Dear [redacted]
On March 1, 2016 Ashford University (University) received your complaint filed with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) regarding your student account.  On April 8, 2016, the University responded to that complaint (Attachment A). On April 15, 2016, the University received your second complaint regarding the same concerns. Within your second complaint, you state the following:
I have been requesting the school contact me about a payment plan and I have been requesting a grade dispute form. I have reached out to the school several times via email and phone. They have not followed through with what they told me could be done about my grade and my billing issues.
As previously noted in the April 8, 2016, University response, your student account balance due in the amount of $1937 was referred to an external collection agency on November 24, 2015. Please note, you may contact the external collection agency [redacted] directly by telephone at[redacted] to set up repayment arrangements directly with them.
Additionally, I have included a Grade Appeal form for you to complete and submit. You may send the completed Grade Appeal form directly to [redacted] and I will route it to the appropriate University department for review.
The University’s position regarding your complaint remains the same.
It is always the intention of Ashford University and its employees to provide excellent student services and an excellent learning experience.  If you would like to discuss this matter further, please contact me at [redacted]
I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Sincerely,

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I honestly did not plagiarize and I also feel that based on my long term relationship with the university and my academic track record in my MBA program, there should be some sort of financial refund issued to me. I'm very disappointed because I hold Ashford University in very high regards as a great place to receive higher education.  And I have recommended others to go there.  This has made me think twice about if they truly care about the students or is it just about the money.  I only have 2 more classes so I will continue to press on, but I am very hurt that a resolution could not be arranged in this situation. Regards,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Ashford University continues to ignore all of my contact made to them.  They also continue to ignore numerous phone conversations made to them. They also fail to acknowledge the fact they did not provide a written contract outlining the terms and payment arrangement in which we agreed upon.

Dear [redacted]

On April 6, 2015 Ashford University (University) received the complaint you filed at the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) regarding your account balance due and referral to an external collection agency.  On April 30, 2015 the University responded to that complaint. On May 4, 2015 the University received your second complaint regarding the same concerns. On May 15, 2015 the University responded to your second complaint.  On May 27, 2015, the University received your third complaint regarding the same concerns.  On May 29, 2015, the University responded to your third complaint. On June 5, 2015, the University received your fourth complaint regarding the same concerns. On June 17, 2015, the University responded to your fourth complaint.  On June 25, 2015, the University received your fifth complaint regarding the same concerns. In your fifth complaint, you state the following:

Has Ashford University looked at any phone conversations? Again, I absolutely did speak with [redacted] via telephone and told him the exact date Ashford would receive payment! You mentioned that it is Ashford's policy to NOT gain a signed contract until after you receive payment. How can one go about a legal binding agreement without the terms and signatures gathered first? You could have just completely disregarded that as you do everything else. Nobody cares about all the phone conversations. You are only hung up on the email communications. When an agreement is made, that is when a contract with terms should be sent. Not after a payment is received. Would you buy your car and make a payment before having the signed contract outlining the terms? Would you buy your home and start making payments before you get a contract? I don't think so. If this is your policy, then that is just one more thing Ashford does to set students up to fail. Anywhere from talking them into programs that don't fit there [sic] needs, the constant turn over rate you have, and disregarding and phone contact. [redacted] knew the exact date Ashford would receive money in their hands. That is when [redacted] should have sent me a contract to sign when he became aware of that exact date!

Please note, while the University may record calls for quality assurance, not every call is recorded.  Additionally, any recorded phone calls are disposed of after six months.

The University’s position regarding your complaint remains the same.

It is always the intention of Ashford University and its employees to provide excellent student services and an excellent learning experience.  If you would like to discuss this matter further, please contact me at [redacted] or at [redacted]

I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Sincerely,
