National Servicing Center Reviews (34)

Review: After speaking to a case manager from the National Servicing Center about being eligible for a loan modification I was told that if approved I could reduce my mortgage payment by approximately three hundred dollars. I was told by the case manager that if denied I would receive a refund. I then asked if it would be a full refund and after beating around the bush the case manager finally stated that I would receive a full refund if denied. That is the whole reason why I retained their services for the guarantee of the full amount of a refund if the modification was denied. I then proceeded to forward documents needed for the modification application to NSC which then forwarded to my mortgage lender. I then made two payments of $1387.50 for a total of $2775 and waited to see if the modification would be approved. If approved I would then make three consecutive payments of the new mortgage payment amount as a "trial period". When I didn't hear from the loan processor to see if I was approved I then attempted numerous times to contact NSC and got no response to my phone calls or e-mails just voicemail boxes.

I then contacted my mortgage lender to see if they had been contacted by NSC and was told that they had received documents for my modification but some documents were outdated and needed to be updated. I then took it upon myself since NSC apparently was no longer assisting me in the process to update my documents and forward them to the mortgage lender. Weeks later I was notified that my request was denied by the lender and put me approx. six months behind making mortgage payments. Needless to say that I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with the National Servicing Center for promising me a full refund if denied. They didn't fulfill their end of the agreement and left me hanging to continue the process on my own. I was promised that there would be a FULL refund if denied and apparently this was NOT TRUE !!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I was told I would receive a full refund if denied. So I would like to receive a full refund. I made 2 payments of $1387.50 for a total of $2775.00 and would like this full amount refunded to me. Because National Servicing Center took so much time to work my case I am currently 6 months behind on my mortgage payments with accumulating late fees that exceed $1500.00. I am simply requesting a full refund to help me with the back payments I now owe my mortgage lender caused by National Servicing Center.

Review: National Servicing Center, contacted me in February 2015 to take over my mortgage loan. This would be to full out the loan modification paper, including a list of addition documents. In addition I would pay National Servicing Center a closing cost of 1,575.00 in which would be refunded when the liner (Nationstar) declines my modification. At this time Nationstar has decline my loan modification. I have the agreement stating a refund would be provided. National Servicing Center has not responded to my fax, emails, and phone call. I have been trying to contact this company for month without success. My bank is unable to dispute this transacton, because payment was made with moneyorders.Desired Settlement: refund for $1575.00 as per agreement

Review: I recieved a letter in the mail from National Servicing Center stating they could do a loan modification for both my 1st and 2nd mortgage. I called and started the process. They said I qualified for 2% on both loans. I filled out all the paperwork via email and fax. They wanted $4500 up front for all fees and promise services. Once they recieved and cashed the checks I got a letter saying it was all done and I could contact both my mortgage companies. This mind you was over 5 months later. Along with the fact they said to stop paying both mortgages right away. Once I recieved the letter to contact the company's both midland and usaa said they have never spokane at anytime to anyone concerning the loans being modified. I sent numerical emails to NSC and never recieved a response. I've called and left numerous messages. Now non of the emails are even active and all denied and sent back to me. Midland and usaa plus my credit union told me the unfortunate truth that I was scammed out of my hard earned money. This company has disappeared off the face of the earth with all my money. ??Desired Settlement: I know the sad truth is I was preyed apoun by this company. I will most likely never see a dime of my money that was supposed to be used to save my house because of them. So with this I don't even know what kind of outcome I could ever expect. An email from them with a sincere apology for stealing my money and leaving me hanging? I know they don't care.

