New City Moving & Storgae Reviews (%countItem)

Company lied about their name and business, charged us double the estimated cost and will not deliver our belongings.
On 12/13/19, *** from New City Moving, who claimed that they were a moving company and not brokers, gave our move (reference # XXXXXXX) an estimate of $2,016. At the time of pickup 12/27, a company called *** picked up our belongings and we gave them a requested delivery date of 12/29. After the majority of our items were loaded on the truck, I was informed that we needed more cubic feet to fit 2 mattresses, beds, and box springs on the van. This extra cubic feet cost $1850, which was essentially the cost of the estimate. No discounts would apply to the additional rate. Customer service said that we could pay an additional deposit of $671 at the time of delivery. On 12/31 we were informed that they could not deliver our belongings unless we paid a deposit of $757. After paying the deposit, the company is unable to give us an estimated delivery date of our belongings. We are promised that dispatch will contact us any day, but no one can tell us WHEN. It is 1/2/2020 and we are without furniture. The company has had our belongings for a week.

Desired Outcome

I would like an explanation of the additional charges, a definite delivery date, and a refund.

Company never rendered services, but kept my deposit
My move was supposed to take place either August 1 or August 2. I called earlier in the week on Tuesday and was told my pickup would take place Friday, August 2nd. I get a call on Thursday, August 1, saying it won't happen until Saturday August 3. That they gave my contract to a 3rd party driver and he was now responsible for my move. I was told my pick up time would be 10am-2pm on August 3. By 3pm nobody showed up or called me to inform me of changes. I called the driver who stated "Did no one call you? I'm not coming, you need to call the office" I called the office about 11 times and nobody answered. I called the driver again and he didn't answer, so my Dad called him and once he told the driver he was calling on my behalf hung up on him.

I was ensured by *** (relocation specialist) when I booked my move that I was safe to fly out on Monday, August 5th because my items would have been picked up by then. I never received any calls on Sunday and didn't get a call back from the office until after I flew out of Raleigh on Monday, August 5th. I was offered no solution or refund.

I had to book a U-haul box to ship my things across the country at the last minute as Roadrunner proved not to be reliable. They broke the contract by not arriving as stated.

Desired Outcome

I just want my deposit refunded

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
*** is the name of the manager for Road Runner Moving. I spoke to him on the phone. I don't know how the company name got changed to New City Moving. Road Runner Moving in Miami Fl is who this case is for. I can't believe he states I am not their customer. I can provide a charge on my credit card from that company.

Without question the worst company to make a move with! We started out great. We were told labor/materials for packing were included (pads, dis assemble and re assemble/staging). We were given an estimated quote for $3620.45 based on 1200 cu ft. We actually walked around our home with quote guy on video/face time...to show everything we were taking. His quote was surprisingly very close to actually cu ft used. HOWEVER...on packing truck day, they told us we used 1300 more cu ft and needed to pay $3900 more making the move $9665.45!
Thing is, I have photos or unloading truck showing ONLY 1100 cu ft used to unload!! How can it be we used MORE cu ft going...paid for...and less unloading. LIE, CHEAT with no recourse.
Bottom line, we paid...we complained...we filed with DOT and Revdex.com...and yet our settlement was $70. Refused that and not stopping here. I suggest WE ALL file a class action suit against this company!

April *** prepared our estimate $1,966 only to learn that the co practicing fraud an is a theft ring under investigation by Miami Dade Police.
*** gave estimate $1966 in April deposit given of $649 cc to move us in May when movers arrived they held our items hostage demanded we pay an additional $745 check or else our items would not be delivered & charged for unpacking tried calling customer service no answer. when in transit they unload your stuff steal what they want put on an different truck claim they have to charge you for the freight cost etc an demand additional money from us of over $1700 cashiers/M.o after numerous emails, calls, texts they gave run around an when the driver came numerous items stolen, damaged an told to file a claim. claim process takes over 60-90 days to deny you an they use 1 representative to answer calls & a generic bogus web portal an they act as one has nothing to do with the other. the police in Miami knows this racket exists we need you to report them to close them down.

Desired Outcome

Close them down, arrest them all and set an example so this doesn't happen to anyone else. FUll Refund.

Was quoted a price; however, after my furnishings were loaded, they increased the cost by $6,000
Sales person, ***, quoted me a price of $3,100 to pack and move my furnishings, which were in a 10x12x12 storage locker. The move date was to be 7/11 with delivery date of 7/15. On 7/11 the movers didn't show up. They blamed a problem with the paperwork.
I spoke with the sales person, ***, and a manager, ***. They couldn't give me a delivery date. After much back and forth, *** said they could deliver on a specific day, 7/16, providing I pay $800 for "private and priority" delivery. I agreed. My cost increased to $3,899.52. Pick up date moved to 7/15 and delivered 7/16.
On 7/15, the foreman presented a ream of paperwork. Although the forms were blank, he said it needed to be signed for them to begin loading. After the bulk of my furnishings were loaded onto the truck, the foreman said that my cost had increased to $9,278! That is $5,378.48 over the initial quote! They claimed the price difference was due to my having more items than they quoted. However, we went over the inventory list and the count matched exactly to what was loaded. I asked them to unload the truck. They said they would but after I paid for their labor.
Essentially, they had my furnishings and were holding them ransom until I paid $9,278. I spoke with ***, the manager that quoted the $3,800 and he said he can't see a reason for the high increase, as the inventory had not changed. I spoke with ***, another manager, and he said he wasn't sure why my initial quote was "so low". He saw no issue with the $5k price increase. I explained the pricing was clear "bait and switch". They quote a low price and once under contract, they increase the cost. I emailed *** with an option to accept $5k as payment. He declined.
To add insult to much injury, they delivered a day later than agreed (7/17 rather than 7/16) and although it was to be a "private and priority" delivery, which means that only my items would be on the truck, there we many other items on the truck (I have pictures)and the driver said they were unable to deliver on 7/16 because they had a stop in Georgia, which was not supposed to happen with a private delivery. Additionally, several items were damaged and/or missing. They took the legs off my sofa and I have yet to find them. Wood shelves from armoires are missing. The elliptical machine was damaged, and several storage cabinets were broken. I spoke with *** and told him that several items were damaged and/or missing. He responded by emailing me a claims form.
To date, no one from Road Runner Moving has followed up.

Desired Outcome

I want Road Runner Movers to honor their initial quote of $3,100 and to reimburse me $1,200 for the damaged and/or missing items.

