After extensively speaking with a service representative from National Servicing Center about their loan modification, garauntee, and promises of " all money back at any time if unsure or dissatisfied", I finally agreed to move forward with the process and start making my monthly payments of $to begin my home loan modificationOver months later, National Servicing Center contacted me with the numbers of their finalized modification and I immediately turned them down and asked for a full refund due to the fact that they didn't accomplish anything they promised as far as lowering my current interest rate of 6.25% and they raised my monthly mortgage payment by $103.00! NSC disputed my request for a full refund several times but then offered me a partial refund and informed me that it would be sent to me within to business daysThe partial refund of $finally reached my home address about weeks laterThe day after I deposited the check into my personal account I was contacted by my bank to inform me that the check National Servicing Center had sent me had to be returned because it had been cancelled and that resulted in a $charge to my personal account for a "returned check fee"Due to my horrible encounter with National Servicing Center, not only did I loose $to this company for absolutely nothing in return, they also left me months behind on my mortgage payments and that cost me over $dollars to get my mortgage statement out of foreclosure to prevent from loosing my home!!! National Servicing Center has poor business ethics and even worse customer service and I feel that they tell potential customers anything to get their business and work as little as possible to earn the monies they overcharge their customers with absolutely no intention of refunds if customer dissatisfied as they promise!A full refund of $plus the $charge of the cancelled check that National Servicing Center sent me

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The modification I received from my Lender had absolutely NOTHING at all to do with any "documentation" provided by National Servicing Center I was told on more than one occasion by my Lender that there was no need to even involve a third-party such as National Servicing Center because their decision was based on Federal guidelines and the financials - which I provided - our income and ability to pay As a matter of fact, I provided copies of emails wherein one of National Servicing Center's representatives told me to "stop my direct deposits because they were going to submit documentation based solely on my husband's income." Not only was this illegal but National Servicing Center was putting me in a position to commit fraudWhen I confronted them about it, they immediately offered to change my representative & told me some ridiculous story about different programs they used to help homeowners The only program National Servicing Center used was INCOMPETENCE, FRAUD ON THE CONSUMER, and DECEPTION They outright lied from the onset, caused additional delays and made what was already a terrible situation much, much worse This company does nothing more than lie and provide deceitful tactics to very vulnerable homeowners They took complete advantage of our financial hardship by not delivering on their promise to reduce our monthly mortgage payment and even worse, by extorting money for services they did not provide The modification we eventually did receive was through MY EFFORTS and had nothing to do with National Servicing Center!!! Therefore, once again, the only fair way to resolve this matter would be to reimburse me for the monies I paid to National Servicing Center, a company who preys on the vulnerability and misfortune of others!!! After extensively speaking with a service representative from National Servicing Center about their loan modification, garauntee, and promises of " all money back at any time if unsure or dissatisfied", I finally agreed to move forward with the process and start making my 3 monthly payments of $858.33 to begin my home loan modification. Over 4 months later, National Servicing Center contacted me with the numbers of their finalized modification and I immediately turned them down and asked for a full refund due to the fact that they didn't accomplish anything they promised as far as lowering my current interest rate of 6.25% and they raised my monthly mortgage payment by $103.00! NSC disputed my request for a full refund several times but then offered me a partial refund and informed me that it would be sent to me within 7 to 10 business days. The partial refund of $1800.00 finally reached my home address about 6 weeks later. The day after I deposited the check into my personal account I was contacted by my bank to inform me that the check National Servicing Center had sent me had to be returned because it had been cancelled and that resulted in a $25.00 charge to my personal account for a "returned check fee". Due to my horrible encounter with National Servicing Center, not only did I loose $2574.99 to this company for absolutely nothing in return, they also left me 6 months behind on my mortgage payments and that cost me over $8000.00 dollars to get my mortgage statement out of foreclosure to prevent from loosing my home!!! I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Not only did I not accept the restructured payment agreement that National Servicing Center offered me I also did not receive a copy of the attached 13 page document nor sign it! As far as the good faith partial refund of $1800.00 that they offered me when I refused their restructured loan has yet to reach me after 4 weeks! National Servicing Center advised me that it would be sent to me within 2 to 3 weeks! This also is is very unacceptable customer service!

