National Express Moving

URGENT AND VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE THIEVES AND LIARS.

National Express Moving is a scam and fraud company. It is a broker company which hires the worst and most thieves company in the world “Integrated Moving Solutions Inc.” which ends up doubling your cost by lying about your cubic footage. They very unprofessional, liars and thieves. They contract with you with a price and you end up paying much more. We were promised to have our items delivered in about 7 days, and they were delivered in about one month. On top of all of these bad services their carrier delivered our items mostly damaged, broken and missing (stolen), and in return they are currently not even responding to pay their trivial settlement of $ 0.60 per pound, after damaging and stealing thousands of dollars, and when we requested their assistance in resolving this issue, their Customer Service Manager stated that she cannot assist us in this matter.

NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. This type of corrupted companies should be seriously investigated and should be out of business. The US law should prohibit such companies from providing services and should protect customers from these thieves.

DO NOT EVER EVER USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY AS THEY ARE THIEVES AND LIARS AND THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH THE WORST STEALING CARRIER “INTEGRATED MOVING SOLUTIONS, INC.”

They picked my things up in 7/21 and basically told me I will never see it again. Susan Kay is the customer service representative and she is rude and dismissive about the fact that they are all thieves

Save yourself! Don't do it
They are just an aggregator that takes you money as a deposit and then hooks you up with any scam movers that could find to do your move.
They will lie to you before taking deposit saying that they have a "truck that moves to the same destination, so you could save". Don't be fooled.
After you pay to them a deposit ($1800 in my case) you are not a customer to them but a victim.
On a moving day scammers they hired to make the move were total junk who threatened me and increased initial estimation from $4k to $10k because as they claim I had more stuff than I claimed. After half an hour pressing and forcing me to sign these documents they just left.
The next movers who came few days later as a replacement charged me "just" $7k and I agreed to this.
The moving took about a month, my stuff visited multiple trucks and storages, at one place some boxes get wet and came with ruined stuff (wet and moldy).
Some furniture and fragile stuff were broken. It's all because people who they hired have zero interest of caring about your belongings.
One positive moment is that nothing been stoled, and I'm quite surprised about that.
Save your nerves, hire reputable company!

Gave an accurate listing of items that needed to be moved. Was quoted $3k. When the movers showed up they said it would be $8,500. I had pay it.
Movers showed up at 5pm on the last day of the window they provided which was the last day of occupancy for me. There were only two of them to move my house. They said it would be $8,500 not $3k that I was quoted. My only course of action was to deny service which wasn't an option as we had to leave that night. They trapped me into a situation where they knew they could get more out of me. On top of that they nickle and dimed me for items they said I wouldn't have to pay for, supplies, stairs, etc. This added another $600 to the price.

They damaged 7 of 8 peices of wooden furniture they moved. At one point I observed them running a dolly carrying my dresser into a fire hydrant.

They left both of my houses with holes in the wall and ceilings from hitting them with the furniture.

Desired Outcome

I wan't a refund for the all the extra costs and payment for the drywall repair/paint as well as the damage to the furniture.

Mr. Wyatt,

First and foremost absolutely no one forced you to move your items and to pay additional money. Prior to loading you agreed to the revision. Why did you not call us during pick up if there were discrepancies.

Please call Susan asap at 561-931-0374 to file claims and we can begin working on a resolution.

Thank you for the response. As I mentioned I was backed into a corner on the moving date with the lateness of the movers. Before signing the contract I did contact Clark, my agent, and he informed me TJ sign and work things out later.

I have called in before posting this to the Revdex.com and you were unable or unwilling to do anything as "services had been rendered".

If you are saying that you are willing to address my issues now I will call back. Please advise.

John.

National Express Moving Response • Sep 22, 2020

John,

Please Please call Susan at 561-931-0374 upon receipt of this response so we can get working on the claims process for you. We will lobby with the carrier on your behalf.

Customer Response • Sep 25, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have started the claim filing for the damages but that does not address the issue of the actual cost vs the estimate and the timing that didn't allow for us to have any other choice.