I would think of using this moving company. *** is lovely on the phone when giving estimates and taking deposits. However, after I cancelled my contract within more than the allowable time, she refused to answer my emails or take/return my phone calls.
In order to get my deposit back, which is clearly stated I'm entitled to do per the signed contract, I've had to resort to filing a claim through my credit card company. Do not patronize this business.

Bait & switch pricing upon arrival.
Initially hired Road Runner Moving & Storage by *** to move furniture from Florida to Texas. Quote was approximate to $1,400. Give or take depending on cubic footage used. Upon arrival and loading desired cubit feet of 325, foreman/driver stated it would be an additional $4000 to load the remaining furniture.

We opted to deliver only what was loaded and Road Runner stated our furniture would be delivered by May 5 or May 6. Company now does not know where our furniture might be or the drivers handling the move.

Owner has neglected our calls: *** Customer Support has neglected our texts and calls: ***. *** the sales agent keeps stating that he cannot help because it's not his department.

Desired Outcome

Full refund.

They packed everything away to my new address but ask for a price was 3.5times as original quoted price, and didn't delivery anything unless we paid.
In early March, we quoted the price for our moving to NYC in late March, I listed almost everything I would move, they gave the price less than $2000. And we asked to pack everything away on 26th, but after a whole day waiting, nobody came, we called the company, and was told the truck was on the way from 2hours away to my house, and the 2hours driving cost them 24hours or longer, this was the first lie!!! And we wasted the whole day. It's really a flag, but we never had experience to using a moving company, they asked us to sign everything before they started to pack, and didn't give the finally price, and just told us, it was common and regular to sign everything before mover started to work for all the company. After they packed everything away, they asked $7400, and threatened us they had our signature, they could charge whatever they wanted.(why $7400 here, bc they found my employer would pay up to $7500, which actually was not correct). WE NEVER KNEW THE CHARGE OF $7400, UNTIL THEY HELD THE PRE-SIGN FILE and finish packing. It's like they cheated you to sign in a blank paper, and then listed everything you should take all the responsibility. IT'S UNFAIR!!!

After that, we knew we fell in the moving fraud, we found the reasonable price should no more than $3500 from other moving company, (we had extra 4 kids toys, including train table, easel, 2 painting desk, toatoly 52 boxes-original was 50 when we quoted. Some of the boxes were packed together in big boxes, which they could charge more packing fee and supplies fee), and they threatened us they would get full paid, or they would transfer everything to storage. We COULD NOT ACCEPT the price, and negotiated with them, we would like to pay up to $5000 for delivery. If they could accept the price, just make the appointment and delivery everything.

And the next day, they accepted the price and asked us to pay with certificated check, and also they delivered everything on March 29th, 2019. We paid before they started delivery, and also we checked the price for BALANCE was $0!!! BUT the original copy for Even after that, we asked the manager *** to write email to say "pay in full." He gave all the excuses to postpone doing so, and cheated us, no worry about the bill, this was also the flag. But we were too lack of experience, never thought it also was a trap. but till this point, we could do nothing.

We were very busy with moving and unpacking, and thought that was it, and didn't follow the case. But the sent us the invoice with $2400 balance today, and threaten us they would send that to collector!!! We were cheated again, we never acknowledge the Price of $7400, and they also accepted the price of $5000, they delivered everything. THEY SAID THEY WOULD NEVER DELIVER ANYTHING TILL WE PAID FULL!!!

The moving company is full of cheaters, from the MANAGER named *** the COORDINATOR ***, and the two movers. They told us, no worries about the bill, they had everything after the packed away, and also wrote the time after the packed everything, didn't let us know the price after they left, and just marked the finish time without noticing us. It gave ppl the fake info, like we were told every step, and we knew all the price and acknowledged the price. BUT WE ARE TOTALLY CHEATED!!!

Desired Outcome

We paid $5000 for their horrible bad service, long waiting for packing up and long waiting for delivery. THIS IS TOTALLY FRAUD COMPANY!!! We paid $5000 which is much higher than market price, we paid the tuition for no experience. WE won't pay any cent to them, ask them to get the bill back!!! AND ALSO!!!Please check their review in all the media, full of fraud, worst service and almost all customers gave the worst review to them. This company should be high lighted as company which customers would prevent. We contacted with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) before they held all our properties, they would fine the company after do the investigation. I believe all people don't want to meet such condition like us, especially in the moving time. For those people who first time to use a moving company and don't know to do research, are very easily to fall in the trap. The company of ROAD RUNNER MOVING AND STORAGE should be restricted the better service and no fraud to customer!!!

Written terms of contract not met. Overcharged for services provided. Damaged items. Intimidation tactics used by delivery driver and pick up.
On February 20th, 2019, I contacted Road Runner Moving and Storage to inquire a transport of residential items from North Port, FL to Peoria, AZ. I spoke to *** who advised that they would need to pick up this week in order for my belongings to be delivered by March 12, 2019 in AZ. Having most of my items packed and in boxes, I informed him that this week would work. *** advised they had an opening and could pick up items the next day on February 21st, 2019. I informed *** that would work on my end and provided specific measurements and number of boxes including the size of the boxes. I was given a written estimate of $1,250 USD. *** advised that the payment could be made in full via credit card. Paying by credit card was noted in the estimate contract. There was an estimated arrival time between 1:00-5:00pm on February 21st, 2019. After taking the afternoon off of work and waiting, I received a call at 5:00pm advising Road Runner Moving and Storage would not arrive until 5:30pm. Once the movers arrived at my residence at 3135 Junction St in North Port, FL., *** along with two movers came in and began loading my belongings on the truck.

*** began to go over some of the paperwork with me and advised the quoted amount of space was met and that there would be an additional fee of $1,300USD to move the remaining king mattress, 2 box springs, entertainment center, vacuum cleaner, and coffee table. I did not understand why, as the quote was specific to the price I was quoted which included the above mentioned items. again stated that he would not be able to take all my items that I had just provided the information on the day prior. *** physically showed me back of the truck the lines and spaces that they went by and that I reached the quoted amount of cubic space. *** again stated that it would be an additional $1,300USD on top of the $1,250USD. Please note that under the Weight Is Always Unlimited section in contract it reads; This Binding estimate is based upon the specific items to be moved and services ordered as listed on the estimate. Your estimate price is guaranteed not to change unless you order additional services, add additional items to be moved, or additional weight to be moved which are not specifically listed on the estimate. If you make any changes to the list of services ordered or the items to be moved, you must notify the estimator prior to your move date so an updated estimate can be issued to you and last minute price changes can be avoided. Accuracy of your estimate is wholly dependent upon the completeness of the specific items you inform the estimator that you are moving.