The modification I received from my Lender had absolutely NOTHING at all to do with any "documentation" provided by National Servicing Center.  I was told on more than one occasion by my Lender that there was no need to even involve a third-party such as National Servicing Center because their decision was based on Federal guidelines and the financials - which  I provided - our income and ability to pay.  As a matter of fact, I provided copies of emails wherein one of National Servicing Center's representatives told me to "stop my direct deposits because they were going to submit documentation based solely on my husband's income."  Not only was this illegal but National Servicing Center was putting me in a position to commit fraud. Review: I need this company to at least respond to phone calls. All calls are forwarded to a voice mail. My home is now in jeoparady of foreclose very soon. This company is supposed to be working on my loan modification. I already sent 1st payment to them in the amount of $1,125.00 + a fee of $150.00 for legal cost. They told me to file Bankruptcy also, which I did. They said it would be temporally. I am needing them to finish the job. The contact names I have been talking to are: [redacted]Desired Settlement: To save my home from foreclosere.

Review: Good morning, I was contacted by national servicing center via normal U.S. mail, about a loan modification for my mortgage back in early April. I called and was working with them to see if I was able to modify my loan, upon calling around I was advised to work with my current mortgage company. So on April 28th I contacted them and told them I didn't want to move forward with their services and asked for a refund of the $991.66 payment that I made. I was told by Elizabeth Cruz who is one of the supervisor that I had to talk to one of the managers who she put me in contact with Delilah Silva who told me they would give me back 841.66 based on the work they had already did on my file, which was basically nothing since I was not "approved" till the day before, but anyway I agreed and was told it would be 2-3 weeks until my refund was processed and sent out. On May 14th I emailed again asking the status of my refund in which I was sent an email saying it was taking longer than expected to process and they were working on resolving the issue as quickly as they could. Since then I have called numerous times left multiple messages and send 4 emails and have yet to get any reply at all. It's now June 1st, 5 weeks later from my original contact about the refund and still no check. I have yet to get a call or email back for almost 3 weeks now.Desired Settlement: I would like the $841.66 that I was told would be refunded to me in 2-3 weeks back on April 28th sent to me as soon as possible. It is bad business to give someone a time line and not meet it, also bad business to be left multiple message and sent multiple emails without a response at all.

Review: We paid National Servicing Center to help us file for a modification loan with our mortgage company. We signed an agreement that stated if we were denied the modification loan, we would get all our fees back (over $2000). We did everything they asked from us, from sending bank statements and paystubs every month to not talking to our mortgage company about the loan so we didn't jeopardize the loan. Not only did they NOT submit our application until 5 months after we signed the agreement, but they also filed false documents on our behalf stating my husband was self employed, filling out profit/loss papers (they also told us to sign our paperwork, then they would fill it out for us)when in fact, he is a wage earner. When we started getting forclosure notices from the mortgage co. National Serviving enter said that was routine and to not worry about it. We are now looking at our house going up for auction next week. Our application that they finally sent in, was denied. When l tried to call for a refund, they refused to call me back. I heard nothing for a full week. When l finally did hear from them, they said they could not issue us a refund because they "were having a problem with their bank". I have saved ALL our documents and emails if you need any documentation/communications.Desired Settlement: National Servicing Center uses icons/names to trick people into thinking they are a legitimate, trustworthy company, which is how we were fooled. They used Wells Fargo brand on the "ad" we got in the mail and they pass themselves off as an agency the gov't uses. The Treasury Dept has a warning on their website that National Servicing Center is using their eagle emblem without their permission but l don't know that they are doing anything about it. I don't want another person to lose their home like we are. We would not be losing our home if it weren't for what appears to be a scam. A settlement would help considerably toward the finacial difficulties we have accumulated because of this. It's more expensive to rent for our family of 6 than to stay in our home.

