Review: I purchased on 6-9-2013 A Nixon Rotolog watch from [redacted] in Mequon, WI I was informed upon purchasing the watch, that the battery had died. I was told I could either let them send it in to Nixon to get replaced, or I could purchase the watch and handle it myself. I purchased the watch, and had the battery replaced. Upon replacing the battery the backlight still did not work, I asked about the possibility of returning it. I was told all sales are final. I attempted to have the band re sized, as I was willing to deal with the lack of backlighting. I took the watch to the Times Square Watches kiosk location in Southridge mall, the individual there was able to replace the battery, but told me he was unable to re size the band. I took it to a different times square, this time inside brookfield square. The gentleman there also told me he was unable to re size the watch. I then contacted Nixon, who informed me I was able to send them the watch to be re sized. I then sent it into Nixon, who inspected the watch and is telling me the band is damaged and needs to be replaced. They however no longer produce this watch and would have to replace it with a different color or type of watch. And that it would cost me an additional $50 for the replacement. So now not only have I paid for a brand new watch less than a month ago, but I took it to a shop to get re sized, and when that was unable to happen I sent it in. I don't see why I should have to pay additional funds to replace a watch I just purchased in the first place. I would like a full refund for the watch, or the watch in the color I purchased, in full proper working order.Desired Settlement: I would be happy with either a full refund for the watch, and all shipping costs incurred. Or I would like a new fully functioning watch in the Teak wood inlay that I originally purchased.

Review: I mailed a defective watch to Nixon 7-3-14 and was advised watch should be repaired and returned within 10 days. my son purchased watch in Rockford il and within 1.5 months watch stopped working so I contacted[redacted] to get options on repair or replacement. I have sent numerous emails and they advised me due to inventory repair work orders have been behind schedule. it is now 8-13-14 and no watch and my last email to company work order [redacted]1 was computer reply saying due to unusually high activity they are behind in repair. I sent the watch 7-3 but their work order says received 7-21. package sent ups for tracking and it should not take 18 days for ups to deliver.

company has failed to respond or repair watch and return in working order.

if watch had worked for 1-2 years then stopped working I would understand but not to stop working after 1.5 months - sons graduation gift. have not been impressed with company and when do google search to try to find Co president or someone to resolve issue come up blank. it should not take 1.5 months to repair watch and for the 150.00 we paid for watch it should last longer than 1.5 months.Desired Settlement: as it appears company not able to repair in timely manner we would like full refund of purchase price of Nixon faulty watch

Review: In May 2015 I bought the latest surfing tide watch from Nixon. Cost was $300 and the watch was supposed to give information relevant to surfing worldwide using your phone to update info automatically. The watch used a company named [redacted] to give this information. Before buying the watch I checked with Nixon by phone to see if my home island of [redacted] was listed and I was told yes.

When I received the watch I found that the info given by [redacted] through my watch was not for a designated surf spot as is the case with every other location [redacted] gives info for but gave me a spot name of [redacted] which I knew as a thirty year surfing resident does not exist. I contacted Nixon and had to leave numerous voicemails before I finally got to talk to someone, they had no clue as to the [redacted] location and told me they would call me back which they did a week later and then directed me to deal with [redacted] directly and Nixon brushed me off. I made numerous calls to [redacted] before I even got someone who listened to my problem but the individual had no clue as to what or where [redacted] was and they said they would call me back but never did.

About a month later I come to find out that sitting 100 miles south of us is a buoy named [redacted] so [redacted] was using this. Problem is that our predominant swell pattern is northerly and a reading from a buoy 100 miles south of us is incorrect. All of the islands north of us which is twenty miles away use a buoy to our north. Two weeks ago while on [redacted] in my phone I saw that they are still using that buoy but now list a local spot name [redacted] on island. which is correct but does anybody contact me to tell me this, no. The next problem arises with the watch when three months after purchase I take a surf trip to an island north of us which is another country and I do not take my iPhone along due to [redacted] wanting $64 extra for the month trip on top of the $170 a month I already pay and $1.00 a minute with data charges more.

