Maine in September. My frustration is with the company ignoring my complaint (via telephone calls, emails and letters)for months. The liner should have been replaced back in September but because they chose not to work with me by not respond to my request. The whole pool is beyond repair and has collapsed. Now 1 year later they are using the excuse of weather related, not acceptable. I have reviewed my files and the reason I believe they are claiming it to be weather related is possiblly because some of the photos I emailed to the manager at the Westbrook Maine store (at his request) had snow on top of the cover. The manager did advise me that he did email those photos to Namco Corporate, even though Namco Corporate sent me and email claiming they never receive the manager's complaint from me. The photos that were sent to Namco Corporate back in October 2013 did not have any snow on the cover because Maine had no snow. Just ice around the outside of the pool cause from the water that was in the pool. I do not want nor do I want to purchase another pool/liner/accessories from Namco. I have hired a company to remove and dispose of the pool on June 2, 2014. Because this pool is still costing me money and if Namco does not want me to make a claim for the removal and disposal of the pool, they can come get it.

Sincerely,

Review: I bought a pool from Namco the beginning of may. I was told it would be delivered in 7 to 10 days. It never showed. I've sent 14 messages and made 11 phone calls. I've been told its "lost" on top of that now the installation guy has no idea if he can do it before August. They have completely ruined my summer. They have never called me back. When I call the store in told its "some where in transition" ie lost. Latham ny namcoDesired Settlement: At this point I just want my pool and I feel they should have it installed. I cannot go through another company as I have already paid for this pool. And no one can even install one until fall. They need to make this right.

Review: We had an 27' above ground pool installed by Namco. The purchase location is actually out of [redacted] but all correspondence comes from the [redacted] location. The pool liner leaked soon after install as I noticed the ground around the pool was always saturated in one location. I am new to the pool owning experience and was not sure that this was the case. During the winter the water completely drained from the pool as the seam at the affected location above had given way completely. I assumed that this really wouldn't be a problem and that the company would offer a deprecated value credit to our account for the faulty liner as it has only been up for 8 months. The company informed us it was due to freezing and thawing or weather related conditions. In all honesty the house I've grown up with had an above ground pool for 15 years in the northeast environment and never encountered this issue. The only cause is a faulty liner. I am looking for reimbursement of the liner cost so I can have a different company with quality products and service install a new liner. It must be noted that the entire project was laughable at best, from the sales down to the unprofessional install down to the incorrect filtering system that was supplied after not being available for pickup on set dates. Namco is a disorganized embarrassment of a business.Desired Settlement: 300 to 600 dollars credit on our account as this is the amount that we still owe to pay off the entire install of of over 4,000 dollars. This would allow us a little breathing room to invest in a second liner with install and to yet again still pay another 800 for water delivery for the 20,000+ gallon pool.

Review: On 9/8/12 my wife and I purchased a [redacted] pool from Namco at their [redacted] location. The promotion they had at the time was zero financing for 24 mos over $2,000 plus 50% off a complete pool package in 2013 and because of the promotion we bought the pool. We added accessories at purchase to total $2158.13 for 0% for 24 mos. [redacted] are sales rep took our name and phone number to call us when the 50% Pool Package came in and said it should be in Feb. 2013. I did not receive a call in Feb so I called the store near the end of the month of Feb. I was told the package has not come in and they would call me back. Two weeks went by and I didn't hear anything, so I called again. [redacted] advised that the package was still not available and to contact him next week and it should be in. [redacted] advised that the coupon for 50% off Pool package was still good and I have nothing to worry about. After several more calls with negative results they finally received the product on 4/18/13. [redacted] advised that they had the product but the 50% coupon could not be used. He advised that I would need to get approval from Namco Headquarters in Connecticut for them to honor the coupon. [redacted] provided Namco Headquarters phone # XXX-XXX-XXXX. I contacted Namco Headquarters on 4/19/13 at 0945hrs and spoke with [redacted] informed that the southern Namco's were in liquidation and they could not honor the coupon at those locations. She informed that Connecticut or Massachusetts were the closest locations that would honor the coupon. I offered to travel to one of the locations to utilize my coupon, but want a further discount to make up for my travel time and fuel used. She refused the request. I informed her that they would need to pick up their pool then because they are not honoring their deal. [redacted] denied that request as well. I was informed that a supervisor was not available but one would call me. After several calls to the location throughout the day I spoke with supervisor Nicole who also denied my request.

I offered to go to Connecticut to pick up the product if they honored their coupon plus a little more money off the package beings I would be losing time and using fuel to pick up the items. If not I would want a full refund on the pool and everything else purchased that day. The pool was delivered in Nov in boxes and is still in those boxes. The intent was to install the pool in the spring and that is scheduled, but I cant get the rest of the product I need to properly install the pool.