Review: I received an advertisement card in the mail from National servicing center stating that they could help lower my monthly mortgage payment to $900.00 per month. I contacted them and spoke with [redacted] who told me that the company could help me. They requested "closing cost" fees of $3,976.00, which I made in four monthly payments of $994.00. I deposited the money in an account at Bank of America. I can provide that account number. They advised me to stop all contact with my lender and also to stop making my monthly payment. I did as they advised. I would send emails every week requesting status of modification, but would get short responses every time. I would call and they would rarely answer. I have several emails between myself and numerous people from this company. In the contract that I signed it states that a complete refund would be issued if modification was denied. I also have an email from [redacted] stating that also. National servicing center called me and informed me that my lender in fact denied my modification. I asked them when they would be refunding my money and they informed me that they could do an appeal. So I told them to go ahead and do the appeal. That was the last I heard from them. A notice of sale was taped to my door 2 weeks later. I immediately sent an email to [redacted] who did not respond. I called numerous times and left numerous messages, but got no response. Fortunately, I was able to contact a realtor and postpone sale date and sell my home. I am currently in escrow. I still have yet to hear back from these crooks! I continue to call and send emails, but get no response.Desired Settlement: I would like my $3,976.00 returned immediately and this company shut down so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I have contacted a lawyer to possibly sue these basted for the price of my home. Since they're the reason I was forced to sell. National servicing center needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!!

Review: we contacted this company a few months ago and they said they could help us I had to send them over 3 thousand dollars for closing cost so they said and I was told by two different people from that company that if we were not approved we would get our money back that we sent them I have tried to call numerous times and cant get through or they send me to a voicemail and no one returns your calls I have emailed [redacted] and [redacted] and still no response and we were denied and all I want is my money back they they promised I would get back we don't have that kind of money to just give away and we would not have done it if I new they were false advertising this company is a joke and I would never recommend them to any one all I want is a refund like I was told we would get by [redacted] and mark the original guy we dealt with please I need someone to contact me so we can get resolved.Desired Settlement: a full refund like we were told by 2 different people from this company

Review: We engaged the services of National Servicing Center to assist with the modification / restructuring of our delinquent mortgage loan. This company completely misrepresented their ability to help us, lied to us, caused further delay of an already bad situation, caused us irreparable harm by taking complete advantage of our dire circumstances and most important of all -- extorted money from us for services NOT rendered.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive full reimbursement of the monies paid to National Servicing Center.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The modification I received from my Lender had absolutely NOTHING at all to do with any "documentation" provided by National Servicing Center. I was told on more than one occasion by my Lender that there was no need to even involve a third-party such as National Servicing Center because their decision was based on Federal guidelines and the financials - which I provided - our income and ability to pay. As a matter of fact, I provided copies of emails wherein one of National Servicing Center's representatives told me to "stop my direct deposits because they were going to submit documentation based solely on my husband's income." Not only was this illegal but National Servicing Center was putting me in a position to commit fraud. When I confronted them about it, they immediately offered to change my representative & told me some ridiculous story about different programs they used to help homeowners. The only program National Servicing Center used was INCOMPETENCE, FRAUD ON THE CONSUMER, and DECEPTION. They outright lied from the onset, caused additional delays and made what was already a terrible situation much, much worse. This company does nothing more than lie and provide deceitful tactics to very vulnerable homeowners. They took complete advantage of our financial hardship by not delivering on their promise to reduce our monthly mortgage payment and even worse, by extorting money for services they did not provide. The modification we eventually did receive was through MY EFFORTS and had nothing to do with National Servicing Center!!! Therefore, once again, the only fair way to resolve this matter would be to reimburse me for the monies I paid to National Servicing Center, a company who preys on the vulnerability and misfortune of others!!!

