Review: I currently have student loans serviced by navient via sallie mae.currently I am unemployed but still making monthly paymentsi called them numerous times asking them if they could work with me and make it affordable as I can make the payments that they want.in feb I asked what they could do for march they told me make a 380 payment on the 22nd.I was then informed on the 9th that I was a day late and now I owed over 400 with interest.I explained to them that it wasnt due until the 22nd as agreed upon they told me know it was due on the fourth.I explained to them that because I am unemployed was there anything I can do to at least make my payents affordable.I was told there was nothing they can do for me.they are very rude and unprofessional and causing me to have anxiety worrying about paying them back I dont know where to turn for help for this matter.they also told me I opwed more than what I borrowed on the pricipal.I do not receive monthly statements so I do not know where my payments go .I feel like I am dealing with loan sharks and at this point they have me thinking about defaulting.on top of this they are giving me balloon payments eveymonth they go up and up.I started at approximately 220 then 300 310 now they want over 500 per month.Desired Settlement: all I want is an affordable monthly payment.

Review: My student loans are in an in-school-deferment from 6/15/14 until 6/13/15 and I have the letter dated 7/16/2014 that shows this. Navient was very clear, in their letters, emails, and on their website that when they transitioned from being Sallie Mae to being Navient that my in-school deferment and loan terms would not change.

However, when they made the change from Sallie Mae to Navient they began billing me and using frequent automated phone calls that I owe them payments on the loan. I sent them a letter regarding this/their billing error as I can find no online option or email with the options to report them and send them a copy of their previous correspondence that proves my loans should be in an in-school-deferment. Their automated phone system does not provide adequate options for this type of error on their part either, I tried with no success.

I am receiving bills and phone calls still and have my doubts that this will be remedied honestly by Navient without the assistance of a third party and likely that I am not the only student borrower that they have made this error with. Today I received a letter stating they are going to report me to the consumer reporting agencies.Desired Settlement: To have Navient remedy their billing error so that records reflect that:

1. I have not missed a payment

2.My loans are in an in-school-deferment

And for Navient to 3. remove any charges, fees, or penalties that resulted from their error and erroneously taking my loan out of deferment while it should still be in its deferment period.

4. Also for them to discontinue calling me.

Also, is it too much to ask that their website and automated calls have options for reporting billing errors rather than only options for how to pay a bill or to choose a repayment plan but no way to respond to their error of removing a students loan out of deferment? There are no options for disputing a billing error like this, the closest option is to apply for payment options.

Review: This bussiness is collecting money for a debt that I was scamed into. They have offset my tax seceral times for a loan amount that was never given to me but, to the devry university whom is scaming thier potential students into student loans from sallie mae. Navient has hired about five different collection agencies whom have harrassed me for the money or has provided falsified documentation in an attempt to get me to pay them. My 2014 official tax offset was set at $40. But, someone in there office sent me an additional unofficial offset form for collection of $177 that they have no record of. I called they and talked to sandy a representative of thier and she told me that thier was no record of a $177 offset sent to me.Desired Settlement: I need a refund of all my tax offsets taken since 2012 and all acount colse. My reason for this is I was scamed out of the university and never got an education that was expected and they have harrassed me in attempt to collect a debt for money that was never given to me. Devry university took all thier money and I didnt get an education

Review: I called Navient over three times and sent a detailed letter and have had no response. When I call their representatives inform me the information I am looking for has been mailed and is on its way. Two months later I still have not received the information I need. I contacted Navient so many times for the same reason, I need a list of all the loans that were consolidated under the original company Salliie Mae as well as a list of every payment made the past 4 years. I need this information to be part of the ten-year loan forgiveness program which apparently they dont want me to be in because they refuse to send me this information. I have proof I was with them since April 1st 2011, I have a promissory note, My first two bills and payment information with check number. I sent all this information to them and they are still denying I was consolidated with them for four years and refuse to send me the information I asked for. I need all my past history payment information for the past four years as well as a list every loan that was consolidated under them. Please have them send me this information.Desired Settlement: I need a letter from Navient. I need all my past history payment information for the past four years as well as a list of every loan that was consolidated under them, the bank name, amount, and prior interest rate. Please have them send me this information. I need this because a collection agency is stating a loan is still outstanding under my mom's name. This is very important.

Review: Well these people are telling me that my student loan payment is $1,400.00 a month, that is more than half of my income. So I applied for an income based plan and was approved but now my total debt is increasing even though I am making payments of $150.00 when my payment is only $50.00 a month. So I am over paying to try and get the principle down only its going up. So I either have to decide to pay the $1,400.00 a month or have a place to live and care for my kids...or....pay the income based payment and the total loan amount continues to rise as everything is applied to intrest so the loan amount will never be paid off. How is this legal? How is this ok?Desired Settlement: I would like this to be adjusted so that not only myself but others can afford to live and get our student loans paid off. At this rate it will never be paid in full. I would like either the loan payments to be adjusted to better fit incomes and/or have more amount applied to the principle and less to interest so it will be paid off.