At this point, I was upset and frustrated and I informed *** that I just wanted to cancel. *** informed me there was a fee per hour and that the time started upon arrival at 5:30pm. I was advised I would have to pay cash to have my belongings that were just loaded unloaded. I told *** I wanted to cancel several times as he and the two additional movers stood around the truck. *** informed me he would call his boss, ***, the Regional Manager. *** informed *** that he was not at the office and to give him a few minutes to make some phone calls and figure it out. I was worried as *** just informed me I was paying by the minute. *** had handed me his phone to speak with ***. *** asked me what it would take to complete the job. I advised him that I simply wanted my personal belongings that were provided by detail the day prior at the originally quoted price. I took the time to specifically measure and list in detail to make it easier so that there would be no surprises or issues for the movers. *** stated that he would take $300USD off. Knowing that half my personal belongings would not be moved now, I informed *** that I rather just cancel. *** asked for the phone to be handed back to ***. *** quickly ended the call informing *** he had to go. *** then

Desired Outcome

I told *** that I was upset about this new information and not being informed ahead of time. Having no family or friends in a new city I have never lived in before I was limited to my options and felt I was once again being scammed for more money. I called the closest U-Haul facility and rented a box truck the size that I was originally told was coming to begin with. After having to pay to rent a box truck, I rushed back to the 18-wheeler where *** and his two crew were sitting. As they opened drivers side access door to the trailer, I was horrified seeing that my boxes were smashed. *** stated, "We're going to bring all your *** over here and make sure you have all your *** before signing the bill of landing". I felt the cursing was unnecessary and unprofessional to say the least. There were boxes that I doubled taped that were completely opened. I was counting as they unloaded my boxes. I noticed that there were two boxes missing. *** then counted while pointing at two different boxes counting them twice as if making it appear they were all there. I told him that he counted the same boxes twice. Upon them re-counting all my boxes/items five times, he finally admitted I was missing 2 boxes (24 of the 26 boxes/items received). They searched their truck space and found no additional boxes of mine. *** stated that it was impossible and that it never happens as they continued to look. I asked *** what to do now, and he said nothing that he would take care of it and requested I sign for the delivery. I said I would sign but also wanted to note that 2 of my boxes were missing. He grabbed the papers and said I could not do that. I asked why, he said because I can't write on the receipt of delivery and that it is illegal. Fearing that if the notation was not documented, I would never see my belongings again. I informed *** that I did not wish to sign without the notation of missing items. stated I could not write on it or sign it and walked away. I then drove to my apartment with the U-Haul I had just rented to begin unloading my belongings as I was now paying to rent the U-Haul. I received a missed call and voicemail from a restricted number. I checked the voicemail which was *** (Ph:XXX-XXX-XXXX) advising that without my signature, they could not submit a claim for my missing items. asked me to call him and he will go through everything and find out what I was missing and he'll take care of it from there. He continued advising me to sign the bill of landing otherwise insurance won't cover anything. I tried to call *** back twice and went straight to voicemail. I simply wanted to inform him I was not refusing to sign however just wanted it noted I was missing items. I would have also informed *** of ***s actions during this process. I returned to the semi truck where *** and his crew were. I noted I was missing two boxes and signed the landing receipt. *** became irate and scribbled out the information to include the signed date. *** then told me that I was a racist. Failing to see the logic of the incoherent statement, I chose to just ignore it as this entire process was already beyond a nightmare. After *** scribbled out my notation and date, he asked me to date it again. On the copy provided to me, the notation of missing two boxes is still legible. I will be sending this via certified mail as well as an email. I have attached photographs of damaged boxes and 18-wheeler instead of Penske truck. Note that one of the boxes missing contained legal documents, which had my personal information enclosed. As I left my apartment complex to return the U-Haul, I had to drive pass *** and his crewmembers who were sitting in the 18-wheeler. All three flicked me off with the middle finger as I drove past. Again I chose to ignore this childish, unprofessional, and offensive behavior. Resolution for services not being provided is full refund

I can barely stomach leaving one star. They had to be the worst mover on the planet. First, they brought a to small truck, leaving us with items to move ourselves. Then it took 2 weeks to get us our things( after our possessions took a detour through NYC,we live in VA.) Squished and wet the truck finally made it minus way to many items. And busted up antiques, ripped upholstery. Final settlement today of $70. I'll never see my things again, unless I look on eBay. *** Cheap ,yes. Reputable ??? Absolutely not!!!!

Moving is not easy, but Road Runner Moving and Storage made my move easy from start to finish. I really didn't want to use a moving company. I had planned to just rent a truck and do it the old fashioned way. I went to pick up my truck rental though and they didn't have the truck available that I reserved online and told me I had to drive from Miami to Orlando to pick up a 26ft truck and then come back. Absolutely freakin ridiculous! Nikki and I had spent some time together in the preliminary stages of me deciding what I'd do and I decided at that point to call her back and see if they could do the move for me. After explaining my situation Nikki was nice enough to help me out with the price to fit my budget and 3 guys came two days later to load the truck. All of my items just arrived today in San Diego and were in good shape. If you're thinking of using Road Runner Moving and Storage, go for it!!!

Absolutely the worst and unprofessional moving company that I've ever experienced. My 1st time relocating long distance and I shopped around in need of a moving company. The company Sales Rep *** is real good at luring you and promising you how efficient this company is. From the moment I secured the Binding Agreement on Thurs. Dec. 20th, giving them my deposit, it went downhill. Movers didnt show up as scheduled. When picked up items, got my pick up monies, overcharged me and I havent seen or heard from any of them till Thursday, Dec. 27th. The General Manager finally returned my call and gave me nothing but excuses. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