They Up charged us for supplies that were covered on the contract as well as stairs that were supposed to be covered and charged us 3x the total amount quoted for the same furniture and items that were quoted. In fact we ended up leaving some items in PA as they were going to charge us more for them even though they were in the original quote.

I went with you bc your quote was nominally more expensive than other option and you provided the tape and blankets for our furniture. In the end you were wildly expensive and terrible service and even though I contacted you prior to engaging with the new estimate your guidance was to move forward and we would settle it after the fact. Now I'm having to alert the Revdex.com as you are refusing to do anything.

National Express Moving Response • Oct 01, 2020

John,

We most certainly can help you with the claims process.

In regards to the overages we did not charge you any additional money. The carrier does not share that with us.

We are willing to assist you in any way possible as it is never our intention to have an unhappy customer.

Customer Response • Oct 02, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I know that you contracted the service out but I signed up with you based on your quote you provided. The contractors may have been the ones that charged me 3xs more than the quote but your representative at your company told me to move forward with it and we would figure it out afterwards. I contracted with you and you have an obligation to be accountable for the situation you put me and my family into. It's either through unintentional incompetence or intentional deception that we were put in this situation. Either way that was predicated on my relationship with you and the expectations you set.

Do not use this company! *** gave a nice sales pitch as to how they are nothing like their competitors in the beginning but once things started going south he refused to answer his phone. I was very thorough in counting boxes. tubs and household items I had and they showed up with a truck that was obviously too small. I ended up having to rent 2 additional Uhaul trucks to get my household items from Fl to VA. Once my truck arrived in VA they immediately charged an additional 400 to get to my front door. They also would not accept my Navy Federal Credit Union cashiers check and insisted they wanted cash or a money order from WalMart or the Post Office. So they refused to unload my stuff from the truck while I drove an hour to a NFCU office to cash the cashiers check. Half way to NFCU a supervisor called and said "ok, we will accept the cashiers check". Once they started unloading the truck they were careless- bumping furniture into walls and stating they could not get my couch into the basement although the previous owner had gotten a couch in the basement. Moving is stressful enough without working with sketchy movers.

On July 10 I contracted for $1,934.36 to have my belongings moved from Cincinnati, OH to Scottsdale, AZ. MY stuff was picked up on July 27. It is 32 d
MY stuff was picked up on July 27. It is 33 days later and I do not have my things. I have been living with virtually no furniture or cooking utensils.. I have called the company dozens of times and have not gotten any satisfactory explanation. Now they won't even accept my calls and they ignore my emails.

Desired Outcome

I want my stuff delivered and expect compensation for the expenses I incurred in the month long delay.

National Express Moving Response • Sep 01, 2020

Although its unfortunate that delivery has not occurred yet Ms. let the carrier know she was not able to receive her items until July 31st. From that date the carrier Imperial Movers has 21 business days to complete the delivery. On August 27th she called the movers and said that she wanted to come to the warehouse and grab her own belongings. Please have her call Susan at XXX-XXX-XXXX asap to get this resolved.

Good afternoon,
I want to first and foremost apologize for the extreme inconvenience that this may have caused to your family. Please rest assured that the items have not been stolen, we have NO INTENTIONS on keeping the items in our possession. Due to the COVID 19, our company has taken a very big hit as we are down to less than 50% of the drivers that we normally have on the road. We have been actively working to provide an update on the shipment, however we have not been able.
Please be assured that we are working to get the items to you, and again I do apologize that this is taken longer than estimated.
I also want to let you know that the items have been transported to OHIO as we may have a potential driver who might be able to deliver the items, however until that is set in stone I cannot promise an exact delivery date.
As soon as that is set in stone, we will be able to call you and provide an update on the delivery.
We greatly appreciate your patience!
Again, I do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused for you and your family.

