National Warranty Corporation Reviews (39)

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like to add the response as described by the representative from National Warranty Corp does not match the responses that I have been receiving from the repair facility that has been in contacting me on a weekly basis up to this point. Between National, the selling dealer, and the repair facility I rarely if ever receive a same response to my questions from the three agencies which makes this whole process seem untrustworthy and deceptive. I have however contacted the repair facility since receiving this message and it was confirmed that to their knowledge parts had been ordered for the engine repair. The repair process is now in day 60.Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear Sir or Madam, This claim for repair was denied as the failure to the engine was due to sludge buildup which is not covered per the terms and conditions of the service contract. Mr. [redacted] contacted us and asked that we review the claim file. I reviewed the claim file and agreed that this was...

not a covered failure. As this was a recent sale the resolution for coverage should have been between Mr. [redacted] and his selling dealer. However, National Warranty agreed to step in and we contacted the dealer on Mr. [redacted] behalf and we agreed to help in the cost of the repair with the dealer. Mr. [redacted] was informed of the assistance of both parties and that the selling dealer wanted his repair facility to make the repair in order to keep costs down. It took the repair facility some time to get the disabled vehicle towed to their shop. At no time did National Warranty state that they were supplying an engine for repair. The repair facility informed us that they had found a used engine and we agreed to that repair. It has been difficult to make contact with the repair facility, please see attached claim notes. We have made every attempt to keep this repair moving forward including responses to Mr. [redacted]. After we were finalizing the used engine costs we were informed that there would be no labor warranty for the engine. That is not acceptable so now we had to look at alternatives. The repair facility informed us that they could repair the engine and provide a parts and labor warranty and that’s where we are today. They have ordered parts for the engine and we are waiting for them to arrive. This repair for Mr. [redacted] has been approved and we apologize for any delays but because of the unusual circumstances of this repair some of them could not be avoided. Sincerely, Paul D[redacted] Director, Claim National Warranty Corporation

National Warranty Corporation will continue its efforts to identify the companies or marketers behind the calls and will do everything possible to have the calls stopped.  If you can provide us with any information that may help in eliminating these calls please contact Suzanne M[redacted], our legal counsel, at [redacted].

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The issue of a bad VVTI valve was discovered before any oil change record discrepancies. We brought this issue to the service technician at 80k; therefore the part was bad previous to any oil change record discrepancies. Please review recorded submitted to National Warranty from Lexus of Seattle. This is not a new issue, it was finally diagnosed and NWC is using missing records as a way of denying the claim and keeping our money. If denial of claim continues I expect a prorated refund of warranty from date of 80k service.Sincerely,[redacted]

The claim for Mr. [redacted]’s engine repair was denied based on the cause of failure.  It was reported by the repair facility that the engine had no compression in the #3 cylinder combustion chamber.  Upon further diagnosis and disassembly they found the spark plug electrode for the...

#3 cylinder had broken off. Impact marks are seen on the piston top from the broken electrode before becoming lodged between the intake valve and seat. An independent inspection company was assigned to verify cause of failure and extent of damage.  The #3 spark plug failure has caused the valve not to be able to close, allowing compression loss and the failure of the #3 rocker arm on top of this valve.

Please see page four of the vehicle service contract under section VII. What Is Not Covered, for the exclusion of spark plugs and section VII. What Is Not Covered 1.a. damage to a covered part caused by a non-covered part.

Based on the language in the vehicle service contract and a review of the failure I find that the claim was properly adjudicated.  I regret that we will not be able to assist with the repair.

Sincerely,

Dear Sir or Madam: The claim for Ms. [redacted]’s engine repair requires that maintenance receipts be provided showing that the vehicle has been maintained in accordance with the manufacture’s guidelines. Please see the service contract under VIII. GENERAL PROVISIONS, page five section D. WHAT YOUR...

RESPONSIBILITIES ARE. In this process we did not receive the needed records to validate manufacture’s recommended maintenance had been performed. On December 8, 2015 we were supplied with maintenance receipts for only half of the required intervals of service needed. In a conversation with Ms. [redacted] on Jan. 18th, she explained that Dennis Dillon service department had recommended that she have the work done and seek reimbursement from National Warranty after she had all of her records. She authorized the repairs, contrary to the procedures for filing a claim as indicated on page two of the service contract under “HOW TO SUBMIT A CLAIM”. Ms. [redacted] should have contacted our office for instruction. On a claim of this nature a field inspector would have been dispatched to confirm the failure and to evaluate the cause and extent of the damage. By Ms. [redacted] authorizing repairs without our knowledge we were not able to validate failures or adjudicate the claim as per terms of this agreement. When necessary and cost effective we may have also supplied parts for this repair had it been determined to be covered. On January 27th Ms. [redacted] provided the remaining five additional maintenance receipts after the repairs were completed. After review of all the receipts provided, there are two oil changes that are more than 2,000 miles over due from the factory recommended intervals. Based on the language in the vehicle service contract and a review of the failure I find that the claim was properly adjudicated. However, National Warranty will consider splitting the total cost of repairs with Ms. [redacted] as a goodwill gesture. If Ms. [redacted] agrees to this decision please advise her to call our office. Sincerely,
