Very easier to work with and made the process easy.

National Check Resolution Response • Apr 29, 2020

It was a pleasure being able to assist with closing out the debt that was placed in our office at such an amazing rate. Glad we could help and that the process was easy. Thank you for the kind review.

No response to debt validation letters, rude and abusive tactics, and reporting of incorrect information.
I have reached out to them multiple times in regards to a debt they are trying to collect on.Documents sent only show original information from Purchasing Power. Items were never received and per Purchasing Power account was closed and updated years ago. NCR has since ignored all calls and request for proof of delivery of items even after documentation sent from original creditor. Still reporting incorrect and false information to Credit Bureaus as the items were never received by me. Finally received a missed call in which a voicemail was left unable to understand the name left but they did state the "number" they had been calling to "speak with me" which was not my number also advised that they would be suing me and other threatening talk. Have since sent multiple letters via certified mail which have exceeded the 30 day timeframe. Only documents received were documents of items and contract but no proof of delivery!

Desired Outcome

Please supply the requested information : The date of delivery along with signature belonging to me. If you cannot provide please update and close account on all 3 credit bureaus as items were never received.

National Check Resolution Response • Dec 06, 2019

The delinquent account for *** was sold to my company by Purchasing Power back on 12/04/17. Since that time my company has not been able to speak directly to Ms.. Letters have been sent to the address on file in Dallas Texas. The most recent mailing in regard to her disputing the account on her credit report was returned for no forwarding address. The only written correspondence we have received from Ms. was the dispute she made with the credit bureau. Again, our office has never spoken directly to Ms.. This is a valid debt, as payments were made to Purchasing Power up until May 2017. Purchasing Power set up the payments to be taken from her payroll checks with her employer at the time Davita Inc. We will contact Purchasing Power to see if they can provide any confirmation of the deliver of the products. We would be happy to discuss this account if Ms. would like to contact us directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX and speak to Amber.

Falsification of Relationship to Previous Creditor
An NCR representative left me a threatening voice mail message saying that they have contacted one of my family members, identifying a past address of my mother, and are recommending that a lawsuit be filed against me. The representative lied, stating my original creditor, Kabbage, is their client, and that after doing an asset investigation on me, they are recommending that Kabbage file a lawsuit against me to enforce a lien on my personal assets.

I called Kabbage and found out that they have no intention of filing a lawsuit against me or enforcing a lien, and that they are not NCR's client. Kabbage told me that they have sold my debt to NCR.

My complaint is that threatening and illegal tactics are being used to collect the debt. They also never responded to provide an address where my attorney can send correspondence regarding the debt.

Desired Outcome

The resolution I am seeking is to obtain a correspondence mailing address from this company so that I can send correspondence (not payments) regarding this debt. I would also like to obtain the address where my attorney can send correspondence.

National Check Resolution Response • Nov 21, 2019

Ms. has an account in our office that was placed with us by our client Kabbage. This debt is a commercial debt and not a consumer debt. The only phone number we have on file is the number for Ms. and her name is on the voice mail. No mention of a lawsuit was made, but their is a current Lien in place by Kabbage for the unpaid commercial debt. I'm not sure whom Ms. spoke to at Kabbage about us, but Kabbage does not sell their debt. We are collection agency for Kabbage and do represent them. I have closed the account due to the complaint and will send it back to Kabbage. Ms. will not be contacted by our office again.

Abusive Tactics, Calling Third-Party individuals discussing the debt.
Account Number - XXXXXX
Original Creditor - Kabbage, Inc.

National Check Resolution uses repeatedly aggressive and abusive tactics to obtain information and collect debt. On July 23, 2019 - one of their representatives (named Giorgio) called the debtor's family member (grandmother) and threatened legal action against the debtor. This was all a tactic to get the debtor to return their call. The issue was the information originally provided to us was not clear and the original owner of the debt (Kabbage, Inc.) had no record of the debt because they had sold the debt to NCR. However, through our internal research, once the records were found, we contacted the company in an attempt to rectify the debt.

The issue that we have with NCR is they are calling employees' family members (*Note - the individual called was not a co-signer or guarantor of the original loan, and was not listed as a P.O.C. on any of the debtors information) and informing them that said family member would be arrested or lawsuit filed against them if they did not take care of the debt.

We know this company just settled a lawsuit with the state for these tactics, and that continued fines would be brought against this firm if they continued to incorporate deceptive and abusive debt collections tactics.

Desired Outcome

We would like no further contact from this company.

National Check Resolution Response • Jul 31, 2019

Mr. has an account in our office for a commercial loan for his company RSAT Security Consulting. I listed to the call my representative had with Mr. grandmother and no third party disclosure violation was made. We simply informed his grandmother that we were trying to reach Mr. and when she asked the reason why she was informed that information could not be disclosed to her. I spoke to Mr. and Mr. Revell today and explained this information to them. This account is being settled in our office and we will continue to communicate with Mr. Revell per Mr. request.