They didn't show up during the 2 day pickup window and never called to notify me. Then they kept my security deposit without providing any service.
I scheduled my move with another mover and the salesman from Road Runner called me multiple times telling me they could beat their price. I told the salesman, *** that I didn't like that they quoted based on volume and he promised me that if I stuck to my moving inventory, they wouldn't charge me any overages, so I agreed to give them my business. He assured me I fit into their routes perfectly and there'd be no risk of not getting my stuff picked up on time.
The pickup for my long distance move was scheduled for Oct 29-30. They called me on the 28th to let me know they'd arrive 7a-10a on the 29th, but the driver never showed or called. I called the driver and finally got a call back hours after the pickup window was missed. Driver told me he'd arrive later that night, however he never showed up again. Late on the 29th he told me he'd arrive early morning on the 30th, but never showed. I called him all day and didn't hear back until the night of the 30th. He told me was bitten by a spider and had to go to urgent care so he wouldn't be able to make it that day, but would arrive the following morning of Oct 31. He didn't show up the morning of the 31st and didn't call to notify me. Oct 31 was the last day of my apartment lease and I'd get kicked out or get fined if I wasn't out by the end of the day. I finally got the operations manager, *** on the phone after trying for 2 hours. He told me to find another moving company, and never even genuinely apologized for the inconvenience.
While I was lining up another mover, they called me back and told me they were rerouting one a Road Runner truck that was currently 5 hours away and that the truck would arrive at 3pm. I agreed for them to send one of their trucks so long as they could get to my apartment by 5pm. The drivers didn't show up until after 7pm on Oct 31. They sent a semi truck which couldn't fit into my apartment complex and the truck didn't have enough space for the stuff in my inventory. *** didn't mention that he was sending a semi truck or that it didn't have enough space to fit all my belongings. After the truck arrived, I found out the truck wasn't Road Runner's, it was a company that they referred me, R&R Relocation. I asked *** about this and he told me I was to sign a new contract with R&R; *** explained to me that my contract with Road Runner wasn't valid at this point. Based on R&R's pricing, I decided not to use their services. I never signed a contract with R&R Relocation.
I had another company, MB Moving of Ann Arbor, MI, complete my move and after my move was completed, I called Road Runner to get my deposit back. A customer service rep from Road Runner told me that my deposit couldn't be refunded because they gave that money to R&R Relocation Services. I never authorized Road Runner to give my money to R&R Relocation Services and I never signed a contract with R&R Relocation Services.
To summarize, Road Runner no showed on the pickup for my long distance move, told me they were sending a Road Runner truck, but instead sent a truck from R&R Relocation who wanted to charge me twice as much. *** never informed me that this was a different company with different pricing until after they arrived. After they arrived *** told me that my contract with Road Runner wasn't valid and that I needed to sign a new contract with R&R. I never signed a contract with R&R, Road Runner never provided any services for me, but they still kept my security deposit of $783 after causing me to miss an entire week of work while I was waiting for their truck to arrive. Additionally, *** threatened to hold my stuff in storage and charge me for storage costs while I disputed the billing issue. He told me he'd have to charge me for storage costs because it takes them 2 weeks or more just to pull up the recording of the phone call I had with their salesman, wherein the salesman promised me the price I was quoted over the phone.

Desired Outcome

At a minimum, I'm requesting a full refund of my security deposit, which was $783. I'm also requesting an additional $800 to compensate for the 4 days of work that I missed due to their mishandling of my long distance move.

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Nov 20, 2018

We are very sorry for the situation that occurred however let us clarify some items. The company that was contracted to service him is called D & D Relocation, which the customer said he had taken pictures of their truck. The pickup was scheduled for the 29th or 30tht of October. We contacted the customer due to something that occurred beyond our control on the 30th . Customer was getting constant updates throughout the whole move which he confirmed he spoke to us. The customer was working with us at that point and he acknowledged and agreed that we could have someone pick him up on the 1st that would work. We had offered a full refund prior to that.
We then arranged a company we work with to rearrange his schedule & leave from Louisville KY to arrive on the 1st of November to pick him up since we had no trucks or drivers close enough. By contract we are allowed to broker or assign the job to another company. They arrived 2 hours late and yes, it was in a semi which most moving companies' use. We loaded most of his items from his fist pickup location and were going to place another job on the truck in storage so they could return and get the rest of the items. During that time the customer and the driver had a disagreement which we were informed the next day.
This involved additional items and or cubic footage that may or may not have been accounted for, but he had already signed the paper work with the company we sent. He asked what would happen if he did not pay the delivery charges of the items that had been loaded. He was informed, not threatened that they would be place in storage and there would be a storage charge and re-delivery fee. We also informed him that his deposit had already been given to the other company and that he had already allowed them to load most of his items. He was not told that they had different pricing. He was told that there was no additional charge for a shuttle on pickup and that the other company had to honor our contract and prices but if there were additional cubic feet just like with us there would be a charge for it. Due to the problems, the company agreed to unload his items and not charge him anything additional.
We are very sorry that these problems occurred. We tried to work through them with the customer but the company that we sent did arrive within two hours of the time after driving all day, did wrap and load much of the customer's furniture. We are sorry that there is no way to return the customers deposit. We would have not been able to return it, if it had been one of our trucks picking it up after he had agreed on the later pickup date. We also realize that moving services are at a premium during the end of the month, so the alternatives were not available to either the customer (who could not find anyone else) or ourselves. We felt that the customer requested we just unload his items and call it a day. Please let us know if you need additional information or copies of the contracts the customer signed on line with us.

