Letter of Information - the consumer is not requesting any help from the Revdex.com- just wants the public to know of our"bullying" tacticsThe customer states that they do not want anything form Able Roofing
There is nothing for us or them to do at this point

“Please classify this complaint
as beyond Revdex.com pursueThe enclosed independent 3rd party
inspection report by a certified engineer clearly indicates that this complaint
is not at all consistent with the accusationUpon receiving the complaint we
immediately did the responsible thing and submitted the claim to our insurance
companyThe insurance adjuster instantly recognized this claim as not genuine
and hired an independent engineer to provide an unbiased inspection”

On 3/25/at 11:am a call
was placed to the MrRoof office for a service call from this customerBy 12:pm, even before
MrRoof was able to return the homeowners phone call, a complaint was made with the
B.B.B
Within hours of receiving the
call, a service
representative was onsite to assist the homeownerUpon
learning of the Revdex.com complaint, a day later ,a call was placed to Mr***; he
informed us he was happy with everything
It should be noted that the damage
to the metal work was caused from the expansion and contraction of the large
ice dam at gutters edgeAs a courtesy to our customers, MrRoof will normally
cover damages due from the ice dam even though this damage is not covered by
the warranty and is a lack of maintenance on the homeowner’s side
So bottom line: MrRoof had a
service manager on site within hours, repaired damage to the roof that was
not our fault nor covered by any warranty;
All of this prior to knowing anything about a B.B.Bcomplaint

Dear Mrs***,We received your letter on Monday February 23rd which communicated many concerns youhad as well as gave us notification that we had days to respond before you would contactthe Revdex.comWe received a Revdex.com complaint Thursday morning February 26th before we couldrespond to your concernsWe
will be providing the same information to the Revdex.com as we areproviding to you with this letter. We are so sorry to hear of your frustration with the installation with your roofing system. Please review the following responses to your letter dated February 9th, titled, "defectsimmediately 4/and continuing problems", in hopes that this will provide some clarity toyour situationIn addition, this letter will provide pictures taken and discussed with youthree weeks ago when A MrRoof Manager (*** ***) and two Representatives were atyour home inspecting the roof and your concernsPlease review the photos which detail yourissues and help answer your concerns. On April 25th, we did in fact install your new roofSubsequently, it was determined thatthe damage to your porch screens were caused by the installation of your roofIn an effortto remedy the damage, on May 24th, we replaced the damaged screens. After the replacement of your screens, your letter stated, "another visit for nailing down afew loose shingles on the back part of the house"Our records indicate that no such visit wasmade to your house to nail down shinglesYour letter stated that on "June 30th withstill another (copy of invoice) trip I almost backed up my car out of the garage over a nail".After you informed us of the nail, we quickly inspected your property again and diligentlyremoved all visible nailsWe apologize for any inconvenience these nails might have caused. The invoice to which you had referred to was not an invoice but rather a warranty inspectionindicating that nails washed out of the gutters and we removed themOf course, no chargefor this service was issued.Regarding the "horrific problem with water damage months ago on my living room ceiling",you stated that MrRoof's salesman, *** ***, indicated that the damage was caused byyour upstairs window sealant and not the roofPlease refer to the attached pictures showingan excessive amount of sealant applied to the J-channel that has hundreds of cuts in itaround the windowAt some point in the past a leak around the J-channel was discoveredand someone attempted to stop this leak with sealantThis repair was inadequate toaddress and solve your leaking windowDue to this inadequate repair, as outlined by theattached pictures, we feel confident that the roof is not the cause of the leak.In your letter, you stated that further damage was, "tied to a storm on October 6th, soinsurance carrier paid the claim check"Upon your request, we inspected your property againapproximately weeks ago and spoke with you extensively regarding your interior damageWedetermined, and you verbally agreed, that the water damage around the window was not thecause of the roof but rather the window itselfWe inspected the roof and the interior ceilingcarefully and found no water coming in from the roofWe also confirmed with you that yourinsurance company had paid you to paint your interior ceilings from prior stains present before wereplaced your roof and that a contractor had not been hired yet to complete that workAt the timeof our inspection in January, we noted and agreed that the ceilings finishes that day were in thesame condition as before MrRoof replaced your roof. Finally, in your letter you stated, "My neighbor who is a healthy male had no problems with his newroof installed by MrRoof why me?"We politely disagree with your assessment and can assureyou that we have the utmost respect for all our clients both male and femaleMrRoof does notdiscriminate and treats all clients with the highest regard.Your letter also mentioned numerous contractors claiming that the leaks are the result of our roof.We talked about that during our meeting in January and we asked to speak to one of thoserepresentativesWe would be more than willing to conduct another full inspection of your roofingsystem with one of those roofing representatives and a city code official in hopes that we canfurther clarify any misunderstanding, provide assurance and piece-of-mindWith your permission,we would like to schedule a time so that our General Manager can coordinate this inspection andspeak with you personally. You can communicate with us by emailing the General Manager (*** ***) at ***or send us a letter giving us your approval or work through the Revdex.com.Respectfully,*** *** *** ***###-###-####

