I am writing in response to the complaint filed by
[redacted]. We were not notified by the clearing house that they were unable to
service the order and have issued a refund in the amount of $48 The mail piece received
is just a subscription offer for a magazine. It...

is not a bill or renewal bill, it is simply an offer
and can be discarded if the recipient does not wish to subscribe. We offer new subscriptions
and extensions to current subscriptions only for magazines that allow independent agent sales
through various magazine clearinghouses.
The back of the offer explains the offer and that we are an independent magazine
clearinghouse agent. The mail piece states that because we are an independent agent, we
do not necessarily have a direct relationship with the publishers or publications that we
offer. We have a relationship with the clearinghouses that process our orders. The coupon
also states that the offer received is a magazine subscription offer not a bill or invoice,
that the recipient is under no obligation to either buy a magazine or renew one and there
is also a box to check ''No Thank You", if the recipient does not wish to participate.

Review: I received this company's solicitation to set up a new magazine subscription to [redacted] magazine, a periodical I have subscribed to in the past. They offered a 3 year subscription for $59.85, in two payments of $29.93 and $29.92. Both these were sent by check and cashed. However, 2 months later, I still have not seen a single issue of the magazine, nor can I get in contact with the company, as their "voice mail" is always full. I have contacted [redacted] magazine and they state they have never received any funds from this company, nor a request for a new subscription. It is my belief, then, that National Publication Billing Services is not a periodical subscription service at all, but rather a scam company.

I would respectfully request a full refund of my money, $59.85, as I clearly will never receive the product I paid for from this company/Desired Settlement: A full refund of my money. Is there any possible way to sanction this company in some way? This can't be legal what they are doing.

Review: On 4-7-14 I sent National Publication Billing Services a check (#4819) for $45.00 for a subscription to Outside Magazine. To this date, no delivery of magazine. When I tried to contact NPBS, the phone number that is available states, "Mailbox is full." There is no way to contact them.Desired Settlement: Either refund my money or get my subscription to Outside magazine to me please. Thank you.

Review: we received an invoice from National Publication Billing Services. e paid the invoice for a magazine subscription renewal and have not received the magazine subscription. When we call the magazine, Outside Magazine, they have no record of the renewal. We paid the renewal on Mar 25, 2014. We have checked with our bank and National Publications has cashed the check. We just received another renewal invoice from National Publication Billing Services. They acknowledge receiving the money as it is shown as a credit but now they are asking for payment for an additional year of subscription.Desired Settlement: We would like National Publication Billing Services to refund our check for $18.00.

Review: Hello, I keep receiving junk mail from this company in a form which looks like a bill. I would like it to stop. Their phone number on the "bill" is incorrect and they are unresponsive to e-mails.Desired Settlement: Please take me off of your list and do not contact me.

Review: I do not have any affiliation or involvement with National Publication services, but they sent out their billing with my phone number on it. I tried getting in contact with them, it is an answering machine that is too full to leave a message. I had over 40 phone calls yesterday with irritated customers that thought I was the billing service. They need to re send their billing with the correct contact info on it.Desired Settlement: Change billing contact info immediately and resend. They need to answer their phone, and proof read their billing before they send it out.

Review: Have not received my magazine,,ABC soaps in depth. Have called several times,no answer. Have paid $68.91 for the three year subscription.Desired Settlement: The magazine or my money back!!!

Review: I received a notice to renew my [redacted] magazine for $36 from National Publication Billing Services. I sent in my check and it was cashed by this company. I never received my renewal and called [redacted] about my payment. They said the have no affiliation with this renewal company and never received payment. This is a total scam. It is not right to promise a service, cash someones check and outright steal money. If I do not get my refund I am going to look into legal action against this company.Desired Settlement: I would like my $36 refund!

Review: I received a notice from National Publication Billing Service to renew my subscription to Rolling Stone magazine. The offer was to renew the subscription for 2 years in the amount of 60 dollars (which was noted on the memo of the check I sent). My check, #[redacted], was dated and mailed on December 23rd, 2013 and was cashed on January 7th, 2014. This WAS a renewal notice which also included my expiration date of my current subscription! As of 3/7/2014 I have not received my magazine. I have called National Publication Billing Services at their ###-###-#### number on 8 separate occasions, leaving a detailed message of my complaint and a number where I could be reached. Every time I called, a message played saying "our offices are currently closed...please leave a number where we can reach you and someone will return your call as soon as possible". I called at various times throughout the day and every time, their office was closed. These calls were placed between 2/21/14 - 3/4/14. The last call I place I stated that if someone did not return my call by the end of the day, I would turn this problem over to the fraud department at my bank...still no return call.

CALLS PLACED ON: 2/21/2014, 2/25/2014, 2/26/2014, 2/27/2014 ( two calls, 1 in AM and 1 in PM), 2/28/2014, 3/3/2014, and 3/4/2014Desired Settlement: I see by my filing this complaint that this issue is common for this company and appears to be a scam...not only to the people who, in good faith, send them money, but also, after talking to supervisors at Rolling Stone magazine, a company that falsely represents Rolling Stone and steals customers from them.