Review: I was contact by Mr. [redacted] on making home affordable Harp loan modification. In my conversation with Mr. [redacted], he stated he would work with my mortgage in getting me approve for a lower interest rate and he would be the contact person, but there would be a charge of $2,475.00 to process the loan application. The company had to have the fee before he could do anything. 2 month later Mr. [redacted] contacted me to inform me that the loan was approve. His instruction to me was not to have any contact with my mortgage company, his employer would handle and deal with the mortgage company. These employee are [redacted] senior loan processor fax #[redacted] case worker case #[redacted] fax # [redacted] she instructed me not to give any information to the mortgage she was dealing with the mortgage company and if I did they would no longer help me. I was also told not to make any more payment, the 3-4 month payment would be place on the back end of the loan. [redacted]. I had instruction to make my first payment on July 1, 2015. I did make the payment and that payment was send back to me. I call the mortgage company. The mortgage company told me no one talk to them and they have not heard of this company. I was a third part scam. I am on a fix income and I want to retrieve my money back from these horrible people who take advantage of seniors.Desired Settlement: This company have put me and my wife under a lot of pressure. All I want is my money back and to have this company put out of business.

Review: I paid National Servicing Center one of two payments in the amount of $1550 to help with mortagage modification. After several uncomfortable encounters and speaking with my bank I have intentially fail to send the second payment. However, if this company is legitimate I would like to know. I disclosed to them my bank was a private lender and they stated they would be able to assist me. I have spoke with my leander and they state they are not tied to the government and did not have to comply to the modification. If NSC is able to assist I need to know immediately and if not I need my $1550 back by June 30 2015 so that I am to save my home.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: Home modification completed or a complete refund of my money.

Review: In January 2015, I received a notice and eligibility code via mail from National Servicing Center indicating that it could reduce my monthly mortgage payment to $506, with a new fixed rate of 2% or 3%. I contacted the toll-free number and began the process to modify my home mortgage loan. On January 30th, the paperwork (including contract agreement) was submitted to [redacted] using the [redacted] envelope provided along with the requested fee of $3,995.00. I was assured by [redacted], and the contract agreement clearly states, that if the loan modification is declined by the lender, a full refund would be given. Once the initial paperwork and funds were submitted, I was told by [redacted] that the file was submitted to underwriting for processing and had been assigned to [redacted]. On February 10th, I sent [redacted] the additional documentation requested to process the loan modification (bank statements, tax returns, pay stubs, mortgage statements). On February 18th, I sent [redacted] a f/u e-mail and voice message regarding the status of the loan modification and to ascertain if additional documentation was needed. No response! When I finally got through to a live person, I spoke to [redacted] who assured me the file was submitted to my lender, NationStar Mortgage. Incidentally, I contacted my lender directly and they informed me that they had not received the documentation and had no idea who National Servicing Center was. I knew I was in trouble at this point, but they had already cashed the $3,995.00. On March 5, 6 and 10, I sent f/u e-mails and voice messages to [redacted] begging for the status of my loan modification, and all attempts were ignored! I contacted [redacted] on March 10th, to complain about the lack of f/u and return phone calls from anyone. It was only then I received an e-mail from [redacted] stating that the file was in review and an escrow analysis was requested (See below for Cont. of Tell Us About Your Problem).Desired Settlement: I request a full refund of $3,995.00 according to the Agreement between the parties dated January 29, 2015.