We had WI FI available at the hotel but the watch cannot use WI FI and as we found out it also cannot use Android systems. Upon returning from my trip it takes me two weeks of calling and the given Nixon call number that originally worked from [redacted] now no longer will connect through to Nixon. I email them numerous times requesting they call me and they never do and the day before thanksgiving I email again and get an immediate email reply and I email back explaining my phone difficulty and beg that customer service person to please call me now. Never get a call. After thanksgiving I call Nixon and tell them I want to return this watch for full refund and that I am going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. Days later I get a call from a person named [redacted] who says he is one of the watches designers, his number is [redacted]

After numerous calls to and from him with him refusing to return the watch due to it being out of the allowed return time and I explaining that I was over that return time period just in the time spent with them and [redacted] trying to get a surf location on island instead a buoy. [redacted] tells me that they will not take the watch back also because the watch will work anywhere in the world with your phone and for free if you put your phone in Airplane Mode. This is totally incorrect as my iPhone 6 when in airplane mode cannot receive or transmit data. He also tells me that If I travel to another country to surf that I should ask a resident who has an iPhone to download the AP for me and sync my watch my response was who would let a stranger do this and also that I would have to meet up with that person everyday to sync watch and update info.

I feel this watch was not thoroughly tested before they released it for sale and is just another example of the product name going on the merchandise before the quality goes into the product. The watch is in brand new condition and I would like to return this for a full refund. I have all above mentioned email correspondence saved and can copy you. Nowhere in the owners manual does it say that you have to have an apple product in order to use watch.Desired Settlement: Return watch for a full refund

Response:

Hello,

Review: Dear Nixon,

I just wanted to make someone aware of the disappointment we have experienced with our new watch.

My service order number for your reference: [redacted]

My Son bought me the watch for my Birthday on Monday Nov.2 from the Sector-9 store who he skates for and skates with [redacted], Mr. [redacted], etc. We are also regulars at [redacted], T-Street, etc. I have surfed for over 30 years and my son for 5 now. Anyhow, my Son Wrapped the watch for my birthday and I was stoked to have a Nixon watch for surfing and our travel adventures! After opening the watch my Son began to set the time, date, etc. and one of the buttons popped out. When he found the button on the floor, he attempted to put it back in and now the button is stuck. I did not even get to try the watch on. He was really upset and has vowed to never buy, recommend, or own a Nixon watch. I mellowed him out and took the watch to your headquarters in Encinitas and found out that you would not replace it, but send it to your repair center and it will take 15-20 business days and I may have to pay for the repair.

To say the least I am extremely dissatisfied. I have broken Ray Ban's that were years old and not only got new ones, but sent me newly release versions for free. I have also broken a DaKind leash in 12' surf at blacks and that was totally my fault, but they send me a new leash, a one of a kind shirt, stickers, and a hat.

Don't get me wrong that I want anything for free, but that my never worn watch is being repaired make my watch used before it was even new. That it's not been replaced with a new one is wrong. A button that popped off also worries me that this watch will never survive the rigors of my style of surfing. I have always just worn a Timex Ironman watch from Target for around $30 and yes, I lose it every 2 years or so and just go get a new one.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm bhing, but my Son was heartbroken that his birthday present to me was a bust.Desired Settlement: I would like a new in the box watch with a fresh warranty.

Response:

Hi [redacted],

Review: My Nixon watch is damaged and needs repair. I went to several dealers in the area and they reported the only way to repair it is to go through the 'on line website.' I could do this because the website is complicated and confusion and I don't have the exact model name of my watch. I tried calling Nixon for assistance ###-###-#### on 8/1/13 in the AM and was on hold with operate for 15 minutes and could not get through to anyone.Desired Settlement: All I want is the name and location of a watch repair shop in the Denver area that will either fix my watch or send it in to Nixon for repair. The website is too complicated and confusing and I don't have enough info to fill it out completely, and I cannot get through to anyone on the Nixon telephone help line.

Review: I bought a nixson watch on the website less than a year ago my phone number is [redacted] I originally ordered the watch online which was originally a Corporal SS, then there was a shipping issue, I did not like that model, I called the store in [redacted] to exchange they would not take it back, I had to get someone from customer service to call the store to give them permission to give me another watch, I then was upsold to a [redacted] which I liked alot, then I started getting rashes under the watch itself, it was causing skin irritation it was so bad I had to go to a dermatologist due to something in that watch, and or metal of the gold color. I had a rash which is also one of the reasons I was embarrassed, and this is not the first nixon I have owned, I have bought a few and I tried to return the watch just under the 14 days and they would not take it back. I had to give the watch away and lost $500 on a watch, just like throwing it down the toilet.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement for the same type of watch the 48-20 in all gunmetal.