Customer Response • Nov 21, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company's response is filled with lies.
When the truck was rerouted from Kentucky, I agreed for Road Runner to send one of THEIR trucks. They never mentioned that it was from another company that had a different pricing structure, so I have no idea why Road Runner would think I'd know that I was going to have to pay nearly double for the same service. At that point I had another company lined up to complete the move, but *** said the truck will arrive in 5 hours. That was at around 10a, so driver was supposed to arrive at 3pm. Because I was told the truck would arrive by 3 and wasn't notified about any other aspect of the move (price, services provided, type of truck, moving company) being altered, I agreed to have them send the truck. The truck didn't arrive until after 7p, and I was supposed to be out of my apartment complex by 5pm or start paying fines. *** not telling me about the changes to my move (it being a different company, with higher prices and a different type of truck) was a tactic to get me to keep my business with them and was blatantly dishonest. If it wasn't dishonest, it was complete incompetence.
*** also never mentioned they were sending a semi that didn't fit into my apartment complex. There were supposed to be specific notes in my job ticket according to the salesman, ***. Because the truck didn't fit in my apartment complex, the drivers told me I had to help them load the truck because they weren't willing to stay working that late without my help. I helped them load the truck even though I hired them to do that. The salesman also told me the drivers would have packing materials, like bubble wrap, for fragile items, but all they had was padded blankets, so I had to get packing materials and pack items they were supposed to.
After the truck was loaded, the drivers had me sign a bill of lading, but the document wasn't filled out and I asked them why. They told me the document was only needed to obtain the correct delivery address - all I filled out was my 1st pickup address, delivery address and signature. It was not a moving contract. I have a photo of the bill of lading showing that it wasn't filled out other than the fields I mentioned above. It was at this time I noticed that the name on the document wasn't Road Runner and this was the first indication I had it wasn't Road Runner completing my move.
The semi didn't have enough space for my quoted 925 cubic feet, let alone any space for overages I was promised if the cause of the overages were due to their inaccurate volume estimate based on the inventory I provided. Because of this, the drivers told me they'd have to make one delivery before completing pickup at my 2nd at 3rd pickup locations the next day, Nov 1.
I called *** the next morning to make sure the truck could fit into the parking lot for the 2nd and 3rd pickup locations. I also requested a discount for the inconvenience of them no-showing for pickup Oct 29-30 and for the backup driver being over 4 hours late, the truck not being able to fit into the apartment complex which required us to carry boxes a long way to the truck and for the truck not having enough space to fit my quoted 925 cubic feet. Again, *** never informed me about any of these issues before rerouting the backup truck. *** told me he wasn't going to give me a discount and they'd actually be charging me long carry fees since the truck didn't fit into my apartment complex and I'd likely have overage fees based on a visual estimate from the drivers. I told him those were fees Road Runner should cover because it was his mistake for sending that type of truck without checking the details of my job or notifying me. He said he wasn't willing to do that and he also wasn't able to give me a discount because my move was now under contract with an entirely different company and my contract with Road Runner wasn't valid at this point. I asked why Road Runner couldn't at least cover any additional fees, let alone get me a discount, and he told me he couldn't without providing a reason. I told him that wasn't acceptable and to check my phone recording with the salesman to confirm he promised me there wouldn't be issues with the truck fitting in the parking lots and there wouldn't be any overages if I stuck to my inventory. He replied by threatening to put my stuff in storage and charging me storage costs for 2 weeks because it takes at least that long to obtain the phone recording of my conversation with the salesman, ***. The conversation ended with him telling me he'd see what he can work out with D&D and he'd call me back later that evening with their response. He never called me back.
The drivers never showed up the next afternoon of Nov 1, so I called and texted them throughout the evening and night of Nov 1 asking when they'd be here to complete my pickup. I called *** during this time and he told me he'd call me back by the end of the day with an ETA as he wasn't able to get them on the phone. He never called me back with this info or D&D's response to my request for a discount. Around 7p on Nov 1 the driver texted me saying they couldn't do the pickup that day. He didn't tell me when they would be able to complete the pickup or which location they wanted to start at. I texted him multiple times asking for this info and he never responded. The next day I called *** to let him know the drivers didn't show up - at this point I was worried my stuff was stolen and they were a scam so I didn't even ask about the discounted pricing. The driver called me around 10a on Nov 2. When I answered he started yelling at me and cussing me out for annoying him with text messages and calls.
After I received that phone call, I told *** that I wasn't comfortable with them completing my move, especially since the stuff being picked up at the 2nd and 3rd pickup locations were sentimental items that were my parents', both of whom passed away in the last year. He told me there was nothing he could do and he never offered any type of discount and insisted that I should just stick with the driver that yelled at me. *** told me that D&D was fulfilling the job according to the contract I signed with D&D, but I never signed a contract, I signed a bill of lading that wasn't filled out by D&D at all, under the pretense I wasn't doing anything but providing the pickup and delivery address.
At the 2nd and 3rd pickup locations, I had to help the drivers load everything again and due to that reason I couldn't watch how they loaded the truck. At the 3rd pickup location, a mini storage, the truck couldn't pull up right next to my storage unit, so I had to help them carry everything to the truck. The truck still didn't have enough space for everything at the storage location even though I was told volume overages wouldn't be an issue. Because of this, I had to stay in the storage for an additional month, which cost me $120 and I had to make a separate 8 hour trip from IL back up to MI to clear out the remaining items.
After the truck was loaded, I asked them to show me the contract I allegedly signed and they presented the empty bill of lading. So I asked them to show me the contract I was supposed to sign before pickup started and noticed that D&D charged nearly twice as much per cubic foot. I told the drivers not to leave until I spoke with the manager at D&D, where he provided me with an updated price, including the additional fees, of $5,900. My original contract with Road Runner was for $2,610 including volume overages, labor for loading the truck and packing materials, none of which was provided.
The manager at D&D told me the updated pricing was based on somewhere around 1,400 cubic feet, but based on what I could see from outside the truck, it was less than 1,300 and they included space in the truck that was used for storing their padded blankets. Additionally, the items weren't packed in a way that minimized volume, for example, I told them to put boxes of books onto shelving units to save space and they didn't. Also, items were broken or damaged during the loading and unloading process, including wooden furniture.
After D&D unloaded the truck, there was another moving company that completed my move and fit everything that was loaded into the semi into a 17' U-Haul that had a capacity of less than 1,300 cubic feet and they only charged me $2,600. Plus they did all of the loading and unloading.
Throughout this process, *** was rude, incompetent, dishonest and to my recollection didn't offer a genuine apology.
Their response saying there's no way to return my deposit is indicative of their lack of service. They have the ability to send me a refund via PayPal or check, but they just don't want to take a loss for a job they were 100% responsible for messing up. Their mistakes cost me 4 days of missed work, time, money and caused the remodel of my home to be delayed because I missed appointments due to the delayed move.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If you are actually sorry then do the right thing and refund the deposit that I'm owed.
I currently have a chargeback in process through my credit card company either accept that chargeback or refund my money through PayPal and once I receive the money from them, I'll cancel the chargeback via the credit card company.
I will not mark this complaint as resolved until I receive confirmation that I'm getting my deposit back.

The worst moving company! Do not use this company!!!

See below our dispute with the this branch. They continue to hold our furniture hostage even though we tried to settle this dispute with them on 10/1/18.

Our move date was September 21, 2018 wherein, we were informed by the movers that we had exceeded our estimated cubic feet capacity and that they were requesting additional funds in excess of $2,000 from us due to this overage. We instructed the mover that this could not be the case as we had shared our inventory with our Customer Service consultant and could not possibly be that much over. The mover suggested that we call the General Manager but neither the mover or myself could not reach him. The duration of our attempts to contact the GM exceeded 60 minutes.

The mover advised that our entertainment center was over sized (even though the inventory listing clearly has it listed as 'large') and this was causing the excess overage of cubic feet. He requested additional funds from us to cover the excess cost and we refused to pay and in turn, instructed the mover to remove the entertainment center but this request was not met. Why would we pay an additional $2,100 to move an entertainment center that is barely worth $1,000? Due to the mover could not get in contact with the GM to discuss this issue, he proceeded with our goods as is and no funds were exchanged.