Can not get any information on a debt they say I owe.
I originally bought a $600 computer from a company by the name of *** Power @ X-XXX-XXX-XXXX, back in 2012 or 2013. (not really sure of the exact year). I contacted them because I got a call from a debt collection agency *** & Associates @ *** Rd Ste 1002,***,OH XXXXX-XXXX, saying that I owe a past due balance of $780. I know I didn't owe this amount. I thought that I had paid off the computer. So I contacted Purchasing Power to find out if I owed anything. They told me that I had a balance dot $44.61 which was charged off and sent over to National Check Resolutions and gave me the number of X-XXX-XXX-XXXX to call to find out how I can resolve the issue. I have no problem paying $44.61, if they say I owe that amount because Lord knows I don't having any receipts since I thought I paid it off and everything was in order. The problem is
that *** & Associates says I have to pay the $780 or a settlement of $390 by July 31, 2019, or they will take me to court. Well, I've tried contacting National Check Resolutions 18 times yesterday afternoon, and 3 times today and you can either leave a message for someone to call you back or you can press zero to speak with a representative. Every time I pressed zero, the line disconnected. I have left numerous messages for them to call me back, and I still have not heard back from anyone. I can not believe that if my balance dis only $44.61, why is Pressler, Ward & Associates requesting that I pay $780 or $390. They said it is because of fees. There should not be any fees if I had no idea I even owed $44.61. Pressler, Ward & Associates said they sent letters to me but I didn't respond. They told me the last payment was made in 2016 and nothing since. When I asked them where did they send the letters to, I found out is was at an old address. I moved from that address in 2015, so that is why I never got the letters. Also, they could not tell me why they couldn't have just called or emailed me. They said they do not have an email address for me which is not true because Purchasing power had all my information, and if they got the debt from Purchasing Power, then they should have had all my information. Anyway, with so many scams out in the world today, I need to make sure that they are not trying to force me to pay more than what I owe ($44.61), and how can I get this debt paid if I in fact owe it. I can pay the $44.61, but not $390 or $780 since I am on a fixed income.

Desired Outcome

I want to find out how I can pay my $44.61 if I actually owe it, and remove any fees because of their failure to call or email me before yesterday. I truly believe that i do not owe $780 or $390, and can not pay wither amount to settle this.

Ms. account was purchased by National Check Resolution Inc. In June of 2018 this account was outsourced to a different agency. We have contacted the outsourced agency and requested that the account be closed due to collection tacti's. If Ms. would like to contact our office directly I would be happy to help her. She may call my on my direct line XXX-XXX-XXXX. I'm not sure why she has not been able to reach anyone on our main number XXX-XXX-XXXX, but I would be happy to assist her.

I would also like a copy of their response on their official company letterhead

1/15 4:26 pm EST Spencer R left vm stating I did not reply to mail they sent. Case No *** came to him for decision which is set for Thurs. Gave phone # 888-535-6843 to call back. Actual phone number who called was 833-298-0918. I called 888 # amd it was someone elses voicemail not Spencer R. Another msg was left again today saying O have an option to legally settle this. I am asking for documentation of what NCR is trying to collect. Pls have them provide this through you.

Desired Outcome

Explanation of Charges Find out who yhey are collecting for. Of valid see if Revdex.com can mediate payment arrangement.

National Check Resolution Response • Jan 18, 2019

I reviewed Mr. account and see that he spoke to a representative on 1/17/19 and set up payment arrangements for his debt. Is there still a question about the debt? I would be happy to call and discuss if Mr. still has questions.

Customer Response • Jan 18, 2019

Was able to speak with someone at CCR. Repas yment arrangements were made.

This company is trying to collect a debt from a loan company and is aggressively trying to collect more money that is actually due. The company has stated information will be given to the courts and reported on my credit if not taken paid off. I have bank statements proving I paid majority of the loan off. There is only one payment due of $296.09. Theoan company never contacted me regarding a returned payment. However, my records show all payments were made, with interest. If I owe any money, its $296.06 not $4000 they are asking for. I have all emails from NCR company stating false amounts of payments. I also have copies of my bank statements if need.
The total amount I have paid is $3756.63
The loan amount was $2300 which totaled to $4025 after interest was applied.
Product_Or_Service: American web loan
Account_Number: XXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Qith the proof I have, I want this loan to be paid and full. I am willing to pay $300 to settle and close this complaint. I will fax any and all info needed to prove my claim.

National Check Resolution Response • Jan 10, 2019

NCR owns the account for Ms. and it was outsourced for collections. NCR does not add any fees or interest to any accounts. All interest and fees are added by the original lender. Our records show that the loan was taken out on 12/5/2017 for $4,168.54 and not for $2,300. Ms. might have more than one loan with American Web Loan, as the one owned by NCR was not for $2,300. When customers go delinquent with these type of loans the lender will apply the paid amount to interest to leave the principal as unpaid. This leaves the customer with a much higher unpaid balance then they expected to have. The information that was sent to Ms. is unfortunately the amount due, but a settlement was offered to her for $1,000. We would be happy to help her, but will not be able to close the account out for $300. At this time her account is being marked do not contact due to this complaint. She may contact my office at 877-348-3599 to discuss further.

Customer Response • Jan 11, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have bank statements proving the amount that was borrowed and how mu ch money was taken out of my account, and the actual days each payment automatically came out. I provided bank statements to this company with proof of what was paid and they refused to accept the fact that I paid majority of the loan with only 1 payment returned. The $1000 was never a settlement after they received the facts. It was a notion that U dodnt owe more than that and they are trying to collect a settlement without written notice or signature.
I will can and will fax all documentation to this case. Please provide me with fax number and documentation will be sent today

National Check Resolution Response • Jan 11, 2019

I was not the person that reviewed the bank documents that were sent to my company. I did review your bank documents today and found the transaction showing the loan was for $2,300 per your statement in this complaint. My system does not show that amount, so I reviewed the actual portfolio that your debt was located in. Upon reviewing the actual portfolio I see that the information we have in our system is not correct. I am very surprised to see that the information for your debt was loaded into our system incorrectly. By no means did we intentionally mean to load your debt with a higher original loan about. The original loan was for $2,300 and the total unpaid debt was sold as $3,259.10. Of this amount $1,122.18 was interest. On behalf of NCR I am truly sorry for incorrect information of your account in our system. I am getting with my IT department to see what happened and to verify the remaining accounts for errors. Due to this huge error on our part I am going to write your debt off and send you a Paid In Full letter for your records. Again, in no way did NCR intentionally try to collect the improper amount owned on your debt. I am embarrassed about this IT error, but I am grateful to have been made aware of this error to fix any other accounts that were entered into our system incorrectly. Again, I apologize for all of the confusion and frustration. A paid letter will be mailed on Monday and I will email a copy of it today. I hope this is a resolution that Ms. can agree with to close out this complaint.