Review: When this company was created by Sallie Mae they did not transfer my student loan to the company correctly. They removed my name and left it under my co-signer. I called and had them correct the error. The next month I did not receive a bill instead my co-signer did. Again I called and told them to send me my bill, made sure they had my address, and setup automatic payments. The next month I again did not receive a bill but did not realize it was due. Another month went by and they sent a collection to my co-signer again and not me the primary account holder. The company has been incompetent in managing my account though I have called over and over again I am always told they have the correct address and billing information yet continually I do not receive a bill or my payment is not withdrawn from my bank account. Instead they continually send bills to the co-signer and always after it is overdue.Desired Settlement: I want them to get their records straight and start sending me, the primary account holder, my bill. I want them to stop contacting the co-signer who does not have primary responsibility for payment.

Review: I MADE MY REGULAR PAYMENT TO NAVIENT IN THE SUM OF 347.86 FOR TWO STUDENT LOANS. I SENT ONLY 1 CHECK WITH 2 COUPONS WHICH DIVIDES THE CHECK INTO 107.89 AND 239.97. THEY HAVE BEEN APPLYING THE CORRECT AMOUNTS SINCE 2014. IN MAY OF 2015 THEY SEEMED FOR FORGET HOW TO SPENT THE PAYMENT AND ONLY APPLIED THE 347.89 TO 1 ACCOUNT. THIS HAS BEEN ON GOING. IN JULY I SENT IN MY REGULAR PAYMENT OF 347.89 WITH THE COUPONS LIKE NORMAL. SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN MISCREDITING MY ACCOUNTS THEY DECIDED TO CHANGE MY CHECK INTO 847.86 TO FIX THE ERRORS THEY CREATED. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THEM TO DO THIS. I CALLED THEM ON 7-10-14 WHEN I CAUGHT WHAT THEY DID. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE 90 DAYS TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. I HAD TO GO TO MY BANK TO PUT AN UNAUTHORIZED ARC. THEY IN TURN TRIED TO CHARGE ME OVER 200.00 FOR 1 ACCT PLUS LATE FEES SINCE THEY DID NOT CREDIT THE ACCTS RIGHT. THEY DID RERUN THE CHECK FOR THE CORRECT AMOUNT ON 7-14-14.Desired Settlement: NAVIENT'S ONLINE VIEWING OF HOW THEY CREDIT ACCOUNTS IS VERY CONFUSING SINCE THEY HAVE NO ACCOUNT NUMBERS ATTACHED TO WHERE THE MONEY GOES. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS FEATURE CHANGED. I DID RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK BUT NOT BY NAVIENT BUT THROUGH MY BANK. I WAS GIVEN NO REAL EXPLANATION AS TO WHY MY CHECK WAS RUN FOR 500.00 OVER THE ORIGINAL BALANCE OTHER THAN IT WAS A MISTAKE. I AM VERY CONCERNED IF THEY ARE DOING THIS TO MY ACCOUNT HOW MANY OTHERS ARE GOING THROUGH THE SAME ISSUE. I WOULD LIKE A FULL AUDIT OF NAVIENT ACCOUNTING SYSTEM. THIS WAS NOT JUST A COUPLE OF DOLLARS ERROR THIS WAS A 500.00 ERROR ON THERE PART.

Review: For four months now, Navient has not been able or willing to fix my account history and I'm showing late on my payments. All representatives I talk to tell me different things and no one helps. In November I made my first payment to Navient. Turns out the so called service specialist was not supposed to take my payment but he took it over the phone. Navient refuses to honor that payment, for which I have my receipt, and made me pay late fees and does not care at all for my credit history even though Navient made the mistake. Navient told me that the only way to fix "this situation" was to place my account on forbearance, something I do not need and something Navient never did. Navient never answers to emails, service specialist transfer your call without telling you, which causes you to repeat your case over and over. At the end you just have to pay or else it will reflect on your credit history. When I told the service specialist what I wanted (have my November payment honored) he simply dismissed my request with a no.Desired Settlement: I want Navient to honor my November payment and either refund it to me or apply it towards the March payment since I have already paid February. Thank you.