Review: I received a letter in the mail stating that my mortgage qualified for a fixed rate of 2%. I called the phone number provided and spoke with [redacted] who helped me through the entire process. I faxed him paper work, check stubs, w2 information and bank statements. He said I was approved. A couple of days later I received a call from [redacted] stating she was callinf from my mortgage company to complete the process of the loan. I sent her all the same information as above. I received a call from her stating that they could not approve the loan with my husband income on the loan. In the mean time I received a call from my mortgage company stating they had not received my payment for December and I explained what I was going through and they had not receive any word from National serving center stating what they were doing with my mortgage. As a matter of fact it was my mortgage company who told me that I had been taken advantage of and they did not even know anything about this company. I have made every attempt to get my money back and they refused to reutn my $991.66 back stating that I had cancelled my contract when they were the one who would not process the contract and just wanted my money. Until this day they owe me $991.66. Enclosed is all the phone numbers and names that I have along with the so call contract that they sent me. Please I do need your assistance in this matter as soon as possible. I have all correspondence that was sent from that company to me. I even have a copy of the red ex label when I sent my money. These are available if you would like to see them. Also, I have contacted my attorney in this case.Desired Settlement: $991.66

National Servicing Center ID [redacted]2112 E 4th St #230Santa Ana CA 92705Revdex.comWe have received and reviewed client complaint. After Careful review we have come to a mutualagreement on a settlement to the complaint. It seems that some program guidelines had changedthrough the course of processing the clients file.It is National Servicing Center' s policy when a client opts out of the program not to issue any type ofrefund. Refunds are only processed for claims when a file was unsuccessfully submitted to their lender. We are happy to have n~solved this complaint with Client on 1/22/15. Should there be any additionalconcerns or questions we are more than happy to review and respond.Regards,National Servicing Center.

Review: Initially, we were pleased with the "Eligibility Confirmation" we were sent on March 5th 2015. This document stated that we were confirmed for a Traditional Home Modification Program which they claim is a "Federal Program introduced by the Obama Administration which is intended to help stabilize the housing market and help struggling homeowners get relief and avoid FORCLOSURE." It also referenced the Troubled Asset Relief Fund(TARP). This form showed that our mortgage payment would be reduced from $1475.36 to $1125 each month. We were instructed to not pay our March and April payments and would start the new payments on June 1st. Each of the documents we have received as well as the emails, all include the official MAKING HOME AFFORDABLE, THE NEW HOME AFFORDABLE REFINANCE PROGRAM and HOME AFFORDABLE FORCLOSURE ALTERNATIVES logos suggesting an affiliation with these and other government agencies. In phone calls, these were referenced as well. After paying $3975 them for the processing of the documents to make this modification to our loan, we have not received any legitimate communication and certainly have not seen the suggested restructure to our loan. They made it very clear not to speak to our lender throughout the process at it may confuse and slow things down. They will not answer the phone at any of the 4 phone numbers I have and will not return voicemails. Their website , NATIONALSERVICINGCENTER.NET, is no longer up as well. So, we are out $3975, we are 2 months more behind on our mortgage and they have obviously not attempted to make any modifications to our loan as they suggested in the "Eligibility Confirmation". This is FRAUD and we fell victim.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund. Based on their communication, we ended up 2 more months behind on our mortgage. Ideally they would pay all or part of these 2 months mortgage payments as damages.

Review: Filed forassistance with mortgage APR and to have my amount lower, and to avoid foreclosure. They have not contacted me in 3 weeks regarding my status so I do not lose my property,I would like to finish services pd for.Desired Settlement: To avoid foreclosure and promised decrease of lower monthly payments.

Review: My husband and I received a card in the mail saying that we were eligible for a fixed modification rate of 2%. This could not have come at a better time as my husband had been recently laid off from his job and we have three kids to take care of.. (Our middle child has significant medical issues and receives regular medical care.) After contacting National Servicing Center, they took all of our information and told us about their up front fees. We paid them $2075 over a two month period. After they received their fees, I heard from this company a total of 4 times by phone and a few times via email after I told them I would contact the Revdex.com. As of now, I have not heard from anyone at this company in three weeks. I have called 4 times, leaving voicemails each time and have yet to receive a call back. I have also sent three emails to National Servicing Center asking for a refund to which they have not replied. It is so sad that these people sleep at night knowing they are preying on homeowners at their lowest points. They are taking advantage of and deceiving people to fill their own wallets.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund of the fees I paid. $2075 I have already asked for this via phone and email directly with no response from national servicing center. I am currently behind over $5000 on my mortgage. I need this money to hand over to them. This, I feel, is the least that they can do for their poor customer service and lack of providing the services that they guaranteed. National Servicing center claims to have a 100% money back guarantee. Lets see if they stand by anything they say....unfortunately, I'm doubtful!