This company contacted me and also contacted my mother on her home phone number in March 2018 saying they were filing a lawsuit against me and gave me a casefile #. They told me that *** Loans, LLC had transferred my debt to them. I set up a payment plan with them on the phone because they terrified me. I asked them to send me the information from PGL so that I could validate the debt and have proof that I paid off the debt - but they never sent me any documentation except for when the debt was paid off. I paid them payments that equaled $1279.80 to pay off this "debt." I was contacted today by *** Loans about my debt. I forwarded them the letter that NCR sent me, and *** Loans told me that they do not use this company for debt collection and I still owed this debt to them. They said they use *** Debt Collection and definitely not NCR.

It shows on my bank statement as NCR - Service Providers. I paid them monthly.

*** loans told me they had no affiliation and I would need to contact the company. I emailed them and called them and have gotten zero response from them.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a refund in the form of a check mailed to me by 12/21/2018 in the sum of 1279.80+38.40+350 = 1668.20. This company has used illegal collection techniques and not to mention, has stolen money from me using fear and having a lot of personal information to make them appear as a credible collection agency. If this is not resolved, I will go public with this information and I will file civil charges and criminal charges in the state of Georgia for fraud and theft over $1000.

National Check Resolution Response • Dec 11, 2018

Ms. *** LLC debt from 2016 was placed in my office by our client *** Management (***) to collect on 12/21/18. On 1/9/16 Ms. set up payment arrangements with my office and paperwork was emailed to her in regard to the agreement. The account was paid in full in June of 2018 and my office emailed a paid in full letter to Ms. email address.
Ms. emailed my company NCR Friday (12/7/18) evening after hours. I responded back to the email Monday 12/10/18 in the morning at 8:10 am EST. I explained to Ms. that my company did not own her debt, so *** LLC would not have known who we were when she spoke to them. I explained that our client *** was the current owner of her debt and gave her their phone number to call and speak to them directly. Our client *** would have verified that they did own the debt and they did in fact place the debt in our office to be collected on. *** would also have confirmed that her account was paid in full and that the paid letter we sent to her in June 2018 was 100% valid. It is against company policy to threaten any person in any type of way and if she felt threatened by the collector, then I wish she had asked to speak to management at that time. The collector that she spoke to in January has not been employed with our company for around 10 months or he would have been fired immediately. The total amount paid in was $1,279.80 as she stated and that did pay her account in full. I spoke with *** Monday morning and they tried to contact Ms. on both phone numbers on her account. Messages were left on both numbers, but she has not returned their call as of right now. I corresponded with Ms. in several emails on Monday the 10th trying to explain how to track what company has her debt and gave our clients number to her several times. In no way did my company scam Ms. of her money, as the debt was valid and legally placed in our office for collections. Her money was applied to her unpaid *** LLC account and a paid in full letter was sent to her for her records. If someone is contacting Ms. about this same debt that my client *** owns, then that is fraud. *** legally cannot try to collect on this debt, as they sold the debt and no longer have the rights to make any type of collection attempts on it. We are not able to refund $1,668.20 as requested. I suggest she contact our client *** and discuss her account with them, as they own her debt. Our client *** will verify everything I have stated and assure her that she paid the correct company and the paid letter she has is 100% valid to prove the debt is paid in full. My client and I would like resolve this issue, but she will need to speak to them first to verify that NCR was the correct company to pay. I stated this several times in my email correspondence on Monday and hope that she does in fact want to get to the bottom of this and give *** a call to discuss.

Customer Response • Dec 12, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I still have not received any letters or files from this NCR.

I would like to see official documents that they claim they sent. I requested them via email and they did not even respond and completely ignored my request.

They need to stop calling people claiming to be an attorneys office claiming they are filing a lawsuit. They need to be upfront and say they are a debt collector. They also called my family who is not authorized to make any financial decisions for me as I'm a grown adult.

This company violates terms set forth by debt collection regulations and I am going to file a civil suit against them for misrepresentation and threatening illegal activity.

Customer Response • Dec 18, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
So this company can collect thousands of dollars from people and have no paper trail once paid?
That is absurd. They need to get this information that they supposedly sent to me stating all of this information.
If they say they can't access my information, they how can they know the associate who I spoke with and other details?

They are stalling by saying I need to speak to this other company.

I want to see the documents that THIS sham company NCR sent me. It has nothing to do with the other company. This is correspondence from NCR. Which they should have on file.

If they can't produce it, I will be seeking a full refund of all payments made to them as they cannot produce any paperwork associated with my account. I want all paperwork associated with the collection.

I also want to see in their policy where it states threatening language is not to be used with a customer. of Course they don't keep recorded calls - it's proof they are using illegal tactics, calling people's families, and pretending to be attorneys when they call.
I will make this information publicly known so that people don't fall prey to these dirty, threatening tactics.