Review: We co-signed SallieMae student loans for our son and agreed to make $27.95 monthly payments on one loan. Our son is still in college, and we have faithfully made payments on time. Sallie Mae transferred this one loan to Navient in 2014, and the new process for payment was not communicated to us. We have continued to mail payments 7 days before the due date, and our Credit Union statements show that the payments are being made. However, Navient continues to send e-mails and make harassing phone calls to our son, our home, and my work. It is my understanding that it is not required to begin repayment of student loans until 6 months after graduation, but we are making these payments voluntarily. My wife has faxed copies of our credit union statements to Navient as requested, and she has fax confirmations indicating that the faxes were sent successfully. Her requests to be notified that the faxes were received have been denied. Navient continues to say that we are behind by two months payments. The calls that we receive are often automated, and we are put on hold when we answer. When we attempt to return a call, we are often put on hold and sometimes the call is dropped or we are told to call at another time. Automated calls are received after the hours that anyone will answer. We believe that our payments for the Navient loan are being applied to another Sallie Mae loan that we have not agreed to begin paying.Desired Settlement: The payments that we have faithfully made should be applied to the correct Navient Loan, and we should receive in writing assurance that Navient has corrected their error and our credit will not be affected in any way.

Review: I have been contacted by Navient representatives twice in the last week, asking me to call them back to discuss my student loan account. They have been calling from [redacted] and have been asking me to call back at [redacted]. Once I called, they asked for personal information, and told me that I am 55 days late for a payment. The only student loan I have is through Fed Loan Servicing, and I am fully up to date on payments. I told the representative at Navient that I didn't feel comfortable giving her my financial information, because I didn't think that I had a loan through her company, and I was hung up on. It seems very suspicious to me, and I am quite concerned that I already gave them my birthdate, social security number, e-mail, and cell phone number.Desired Settlement: I would like to know the validity of this company, and know that they aren't going to use my personal information for false purposes.

Review: Navient (student loan Company former Salli-Mie) sends collection letters and calls monthly. Banks statements have been provided for a payment they have miss applied. Payments are auto deducted from my sons account. Every month he calls to have payments applied to the correct accounts, Navient takes 1 large payment and applies to each account. Navient has advised me when my son pays 12 months without being late my name will come off as co signer. [redacted] has paid 3 years without being late. With auto deduction, payments are on time but when Navient has miss applied a payment they mark it late I have explained this to them. [redacted] (son) is 1 payment ahead of schedule (that is the payment they can't find). Please advise me what else can be done I am sure this is a common practice for them, and I have informed them of my opinion.Desired Settlement: I would like my credit report corrected and all late fees removed. [redacted]'s credit report will also need to be corrected.

Review: I have some student loans with Navient that I am required to pay back six months after I quit going to college. I quit applying for loans because I don't need them, but I have continued to attend at least 6 credit hours of classes every fall and spring semester at the [redacted] Community College District since getting the loans, yet Navient keeps sending me bills saying I'm past due.

I have contact them twice, once via phone and once via their website, to inform them that I'm still attending. When I contacted them by phone in early 2015, the issue was resolved for two or three months, and then I started getting billed again. When I more recently filed a complaint about it on their website, I never received any response whatsoever. I believe they have also filed a forbearance on my behalf without my authorization.Desired Settlement: I want Navient to quit billing me while I am attending college, to have their records and my credit report show that I have not been late on any payments nor been issued a forbearance, and to ensure me that my interest rate has not gone up nor have I been charged any extra interest that I should not have been charged while attending college.

Review: I had a student loan with Navient. Garnishment payments was being deducted from my payroll check bi -weekly via my job Home Depot since 10/11/2013.

In February 2015 I consolidated my loans with Navient and a loan I had with Great lakes. I chose Great Lakes as my new loan provider. The consolidation was finalized on 03/06/2015. And my Navient loan was paid off with them.

Navient received 3 additional wage garnishment payments from Home Depot after the consolidation was finalized

Deducted 1/30/15 $149.15 Navient processed it on 02/09/15

Deducted 02/27/15 $160.41

Deducted 03/13/15 $152.16

The deduction on 01/30/2015 Navient applied toward my loan, but the last 2 deductions totaling $312.57 Navient did not apply towards my loan. It has been more than 60 days and I have been calling them with no resolution they owe me a refund check for $312.57Desired Settlement: I want Navient to refund me the last 2 checks they received from [redacted] because they never applied the money towards my loan and now my loan is with another company. The refund should be for $312.57

