Ok I will also state the original purchase price of the vehicle was $out the doorWhen we realized we of course had a major lemon of a car with major drive train issues they only would only refund $as shown attachedThis car Had a point inspection and a mile warranty so I was sold a car under extremely wrong sitings! If I returned the car why shouldn’t I receive my full money back especially when they are clearly at fault for selling a vehicle that has so many issues that were definitely not disclosed! Why should they be able to collect sales tax yet again on this vehicle when they stick someone else with itJust not ethical or moral! Their is obviously the final service invoice that I do not have due to the fact I never picked vehicle up we had then decided on the returnI will also say they made very little attempt to even find me something else when I was literally stuck at this point without a car and without $to go towards another purchase! Please let me know If anything further is needed! My address listed on the account needs to be corrected as well my address is noted belowThank you so much for your help in this matter!*** *** *** Drive *** SC

Hendrick Honda *** met with and listened to concerns and requests of the customerOur decision is to repair the vehicle

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. The Hendricks salesman knew I needed the new car for a trip that weekend and told me he would have a silver CRV delivered the next day IF I gave them the $They did not have a vehicle for me the next afternoon or even hours later
They should not be allowed to promise delivery of a vehicle by a certain time IF someone gives them money to do so and they don't honor their promiseI would have purchased elsewhere if I would have been told they couldn't guarantee the vehicle would be delivered by Friday Oct9th.
Since it was the end of a model year I was afraid finding the color/model CRV I wanted would be hard and I might have to wait on the 2016's or settle for some other I didn't like so I sought out the vehicle I wanted and purchased it when they failed to deliver on their promise
Regards,*** ***

We choose to remain with our original response for the reasons previously cited.*** ***Hendrick Honda Easley

ease understand I never asked for the problems to be fixed because at this point I realized the car had most definitely not had any kind of inspection as stated and I immediately told them having this car wasn’t an option for meI bought a car that had a point inspection and was supposed to be a good running car this wasn’t the case! Why should I the customer have to pay any expenses when I was sold a product that was supposedly in great shapeWhy did I have to take a $loss? For their errorI’m sure If they sell this lemon to someone else they will collect sales tax yet again how in the world is that legal? Also when they told me about the problem with the vehicle concerning the major oil usuage problem they had no clue what was causing it but did change they valves in hopes of it fixing the problem but I would actually have to drive it in order to even see if it was fixedThat in itself if unacceptable and dangerous another reason why I didn’t want the car at all at this pointThey owe Be exactly the money that I put into this vehicle

The paint issue is being resolved as a warranty issue by American HondaThere is no provision in the recall for temporary transportation, ergo the response from the body shop chosen to provide the remedy Likewise, there is no provision by the manufacturer to the selling dealer. We recommend
that Ms*** contact American Honda for assistance

Our response is based upon Hendrick Honda Easley's policy regarding partial payments
Partial Payment vsDeposit
The $dollars in dispute is a "partial payment" toward an agreed purchase price which is documented in the purchase order signed by the customer Is in not
a "deposit"
Per policy the partial payment in non-refundable except in the case that financing cannot be approvedThis is not the case with *** *** as she chose to not honor the purchase agreement and purchased elsewhere
Time to locate a vehicle
Hendrick Honda Easley "Dealer Trades" with may Honda dealerships Whom we choose to exchange with is a function of many factors that balances the needs of the customer and cost to the dealer Although we strive to expedite the process there is no contractual agreement as to when the purchased vehicle will be ready for delivery
Therefore; Hendrick Honda Easley chooses to exercise their right to retain the partial payment of $

The dealer offered options to satisfy Mrs*** since she was unhappy with the vehicle she purchased 1. Trade the vehicle for another vehicle in dealer inventory2. Dealership purchase Mrs*** vehicle back for the full purchase price minus States Tax that is paid to the State of South Carolina, Tag Fees that are paid to the State of South Carolina, and the State approved Closing Fee Mrs*** could not find a vehicle in inventory that would work for her budget, so she decided to take the option of the dealer purchasing her vehicle back

*** *** My point from the beginning was that I should not nor any customer have to come out of pocket for any expenses when it was obvious I was sold a very much lemon of a carWhy should I not get the full price back? I transferred my tag meaning there wasn’t any leg work needed for that at time of purchase and I paid the sales tax as wellAfter complaining about these issues literally days after the purchase the whole amount should have been returned to meIt’s not like I changed my mind on the cari had to make the choice to take the money in order to find a decent vehicle to driveMy budget was not hard to locate another car they just refused to look anywhere but there lot as a transfer would cost them They also wouldn’t budge on any of their cars to even assist with my loss even if they had oneTrust me finding anyone to even help me with another car was a challenge in itselfThur has no interest in me as a customer or making this rightThey feel that I should loose sales tax when they will obviously collect it again once the vehicle sells again and they will collect their fees again tooSuch a terrible way to handle customers and the purchase of a supposedly point inspected and warranty vehicle$isn’t fun to looose especially when it’s no way your fault you had to even return the lemon vehicle in the first placeThis should have been handled as a defective product and I should have received a full refund as anyone would do that puts customers first! This isn’t ethical and morally wrong! I will ask that this company make it right and give me a full refund of the total out the door price which is what was negotiated at the time of sellThis is wrong this is absolutely wrongI would hope the Revdex.com would see these errors and make a decision based on what is right and ethicalDon’t let this company make double money off lemon when they attempt to push it off on another innocent personKeep in mind I did not buy a As Is car I bought one that was promised to be inspected throughout and with a warrrantyThis car didn’t have minor issues after diagnosis it had Drive train issues this is seriously on the company not meI have now paid sales tax on a car I didn’t even drive but a couple weeks the rest of the time it was in serviceWhat’s even worse is I had to purchase another car and pay sales tax yet again! See I don’t mind that because I actually kept this vehicle it actually is a good car thankfully there are some honest car companies out there