Review: April of 2014 we where looking into doing a home modification. We reached out to our current lender Bank of America and was having a little bit of difficulties understanding the process. During the process a couple months later received a letter from national servicing center about what they could do for us to lower our monthly mortgage payments and get our mortgage up to date. My husband and I researched the company and decided to go with them to get our loan modification, under the impression that they would be in communication with our current lender. What we needed to do was send 3 consecutive payments to national servicing center of 996, for modification to be approved along with bank statements, pays tubs and several other requested documents ,Which of course we did, and sent the 3 payments in dec, jan, and February. I was in contact with them through the entire process, and there where some conversations that where very concerning to me because my current lender was still calling me and there was no communication between the 2. National servicing center kept advising me because they Are a 3rd party to ignore my current lender and that the underwriters where still making a decision, and that it's a long process, Which was very skeptical, but made some sense. After the 3 pmts where made and a few conversations I received a voicemail stating that modification was approved and we will be receiving statement in June for our first new payment. We did not receive so I decided to contact Bank of America, current lender, they stated there was no payments put towards my loan and nor did the loan get released to anyone else. So I want to know where those payments went and to whom. I have made several contacts to national servicing center left voicemails and no phone calls back.Desired Settlement: Money that was paid to be refunded or paid to current lender [redacted]. So we don't lose our home...

Review: I got involved (mailing) with a company that advertises for home modification assistance. We signed and sent all requested paperwork to them with two checks for $1,587.50 each, of which they cashed one. On further research with HUD we realized that we could have done this through our current provider at no cost to us and that we may be involved in a scam. I requested several times a refund of the check they cashed and was told that they would be deducting $400.00 and it would take 3 to 4 weeks to get our partial refund. I explained to them that a partial refund was not acceptable and it should not take 4 weeks. I have gotten nowhere with them. My wife and I are on a very limited income (Social Security) and cannot afford to have these funds tied up, especially being two months behind on our mortgage. Its now been 4 weeks and they still have now sent the refund. Ikeep leaving messages with no replies. We are desperate at this point.Desired Settlement: Full refund asap.

Review: National Servicing Center guaranteed me in writing that I would receive a 2%-3% loan modification if I would provide them with information as well as approximately $3700.00 to eliminate my past due loan amount and change my interest rate from 7% to the above rate. I provided NSC with all requests and made my three monthly payments of $1233.33 by February 2015. NSC then processed my loan information to the mortgage company.

After providing them with all of the information, my loan modification was denied on April 15, 2015 by mail from my loan company.

I contacted the supervisor ([redacted]) on April 20, 2015 and requested my money back.. She told me that they would keep approximately $500 and would send back the remainder in three weeks.

I have made numerous calls to Delilah and other members of NSC as well as sent them emails requesting someone to get back to me to explain what took place and when I would receive my money back.

As of June 18, 2015, NSC has made no attempts to send my money or respond back to what has happened. NSC is not getting back to me and have been very irresponsible in keeping my money and not helping me secure a new loan.Desired Settlement: To receive a full refund of $3700.00 due to National Servicing Center (NSC) not providing me with a loan modification at a rate of 2% to 3% as the NSC representative stated she would do. NSC did nothing to get me a loan modification and they have kept my money for two months without responding to my calls and emails.

Review: They promised to get my loan refinanced if they could not my money would be returned. It has been over 6months and no refi .I can't get through to them there phones are disconnected or always busy.Desired Settlement: Refund