Review: I purchase a pool on 8/29/2008 and had it install 5/22/2009. The pool wall developed a hole causing the liner to also have a hole. I went to the store to complain and was told to cut a one foot square section out of the pool wall and they would prorate it. The salesman say that I would only get about a hundred dollars. I paid 3300.00.

I purchased this pool with a warranty against rust because it replaced a pool that rusted after nine years. To have this happen after 4 years is ridiculous. The company is not selling pools any more but should honor the warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like the store to repair or replace the wall and liner or refund an amount so I can get it repaired.

Review: I purchased a new pool last year to replace a pool I had for over 10 years. The new pool has plastic components and the old pool had metal ones. I uncovered the pool and each 3-piece cap on the 20 vertical supports was broken. I took the pieces to the Namco store and the salesperson inspected the pieces and gave me an email address to the claims department and instructed me to send my information and 3 photos of the damage to Namco's Main Office. In the next 2 months, I have had to resend the information to Namco on 2 separate occasions because they can not find a file/claim for me. I talked to the Manager of the store and she said to keep trying with the Main Office. The last time I spoke with the Main Office, the representative said they have not heard from the Manager of [redacted] concerning this claim and asked me to resend all the information because they didn't have any and this would expedite the claim. I have not heard from them. I have tried to call the manufacturer of the pool directly but there was no answer at [redacted] in [redacted]. I am able to use the pool but the broken pieces are sharp and could cut a swimmer. This is not just an aesthetic issue, but a safety one as well.Desired Settlement: I want Namco to send me replacement pieces for the parts that broke. This is part G in the General Instruction manual for: [redacted] Round 30 Foot

Review: I wnet into the store ordered and paid for a 15x20 [redacted] pool liner, was suppose to be called in a week to pick up, no call. I called 5/26/15 and [redacted] stated item was in on 5/22/15 but they were too busy to call me. Come to find out they ordered a 15x25 pool liner wrong size, [redacted] was going to reasrch and call me back, never called. I called the next day, she is too busy to talk, will return my call, no call. I again called 5/27-5/28/15 no answer ([redacted] option #9) I called corporated no one answer thier phone either on hold for over 1 hour([redacted])Desired Settlement: they need to give me a refund also for my scheduled installers

Review: My husband and I purchased a pool from Namco in [redacted] after doing what we felt was good research and decided on this company as new pool owners. Upon purchase we were given names of installers who have been installing their pools for years with one being highly rated [redacted]. installer and owner [redacted] seemed very informed so we hired him to install the pool. Installation and pool use was late in July 2012 with no problems as we were aware. In opening pool this year 2013 we noticed we were losing water and when first contacted Namco we were told it was evaporation but after research and having hired other companies to investigate it was not evaporation but a leak and upon the investigation both companies stated first problem was there were more than 50 to 70 pin holes or larger around the wrinkles and too much to patch. When contacting the contractor he stated there should not be any wrinkles in the floor and he would come to look, but after numerous calls he never came out and we hired a new contractor to replace the liner since it is getting time to close the pool and were informed we could not close with a leak. During this time we contacted the corporate office in CT and my husband spoke with a woman who stated she would give us a credit for the liner and then when I called back on 9/12/13 I spoke with [redacted] who stated we are past the warranty of a year and there was nothing they can do and wrinkles on the floor were normal, when asked to speak with her manager she said her manager [redacted] will tell me the same thing and would not put her on the phone. wi [redacted] at the local store stated that should not be the case and so I am now at the point of having to pay an additional $2000.00 to have a new liner installed and the company is refusing to help or rectify this in any way. we were trying to be reasonable by just asking that maybe they could give us a store credit or some sort to defray the cost of new installation and new liner purchase we had to make in less than a years use.

Product_Or_Service: POOLDesired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Replacement

Since we could not get both Namco and contractor to help us in reasonable time and now had to find help outside of the company since we need to close pool as it is getting later in the season we are looking for at least a credit in the cost of replacement of the liner.

Review: On or about May 4, 2013 I purchased a [redacted] Pool from Namco [redacted], CT for approximately $6,000.00 which included an extra $299.99 three year warranty. Said [redacted] Pool was recently installed by [redacted] on August 19, 2013 for approximately another $1,349.00 which represented installation and an added excavation charge. Needless to say, that once I arrived home I immediately noticed that my new [redacted] pool was leaking water that I had also purchased. My wife immediately called [redacted] who quickly stated that "what do you want me to do, call Namco!" As a result, we called Namco the next day and they stated that they would put in the work order and that [redacted] would come out again. Nevertheless, neither Namco nor [redacted] have come out and I have a leaky $7,500.00 [redacted] Pool that no one has been able to enjoy in my back yard. My wife and I have left numerous messages with Namco, their employees; as well as [redacted] and [redacted] up at corporate, to no avail. They continue to give us the run around even with the 3 year warranty.

We are in receipt of the complaint filed by the above referenced customer.