(Cont. from Tell Us About Your Problem): On March 20th, I sent a f/u e-mail and voice message to [redacted] regarding the status once again. No response! On April 7th, I called and requested to speak to a supervisor. I spoke to [redacted], Dept. Mgr. She indicated that the loan modification was not accepted because my lender did not participate in loan modifications, that a refund would be given on April 29th, and to call back on that date to get the [redacted] tracking information. I tried to contact Ms. [redacted] on April 29th by e-mail and voice message, she did not respond to either. Common practice for this company! Amazingly, I got through to Ms. [redacted] on April 30th and she indicated that there was a problem with [redacted] and the refund would not be issued until May 13th. I attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] on March 13th via e-mail and voice message. No response! I contacted National Servicing Center on May 14th (after e-mailing and voice message to Ms. [redacted]) and asked to speak to Ms. [redacted] supervisor. No one at the company could tell me who that was. Ms. [redacted] returned my phone call on May 14th indicating that the refund would not be issued because the company’s accounts had been closed due to fraud and she could not tell me when a refund would be issued. This company is a complete fraud and its employees are incompetent to say the least. I am also reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission. I have since learned that it is against the law for a company that provides mortgage relief services to charge a fee before it has given the consumer a written offer from their lender and the consumer has approved the offer. If any consumer is reading this complaint, please do not be duped by National Servicing Center. I feel like such a fool!

Review: National Servicing Center requires money up front before services are rendered with the promise of money back guarantee at any time during the modification process or if the customer is unhappy with results that come from the modification process. Because I was promised this during my first call to the company, this is literally the only reason I chose to move forward and retain their services. I am also very dissatisfied with their punctuality in handling my file, I was told that loan modifications are a lengthy process but feel that 5 months is a little excessive and this is why I am currently 6 months behind on my mortgage payments. My loan processor, [redacted], was never available to me when I called with questions or concerns about my case or its current status. I would always get her voicemail or her assistants voicemail. I only received a total of 4 phone calls from Ms. [redacted] from November 2014 thru March 20,2015 not to update me but to request more information from me, information that I feel I had already submitted to her previously. National Servicing Center advertised to me that they could get me between 2% to 3% interest rate,"definitely an interest rate lower than my current 6.25% interest rate and lower my monthly payment by at least $100 if not more". In the end, all they could offer me on my loan modification was that they could not lower my current 6.25% interest rate and my monthly mortgage payment was raised $103 a month. Needless to say I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with their efforts to modify my home loan and asked for a full refund. National Servicing Center has denied me on several requests for a full refund and offered me a partial refund so they can be "compensated for work that they have done for me on my case". I was promised a full refund at any time during the modification process from the first phone call I made to National Servicing Center and this is obviously NOT TRUE or NOT going to happen!Desired Settlement: I was told I would receive a full refund at anytime during the modification process if I was unsure or unhappy with their services so I would like to receive a full refund. I made 3 payments of $858.33 to National Servicing Center with a grand total of $2574.99 and would like this full amount refunded to me. They offered me a partial refund of only $1800.00 but this is unacceptable for the very reason that I was told I would be fully refunded if unhappy with the outcome of the modification. Because National Servicing Center took so much time to work my case I am currently 6 months behind on my mortgage payments with damages totaling over $4600.00. I simply requested a full refund of all my monies to better help myself repair the back payments I now owe my mortgage company caused by National Servicing Center.

Review: I have been "working" with the National Servicing Center for a year now. I paid them approximately $4200 to receive a loan modification on my home. I became unemployed in January and was told by this company not to inform my lender because they would cancel any chance of a modification. They told me that when I received 30 days of pay stubs to send in all of my information and that we would go from there. When I received a full months worth of pay stubs I emailed all of my information to them. I waited for a phone call to confirm they received the information and when I did not receive a call I tried to contact them. They had blocked my number from being able to call, I borrowed my boyfriends phone and called and left a message but they have not returned my phone calls. I am losing my home because of the advice they gave me and we do not have enough money to move due to my recent unemployment. I am very unsatisfied and disgusted with these people that they would prey on people who are losing their homes.Desired Settlement: I would like all of the money we paid to them refunded so we can afford to move and rent a place. I think this is deserved since I went by their advice and made no payments to my mortgage company and I am now losing my home. It is set to go up for auction on September 11, 2015 and we have no idea what we are going to do.

Review: I have been dealing with the above mentioned company since November of 2014 regarding a loan modification. I have already paid them almost $4000.00 which they have received and cashed. And now I have my loan company calling me and no one from national servicing seems to ever return my calls or mails. I have been trying to contact them for over a month now and don't know what else to do.