National Check Resolution Response • Dec 19, 2018

Let me 1st apologize for my poor choice of words. I can access the restricted account, but can not reprint any of the paperwork that was sent since the account is paid in full and electronically sent back to my client. I do have access to emails that were sent and I researched the sent emails to Ms. gmail address. Upon reviewing the old emails from January I found that this account was set up the payment agreement through emails on 1/11/18 and not by a phone conversation. There was absolutely no threatening language used in any of the email correspondence with Ms. nor was there any misleading information in the emails. Ms. did speak to a representative on 1/9/18, but her account was set up through email correspondence. These emails can be forwarded to the email address on file.
I am not stalling by asking Ms. to speak to my client about the fact that we were the correct company to pay her debt to. I am simply asking Ms. to speak to my client that owns her debt to clear up the matter of the correct company to have paid. I am trying my best to resolve this issue, but I need Ms. to return my clients calls to verify the placement of her debt in my office. Any correspondence sent to Ms. does involve my client, as they are the owner of her debt and my company collected this debt on her behalf. She simply needs to call and speak to them. Once she does that, then my client can electronically send her file back for me to access the other documents that were generated on her account.
Secondly, all calls are recorded and kept for 6 months. The payments were set up in January of 2018, so I no longer have access to any of the calls from January 2018. The policies and procedures in all company manuals are confidential and can not be listed in this response that is posted on the internet for proprietary reasons. Threating or misleading customers is covered in the employee manual under the Standards of Conduct section and in the FDCPA section. This information is also covered in the FDCA and UDAAP training for all employees.
Again, I am doing my best to resolve this matter without the unnecessary need for any legal actions. All I am asking is for Ms. to return my clients calls and then we can proceed with the documentation that was requested to be resent. One quick call to *** and this matter can be cleared up for us to move forward.

National Check Resolution apparently has an old pay day loan that I took out with Plain Green Loans and started to call me to collect way more than I actually borrowed. ***, I believe, called my place of employment and not my cell phone saying that I had committed fraud and threw out all these legal terms, but never stating she was a debit collector. She stated they had been trying to send me validation through the mail but I had never received anything - they had an old address so she emailed me the documents "three times" - in which I never received. She then called both of my parents (which I would never provide their numbers in a loan application since I am married) and gave them all the details and did send them validation but with little details - no original signature, receipt or invoice of what was technically owed. I called and told*** not to call any number besides my cell phone number (which she said she did not have - that would be the only number I provided) and she started yelling at me, stating I was giving her attitude and that they were a multi million dollar company and she did not care about my $1700 I owed. She threatened to take legal action and send documents to my place of employment.. nothing made since and she kept calling me "little girl". She then told me I had until 11 a.m. EST today to call her back and make arrangements. None of this seems ethical and she refused to send me a full validation with original loan amount, signature, etc.

Desired Outcome

Explanation of Charges I would like the company to send me full validation or give my account back to Plain Green to work out with them. I will not respond to rude collectors not doing their job correctly.

National Check Resolution Response • Sep 26, 2018

Ms.s debt with PlainGreen was placed in my office by my client. On 9/12/18 Ms. spoke to a representative in my office about her account on her work number. The representative did provide all required disclosures during the call including the Mini Miranda. The 1st Notice was sent to Ms.s personal email address per her request. On 9/20/18 my representative called Ms. on her work number to discuss the letter that was emailed, but Ms. stated the email was not received. The email address was verified and the letter was sent again to the same email address. On 9/21/18 my representative tried to reach Ms. unsuccessfully and reached out to a relative's number that turned out to be her mother's number. On 9/21/18 Ms. called in and at that time informed my representative not to call her at her POE and not to call any other numbers beside her personal cell phone. We then added the cell phone number to the file and removed all other numbers. Both the representative and Ms. were upset and arguing with each other. I apologize that the representative did not transfer the call to a manager instead of continuing to argue with Ms.. Ms. stated that we were a scam and that the 1st Notice we sent to her was not her original contract. Ms. stated she would look over the paperwork we sent to her and would call us back on Monday. On 9/24/18 we spoke to Ms. and she again stated that the paperwork we sent to her was not her contract or a validation of debt and that she was going to call PlainGreen to discuss her account. At no time during any calls did the representative use the words "little girl" nor did the representative state that NCR was taking legal action against her.
Upon receipt of this complaint in the afternoon of 9/24/18 her file was closed in our office and returned to our client per company policy. Ms. may contact our client to discuss her account, as they are the current owners of the account and PlainGreen will verify that information.