Hello,We have called Mr. [redacted] at the phone number provided and left a voicemail to call back. I am seeking further information regarding the point of sale and any/all Nixon, Inc. transactions with Mr. [redacted]. I left my direct phone number to call me back. Review: I sent this watch back to Nixon April of last year because the movement, it's an automatic watch, was not functioning properly. I got the watch back, and May of this year I went to set the date and the crown came right out. It's supposed to be a lifetime warranty on the movement. I sent it back and they tell me that a third party opened the watch due to a missing screw and fingerprint. I never took this watch to an outside party. I tell them this repeatedly, but they refuse to stand behind the warranty. Not to mention in the course of the conversation, [redacted], the service czar even tells me that it would be very difficult to find a jeweler to take the case back off. Originally they told me that only one person worked on the watch. Mr. [redacted], then he proceeds to tell me that it was a Mr. [redacted] that worked on the watch. Which is it? I thought it was one person. We got nowhere and Nixon returned the watch to me. I received the watch and took it to two different jewelers in the area that work on the higher end watches. Both tell me they didn't have the tools to remove the case back. There is no way that a third party could have left a finger print or forgot screws if they can't get the case back off.Desired Settlement: I just want the watch repaired.

Review: My Husband is an active military and was on deployment when I ordered the Black Nixon Trader on 1/23/14. He likes watches and I wanted to surprise him with a gift when he comes home to show him my appreciation for his hard work and serving the country. On 1/24/14, I got an email from Nixon that my order has been shipped and should be delivered within 3-5 business days. I was so excited. I tracked the package pretty much everyday to check the status. On 1/30/14, it says that my package was delivered and left at my front door. In my mind I was like "why would they just leave an item that cost $1,000 at the front door and not asked for my signature?!". I rushed home because I got worried. Sure enough I got home but there was no package at my front door. I went to my apartment complex office and checked if they received a package for me. They said no. I was freaking out and so mad at this point. I called UPS right away and told them that I didn't receive my package. They advised me to contact Nixon directly so I did. I told the customer service representative about what happened. He said he will file a claim with UPS regarding the missing package and it would take 10 business days to process. I got a call from UPS on 2/10/14 about the claim. She said she will release the refund and let Nixon know. I called Nixon the next day and followed up on my claim. Ofcourse I was told that it would take another 10 business days for me to get my refund back. I was like all I want is the watch and I need it sooner than 10 business days because my husband is supposed to be back on 2/18/14. He said I had to wait for the refund and repurchase the watch. I was so mad!!! I said all I wanted is to surprise my husband. But I guess that's not happening now with all of this mess that they've caused. And it got worst. I saw the refund back to my account on 2/16/14. So I placed another order on Nixon website for the same watch on 2/18/14. I got the email confirmation stating that it takes 3 business days to process the order. The next day, I got and email from Nixon stating that my order has been CANCELLED. I was furious! I called Nixon and asked why. I was on hold for 13 mins. The representative came back and asked me if this is the 2nd watch I tried to purchase. I was like yes because you guys screwed it up the first time. So he asked for the 1st order #. After providing it to him, I was placed on hold again. He came back and said purchasing 2 items using my same bank account sent them a red flag that's why my order was cancelled. But he said they cleared it in their system and I can place ANOTHER order now. I was like "this is ridiculous! All I freaking want is the watch for my husband!" He said yah unfortunately you have to place another order. I told him I can't because they already deducted the amount out of my account. He said it shouldn't be because the order was cancelled. I told him I just checked my account and the money wasn't there. He said to contact my bank and ask about it. Now I don't have the watch that I want and I still have to deal with my bank for the debited amount. My point is I didn't feel a valuable customer at all. All I want is to get my husband a surprise gift. And what I got is just all this mess that Nixon has caused me. This was supposed to be a 2nd Nixon watch that I purchased. But after this mess, I would never consider buying their product anymore. I am still now dealing with my bank trying to get my money back to my account.Desired Settlement: Whatever you think I deserve. I am just so unhappy with the service that I got.

Review: I submitted my watch for a band repair on 6/15/15 as order #[redacted], The package was delivered on 6/18/15 USPS [redacted]. Nixon did not even acknowledge receipt of the watch until 6/29/15. 11 days after the package was delivered which exceeded their guaranteed processing time.

I received no update for another two weeks until I called on 7/14/15 (a month after submitting my order) and spoke to [redacted] (extension [redacted]). [redacted] was high combative and unapologetic about the processing delays, he continuously made excuses for the delay and stated that there was a warning posted (on the website for 2 weeks) about an inventory delay between July 1st and July 9th which impacted my watch repair. I informed him that my repair was submitted before this period and that I received no such warning, he acknowledged that this was true, and that the timeline exceeded their guaranteed processing time and did not apologize or offer any recourse. He then confirmed my fears that the repair had yet to begin; he refused to give a timeline as to when it would be complete.