I have documents to prove everything

Review: NAVIENT...used to be known as [redacted]....(Changed the name recently...)Student Loan Services for the U.S. Department of Education.Wrong billing; Still attending college.NAVIENT is not following normal and required procedures, just like its predecessor [redacted].They sent me a wrong bill to be paid in 4 days after receiving the letter. It is a wrong billing. I am still attending college. Please notice that they typed up the bill on 11/23/12 and they alleged that I was in arrears already for $223.20, that I was supposed to pay $223.20 on 12/06/14. I have received Navient's letter on December 02, 2014.This is illegal. They must send a payment notice with 30 days in advance,Please check my attachments: (1) [redacted] College certification that I am attending College right now and I qualified for "In School Deferment Request". (2) See my new registration for classes on Winter 2015.NAVIENT never sent me a blank copy to request an "In School Deferment Request" from VVC. Review: I have tried to contact Navient on over 4 different occasions over the past two months only to never receive a response. They are calculating my loan payments wrong and don't seem to show any interest in correct the problem. My one account I am being overcharged. The only for some odd reason the payment dropped. No one will contact me or explain the situation to me. I thought Navient would be different but seems they are just like the corrupt SallieMae. I had an interest rate reduction, which they erroneously removed and appears never put back as the payment amount has not dropped.Desired Settlement: I want someone to review my account and find the errors made and adjust it accordingly. I didn't think this would be such a hard thing to do, but apparently it is.

Review: Navient had recently bought my college loan debt and has been sending me mail lately about how to understand how a payment allocation will take place but hasn't ever sent me a bill via mail or email. Today I received an email saying that I had a delinquent payment due. I'm currently in the process of buying a home and now I'm concerned that Navient has damage my credit score by reporting a late payment to credit agencies not to mention upset that I never received notification for a bill.

They only seemed concerned with making me understand how my monthly payment will be applied to my two loans instead of informing me of an upcoming payment being due.Desired Settlement: After looking at Revdex.com it looks like Navient has a track record for billing issues. If they have reported this late payment to the credit agencies I want them to retroactively correct their error by getting a late payment removed from the credit agencies since didn't inform me about a bill being due until its due date had already past. If this delays me from purchasing a home and therefore causes me to have to stay in my apartment longer they should have to compensate me for the additional cost of having to pay month to month rent payments.

Review: Called Navient to set up a payment arrangement as I had previously called back in May 2015 before my due date to set up a payment arrangement for my private student loans. On today, July 6th, I called again because I noticed my private loans were overdue and I had requested a deferment and/or forbearance when I last called in May. I received a rude customer service agent by the name of [redacted] (Rep. ID [redacted]). When I explained to him my situation, and the fact that my dad is an active military member being deployed on 07/07/2015, he stated to me there was nothing he could do and "you don't even have $300.00 and your dad is the one in the military, not you." I proceeded with my conversation advising him I could not afford the 400.00 plus dollar payment they were requesting for my private loans and that I was going back to school full time in September. He stated, "well your not in school now so I can't offer you anything." At this time I became frustrated and asked to speak to his manager. He stated, "since you know so much about military I will transfer you to the military line." I told him not before I speak to your supervisor. I then was transferred to his supervisor who was very helpful and transferred me to the military line which I was advised I could receive a military deferment because my father was going to be active duty again. He is currently an instructor and is called a minimum of three times a year for tours. I ended up setting up a payment arrangement for three months to take care of the past due balance but I feel like the agent, [redacted], should not be allowed to speak with any customers. [redacted] is rude, unprofessional, and unsympathetic. He has a nasty attitude and very sarcastic. I'm going back to school in the fall and I will NOT even consider Navient to finance my education. They have never advised me of any military options up until last year when I asked about them. My father has been active duty every year since 2007. Between the lack of customer service and the lack of knowledge their reps have, it makes it very hard and unpleasing to speak to someone. The rudeness is just unacceptable. I want to take this as high as possible because of this [redacted] person and also the fact that I have late charges and delinquencies on my credit report for a few years which could of been avoided since my father who is my co-signer has been on active duty for over 7 years. Please look into this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like an adjustment for all the late charges and fees charged to me while my dad was in active duty. As well as to speak to higher management about their rude employees.

Review: On January 28, 2015, I authorized Navient to process an electronic check over the phone to payoff our loan in full. The amount was for $22,970.88. It cleared immediately as I waited on the phone. The check was number 2358.

On February 13, 2015, they ran the same check #2358 through a second time and withdrew an additional $22,970.88 from our account. I have been on the phone with the Navient advocate, exchanged emails, trying to get our money back. On Friday morning, February 20, 2015, I provided the Navient advocate with my checking account routing number and account number for them to deposit our cash. As of Monday night, Feb 23, 2015, our bank account does not have any activity from Navient.

They processed and took our money immediately, but today, 10 day after they withdrew and unauthorized $22,970.88, we still have not received reimbursement.Desired Settlement: 1. I want our money back, asap.

2. I want Navient/Sallie Mae to credit all previous interest charged and eliminate all future interest (change loans to 0% interest) to the accounts held by our two children.