We had gathered approx. 5 moving estimates before committing to this company and we feel that this company purposely 'low balled? the original estimate. We provided this company with a detailed inventory and numerous times, we informed their customer rep, that this was our vacation home (i.e. a secondary home) and that the inventory was minimal. The Cust Rep also proceeded to request the real estate house listing so as to ensure that our inventory provided was a good match to the visuals in the listing. She viewed the listing and confirmed such and stated that we were in good shape and that the balance should not fluctuate too much.
Order_Number:

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment We understand that an 'estimate? is exactly that and would expect to pay a little more or less once the job was complete but by charging us an additional $2,148.52, which is 62% more than the original estimate is totally unreasonable and unjust. (Original Estimate = $3,462.58; Final Bill = $5,611.10) Our good faith offer at which we would be willing to pay in order to settle this disputed balance. The amount we are willing to offer is broken out as follows: Deposit - $700 (paid 9/17/18) 1st Installment - $1,400 (paid 9/24/18) 2nd Installment - $1,900 (unpaid) Total Job Payment: $4,000

MS.

Per our conversation you had told me this had been sent prior to the settlement we made and you signed and sent back. Please acknowledge that this has been done and that you were satisfied thank you.

Our movers did not arrive when they said they would and did not return our calls until after the date had passed. In May 2018, we hired Road Runners Moving and Storage to conduct an interstate move between Boston and New Orleans. The sales rep I spoke with was ***. We also used Road Runners to transport our car and had issues with that as well, but not as egregious as the move. At the time we signed our contract in mid-May, we paid a $600 deposit. We were given a discounted rate for allowing a 3 day pick up window. Movers were to come between 7/19-7/21 and we were told we would get 3 days notice before the movers came. This would be a full service move. When the pick up window dhrew close, we did not hear from anyone and had to contact Road Runner repeatedly. Finally we were told by *** that our moving date was 7/21 and that we would be contacted on 7/20 by our mover *** before the end of the business day with an estimated arrival window. We never heard from *** on either 7/20 or 7/21 our moving day. We made several frantic calls to Road Runner which were not answered. Interestingly enough, we did receive a call back from a local Boston company also called Road Runner moving, and they noted that they frequently received calls for the Miami-based company for movers failing to arrive when promised. After hearing nothing and the movers not arriving, my husband and I made hasty alternative arrangements. On 7/22, I finally received a call from ***, informing me he would be in town the next day and could start the job the following late afternoon. I was shocked and informed him he was supposed to arrive the previous day, and he denied this, insisting that the arrival date he was given was 7/23. We declined at that time since alternate plans had been made and we were already violating our lease agreement since we had not vacated on the 21st as we had intended and could not accrue fees for missing any further delays. *** was upset, and within 5 minutes of ending our call, we received a call from ***, apologizing for "a miscommunication" with our driver but wishing for us to still use Road Runner. We declined. We subsequently tried to get our deposit back, but Road Runner refused. Our credit card company also tried reaching out on our behalf but were unsuccessful. I have uploaded part of our contract agreement as well as proof of paid deposit, but can provide the rest if needed as only 5 pictures could be uploaded.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) We are seeking the return of our $600 deposit as services promised were never rendered as agreed

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Oct 26, 2018

We are sorry that the company did not arrive on time due to circumstances beyond their control. We have contacted the company again and asked them to refund the money to us so we in turn can return it to the customer without success.

Cancellation Policy:
You are able to cancel your move at any time. Your deposit is 100% non-refundable at any time after reservation, unless otherwise indicated on your order. If you decide you want to add additional items and/or increase the space allotted for your move, you are responsible for the additional cost incurred by the added space and charged at the rate agreed upon in this contract. If you would like to receive additional products or services and are not willing to pay the agreed upon price, you have the choice to maintain this contract and receive the services and/or products that you have already purchase or you may cancel your move. If you decide to cancel this move because you do not want to pay for additional services, your deposit remains non-refundable.

Once your move is scheduled, space is reserved with a carrier and truck routes are determined. The cancellation policy is in place to compensate carriers for losses resulting from such cancellations. All Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Road Runner Moving Service. Deposits may be used or applied as a deposit on a future move as long as the move is picked up within (12) twelve months of the initial deposit date, and the move is still one arranged by Road Runner Moving Service.

Road Runner Moving Service makes no expressed or implied warranties or guarantees concerning pickup or delivery time or the location of a carrier to provide the transportation service requested. If Road Runner Moving Service is unable to assign an agent to your move before the scheduled pickup date and no transportation has been provided then you will receive a refund of your deposit as full satisfaction of this agreement releasing Road Runner Moving Service from any liability by canceling the move.

Customer Response • Nov 02, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We understand that extenuating circumstances happen that can alter plans. However, it is the lack of communication on the day of the supposed move that was most unacceptable. Had we been updated regarding a potential delay in the move, we would not be in our current position. Instead, we heard nothing and received no answer despite multiple attempts to reach out regarding our moving plans. As this is common practice with scammers, silence from scheduled movers on the day of the move led us to seek alternate arrangements promptly.

The cancellation policy put forth by Road Runner in the reply above indicates the position of refunding a deposit if no transportation has been provided. While we appreciate Road Runner's efforts to also contact the carrier they contracted to service our move, Road Runner should be responsible for bearing the cost of refunding the deposit if the carrier will not. To shift this burden onto the customer and not make us whole in this regard is unacceptable, especially when we currently are not pursuing the difference in costs between the quoted move we expected to receive from Road Runner and the higher costs to arrange for last minute movers.

Furthermore, in the future, Road Runner should also seek to be more transparent with its clients regarding the use of third party carriers, as we were told explicitly that Road Runner had its own fleet of trucks and did not use third party companies through our conversations with Mr. *** To mislead customers by using third parties carriers, then deny responsibility for the poor service provided by those companies is deeply troubling. We would still like for Road Runner to refund our $600 deposit.

Customer Response • Nov 14, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Since the third party company contracted to perform our move is not responding, will Road Runner be willing to directly make us whole by refunding the $600 deposit directly instead? We would appreciate Road Runner being more proactive in helping to arrive at a solution instead of putting the onus on the unresponsive third party they used.