He said that the two week website slowdown notice was company policy, and that it would “have to be revisited by management”. This company is a nightmare, and makes promises of watch repair timelines that it cannot meet online just to get customers to ship the watch. Total disgrace of a company, posting inaccurate repair timelines on their website and then making excuses about not meeting them .If the watch wasn't such poor quality to begin with the band would not have worn out (and begun to just fall off) and this repair would not have even been necessary.Desired Settlement: Delivery of order as outlined free of charge or compensation / total watch replacement for the time wasted and inaccurate timeline advertised on their site and presented

Review: I purchased a watch from this company that was one hundred fifty dollars online and free shipping for orders over one hundred dollars. The purchase I made was a birthday gift I needed by that Friday and I had made a purchase the previous Wednesday. I paid for EXTRA two day shipping so I could have the item Friday like I needed. Being that I paid for 2 day shipping I had expected it within two days of course but I received the watch in 6 days total. I had called the company on the day I expected my shipment and ask that they please cancel the item and refund the money back to me. The gentleman on the phone said they could not do that and that I needed to receive the item first, fill out a return form, and send it back together. The man stated he would be sending me the return form that same day I had spoken with him. On the fifth day of waiting I had so far received no refund form and no watch. I did however receive an email claiming that I was advised before purchasing that items take 1-3 business days processing before shipping out. WRONG no where on the site does it state "please allow 1-3 days processing". it does not state that while viewing an item, while checking out with an item, nor does it state those terms before or after purchasing. I received notice of these so called told terms two days after my purchase. After this I decided to email a complaint letter, a very long email, to which no one returned my email except an automated email saying "we appreciate your email". also " we will be contacting you with a response over the next business day or sooner, hang tight." and to "please contact the company for a return authorization number". Originally I did want to return the watch for a full refund but I called the company leaving a message asking if I could just receive the 15 dollars I had paid for the two day shipping and I would simply keep the watch. I never received a phone call back or a real person emailing me to express any concern for the issues occurring. No one EVER contacted me back in any way. I checked the ups site tracker to see how the company paid for shipping and they did pay for two day which in the delivery commitment column says "guaranteed delivery by end of second business day. I received this watch in six business days and not including the weekend I received it in 4 business days. After checking the tracker once more I noticed it had an added detail line . This line said that on September 24,2013 "a guaranteed service refund has been submitted for this package". I have gotten no notifications, phone calls, emails, refunds, or checks. In my last email complaint I mentioned the fact you could only purchase these watches from a store called "[redacted]" or from the original company and e wanting to be a loyal customer I went with the original brand name company, "Nixon Inc. By far the worst company to order from because of delivery issues and complete customer service failure.Desired Settlement: Satisfaction for myself. My boyfriend truly loved your watches and I planned to give it as a birthday gift. He was so upset when I had to explain to him the awful situation I experienced.

Dear Revdex.com of San Diego,

According to the UPS shipping manifesto, this order departed on 09/06/2013, the same day it was processed by Nixon. The customer paid an additional $15 for 2nd day air. UPS did not deliver the package within their 2 day promise. The package was delivered on Tuesday 9/10/2013; in 3 business days; rather than 2.

Due to the delayed shipment by UPS, we will be crediting this customer for the additional $15 paid toward shipping.

Review: I shipped my watch for repair to the Nixon Distribution Center on August 25, 2015 and it was received September 1st, 2015 at 10:47 am, signed for by Lopez. I have tracking confirmation. The watch was not acknowledged until September 10th, which is 10 days after receipt. I then received an email that it would be 10-15 days until the watch would ship back out. I called and emailed to ensure I would not be charged without notification if something was not under warranty. That part was noted. I called September 22 for an update as I had not received information about a shipment date back. I was told that my watch had not been reviewed and would not likely be looked at until around the first week of October. The representative was incredibly rude and not willing to help me understand the process. I emailed customer service for a management number but the contact number kept taking me straight to voicemail. I received an email on September 24th stating that my Nixon service order was ready to be closed out but needed up-to-date credit card information. I called and spoke to a representative and was told that the email only meant my watch was now being examined. I again explained that I do not authorize repairs that are not covered by warranty and it the rep agreed it was already noted in my chart. I contacted customer service again October 17th and asked for a repair and return date and was told that they were running tests. It has now been 26 days that they have been running tests and close to 2 months they have had my watch in possession. I was promised no more than 15 days after receiving my watch that they would ship it back out, repaired. I believe they are knowingly giving customers false information.Desired Settlement: I would like a promised shipment date, whether the watch is repaired or a new one is provided. I will not cover any repair charges, shipment charges back to me, and desire the $30.87 that I paid to ship to them be reimbursed. I have receipts and emails to document everything stated above as well for the $30.87 for shipment and insurance (which they state in the repair shipment instructions to insure). Considering the wasted time dealing with customer service and the false outline of return date and status updates, this is a fair request.