No I haven't heard of them before. - I first noticed something was off when I got to Arizona. Basically on August 3rd. I started taking notes after the phone calls. I called NEM to get an update on the movers bc my date for delivery was scheduled July 31st (range estimated of 2weeks). When I spoke with Susan Kay from NEM on Monday August 3rd, that was when I began having communication issues- this started with her telling me she "couldn't reach the carrier company "Imperial". " (Also know as Moving and Storage LLC)She promised to "get back to me by the end of the day", but did not. She didn't call me back, and didn't respond to my voicemails. I called that weekend and spoke with customer service and asked for a manager to reply- the only manager there was Susan Kay. I finally received an email from Susan Kay Monday am, whom my original complaint was about. With no resolve or answers to my questions and no apology for the lack of follow through earlier in the week. I was told I could call back later in the week if I had not heard from the carrier by then. her back multiple times before reaching her again to get any information. Each conversation was the same, no information provided to me, no professional courtesy, no communication about when/where my things were being held or transported or what company I could call or communicate with. She was short, rude, and extremely disrespectful. She cut me off in the middle of my speaking and hung up before I would finish a sentence on multiple occasions. She never followed through once when she said she would call me to provide me information. I will call around tomorrow to try and locate an address for where my things are.

Yeah, that's what I was telling you on the phone when my phone was cutting out. Susan Kay from NEM (National Express Moving) has claimed "Imperial" is the carrier company that came to pick up my things since the first week I have been calling inquiring about my things. I told her then, the paperwork from the movers picking up my things that NEM sent was "Moving and Storage Connection LLC" -she said "they must be a sister company" but never gave me a clear cut response to how they two are related. Its all a bunch of lies since the beginning...I called to talk to her regarding her response to the Revdex.com complaint, there was no answer- I left a voicemail.

First and foremost *** will receive the resolution she is seeking. Imperial the carrier we assigned had a miscommunication with the customer where they thought she was coming to pick up her own items. This caused further delays to delivery. She will receive her stuff and be financially compensated for the troubles. We are sorry for all the delays and confusion.

Customer Response • Sep 14, 2020

This was my response sent to NEM from their email sent to me. I do apologize for all the the email chains- it is very confusing being sent from multiple companies and not knowing who I am speaking with.
Since sending this email, I have called National Express Moving 3 times, been put on hold as soon as they answer and left voicemails with no response. I have also called Moving and Storage Connections a number of times and left voicemails with no call back.
I have tried to figure out how to contact these companies to see where their communication breakdown is. There was no misunderstanding, on my part. I have engaged them to move my things to Scottsdale, Arizona where I have moved. I have asked where my items were along the way and the location of where they were being held, trying to find an address of where my belongings were. They wouldn't even provide me with that information for almost an entire month when I told them it was to file a claim to submit to an attorney. That was when I finally was told they were being held at a storage facility in Indiana with other people's belongings and they couldn't provide me with further information. I would not ever go get my things in Indiana when I live in Scottsdale.
I still have no idea who Imperial is. Moving and Storage Connection, LLC, was on the letterhead of the documentation I received on July 27 when they picked up my things. It's been 46 days since my items were picked up and I still don't have your property. I need to get a specific date of when my stuff will arrive in Scottsdale. I appreciate their reply, but still have no timeframe when my personal belongings will be delivered.
Below is the email I sent to Susan in response to hers sent to me. Please let me know if I need to upload it to my file.
Thank you,***

National Express Moving Response • Oct 01, 2020

Per the legal contract that *** signed, NEM has performed our portion of the agreement. Our role was to assist her by finding a licensed and insured mover for the relocation. Her issues are with the carrier, not with us. We have however continually corresponded and worked with her as an advocate with the carrier. According to the carrier there was a gross miscommunication that's led to this. For that we are sorry and will continually assist you and advocate on your behalf .

Great pre-sales pitch showcasing complaints filed against their competitors (other brokers) and how other carriers demand more when they arrive. Poor customer service and no commitment after I trusted them and signed up. Demanded $250 more when they arrived to pick up at 11pm - not parking the truck closer to the apartment as other movers typically do in this complex - and charged for long carry. It was a small shipment and took less than an hour to complete as I had packed everything up and placed them near the door for pickup. Shipment has been held up for 3 weeks now with their carrier (Leadership Logistics) with no estimate when the shipment will be loaded onto a truck to move from California to Atlanta. They are not responsive to phone calls or reply to emails, and put you on long hold when they do pickup and don't want to help. They are unable to coordinate with their own carrier who is also equally unresponsive. Shipment is to my student son (I am a senior citizen) who is waiting on books and essential supplies for college that started a week ago. I had booked on July 21 for a August 3 pickup and estimated August 15 delivery. It is August 24 and I have lost all hope because the shipment is still sitting in California after 3 weeks. After all the initial kind sales pitch, the service has been appalling and unprofessional. Enduring a lot of relocation expenses because of this poor service with no empathy for what customers like me have to go through. I can understand delays on the road, but this is clearly beyond that.