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Nov 16, 2018

Again we are not trying to re-direct this but the contract that Ms. signed for pick up and delivery dates is as follows
PICK UP AND DELIVERY SCHEDULE: Pickup and delivery dates are not guaranteed unless the optional Premium Guaranteed Service (P.G.S.) is purchased. Standard Service (S.S.) period is up to a maximum of thirty business weekdays, not including storage time, beginning on the first date indicated as available for delivery (not the date of pickup). The date indicated as "1st available for delivery" is first date of the delivery window and not the promised delivery date. Road Runner estimated delivery period is up to thirty business days from date indicated as first available for delivery. All Estimated time of arrivals are subject to change depending on many industries factors such as traffic, weather conditions, unforeseen mechanical problems or unexpected services to be rendered with orders scheduled before you (mostly applies on second, third or fourth shifts). Note: Road Runner will not discount any account due to any delays listed above. We will keep the customer informed verbally on the move date with a new / revised ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) depending on our schedule.

The events were not in our or the company that was to pick up the truck was dispatched and was compensated for the driver and the helpers to pick up Ms.. We as all companies do our best to meet the dates but they are not guaranteed and the deposit is not refundable. We are sorry that the events that occurred caused this problem but unlike local moves these crews are dispatched from hundreds of miles away which is why the deposit is so high. We are very sorry but at this time we are unable to do anything else.

Dishonesty during sell process. Breach of contract. Lack of responsiveness to resolve issue. Lying to customer. Financial damage and emotional distress
In May 2018, I received a quote for a move from VA to FL. The sales rep was ***. The moving estimate number is XXXXXXX. I told *** very clearly that my moving date had to be July 22 as I was leaving the state on July 23. She assured verbally and in writing that July 22 was going to be the pick up date. She said that she'd give me a discount, a "flexibility discount ' , but it didn't mean that I had a window for pick up. She assured me again and again that the pick up date was going to be July 22. I trusted her word and signed the contract. The Friday before the move, I called the company and told another rep that my move was scheduled for 7/23 and I needed to know the time the movers were going to be showing up. She told me that on 7/22(Sunday), they would be calling me. She never said that there was a 2- day window. On Sunday 7/22 , the movers didn't show up and no one called me. I called the company but they were closed and left numerous messages (about 20) with my name and number. I also emailed *** about the issue since she was the one who lied to me to get her commission.
Monday morning 7/23 was the day I was supposed to vacate my apartment. At 9:15 am I called the company again because no one had returned my call. I was supposed to vacate my apartment before 12:00pm and take a train to FL. *** never replied to my email and she said that the movers were going to show up between 12pm -6pm because they had an issue in the road. She lied again because apparently she put in my contract that I had a 2 day window. She didn't even have the decency to return my urgent call and email. She did not care about the losses I was going to suffer if my furniture didn't get picked up on Monday before noon. I talked to a supervisor, ***, and he said that there was a 2 day window and I explained to him that *** had lied to me about that. She never disclosed it during any of the emails or phone conversations we had. He said that the movers had called me , which was another lie! It turned out that the movers had my number wrong, but on the contract , my phone number was correct. It was not my fault they wrote it down wrong for the movers. I was very upset and I asked him for a refund. First, he refused by saying that the movers were going to be at my place between noon and 6pm. I told him I was going to be gone by then and probably had to throw all my belongings in the dumpster since I needed to vacate the apartment by noon and leave to catch my train to FL. He expected me to cancel my trip to wait for the movers who should have showed up the day before as *** had stayed over and over again. I forwarded to him the emails from *** showing that she had lied to me. He then refunded me the $309 deposit but there wasn't even an apology from him or ***. They couldn't care less about the situation I was in because of their dishonesty. I had to call several moving companies in the area out of desperation trying to save all my belongings so I could vacate the apartment and not miss my train. I was transporting my vehicle in the train and I had to be at the station 2 hours before departure. I was lucky to find a moving company in VA (***) and they showed up in less than an hour to pick up my things. I had no other choice but to pay $4000 to them. I have the receipt to prove that payment.
I want RoadRunner to reimburse me $4000 and that's not even counting the emotional distress I suffered from their dishonesty. They are basically running a scam. This company can be reached at ***. Their address is ***, Orlando, Fl. Their DOT # : *** and MC#***. They have other addresses in Fl , but the Orlando address is the one on my contract. *** is the supervisor I talked to. If I'm not able to get compensated for the damages , I'll seek legal counsel and sue the company. Those people should not be running a business. They're scammers.

Desired Outcome

I had to pay $4000 to the movers that I had to call at the last minute to come and pick up my furniture the day I was supposed to vacate my apartment. This was all because Road Runner did not show up on 07/22 as we had agreed and it had been confirmed by ***, the sales rep several times by phone and email. I want to be reimbursed $4000 because that is what I paid the other moving company. I have the receipt to prove such payment.

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Aug 03, 2018

We are sorry for the miscommunication. I have attached the electronically signed contract with the customer, and was happy to accept the discount of $302.00. Our systems do use the first date as a pickup date but reserve the right in case of things beyond our control an extra day to pickup which was the case here. The customer was contacted and told of the delay by our regional dispatcher to advise the customer that the truck was being delayed because of the prior customers overage. The customer clearly signed the contract for both days and was refunded the money out of courtesy that is also included below. She never did send the emails I attempted to get them from the server but when a move is cancelled the do keep them for more than 30 days. As far as the phone calls that were during a period that Comcast was constantly down but at that point it was up to the route dispatcher to keep in touch. We regret what happened but do not understand why the dates were not made for that Saturday and Sunday instead. To date I have not gotten any of the emails which I would have like to have seen and could take corrective actions against the sales person.

Customer Response • Aug 06, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Of course I DO NOT accept their response. They are lying again. I have uploaded my response with all the details and stated clearly that if I don't get my money reimbursed as seen on the invoice from the other company, I will sue the company. My attorney has already received all the evidence and we'll forward with it by no later than August 30.
I have not added my reviews of the business on Yelp, the business's website, Facebook, and Google, but I will do it if there's no resolution from this complaint. This company should not be in business!!!

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Aug 21, 2018

We have already addressed this to the customer directly but I will add it on the record again here. Yes we are sorry she was under a misunderstanding and that she had to spend $4000 to move. The sales representative did confirm that here pickup day was set but once again as with all but Premium guaranteed service (PICK UP AND DELIVERY SCHEDULE: Pickup and delivery dates are not guaranteed unless the optional Premium Guaranteed Service (P.G.S.) is purchased.) there is always a backup pickup date which she did sign for. We have advised her to please show the copy of the contract that she signed to her lawyer prior to any litigation.

