Neighborhood Restoration Reviews (24)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted] ([redacted]) [redacted]

Complaint[redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] Once again you cherry pick my complaint and respond in order to make NRC look as if they have been more than fair and that I'm unreasonable I have read your responses over and over and you have the same flaw in all of them. You ignore stated facts and you never admit to any wrong doing. Also had you read my response I never said it was on the contract to replace the awning, I said it its on the final payout the check stub and statement from the insurance. The ONLY difference between the contract and the final payment. But...according to you that's on the insurance, they got it wrong. All that aside facts still remain, which you continue to ignore. Fact, [redacted] met with insurance rep, came to an agreement, and explained to my wife and myself the insurance payout would pay to tear off and replace the roof and flat rubber roof. The insurance rep agreed to cover replacement of siding on three sides but [redacted] said the payout was high enough to cover doing all sides including insulation board and vapor wrap. It would also cover replacement of all aluminum fascia and drip edge but not the window wrap. We could pay for that separately, but decided to paint instead. Also we asked who would get the permits because we are unincorporated, and [redacted] said NRC would pull all necessary permits and it was included in the estimate. He also explained as I stated before that the supplement was to cover any damage not visible before the work started. (decay/rotting wood or underlying water damage) you found none of these ergo no supplements. Fact, I am not asking for more than I was told and NRC didn't do anymore than I was told. Fact, I'm not asking for $800 the difference is $706.21 Jon as a person who I assumed understood the English language I'm baffled. You wrote to me: “As a man who's been in construction for 40 years, I would assume that you would understand for us to install your siding, we would need to take down your awning, install the siding, and then reinstall your awning. In addition to that, you are asking us to reimburse you almost $800 for the awning, when all that's listed on the estimate is a little over $300.” Is this your attempt to settle with me? If so you're way too low. Just so you know I'm not angry I'm writing in CAPITALS because obviously you're not understanding what I'm saying. Pay attention because here's the fact AGAIN. I TOOK DOWN AND REINSTALLED THE AWNING NO ONE AND I REPEAT NO ONE FROM NRC OR ANYONE WORKING AS THEIR AGENT DID THAT. Even if its true that you requested more money from the insurance for removal and replacement of the awning YOU DIDN'T DO THE WORK! YOU DONT DESERVE THE MONEY! How hard is that to understand? You wrote: “One of your initial gripes was that the final payout from the insurance company was higher than the contract you signed. Also that there was work that we never performed. All I stated was that in your initial contract, we stated that we would be owed any insurance supplements as part of your final balance. We never hid that. An insurance company will not just allow us to "pad" the total and stick in our pocket as you make it out to be. There are items that get billed after the initial estimate that are part of your home repair that we need to recoup. ie. attach and reset of awning, cost of permits, and many others. Gripes? Don't you mean concerns? and as far as padding the bill how would they know they don't come back to check. They weren't here while the work was being done, but I was. Something else to be aware of NRC sent the insurance the final bill with supplements before the job was completed. Yet you want me to believe you don't add anything to the bill that's not actually done. You wrote:“You continue to call me names and make accusations against our company that are false and without merit.” Seriously? Go back and READ not once have I called you a name or accused you or NRC of anything I can't prove. You on the other hand have continually questioned my ability to comprehend what you are saying by casually insulting my intelligence. That and the fact that you keep saying that you did everything and more as if you are going out of your way to do your job the job you said you would do. You also wrote:“I do not take it the wrong way because you again have shown that you are an unreasonable person to deal with.” [redacted] I am beyond reasonable. If I were unreasonable you would have already been contacted by a lawyer or the media to deal with this. Instead I keep hoping you will see the error of you ways and just reimburse what is mine. You wrote:“We are always more than fair and if there is something we owe you for, we will absolutely make good. Unfortunately at this time, i'm unaware at what that is exactly.” Pay attention because here's the fact AGAIN. You found no rotted or decayed structure so no supplements needed. No additional money to NRC because no additional work was performed. [redacted] you like to pat yourself on the back as to how good are “We have done everything we've stated we'd do per our contract with you and more.” yet 2 weeks after completion the extra material Roberto said he would pick up that Friday is still setting on my side patio. Finally, as I said in my last response send me a check to reimburse the over payment and we can put this to bed. Quit telling me to call you to explain why I think there's an over payment. You know why. I have explained it more than adequately. I can't help it you don't understand. Sincerely [redacted]
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/09/03) */

I spoke with HO yesterday. We are working out the details on her refund. We should hopefully have it resolved by the end of the day today. Tell us why here...