I had booked my move and paid my deposit. I was moving out of a two bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor that I had rented for work. Due to COVID-19, my travel ended in March so I was moving everything out of my apartment at the end of the month. The move was booked for either the 29th or 30th. I had to be out of the apartment on the 31st. Mid afternoon on the last day of the two day window, after calling multiple times, I was informed that my move had been cancelled. Are you kidding me??? NOPE!! I was stuck!!! my home is over a 24 hour drive from where my apartment was located. Ended up having to rent a U-Haul and drive all of that back all by myself - NOT WHAT I HAD PLANNED AS AN EXCITING WEEKEND!! Very disappointed with customer service. If you aren't going to be able to fulfill a commitment that you have already received nearly a $900 deposit, good business practice would have been to let the customer know.

Move from Boston to San Diego. Pick up from Boston was June 21st. No update or status when the delivery will be expected.
My daughter, *** is a healthcare professional. She was moving to San Diego from Boston for further studies. I contacted National Express on June 2 approximately and was told that move from east coast to west will take approximately 7-10 days because the driver can drive only 500 miles. I called back later and confirmed about the payment, delivery time etc while the call was on speaker and my husband was listening. I paid the initial deposit of 1/3rd of the payment and confirmed and got a receipt. They subcontracted to "One of One" movers. "One of One" movers came on June 21st and told my daughter that everything will be delivered by June 28th and latest by July 1st. We have been calling them everyday since then and we were lucky enough to reach them 4/5 times since then, each they tell us that they say they will call back in 24 hours and have never called back to inform about the status. I have even asked my brother and sister-in-law to go and check what is going on. The dispatch manager said she will check and call back the next day, that was 2 weeks ago. During one of the phone conversations with One of One movers, dispatch staff said to check with National Express Moving because we had booked through them, so we sent an email to the salesperson and dispatch on July 8th and his email disputed the verbal communication about delivery saying that "the allowable legal response for a move governed by the Department of Transportation is 7-21 business from date of pick up." We also emailed the dispatch team of National Express Moving and they emailed on July 9th saying "that it is being worked on diligently." We have not heard back from either National Moving Express of One of One Movers about the status of delivery yet.

Desired Outcome

Deliver my daughters goods as soon as possible and in good condition as it was picked up.

Cool composed pros. That's how I would describe my movers from National Express Moving. They took care of my belongings just as I would have. They went above and beyond to make sure our move went very smoothly. My experience was good and I really enjoyed their service.

Moved within Florida from a 1 bed apartment to a 3 bed apartment. Jason came with one other mover. They were very polite and in constant communication so we would know when to expect them/what the next step was. Wrapped everything properly and moved within no time. Amazing speed.

The National Express Moving are amazing. They were all super professional, punctual, friendly, affordable, and deeply committed to helping the community out. I am so happy that this company exists. They are a real gem. I would not use another mover ever again. They are the best.

I had to move to NC within 2 days. I hired them and they helped me they really did. I didn't have to stay on top if they did the appropriate paperwork or not. Punctual, and didn't waste time! They wrapped everything properly because it was raining, and were careful with the boxes. The moving guys were knowledgeable of what they were doing, super pleasant, extremely helpful, fast, and so patient! I would suggest them.

Do NOT trust these people. They are a broker and any estimate they give you is not indicative of true costs. Our moving costs ended up being Double what we signed for and our main contact, Clark blocked us. We're currently in the process of suing them. Do not waste your time or money. They are fraudulent, unprofessional and EXTREMELY deceitful

I've been trying to cancel my move for a couple days now. No one will contact me about anything, multiple emails, texts and phone calls. To schedule my move I talked to Josh *** and he was professional and polite throughout the process and did military moves often but trying to talk to someone again is a pain and very frustrating. Absolutely terrible company. DO NOT USE.

was extremely disrespectful via text when I told them that I was not using their service. Here is the communication.