Hendrick Honda Easley's policy regarding the securing of a vehicle for a customer is to accept a partial payment. This partial payment is applied to the final sales price and is shown as a cash down payment on the final sales documentation. This is done only after the customer
agrees to the purchase terms (as evidenced by their signature) defined in the Retail Purchase Order ; and the agreement to make a partial payment as evidenced by their signature on the Partial Payment Agreement form. The partial payment is defined on the form as a non-refundable partial payment. The exception is if financing cannot be approved. See copies of the Retail Purchase Order and Partial Payment Agreements both signed by *** ***(CC number has been redacted)Our action plan is to seek resolution directly with the customer

complaint.
Regards,
Russell R[redacted]I was never "met" with to discuss the repairs of the vehicle. I was told thru an email by Jerome Truhn, after I sent an email requesting someone from management to contact me about the situation. Email from 10/31/2016 @ 11:29 am stating they would contact me when the repairs are made to the vehicle. The other, most interesting thing about all of this came with a phone call from the dealership on Tuesday, November 1st. Mike, the used car director at Hendrick Honda.. He left me a voice message stating they have looked at the car and made the following repairs:*New Fuel Pump*New WindshieldNow, I was told by Jerome on the day of delivery of the vehicle from Concord NC that the delay of the vehicle arriving was because the vehicle wouldn't make it, so they decided to replace the fuel pump. After the vehicle arrived and I waited for it, I was told it had more issues, and they were working on getting everything fixed. And the last part of this is when I finally test drove the vehicle on Friday, October 28 @ approx. 8:00pm, I was told by Jerome that "everything is repaired, they replaced the fuel pump and everything seems to be running good". So, which is it? You said the dealership in Concord replaced the fuel pump, but didn't. You stated again before I test drove it, that Hendrick Honda Easley replaced the fuel pump... but didn't. Not until Tuesday, November 1st was the fuel pump ever replaced. The bottom line is that you brought in a car that needed repair, a car I paid $500 for you to do so. It needed repairs. You didn't do the repairs (fuel pump) that you stated you did, before sending me home with the car October 28th, with 1 hour drive to home. You, as my salesman and dealership LIED, twice... I have witnesses on both occasions. the first witness was with me when I first arrived... Joshua Roach of Seneca South Carolina. The second witness with me when I took a test drive was Kevin Fender, from Hendersonville North Carolina. Now, I'm asking you as the person (s) reading this and responding, and also the public that will read this message... would you be happy with what has been provided from a dealership, one that is very large, and has a huge network of dealers? I have been taken advantage of, both in money paying for a car that needed work, but also by you, a dealer I come to to buy a car, and one that ends up making me out to be a fool.  Refund in full, Requested.

This complaint  was addressed earlier in the year.  Hendrick Honda Easley has no response different from the original

On August 17, 2015 [redacted] brought his 2007 Accord at 136,410 miles in for the airbag recall.  We were able to complete the driver side but not the passenger side because the glove box would not unlock. (must access for repair).  Customer was unable to open and he agreed to return...

when it could be. Damage was noticed around the glove box as if someone had previously attempted to pry the glove box open.  [redacted] agreed to repair the glove box door if it became necessary to force the door open but that any other damage would be the the customer's responsibility.  When the customer returned on the 27th, the box was still unable to open from the front.  The technician was able to open from the back without force and complete the repair. In as much as the area around the glove box had visible damage on the first visit of the 17th, and that the repair was able to be done without forced opening of the door; Hendrick Honda Easley declines to make any repairs to the dash.As concerns the intermittent problem with the radio, there is no cause and effect relationship to the repairs that were done. Hendrick Honda Easley does not accept responsibility.  Thank you [redacted]

RE[redacted]I apologize that the experience [redacted] had at Hendrick Honda Easley was less that expected. She has been contacted and the problem is resolved. The event was discussed in our management meeting this morning and likely causes identified.  A corrective action plan will...

be put in place to ensure future incidents like this are handled in a timely and satisfactory manner. Sincerely,[redacted], General ManagerHendrick Honda Easley

The service department is currently inspecting the transmission.  Will have final decision once inspection is done

I had no problems with the radio until they fixed airbag and the dash was not damaged on the front when I took it to them it was scratched on the side.  They are liars I will not return to Hendrick honda for any more service.

He was not denied financing. See attached approval notice.  The customer opted to back out of the deal.

A check payable to the customer for $150 to be used at her discretion is being processed.  It will be mailed to her.