The issue was not resolved to my satisfaction, but I'm not willing to keep wasting my time going back and forth with such a dishonest company and representatives. I'm disappointed at how the Revdex.com handled this complaint too.

senior citizen with medical issues that has medical supplies in moving van that is nowhere to be found.

delivery date-July 25 at latest and still have not received my furniture and medical supplies. Company has repeatedly lied about when they will deliver my shipment.
They had said it is in Maryland but I still havent received anything
They also lied about how much their services cost and charged me double what they originally quoted.
*** was the sales representative, he will not call me back.
I am on a fixed income and this company scammed me

Desired Outcome

I want my shipment!!!

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Jul 31, 2018

We have spoken with this customer and offered an additional discount for arriving late we only just found out that there were medical supplies and it will be arriving this week 8/2. The actual charges went up by a little over $1250 for an extra 225 cubic feet that was picked up from the original estimate of $2159 the delver time will be 11 business days due to some problems on route with personal and equipment. Again we are sorry for the delay and hope the discount we offered will help. We always make note of medical supplies that are needed but were not aware of this fact.

This company changed prices of service after picking up my belongings, stole my 60" 3D TV, and all of my glass dishes/china.
The purpose of this claim is to identify the items that were damaged or lost during my move with Road Runner Moving/ Better Rate Movers. First I'd like to state that both of these companies target innocent people during vulnerable times of moving. The company I started this move with, Road Runner Movers, worked with Better Rate Movers to transport my things from Arlington, VA to Richmond, TX with a "guaranteed" rate to only scam me at the time of pick-up/delivery and change the price. When I refused to pay the movers the inflated price and not tip the movers (after being told that I should give them a 10% tip by their lead mover), my 51" 3-D Samsung television, dishes/china & glasses miraculously came up missing.
When my things arrived to the storage unit on 1/22/18, the movers informed me that they notified the team in New York that items were missing from my Bingo Sheet (inventory list of delivered items), no one informed me of these items. The Better Rate Movers scam artist manager, *** (the name provided), ironically threaten me that I would not receive my items if I failed to pay. After nearly an hour of debating, I agreed to pay half of the $450 in "additional" charges only to later find out that my T.V., dishes/china and glasses were missing and my boxes were destroyed.

Desired Outcome

I would like for this company to compensate (refund) me for my missing 3D TV & dishes.

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Jun 25, 2018

Once again she needs to complete the claims process first and then we can see what is left and work with her.

Customer Response • Jun 29, 2018

Their insurance company has given me a quote of $72 for the things that I have lost. So there isn't left to complete. There is no way that all of my missing dishes/ glassware, degrees/ diplomas, decorations, and 55" TV is only worth $72. I do not agree with their reimbursement amount.

New City Moving & Storgae Response • Jul 02, 2018

I am not sure if we have already replied to this one but she but go through claims before we can take any further action

I have broken property resulting from a move that they are not repairing/replacing. I was misled about the insurance protection.
I reserved a move with Rodger, when I asked about insurance he said I was covered up to $10,000. He advised me that if I needed more than that I would need to purchase a policy. I was told what to expect with the process and was given incorrect information. I was told I would pay for the reservation at that time which ws $450 on my debit card. I was told $500 would be debited at the time of pickup and then again at delivery. I was told I needed a check/cash, and the full $1000 was due when they arrived- I paid by check 3/29/18. Then they attempted to charge me first for packing/tape-which was to be included. Then they said it was because I took more space than estimated. Then they agreed that I was correct and should only have a balance of $78. The day of delivery (5/4/18) I was told they were incorrect I owed them $278 and only cash/money order is accepted- I did not agree with these charges, but paid cash. I have a 55" flat screen TV that was 3 months old when they picked it up that now has a shattered screen. I had 5 picture frames with the glass busted, and they never delivered my ironing board or Christmas tree that I just purchased for last Christmas, also 3 months old. In the fine print of the contract and by speaking with the claim company, I did not have insurance and they will only give me $0.60/lb of lost/damaged property. I have made 3 attempts (1 email, and 2 via USPS) to get the claims company my claim form, they inturn say they haven't received my paperwork. He informed me today I will only get about $20 for my broken TV as it goes by weight. This is NOT acceptable. I paid the price they increased it to, I paid them the entire balance as they told me. But they will not be responsible for their companies negligence and mishandling of my property. I was assured by Rodger, the salesman that the price would not change if I stuck to my end of the agreement, which I did, and that was a lie. I was told my property would be covered if there happened to be damaged/lost, and I am now finding out that this was also a lie.

Desired Outcome

I want my 55" TV, and broken picture frames replaced, I want my ironing board and Christmas tree either found and delivered or replaced.

We have been trying to work with Ms. for some time. I do not know where she was told we have $10,000 in insurance our trucks carry $750,000 if they are in an accident but the individual insurance is up to the customer and she did select the free insurance which is listed below along with the optional full insurance which she declined. Below is the email our claims department sent to her this week and excerpts from her contract. The difference in price was 55 cubic feet of additional goods that she authorized us to take. I am not sure what else we can do at this point until she gets the claims company the information they need We are very sorry for the items that were damaged and missing. We have put a trace of the missing items and informed her that she should also list them in her claims. This process does take time and again we are sorry but it is a manual process. She has been made aware of all these issues when we spoke and does not agree but understands but said she already made the compalint.
I can assure you that the appropriate repercussions have been taken in regards to the issues you incurred.
Documentation can be provided upon request.
I hope we can come to a quick resolution.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have written down what was verbally told to me about the insurance. The salesman said unless I have more than $10,000 of property value I wouldn't need to purchase more insurance, it was about my property not the trucks insurance. I have tried to get the claim form to the claim company 3 different times. They did not accept my online submission. I mailed it, they said they did not receive it, and I sent it a second time. They are still saying they have not received either one! I do not know what more they expect me to do. Again, even when they do receive my claim they are telling me I will only get $20.00 for my TV!! This is not acceptable. My TV was over $400 and was only 3 months old when they took it on their possession. I have made 3 attempts to get them what they asked from me, I'm not sure what more they want me to do. It's ridiculous I have to do all of this in result to their company's negligence! Everyday for the last almost 2 months I have been on the phone or email attempting to get this rectified. I am greatly inconvenienced by this number 1, not having my belongings in operable form, or not having them at all. And 2 having to constantly try and locate my claim and find out the status while going back and fourth with both the moving company and the claims company! Maybe the salesman who gave me the information and made the contract with me should be retrained on the insurance policy as he will not respond to me at all!