As of August 31, 2013 our contractor [redacted] came out to Mr. [redacted]'s home and repaired his [redacted] pool. We would like to add solely for our own records that our installer was not able to find any defect in the liner and that the pool had never been completely filled as evidenced by the lack of water in the filter. Any water that was on the side of the pool was only rain run off from the hill.

Therefore this matter can be considered closed.

Review: Namco sold and delivered a pool to me. Wrong parts and promise of a filter ladder and seasons chemicals. Twenty seven phone calls to corporate and five visits to the Orange Store. Never an answer or a return phone call. The only answer the store gave me is they've sold out of filters and they will have more next year. Asked what am I supposed to do this year? They replied wait for corporate to call you. Fourth visit to the store I was told corporate is very busy your not our only customer.

With the parts promised and FAST. would like to have a pool up and running for Granddaughters Birthday Party as promised to her three weeks away. This store also promised this pool installed for a price of 1500.00 when we spoke to the installer in the spring he told us the price was 1800.00 for erecting the pool with an additional charge of 2000.00 for prep for the pool. ( our yard 3" out of level ) this whole experience with this company is highly disappointing.

Review: Since I've exhausted myself writing to various agencies in regards to Namco pool complete and utter disregard of pool quality and customer service here's my advice to anyone even giving a nano thought to purchasing anything from Namco-take an equivalent amount of money out of your bank and just burn it. The result will be the same. You'll be left with absolutely nothing but an intense feeling of loss and anger. Conversely fill your bathtub with the cash, enter the tub and revel in the thought that this is what you have just saved from not purchasing anything from the crooks at Namco.OK here's the readers digest version-purchased the pool during liquidation. First set up falling liner, collapsing walls the very next day, extremely uneven pool bottom, generally shoddy work. 2nd install 2 weeks later. Once again, collapsing walls next day, leaking liner-1st liner replaced with different liner of lesser gauge and multiple seams in bottom (bait and switch), improperly installed supports, pool not true round.Contact Namco, send pics, all required documents wait, wait. Finally get through to customer disservice. Due to liquidation purchase, which has nothing to do with [redacted] poor quality, Namco not responsible, must deal with manufacturer.Passing the buck, a time honored American way of getting away with it!!!

I want Namco to accept responsibility for the shoddy components, poor installation, loss of use due to faulty components which I understand they dont manufacture but do sell. I want them not to pass the buck and accept this piece of crap as a return and refund my money!!!They have a long history of this kind of blatant denial and someone needs to hold them accountable, liquidation or not!!

Response:

We received all the customer's photos and supporting documents. In order to rectify the situation the installer would have to make small adjustments.

Please note that we were not contracted for the installation of this pool and cannot be held responsible. As discussed with the customer earlier, our installation manager offered to call his installer in order to walk him through the adjustments. We have received no response from the installer or customer regarding this offer since August 9, 2013.

Also note that the customer has filed a dispute with the credit card company in an effort to stop payment on our product.

Review: I returned items to the store and was not given the right amount of credit.

On 6/28/12 I returned 19 items to the store with a receipt. I was given a refund in the amount of $166.13. On the original receipt for this purchase, the return prices are listed. When I was given the refund, 18 out of 19 items were not credited for the stated amount on my original receipt. For example, the first item I returned was In Line [redacted] - the purchase price was $44.99, the return value was $35.99 because of discounts that were applied. I was only credited $26.47. And this pattern repeats with seventeen other items. The total due is $44.27. I discussed this three times with [redacted] who issues the Namco credit card. They will not issue the credit.Desired Settlement: Refund to my Namco credit card in the amount of $44.27.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

THE REFUND IS DUE AND OWING. Namco did not review the initial sales receipt which clearly shows the return prices of the items. Namco needs to review the initial sales receipt dated 6/2/13 which clearly shows the "RETURN PRICE" of all the items I purchased. When I returned the items to the store, the correct amount was not credited. NAMCO/[redacted] - REVIEW THE INITIAL SALES RECEIPT DATED 6/2/13 WHICH I PROVIDED TO YOU ON 7/16/13. Here is a listing item by item comparing the initial sales receipt to the refund receipt: [redacted] - purchase price $44.99 - return price $35.99 - credit given $26.47; [redacted] - purchase price $60.00 - return price $48.00 - credit given $35.31; [redacted] x 15 - purchase price 15 @ $5.99 - Return price 15 @ $4.79 - credit given 15 @ $3.53; [redacted] - purchase price $7.49 - return price $5.99 - credit given $4.41. If you add all these up - the balance owed to me is $44.27 - regardless of what I purchased that day which doesn't have anything to do with a credit being issued in the appropriate amount. REVIEW THE INITIAL SALES RECEIPT AND COMPARE IT TO THE REFUND RECEIPT. THANK YOU.

I will file in Small Claims Court on Friday 9/6/13 unless the credit is issued today. If Namco and/or [redacted] examines the original purchase receipt and compares it with the return receipt, it is inevitably clear that the appropriate credits were not issued.