To whom it may concern,

On Wednesday July 11, 2018, I received a missed call from an unknown phone number. It was a voicemail left to call them back at *** with account number ***. She did not state where she was calling from but did state her name was ***. She stated there are documents regarding two points filed to my county. When I called back, I was transferred to***. This was regarding a previous payday loan from California Check Cashing company. I recalled the loan total was $120 roughly.*** was not very nice. She told me the amount was $328. She asked me how much I can pay. I told her honestly only $60 on my next paycheck. She said that was not enough and that she will just mark me as refusing to pay and that they will follow the law and get a judgement againsts me. I already have really bad anxiety which I take medicine for. I felt very scared and threatened. I felt like I had no choice but to agree to half the amount $164. I was distraught and very anxious and agreed as I felt I had no other choice or else as*** stated legal actions will be taken against me. I provided my debit information and asked for a written payment agreement to be sent to my email. I also found out by my sister that they also called her asking for me and mentioning a judgement and last chance to be heard in court. She was very concerned when court was mentioned. After the call with***, I had a panic attack at work.
The following day, July 12, I still have not received the email. I called again and the woman was very nice and was told again that I will get an email.
The next day, July 13, I called again. I spoke to Brittany. She was not nice either. I was told again that it will be sent to my email. I asked for their company information. They provided me with the name NCR. She refused to give me more information. She said they were located in St. Louis, Missouri. She seemed hesistant when asking for the company info so I can know who and where my payment will go to. She said they are not allowed to give that information out. I told them I am not happy as they called my sister and told my sister about the court ordeal and that I will file a complaint to the FDCPA as they disclosed that information to my sister. She then accused me of threatening them!
On July 14, I called California Check Cashing Corporate office. The woman provided me with another phone number***. National Check Resolution.
On July 16, I called the 877 number and spoke to***. I explained everything. She was very kind and helped me locate the right information. She called me and left me information about the 855 number. She stated they are NCR as well but a different location which was Missouri. She stated her office was located in Georgia. She reached out to them and the same day the Missouri NCR finally sent me the payment agreement I was waiting for. She stated someone from management from there would contact me. No one contacted me.
On July 17, I called allison again but spoke to Ryan. I also explained my situation to him. He did verify that they can call my references however they are not able to disclose any info about me. He said he can pull my account to their location. As I stressed to them that the Missouri location is not nice and I feel threatened and coerced by them. Later in the day, I spoke to allison again. She said to call the 855 and have them remove my payment method since Ryan will get my account moved to their location. I called and the woman I reached was horrible.
Then I was transferred to*** again.*** was very aggressive and intimidating. This call made my anxiety go extremely high. When I mentioned about my sister being called, they stated they do not make outbound calls and that my sister could have impersonated me to get the info. My sister does not even know my social security nunber so I do not know how she could have impersonated me! Then*** got angry and aggressive and told me that this should be a lesson for me the next time I do not pay my loan back. That I should be prepared for the legal reprocussions that will follow me with removing my payment method. She stated along the lines that I was recorded to agree to pay and now I am refusing to pay. I told her that I never refused to pay. That I am willing to pay what I owe, however, this office has not been the best and to please do not say I refuse when it is not that. I felt extremely overwhelmed and mentioned that I do not want to argue because I was at work and I do not want my anxiety to get any higher and have another panic attack at work. I felt distraught and felt it harder to breathe at a steady rate. I called*** back and told her what happened. Also, during my last call talking to the Missouri office, she stated they were located in Kansas city, Missouri when a previous employee stated they were located in St. Louis, Missouri. I am very confused because I do not know if I should trust my payments being made to a company who seems misleading. Hence, I wanted my account moved to the Georgia one. The Missouri office is very confusing because they declined being a debt collector or collection firm. They told me a couple times they are a mediation firm. However, on the Revdex.com website, it states they are a collection agency.
On July 18, I called to speak to*** but ended speaking to a senior employee named *** at the Georgia office. She was very kind. She said the way the Missouri office behaved was not how NCR conducts business. She said*** could have worded things differently. She could not find my account and told me I was calling the wrong company. I explained to her what happened. The debt for Ms. was purchased by my company, but we are not the company that was calling and threating her. The other company is a completely separate company and not a subsidiary of any kind of National Check Resolution. The employees Vanessa and Marie, the 855 number and the account number do not belong to National Check Resolution Inc. We were not able to fully assist her since her account is not loaded into our system. We did contact the other company and told them to close the account out in their office due to the complaint we received in our office by Ms.. Ms. may contact my office if she would like to resolve the debt. If she would like to resolve, then we will load her debt into our system to assist her. She may call the 877 number for assistance.

When I spoke to *** and***, they told me that the *** location is one of their locations. I am very confused.

National Check Resolution Response • Jul 27, 2018

National Check Resolution is the owner of the debt. Due to all of the confusion we will simply close your file as debt forgiven. I apologize for any frustration or confusion this has caused.

NCR has been taking money for an account I supposedly owe on but has not sent debt validation as of yet.
I received a call from*** with NCR, saying I owed money for an account with Plain Green, she claimed I owed twice as much as I had borrowed. I agreed to make payments since she was threatening me with legal action. She advised I would receive a debt validation letter via email. I have faithfully been paying since November 2017. At this time I have paid $1500, at least. I called today to check the balance because I believed it was almost paid off, however I was advised I still owed $1557. They said I might be able to settle for $900 in 2 monthly payments. I feel I have paid enough in without getting anything in writing, dumb on my part. The telephone number provided does not work,I have to call a local ghost number to get in touch with anyone. *** is the number I have to call, but they provided me***. They claim to be in GA. I am not going to pay anymore. I would like the account closed and marked as paid. Its bad enough Plain Green is raping people with interest, which is illegal anyway but then to have these people call to take double what was borrowed. They are the criminals.

Desired Outcome

I would like the money I have already paid in to resolve the account and not further money taken. If they are unwilling to resolve, then I would request a refund and would send that money to the company they claim to be collecting the money for, since I don't feel that is what is happening.

National Check Resolution Response • Jun 25, 2018

Ms. set up payments in Dec 2017 and has been making payments since that date. The total amount that PlainGreen sold the debt for was $3,019.53. My company does not add any fees or interest onto any debt in our office. The balance is that high from PlainGreen adding on their fees and interest to the unpaid loan.
The account was reviewed and there was no notes of any request for a validation to be sent. The loan was verbally verified when she set up payments. We did resend the credit card agreement form to her on 6/21/18 per her request.
I spoke to our client and they would like Ms. to speak to our office manager in regards to her debt. If she could please call our customer service line*** to discuss that would be appreciated.

National Check Resolutions Inc. contacted me back in September 2017, they stated I owe $1671.59 for an account from Visa I believe. I was 26 years old and I didn't know at the time what to do because I felt threatened so I paid them $250 on 9/14/17, and after that I paid $150 every month up until two months ago then I paid them $75. In the meantime I researched my rights and I was told to make sure this collection company validate your debt. On 3/10/2018 I reported them to the three credit bureaus asking them to verify this account well I found out they are not on my credit reports so I sent National Debt Resolution a letter on 5/2/2018 & 5/30/2018 and today to validate the debt and they have failed to do so. Today I told them I would give them $220 for them to leave me alone but they threatened me over the phone saying they were going to mess up my credit. I know this is not legal. They already have a rating a D with your company so i'm assuming you're already aware of their shady practices. I need your assistance in this matter.
Account_Number:

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want them to validate the debt showing me proof of their rights to collect the debt, a complete detailed history of all transactions, a contract bearing my personal signature, proof of my identification (copy of driver's license). If they fail to do so stop trying to collect a debt from me and leave my credit report alone.

