Review: I had ordered a trail size Advanced Serum called Age Renew Skin Care. Called and canceled twice. They claim they did not receive the first call only the second and therefore, I am being charged $89 for a 1oz.bottle of something that I don't like and does not work. This is definitely a SCAM!!!They did finally offer to credit my charge card for approximately $34.This just makes me sick to my stomach!Desired Settlement: I want my full $89 refund!

Response:

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Age Renew Skin Care has been resolved.

Age Renew Skin Care refunded my $89. Thank You.

Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: Order number with company [redacted] I applied for a free trial 0ffer of [redacted] advanced serum from this company via the website, gave my card details which were implied as just to cover postage but then found that £89.71 had been taken from my account. My husband contacted them and was informed that I had signed up to pay £89.71 per month for further supplies as I had said I had agreed to the terms & conditions that were buried in small print at the very end of their website. I notice other people have been caught the same way. I have now cancelled the order but was told I was a few days late to cancel it as it was after 14 days so they will not refund the £89.71 even though I have offered to return the product. I have reported this matter to UK trading standards and applied to my bank to see if they can get the money back.

The basis of my claim is that this company is not conforming to UK trading laws and therefore any order is illegal and invalid.. The consumer contracts(information,,cancellation &additional charges) regulations 2013 are not being adhered to. These regulations state that distance contracts (which cover internet trading) should be confirmed on durable media (ie letter or email etc) and should state company name and geographical location, what has been ordered and the cost of said items. All I had was an email with the company logo and email address and phone number and it just said "your order has been successfully placed & sent to warehouse for processing". there was no mention of geographical address or that I had signed up for this product at a cost of £89.71 per month because they know that if they did this 99% of people would realise that they had been caught out and would cancel. The call centre did offer a refund of 30% but this is now a matter of principle. I want full retribution.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: refund in full of the £89.71

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered renew serum on trial basis for 4.95. I saw this on [redacted]. I assumed if I wanted more of the product I would order it. I then got my credit card bill and was charged 98.41 twice. I found out later when 14 days were up I got charged 98.41 for my free trial. Another box was shipped to me and after talking to customer service I was told I would get a refund if I sent it back. I had not opened product so I sent it back. Now I am being told I do not get a refund because it was opened which I never did. I feel I deserve a refund of 196.82. This is false advertising if you assume you are trying it for free. 14 days does not give you enough time to see if you like it.

Review: I filled out a survey online and [redacted] skin care was one of the choices. It was supposed to be free except for postage costs. Instead they sent one bottle of their product (charged for postage, OK so far), but then they sent another bottle a couple of days later. When I checked my credit card I found they had charged me $89 for the second bottle. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. That's when I found out that they had signed me up for an automatic monthly charge for a new bottle each month. My bank was able to get them to cancel the automatic subscription. However during that call, the [redacted] rep told us another bottle was being sent out as we spoke and there was no way to stop it. Working with the bank, I was able to get a "return authorization number" and when that bottle showed up, I sent it back. My bank credited me for the first $89 and for the $89 + postage for the bottle I sent back.

The problem now is that 3 months later they have recharged me the $89 for the second bottle. They at first contended that they never received the bottle I sent back and that if I didn't have a post office tracking number there was nothing they could do. Then they said, oh no, that charge is for a 14-day trial which I signed up for. At no time did I sign up for any trial of this product. It was supposed to be an incentive for completing a survey. (The [redacted] representative lied to my bank and said there was no survey, but it is confirmed that she lied based on Another complaint from a person who also took the survey, as noted on a Revdex.com complaint about this company.) the representative refused to take back the product and refused to refund my money.

This company has very unethical, if not illegal, practices and should not be allowed to operate across state or country lines like this. I believe that promising a free product and then trapping a person in an automatic monthly payment is fraudulent. This company has gone to great lengths to disguise itself and make it extremely difficult for someone to contact them or resolve any dispute. Furthermore, when the product arrives, there is no invoice or other documentation included in the package to alert the customer to the fact that this will be a recurring charge. The return address is somewhere in Greenville, South Carolina, and when I googled their website, the NY address that the Revdex.com has doesn't even show up on their website--corporate headquarters are in East Sussex, UK. The bank offered to refund half the charge $44,50) but the bank shouldn't have to take the blame for this.Desired Settlement: I want a complete refund of the $89 they charged me for this bogus 14-day trial. I want to reimburse my bank for its $44.50 also.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by New Health Brands Ltd. regarding complaint ID [redacted].The company did send about 12 pages of documents to my bank on or about June *. I received copies of them from my bank three weeks later.Half of these documents were screen shots of their web page which I never saw/visited because I was responding to an online survey and a free incentive for completing the survey. One of the screen shots listed the prices for the product in English pounds rather than US dollars, not applicable to me in the US. A couple of the other pages consisted of verification that they sent out the product tome, which I do not dispute. A final page listed [redacted]'s rules for companies. The final straw for me with this was a completed form that the company contended I completed which also contained a package tracking number, and an IP address. The company had inserted a note on this page saying that the IP address was verified by I-Spy Network. This is a lie. This IP address is the IP address of a cable company in Hicksville New York, thousands of miles away from my computer. I would venture to say that this cable company is the ISP for this company in New York. None of the so-called evidence that the company submitted to my bank was ever seen by me before my bank sent me copies. My bank recognized that these documents did not make for a coherent case and has permanently removed the charges from my credit account. Sincerely,[redacted]

This company obviously has to resort to tricking and scamming consumers into purchasing it's products. When you have never ordered anything or given them any debit card information to charge you for anything and yet receive product and are outrageously charged repeatedly, there is a problem. When they refuse to address the issue and refund your money there is an even bigger problem!