***: (HAPPY HOLIDAY) *** I have till this evening to book the space of 448 cubic feet / 3136 lbs for $$$$. plus auto at $$$$. God bless you and your daughter. I confirmed price and team. Please call me.

ME: Thank you for your time. We will not be using National Express Moving.

***: May I ask why??? Please educate me. It would be my honor to understand

ME: I do not owe any company a reason for not using their business. Please remove me and my daughter from your call, text, and email list. Thank you in advance.

***: So sorry if you can't afford us. Truth is I did it at cost, helping your daughter. Even a B or C rated mover can't beat the price. I hope you are educated enough to not be fooled by reviews. Please bless me and teach why not us??? I sent my DOT report after XXXXX moves, OUTSTANDING. WOW, I pray for you. Again sorry we are not cheap enough. God bless you both

He also emailed me twice after the text exchange this morning. I did not respond to his attacks on my intelligence with his unprofessional and demeaning comments. I have never been treated so poorly by a business. This is unacceptable. I hope this review will spark better customer service from ***.

National Express Moving is a broker who does not list their vendors on their website and runs a deceitful business. Empty promises/no communication.
The broker low balls the quote so the vendor they hire can upsell you when they come to you house. They go by cubic square feet so the average person doesn't understand how they justify the price. That is like guessing how many M & M's are in a candy jar. They tell you 3-5 days for delivery and I have in test messages they confirm that. I am sitting here on day 16 with no furniture, the vendor Orbit Moving Services truck broke down 300 miles from my place with no delivery date promised now. For the last 10 days, I have been told every day that I would be receiving my items, just to find out the truck never left my state of origin. I moved only 800 miles and I have nothing after 16 days. They will not respond, call me back, in fact the dispatchers hang up on us after all the lies they have told us. When Orbit came to my house to pick up my items, they showed up in an unmarked white truck, then said they had to go get a UHaul, which is one that I could rent and drive down myself. They told me they were driving it right down and it was then stored in MN for 2 weeks. I called the Durham NC police to drive over to the address that Orbit Moving Services provides on their contract and there is NO building there. The 800 # goes to 1 person who is dispatch who hangs us on you. National Express Moving says it's not their fault since they are the broker, however I would argue that because they are the company I hired, not Orbit and I didn't even know that Orbit would be the company taking my items or I wouldn't have hired them. Conveniently my sales rep with National Express Moving went on Medical leave while my issues are taking place because he gave me so many empty promises. Quite frankly, I would like to see both companies punished for running business this way. This is a scam and I hope that no one else has to live through this.

In addition, once the movers from Orbit loaded the truck, they demanded a personal $200 check made out to them for labor which is not on the contract and they left my house and cashed it immediately. Makes me sick to my stomach they take advantage of people like this.

*Terrible communication
*Empty promises
*False advertising

Desired Outcome

I am asking to only pay the price that was on my quote from the broker and not the moving company that I did NOT hire. I am asking that their deceitful practices get fixed or that they are no longer able to run a business. No one at that company has apologized besides their customer service gal. It went from delivery 3-5 days then the customer service gal say 3-10 and of course after the 10th day they say the company legally has 30 days to deliver. I would also like my $200 back that was demanded for labor in a personal check and cashed immediately.

National Express Moving Response • Jul 28, 2020

While we understand that Ms. is upset, we abided by all the terms and conditions of our contract that she willfully signed. If she has further issues with the licensed and insured movers we assigned to her move, she can reach out to suzan at XXX XXX XXXX for further assistance. Thanks!

Customer Response • Jul 29, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My biggest frustration with this company are the lies. I understand I signed an abiding contract, however I also expect these companies to be honest and kind. My broker just dropped me once my items were picked up and never once apologized for their lies to me. The people I worked with to book my move wouldn't even work with me when I needed them to. They just have you call their one dispatcher and Suzan........they ignore customer complaints and that's no OK. Their practice is unethical and I hope business like them can't stay open for long.