National Check Resolution Response • Jun 08, 2018

Ms. has an account in my office for her Lendmark Financial Services debt. She agreed to make payments on this debt with us, so nothing was reported to the credit bureaus by my company. Ms. stated she requested a validation of debt on 5/2, 5/30 and 6/7. When an account is accessed the system automatically enters a notation that the account was accessed by a specific collector. The account was not accessed on 5/2 or 5/30, and there are no recorded calls from those dates. We did receive a fax from Ms. on 5/22 stating she is cancelling her payment agreement with us, but there was no request for a verification of debt. We also received a fax on 5/30 informing us that she is giving us permission to deduct payments again and to disregard her cancellation letter fax from 5/22. There was no request at this time for a validation of debt. I can send both letters as proof that no verification was requested in either letter. On 6/7 Ms. did speak to our office and did request a validation of debt. She also offered $220 as a settlement to close out her account. She was informed that we could not close out her account that low, as we could only offer a settlement of 75% off the current balance. We could not agree on a settlement offer during this conversation, and the call was disconnected due to the arguing between both parties. My representative did not state he would "mess up" her credit during that call. He did inform her it could be put on her credit. A fax from Ms. was received at 4:53pm EST on 6/7 and that letter did request the verification of debt in written format and she also cancelled her current payment agreement. The verification of debt required by the FDCPA was emailed to her gmail account today 6/8 at 9:10am EST. A request for the signed contract has been sent to our client to obtain. Her account was put on HOLD in my office until we hear back from her after reviewing the verification of debt. Due to this complain and the complaint filed with the CFPB her account is now closed in our office and she will need to speak to our client RMCM in regards to her account.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This business is in violation of my rights they did not validate this debt at all.

National Check Resolution Response • Jun 11, 2018

The first time a validation of debt was requested was on 6/7/18 and the validation was emailed on 6/8/18. Companies are only required to validate the debt when the customer requests the validation per the FDCPA. Once the validation was requested on 6/7/18 we did in fact send the validation on 6/8/18. Again, I can provide the 2 faxed letters showing that no validation was requested on those 2 letters. NCR did not violate the FDCPA, as the validation was sent upon request.
As per the previous response the account was closed and returned to the client. If Ms. has any further questions about her account she can contact the client RMCM.

Customer Response • Jun 13, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They did email me but it was not a validation of debt. It was a letter with their letterhead saying I owe a certain amount. They received a letter from me prior to 6/7. I also sent them a letter on 5/30 stating I never heard back from at all. The letter that was emailed to me did not have my signature, a signed contract, statements, nothing at all.

This is company calls and leaves threatening voicemails saying that they are going to file a suit against you in whatever county you reside. Saying that you will be served at your residence and then your place of employment. He stated that I voluntarily gave up my right when the payment was not approved. However today the payment came out of my account almost a week later. He said he would send over the agreement to my email and I have yet to receive it. I decided to call the actual loan company and they stated that they have no affiliation with National Check Resolution.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a refund on all the payments I have made to this company as to *** stated they use ***. I tried to contact them as well and their voicemail is full and can not except anymore calls. This is absolutely ridiculous.

National Check Resolution Response • Jun 06, 2018

My company does not work directly with ***, as our client *** owns the debt and not my company.
Ms. called our office on 6/5 to question a payment that was processed. The payment was for a scheduled payment that had been declined. The void receipt was emailed to her gmail address on file. Two letters were sent to her gmail address in PDF formats. Ms. responded to that email stating she could not open the attachments. A response was sent to her offering to mail the letters if she could not open the PDF format.
Ms. called our client *** on 6/5 and spoke to them about her account that was in our office. My client then contacted me to have the account closed out due to complaint and asked that the payment from 6/5 be refunded. The payment was then voided and a voided receipt was emailed to Ms. gmail address.
After receiving this complaint our client *** decided to have us refund all of Ms. payments to her. Once all payments have been refunded the refund receipts will be emailed to her gmail account. Ms. account has been closed out in my office and returned to our client.

Unlawful collection activity - they make threats of being served and bogus charges to collect money.
We have received numerous phone calls from *** with this company about an outstanding debt. When I called back it was a loan we took out with Plain *** We changed banks and did not inform them of the change and the loan was sent to a collection company. We did not hear anything for months in regards to this and honestly forgot about it until the phone calls started. When I spoke to someone at the company on February 8th he asked if we had been served yet? He stated that we were going to be charged with Frauding a Financial Institution and the papers would be served to us any day. I asked for documentation and was informed he would send them to me, but we would probably be served before they arrived. I told him we would take our chances. The next day I received another call from *** that being we haven't responded to their numerous phone calls (in total I think there was 3) that we should be prepared to be served and to make sure we carry 2 forms of ID with us all day and they would also be contacting out employer to let them know they would be on the grounds to take care of this. I understand we have a debt to be paid, however making threats of these kinds is I believe illegal and not necessary. We have the letter and I can set up a payment plan to pay if off, but do not threaten to arrest us and to have us served and have people come to our employers. A real collection agency would not use these types of tactics. All they are trying to do is scare money out of people.

Desired Outcome

They may follow up by email but they are not to call and make threats against us. They do not need to contact family, employers, neighbors, anyone. They have our email address and my phone number. They need to stop making threats to have us served with bogus charges. Work with us on a payment plan. We can pay $50 per month right now and more later, but that is all we can afford at this time.

