Nationwide Credit Corporation Reviews (27)

Review: NCC is a collection agency which operates in violation of FDCPA. NCC has been reporting $365.00 to all [redacted] bureaus as a collection account. This is no a valid debt and NCC has failed to provide me with validation of debt of 3 occasions.

1-NCC has never sent me any correspondence. I noticed their information on my [redacted] report. They claim they have sent me letters, however this is false and they have also failed to provide proof of correspondence such as certified mail, mail with tracking, etc. A claim must be backed up with evidence.

2- I have requested a validation of debt/proof of debt on 3 occasions and they have failed to send me anything. NCC also does not seem to understand what a validation of debt is (legally). A letter that says "you have to give us $365.00 or else, is not a validation of debt.

3- I have no business or contract with NCC

4- The alleged original creditor ( [redacted] union) has no knowledge of NCC. Since I knew that I never owed [redacted] when I banked with them, I called to verify what was going on. To summarize, [redacted] had no knowledge of NCC and why they would be requesting $365.00.Desired Settlement: Remove this frivolous, baseless, fabricated debt from my 3 credit reports immediately.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: I continue to receive debt collection calls from Nationwide Credit Corporation despite the fact that I have told them that the number they are calling (mine) is no longer the contact number for the person that they are attempting to collect the debt from. My business cell phone number once belonged to a man named [redacted], or [redacted]. I am not this person, nor do I know who this person is. I am not a relative, a friend...of this person.

Despite my communicating to NCC verbally this information on multiple occassions and requesting that they remove me from their calling list and document that this cell phone number is not associated with the person they are trying to collect the debt from; I continue to receive collection calls.

When I received the most recent call I again contacted NCC and explained the situation about the cell phone number, requested that I be removed from their contact list and stop receiving calls. In addition, because of the repeated nature of this issue I requested that they send me a confirmation in writing that I indeed had been removed from their systems. They refused to do this. I spoke to a manager name Zeb R[redacted] and in addition to refusing to provide written confirmation of my information being removed from the system; he was rude, and condescending.Desired Settlement: I would like confirmation that I have been removed from their system in writing. I would also like an apology and confirmation that I will no longer be contacted by this organization.

Review: There was an account that I was never aware of on my credit report. I wrote to Nationwide but I never received a response. I am in active military service and I am in

the process of purchasing a home. I recently paid off the account with Nationwide and it is still appearing on my credit report as a derogatory item and it impairs my ability to purchase a home. Due to the nature of my job in serving our country and being assigned to duties beyond my control, the account was inadvertently neglected and I was never properly notified of the past due amounts or the impending reporting to my credit report. It has lowered my credit score and is hurting my ability to become a homeowner.

In pursuit of the United States Treasury's Housing Affordability and Stabilization Program and in line with the Veterans Administration advocacy of encouraging military members to own a piece of the American Dream, I respectfully requested their office to remove these ite** from my credit report.

The account number is #[redacted]. In which it has been paid in full. Confirmation #[redacted].Desired Settlement: I respectfully request the office to remove these ite** from my credit report.

I am rejecting this response because:

January 6, 2014

Dear **. [redacted]:

Thank you for your letters dated September 11 and 23. To this date, Nationwide Credit Corporation has not resolved my complaint and has ignored all the correspondence I sent them. Specifically, in my letter dated August 20, 2013,1 requested them to provide me with the proof that I authorized and approved the service in question. NCC never provided me with that proof. Instead they have continued to harass my family with 3 calls to my home phone during the two weeks of Christmas Holiday Season 2013.

With this letter, I am asking you to help me with this matter by intervening and stopping NCC from further harassing my family. Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,

Review: As written before I had my identity stolen and several accounts where opened in my name including the one Nationwide is attempting to collect on. I filed two police reports with the [redacted] Police Department, and included Nationwide [redacted] of [redacted], VA. They are collecting on behalf of [redacted] who sold a fraudulent debt, which is strictly prohibitive by the FCRA and FDCPA. I sent them a copy of the police report and officers name and this morning I was contacted by my credit monitoring service showing that despite the current dispute they placed it on Experian as well. I have written the Revdex.com just the other day, I am still in shock how unethical and immoral these individuals can be. Every other creditor responded to my correspondence and evidence and corrected the matter. Nationwide is determined to ruin my character by continuously furnishing false information to the Credit Reporting Agencies further victimizing me then I already have been. At this juncture I feel I have no other option but to retain counsel.Desired Settlement: I want for this account to be removed from my credit report and all collection activity to cease. I further ask that they purge the debt from there system and reassert to [redacted] Union that this is a fraudulent and unauthorized debt. I ask they provide me proof of deletion from the Credit Reporting Agencies.

Review: On my credit report is a collections account for Nationwide Credit Corporation for [redacted]. It includes an attached document with my name and the address the service (Gas utility) was provided to. Nonetheless, I have never resided at the listed address. I've never done business with [redacted]. This is not my account yet they refuse to remove it from credit history.Desired Settlement: Remove the collection account from all 3 credit agencies.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, there is a mention of a [redacted] in my response letter? Who is this, is this the correct account?

Regards,

Review: In review of my credit report I have attempted several times to pay a debt that is listed as being through Nationwide Credit Corp. for emergency room services performed for my daughter at [redacted] Medical Center. When calling the hospital to resolve I was referred to collections agency. When calling the listed Agency, Nationwide, they have advised they no longer have my account information and I have not been given any avenue to pay this debt which totals $528.00.Desired Settlement: I would like to be given the information needed in order to pay off this debt and have it reflected as closed or paid on my credit report. Thank you.