National Express Moving Response • Jul 30, 2020

We are sorry Ms. is is disappointed with our response. I am not sure why directing her to speak to customer care about her customer service issues is unethical? Her sales rep is not able to address her concerns with a carrier.

Thanks

DISHONEST company. From the beginning I was quoted 2,200$ to ship my car and my 1 bedroom. Once the driver arrived it was actually an extra 600$ due to the square footage. The company also charges you extra money ($60) for loading a tv, 12$ for boxing a item that they believe requires a box. Also, They NEVER called me back to ship my car. ONE WEEK LATER and my car still have not been picked up from my old house. They specifically said they would accommodate my deep freezer full of breast milk ( which was a lie) once they arrived the truck did not have a outlet as promised ( which was why I actually went with their company) I had to spend an extra 500$ out of my pocket to get my milk to my new home not to mention I now have to find a new moving company to move my vehicle. I was very patient with Clark and every representative I spoke to, only for them to hang up in my face when I demanded answers about my car being moved AND BLOCKED! PLEASE save yourself time, money and a headache from this moving company. And find someone else.

This company was by far the best I've ever hired in my many years of moving. My moving specialist was Clark Donahue also known as Superman and I have to admit, he does live up to his name. Thank you National Express Moving and thank you Clark "Superman" D.

As a broker, they hire external moving companies who can double your cost by lying about your cubic footage. Then you can't get out of it or else you'll lose your deposit.

For my move on 4/26/20 they hired Out of State Movers to execute my move from Dallas, TX to Chicago, IL. When the movers came to my one bedroom apartment they claimed that I needed to pay for an additional $1400 worth of space despite my detailed, accurate inventory staying EXACTLY the same as reported by National Express on my estimate.

Out of State Movers were dramatically dishonest about the cubic footage that my items occupied and National Express claims that it isn't their fault because they didn't change my price, their movers did. National Express hired this company, it cost $1400. Someone from National Express reimbursed me $100, which I felt was completely insufficient. He told me he would reach out to the movers they hired to try to resolve the situation, but then he stopped answering my calls or returning my messages.

Note that every review on yelp for this company within the last YEAR has only one star. They're not accredited with Revdex.com and the reviews are scary, not to mention National Express is totally unprofessional in their response. Do not trust these people with your money, belongings, or time. This was a lesson for me to avoid brokers in general.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to be without your stuff for a week and have LITTLE TO NO communication with ANYONE. The ONLY reason this review has one star is because of ***, the customer service representative who helped me on the phone finally. To start, I was told a final price in which I gave a deposit for. When the movers came, they told me there was a Long Carry Fee of $100 if they had to move my things over 75 feet. When I gave three options for where the truck could go, they claimed it was unsafe for them and they could only park the truck in one specific spot in the parking lot. This was never disclosed to me, and the movers demanded cash. They refused to move my things until that $100 was noted and given. I called my moving agent to ensure this was policy, as it was never explained to me before. When finalizing paperwork with the movers, they proceeded to verbally attack me, demanding to know why I called their boss. They started yelling at me and then yelling at each other. They rudely left my apartment, leaving remnants of their tools, tape, wrappings, and tarps. They picked up my stuff on Thursday. The movers later called me and ensured me they were coming Saturday between 1-3. I didn't hear from ANYONE for 2 DAYS after leaving many messages and trying to reach out. Finally, I spoke to ***. *** ensured me the movers would be here by Wednesday (almost a week after pick up). It is now Wednesday, 1:30 PM, and I have absolutely NO update on where my things are, when they are coming, or who they are with. Luckily, *** is very nice and is helping me the best she can. However, this is absolutely ridiculous. You give these people $1700 to be at their mercy, they have all of your stuff. It is filled with empty promises and little to no communication. I am incredibly frustrated and I have no clothes and no furniture. It's been almost a week. When I originally planned for this move to Nashville from Pittsburgh, I was told "Oh that should be a quick move!" "It would be Monday at the absolute latest!" Well, it's been almost a week, and I am no closer to figuring out where my stuff is. PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION.