National Check Resolution Response • Feb 21, 2018

I was able to find the account under the name of ***. Company policy is to close out a file and return it to the client when a complaint has been filed. I was made aware of a check issue from 2014, and reached out to this company to resolve the issue on December 28, 2017 . I made an initial payment of $100 on a debt of $309 with my bank card. I advised the representative to call me on or before January 17th to schedule a final payment. I was not able at that time to set up the remaining payment, and needed a little more time.On January 25th. 2018 I received an email from this company stating the following: (copied via my Email)

***,

In order for us to proceed with clearing your name from Chexsystems we must first receive your scheduled payment immediately as this may hinder the process. Please contact our office at your earliest convenience to take care of this matter.

Then on February 1st, 2018 this company unlawfully and fraudulently processed the remaining payment of $209 with my debit card information that they held on file. (Unsure that is even legal.)

I did my best to try to rectify this situation with them, going so far as to speak with the manager named "Larry". I advised this gentleman that this payment was unauthorized and unlawful, and that there is a problem now, as my bank has rejected payments that I had set to go through the account. "*** advised me that he loves problems, and cant wait to hear what he is supposed to do about this issue. At this time Larry stated that he would refund the payment, and that I should have the funds back into my bank account within 24-48 hours and he ended the conversation with me. Keep in mind there was no *** spoken to me, and Im wondering if this company is even ligitimet.
I called and again spoke to *** on February 7,2018, and he again assured me that the refund was sent and that I should be seeing the funds in my account. I called and spoke with my bank, and they have informed me that there is no refund, nothing is pending. This company I believe is a fraud.

Desired Outcome

Refund I simply would like my funds back so I may pay my creditor directly. I have lost all faith in this company and believe there have been many laws broken according to FTC guidelines.

National Check Resolution Response • Feb 12, 2018

I received a missed call from this company on Friday February X XXXX she left a voicemail stating if I dont call back they would be suing me and garnishing my income tax. Then they called my 86 yr old grandma harrassing her and when I got on the phone the lady was very rude I asked for her to send me something writing she refused to and insisted I give her my banking information which I refused to. She kept trying to make me make payment arrangements and I told her no I need something in writing. My aunt informed me that they called her on Monday Feburary X XXXX stating this is a matter downtown. I have no clue why they are calling my family and how they got their number.

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi I want them to stop harassing and calling me and my family my grandma is 86 yrs old and my aunt is almost 70 yrs old they dont need to be harrassed.

This complaint is filed under the wrong company. My company National Check Resolution Inc. is the current owner of Ms. account, but her account is not currently in my office. I have requested the file to be returned to my office. If Ms. would like to discuss her account with my office she may call us directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Again, my company has not spoken to Ms. or tried to contact her in any way. This complaint should not be filed under my company since we have never contacted her.

Because their response isnt true. This is regarding purchasing power and they specifically stated this in the phone call and I also called purchasing power and they said that national check resolution has this account

National Check Resolution Response • Feb 16, 2018

I have no reason to lie in any responses about any accounts owned or placed in my office. As per my previous response National Check Resolution is the current owner of this account. My company did NOT contact Ms. about her Purchasing Power, as the account was placed in another office. If Ms. would like to speak to my company about her unpaid debt, then we would be happy to discuss the account with her. Again, National Check Resolution Inc. does own the current debt, but we have NOT contacted her in any form. She will need to contact the company back to get the correct company name that is calling her and file the complaint under that company. My company has not contacted her, so I can not close her file out for harassment. She will need to contact the correct company to request them to cease and desist all contact with her if that is what she wishes.

Receiving threatening calls of pending prosecution. Have not received any correspondence validating claim
I spoke to a Ms. last year regarding this supposed payday loan and I told her at that time that I would work on it, but that my finances were very tight. I made a few payments, but asked for documentation as proof that this was my account. I told her that there are scams out there that try to get consumer to pay for debts that arent theirs. She was rude and threatening me with civil action. I then received a call yesterday from a man that told me to always have my ID on me so in case I get served there is proof and he threatened me again. I tried to call the number back and got a vm. I have never received anything in writing from this company as proof that this case is true and I have asked for this repeatedly. My identity was stolen several years ago and with it, I believe that someone took out loans in my name. I explained this to Ms. and she did not believe me. I didn't want to pay any of this without proof. She wanted to keep my debit card on file which I disagreed as that is how my identity got taken in the first place. The threatening calls have to stop. I'm at work and I get cursed out on the other end of the phone and spoken to like I'm a criminal. I want the calls to stop immediately and to have documentation sent to me regarding all of this. They say that they don't have the information, but yet want me to pay for something I don't believe is mine. Not sure who else to contact regarding this. Doing a search now to get this stopped.

Desired Outcome

I would like to have a copy of my file with the original information attached. I would like the name of the corporate heads so that I can send them a letter letting them know that their people are vicious and disrespectful. As I don't believe this account is mine, I would like the calls to stop until I receive proof that this is my account and not something that someone opened in my name. I would like to not be harassed while I'm at work and if this account is mine, I would like to pay by mail since that seems safer than giving some stranger my debit card information

National Check Resolution Response • Jan 22, 2018

I need more information to locate this account, as I have several ***/***'s in my database. I have no accounts for ***/*** or ***-***. If I can get an email address, mailing address or the last 4 digits of the social I can then search my database to see if I have an account for ***-***.

Received a call today threatening and telling me good luck that they had me scheduled for service today. Called the number back and tried to obtain more information was icing information regarding an online pay day loan but would not give any details related to the supposed pay day loan. Told me they could not help me and I would be served by a courier. When inquiring was that certified mail and that I needed proof of the debt they would only repeat I would be served by a courier. I worked backwards and found that national check resolution was hired by *** debt collection who stated they couldn't help me either because national check resolution had the alleged debt.

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi I want proof of the debt mailed to my address and the ability to settle this alleged debt once I receive proof of the debt. I do not want to receive anymore harrassing and threatening phone calls.