I want a full refund in the amount of $60.00, which is the amount the check was made out for to National Publication Billing Services ( for a 2 year RENEWAL of Rolling Stone). I am NOT interested in receiving the magazine from National Publication Billing Services as I have reported this problem to Rolling Stone and they have renewed my subscription which I am currently receiving.

Review: Paid for 2yr subscription for Reader's Digest, control number [redacted] in June 1013. Have received several additional billings that imply my bill is past due on outside of envelope. Tried many times to contact by phone. Recording comes on that the voice box is full. Can't reach these folks by phone, e-mail or get a response by mail.Desired Settlement: Discontinue sending bills when no payment is due.

Review: These are companies that send out unordered magazines to me.Desired Settlement: Stop the magazines.

Review: In December of 2013 I received a mailing from National Publication Billing Services regarding the renewal of a magazine subscription to Golf Digest. On December 23, 2013 I wrote a check to National Publication Billing Services , check number [redacted], for $29.94 to renew my subscription. As of this date Golf Digest has not received any funds to renew my subscription from NPBS . I have called several times and their voicemail box is always full most likely with similar complaints. The check has been negotiated by NPBS, but they have not renewed the service.Desired Settlement: I have had to write a separate check directly to Golf Digest to renew my subscription so I would kindly prefer a cash refund .

Review: I applied for subscriptions for myself and my son, had different addresses, and they sent both magazines to my house.

Then they sent me another letter asking to be paid again which I did.

Unable to contact them as their mailbox is always full.Desired Settlement: That they take care of the problem and refund my money, 68 sentplus another $68 sent, or a refund of $136$

Review: Purchased a three year subscription for Golf Digest Mag with my check #[redacted], dated 11/15/2013 for $44.91. It seemed like a reasonable deal at the time as it was the same that I paid the last time. My recent magazine still has an expiration date of Mar 2014. I tried calling the company with the telephone number listed on the invoice and it turned out to be another business. I researched the company on the Yellow Pages and found a different telephone number. No one answered the telephone and couldn't leave a message as the answering machine was full. I noticed that there are other complaints with this company per the web.Desired Settlement: Either get the subscription updated or refund the money. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Review: On several occasions, I have contacted this business and asked them to stop sending solicitations to me as I am not interested in ordering any magazines through them, the most recent on 29 May 2013 via email, a copy of which I still have. In the final email from this business, the following message was received on 31 May 2013:

Dear [redacted],

your (sic) request has been processed.

Thank you,

Customer Service

I have now received yet another solicitation from this business and am hoping that going this route will get them to stop. If I understand correctly, once I have asked a business to stop communicating with me, by law they are required to do so. I shouldn't even have to take this step, but it appears they are relentless. I will contact the appropriate authorities should they continue, and if possible, sue them. This is my second to last resort.Desired Settlement: I want this business to stop contacting me, remove me from their mailing list permanently.

Thank you.

Review: I received a bill to renew a magazine I subscribe to (Men's Journal). I paid $59.97 for a 3 year renewal. The "real" company then sent me a renewal, and when I told them I already renewed for 3 years, Men's Journal told me that national publication service company is not affiliated with them, and cannot provide 3 years subscription to the magazine.I want my $59.97 returned to me.Desired Settlement: I would like the $59.97 immediately returned to me. I paid with a check.

Review: This company has an invalid email of [email protected] and a telephone number of ###-###-####; (automated/always busy). I want to be removed from their offer(s) for magazines. I am registered with Direct Marketing Asso. (DMA) and wonder why this company will not update their database? What law allows this company to continue to send this type of misleading offer?Desired Settlement: I do not want to ever receive any mail from this company for any type of offer.

Review: Compnay will not stop sending solicitations for magazines after writing them to remove my name from all their listings.Their advertising makes it appear they are the magazine publisher themselves, which they are absolutely misrepresenting themselves. The number they have on their materials is ficticious ###-###-####When you call this number you either get a message saying the person you reached is telling you this company is using their number and to dial ###-###-####.When I called that number I got the Marriot Hotel!Desired Settlement: Revdex.com should report this to CA State Attorney General or ahut this business down. Please help to have them not send me any advertising or make calls to my home.

Review: In April of 2014 I received an offer to renew by magazine subscription to WESTERN HORSEMAN. I sent a check to National Publication Services for $54 and my check cleared my bank on May 2, 2014. As of today I contacted Western Horseman and they have not received the money from NPS. I have tried numerous times to contact NPS and ask what they have done with my $54 and when you call their number you only get a message that the mailbox is full so there really isn't a way to contact the company.Desired Settlement: I want them to send the 3 year subscription order along with the required money to WESTERN HORSEMAN magazine so I can continue my subscription.