Our general manager met with Mr*** to
personally inspect the gutter issues and found the problem stemmed from the
original builder of the home who had stapled the fascia boards in place rather
than nail them in properlyEven though the problem was of no fault by MrRoof
we sent a crew
out to remove and properly install all the fascia boards and
reinstall the gutters at no charge to himWe went above and beyond to make
sure that he is a very happy and satisfied customerWe thank him again for his
business and hope that he will refer us to others and consider using us again
for future projects if the need arises

We are not sure where the confusion may be with the customer, but we
have tried to explain this several times to himWe believe he either doesn’t
understand or doesn’t want to pay his deductible which is why there is an open
balance on his account
When we invoiced the customer on 10-31-12, we had to
remove a charge of $which was coded as Yard Sign Credit and should have
been coded as waiting on insurance supplement. The customer accepted that a supplement of $would
be paid to MrRoof if accepted but at that time the insurance company had not
decided whether they were paying for a damaged awning or not and since that
work hadn’t been done we credited that amount. The insurance company then approved the supplement and
the awning was replaced which was then invoiced separately for $1388.52.The customer got their last payment from the insurance
company and sent us a check for $on 12-13-That check paid off
$on invoice *** and paid $of the balance on invoice *** (the supplement) leaving a balance of $
We have re- checked
the insurance claim and the $balance was the deductible and the
customer’s insurance company noted they paid the claim less that amount

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me

Attached are the contracts I signedThe salesman stated that the only reason I had to sign the second one is that they wanted to make sure I got the full warranty of a life time not just years said a lifetime was a lifetimeI felt I was getting persuade to do something I shouldn't and *** then said no its for your best interest That they were not trying to take anything away that they were making it better for myself that I could keep both copies that it wasn't getting voided outSo that's what I did kept both copiesSo I did agree for the $only to not have to get tied up any longer with this even thought with all the issues it was worth way moreSo with all that being said I am not excepting the $and cutting back to only getting years parts and labor warrantyIt states lifetime on my contract and I am not letting this over ride the warranty it I say this is settledI got screwed by settling for the $and will not get screwed into getting myself less of a warranty that they did not go above and beyond the unreasonable $and as of now they haven't stood behind anythingI would never refer them to anyoneBottom line I am not saying this is settled when I have a contract that stats life time and you think I will say ok to years

We are appreciative of Mr
*** for allowing us back into his home & allowing us to do our part to
remedy this situationAgain we feel this has boiled down to some level of
miscommunication & apologize for our level of responsibility on that part
We have investigated & performed all necessary repairs to Mr***’s home
& he has agreed that all claimed issued have been resolved (see copies of
documentation herewith)We thank Mr*** for his business & hope that
he will keep us in consideration for future projects
Respectfully, MrRoof General
Manager Louisville office

We request the Revdex.com remove this
complaint from our files as this person is not our customer and has not signed
any contract with us

I am rejecting this response because: I have two witnesses to witness the damage to the roof One of the witnesses is a neighbor who saw the contractor on the roof when he damaged it and is completing an affidavit to that effect The second witness is a contractor who saw the roof before the repairman got on the roof and afterwards, who will complete an affidavit and provide eye witness report as well.Secondly, the roofing tech disclosed to me that he had fell on the roof upon my arrival The area in which he said he fell, was exactly where the damages occurred The roofing company said the area was square feet originally, and now in this dispute, they are stating it was a much smaller area. This company is completely liable for the damages this technician caused to my roof and I expect them to take care of it, or I will proceed with whatever necessary to have them take care of the damages their technician caused

The $balance due to MrRoof
is the customer’s deductible portion that his insurance company did not pay
and, as stated in his insurance policy, requires the home owner be responsible
for. I have attached a copy of the
contract and invoicesThe third page of
invoices reflects the
outstanding balance as of July 11, 2013, showing the $balance due to Mr
RoofWe have been trying to collect this debt since then and just mailed him a
final demand invoice at the beginning of September 2014, stating we were
turning his outstanding balance over to collections which will also include an
additional $charge in late fees bringing the new total now due to $It
is at this point in time that he contacted the Revdex.comThe customer is responsible
for the deductible balance as shown

Able did respond to me
with an e-mail confirming that we do not have a contract and no
further action would be taken against us
I wanted things from this complaint:
-For Able to acknowledge that we do not have a contract
-For Revdex.com to be aware of the tactics that this supposed highly rated company is
actually doing
Both have been achieved, so I consider this complaint closed
Please leave my complaint on your web site and phone referrals; so that others will know
their tactics
Sincerely,
*** ***
PS I did not ask for anything; but I had expected Able to at least apologizeI think that
should be part of good customer service