National Check Resolution Response

The account has been reviewed for Mr. and This account has been placed in our office by our client ***.
I see that we spoke to him on 11/7/17 and he requested paperwork to be sent to him. A notice was mailed to him on 11/8/17. I will also mail him a Verification of Debt today for his records. After reviewing the information we sent to him I suggest he contact *** if there are any discrepancies of the debt, as they closed the debt out to be sold for unpaid on 9/07/16. Once he reviews everything he may contact our office to let us know what his intentions are. His account will be held in our office for 30 days.

Gave my information and the reason for their call to a third party and sent a text message to a phone number with my full name, SSN, and full DOB.
September 8th 2017 I received a call from my mother and she told me that she received a call from a National Check Resolution sister company named National Credit Resolution. This company released personal and private information about me to a third party which is a violation FDCPA. I gave them a call at a number that they left my mother. Spoke with *** who stated he was going to sue and garnish my wages if I did not pay the account they state is in my name. I felt if I did not set up a arrangement that he would truly sue and garnish my wages. I set up a 115.00 a month payment arrangement with them and gave debit card information. I missed a payment at which time I received a text message and voicemail that had my full name, full SSN, date of birth and requesting a call back. This is also a violation of FDCPA as well as leaving me open t identity theft. Upon advice from my manager at work. I requested validation of the debt they said I owe. The Manager *** if I wanted validation he would just report to my credit and I could look at my credit report. This is a violation of the FCRA. At this time I feel now they are threating my credit to receive payment. I then called back to request mailing address so I can send in a written dispute to receive validation- I might add I have not received any correspondence from this company prior to these calls giving me the opportunity to dispute the debt they say I owe. This is also a violation of the FDCPA. I advise both reps from this company I was making a complaint in regards to how I have been treated. All I need is validation of the debt they say I owe. I feel with the egregious violations to my rights as a consumer that if they do not validate the debt without hurting my credit I will have no other alternative but to seek legal action. I am trying to give this company the benefit of the doubt prior to that happening.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that I be sent an itemized statement of charges. I also do not want this reported to my credit report until sufficient documentation has been received. I will also request at this time that there should be no balance to be paid on this account if it is proven to be mine. The numerous violations this company has committed could be in excess of $3000.00. I want no further text messages or calls to my mother in regards to this account as I am not sure this account is even mine.

National Check Resolution Response

My company National Check Resolution Inc. is the current owner of the debt, but as stated in the complaint the account was placed with another agency. My company has never contacted Mr. since his debt was placed with another company. Since my company has never contacted Mr. I am requesting this complaint to be closed and filed under the correct company. The other company has been instructed to close the account and send it back to our office. If Mr. would like to contact our office to obtain a validation of debt he may do so.
Again, my company has never made contact with Mr., so this complaint needs to be closed for wrong company and filed under the company that he set up payment arrangements with.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Unfortunately when you contact the said sister company at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX you are told that you are calling NCR. So as for saying this is not your company I do not believe that. You are also stating that you placed my account with another company which is your sister company (let's be honest here) that you have instructed your other company to close and return the account back to you which tells me that your companies are one in the same. You have several employees by the name *** - *** and *** that have stated to me that they work for NCR. All of these employees with your company have refused to give me an address. All that I have spoken to have violated my rights as a consumer and they all have violated the FDCPA. Which you and I both know you are held liable under to follow all rules and regulation to stop the abuse that your company has given to me. You as the Parent company or sister company are liable for the actions of your employees. I see that you are not willing to take responsibility for the actions of the said employees or for your company in general. They hang up on people, tell them that the county sheriff will be knocking on their door and pose threats that are in violation of the law. I am not confident in you handling any said debt you say I have appropriately, confidentially, or even ethically, as you are not willing to give the address of your company or said sister company. I would like a formal apology from your company for the undue stress it has caused me, as well as validation on this so called debt. I am currently seeking legal remedies against your company at this time. I encourage any member of the Revdex.com to contact this company at the above number and see if my claims are warranted. I can guarantee that if they do not know the Revdex.com is calling but a regular person like myself - they will be appalled by the way they are treated. This company gives reputable collection companies a bad name and they need to be shut down.

National Check Resolution Response

I completely understand the frustration and the confusion of this situation with multiple companies involved. I would like to help you as much as I can, so please feel free to contact me directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX to discuss further. I believe a phone conversation is better at this time, as I do not want to appear argumentative with you going back and forth on the Revdex.com website.

I keep getting calls at work (XXX)XXX-XXXX from *** and *** and I have told them I'm not allowed any phone calls at work and they call at least 2 times a day. I asked them to mail me a letter of validity as to what debt I have with them. Then they hang up and call my employer again. I believe this to be a scam- here is the message:
I just got a voicemail from ***. I copied the transcript: This is for (my first and last name). (first and last name) this is *** I'm calling regarding some paperwork I have at my office with your information. I need you to be advised that I have a request for you to sign a notice of intent regarding a pending case that's been filed against you. Before I go ahead and stop bye your home or your work I just wanted to give you a courtesy call and inform me that you are going on my schedule for service. If you or your attorney have any questions you need to contact the claimant directly their phone number is (XXX)XXX-XXXX when calling them please refer to your case number XXXXX. But unless I hear differently (my first name) I will be out to serve you in the next 24-48 hours again have a valid ID and govern yourself accordingly.

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi No more phone calls to my employer. If I truly have a debt they can mail me proof of debt. I believe this to be a scam. I do not have any debt and have never been harassed like this. They use scare tactics and I want them to stop.

Ms. has a file in my office for Lendmark Financial Services from a 2014 loan. Ms. was contacted at her place of employment and per the recorded conversation she did state she could not receive calls at her office. Paperwork was emailed to Ms. on 8/31/17. We have not heard back from Ms., but she is welcome to contact our office to speak to her about taking care of this unpaid debt.
