Thanks for your response.  We don't know about the line set leaking, but we do know the coil had oil on it, indicating a problem,  the technician showed this to you.  We spent an entire day at no charge trying to help you.  We found a burned aluminum wire in the main disconnect...

box that was hit by lightning.  You indicated that you had a electrician  cut the burned wire off and reattach.  Very dangerous in our opinion.  At least a new breaker is needed to protect the wiring and prevent an electrical fire.  We would have run a new copper wire to the unit, and replaced the breaker and burned disconnect box outside.  You said after the electrician left the heat pump worked perfect.    I don't know if we are on the same page yet. However, a burned electrical wire is not part of the job we did for you, that is part of  your house wiring.  I hope all is well, thanks and have a great day.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  Thanks for the response but I need to clarify your comment about us not wanting you to do any more work at our home. That is not correct. You told me on the phone and also left an extended voice mail message the following day that your company would not work on the unit until I agreed to allow you to replace my entire electrical panel and lead to the heat pump. So you made the election not to do the work; I didn't. As you may recall you suggested that I file an insurance claim to have the work paid for by my homeowner’s insurance company. (I have had subsequent discussion with my insurance company and provided them a transcript of your voice mail message suggesting the filing of claim to cover the work.) I had another company provide me a second opinion just as I would if my doctor told me that I needed a major surgery. The second opinion did not support your allegation that major electrical work was necessary before repairs to the unit could be made. In fact, it did not suggest that any electrical work was necessary at all. You were called to repair the unit that you installed and that was still under warranty. The unit quit not because of an electrical failure but due to a mechanical (weld) failure. It should have been quite obvious to an experienced repairman that it was a mechanical issue and not an electrical issue. I believe that your company should have made the repairs to the unit under warranty without regard to any alleged electrical issue. The warranty was on the unit not on the electrical system. The pictures of the burnt wires mean nothing in this exchange as the unit was repaired mechanically by another company and has worked fine since without anything done to the electrical system at all. On advice of counsel I will be submitting to you a claim for reimbursement of my out of pocket expenses associated with this incident to finalize this exchange. If reimbursement is not forthcoming then additional actions will be necessary. %3

thanks for your information we did in fact do that work and your wife was the one in charge and your wife was aware of all the charges and we can never quote a job over the phone especially when the job becomes very complicated you were called she was informed you knew that the panel box was 75 to...

100 foot away from the location your wife did not want us to make holes in the walls and wanted us to fish it through the house which required a second technician she was notified of the additional charges and had no problem you came home and decided to believe that somehow you were over charged when we actually charge, time and material and the tickets have the exact times of arrival and departure of each technician unfortunately you did not want to talk over the phone you hung up on us and you decided to file a Revdex.com complaint which stays on our record for 3 years and allows no possibility for negotiation, you were billed appropriately for the job that was done your wife is a co owner of the home she signed the tickets she authorized the work you were not there please take responsibility in the future instead of blaming everybody later on