Response:

Review: I sent my [redacted] for repair, this is the third of five watches that have had to be repaired. The first two watches were irreparable and the company refused to offer a refund, and rather offered to replace the watch with one of lesser value, which I opted for since there was no other option. Nixon has now had my watch since late August and I spoke with a customer service representative two weeks ago who said my watch was repaired and waiting to be sent out. I still haven't received my watch and spoke with customer service today who refused to give me any idea as to when I would see my watch, stating that they are severely backed up. According to their website it says my watch may be sent out by Oct. 18th, a date which keeps getting extended. They are supposedly repairing the broken band on my watch, however, after wearing the watch for only about 6 months its in terrible condition. The face is chipped, and the finish is wearing off. These products are not meant to last, and when they don't Nixon isn't willing to take responsibility for it. They're customer service representatives are also quite rude.Desired Settlement: I paid $150 + tax and at this point I want a refund. Even if my watch is returned someday its going to need to continuously be repaired because these watches are made of cheap materials and poorly put together. If for whatever reason I cannot be refunded fully for my watch then I want a brand new Time Teller Acetate in the same color, so I can at least wear a decent looking watch for a couple months before it breaks.

Review: I ordered a highly limited product on the Nixon site (Sentry Chrono LTD). I was able to purchase six watches. Earlier that day I purchased a water bottle as well (Lattidue 40oz). The funds were taken out for each product. The next day I received an email canceling all orders. When I contacted Nixon in regards to the cancellation they stated the product was no longer in stock. However the Water bottle was not out of stock and was still canceled. All orders were separate. I feel that there is an inside issue within the company that is not allowing the public to purchase particular items. I believe that Nixon was not comfortable with the fact that I obtained 6 of these highly limited watches.Desired Settlement: I would like a thorough investigation to be placed on Nixon. If possible, I would like Revdex.com to check time stamps on the orders to verify when orders were placed. I feel that I was one of the first orders placed for the watch. I would like to be able to purchase the items that were not sold out at the time that I purchased them.

Hello [redacted],

Thank you for your interest in this limited edition Nixon Sentry

Chrono. We’re very sorry you were unable to get one. We’re stoked to have such

huge fans of the brand.

The excitement behind this model along with limited

quantities resulted in us selling out in four seconds! Your initial order

attempts, for the Sentry Chrono LTD, did not successfully make it into our

system. The attempts you made thereafter were cancelled as we were sold out by that

time.

If you’re still interested in purchasing this watch, there’s

a chance you will be able to it at a local store. Here are a couple dealers in

your area that may still have this model in stock.

Review: I purchased a Super tide watch that died while I was on vacation. I sent in the watch to Nixon for repair, which deemed the watch a defective product. (I have the repair order and email if needed) I was told that all I need to do was keep the email and when the product was remanufactured and in stock, I would be able to get a onetime replacement of the defective watch. I called the company 6 months later and checked to see if the product was in stock, it was, then I was told the only way to get a new watch was to send in the old watch. I was never told this was a stipulation to getting a new watch. The stipulation was not in the email or on the website. I threw the old watch away thinking I only need the email and repair order. I went through three customer service people, including the supervisor who basically told me I was out of luck and the only person left to talk to was Mr. [redacted] himself. I don’t think this is fair, I sent in the watch, they deemed it to be defective and said they would replace it, now they are going back on their word.Desired Settlement: Replacement watch

Response:

To Whom It May Concern,

Our customer, [redacted], was originally offered a replacement watch of equal value to his Supertide or the option to hold on to his defective Supertide until additional inventory of the Supertide was available. When the inventory became available, we explained to [redacted] that he would need to mail the defective Supertide to Nixon once more so we can exchange it with a new Supertide. In between that time, [redacted] threw his defective Supertide away and has no tangible product or item to mail as a service replacement request.

We hold our customers in the highest regard. Nixon will be able to replace [redacted]'s damaged Supertide as long as [redacted] can mail his damaged Supertide to us.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Best regards,

Customer Service Supervisor

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,[redacted] Nixon's response is not the truth. The offered me a loaner watch, which I did not want, as it was not the original watch I ordered. Also, they claim they told me to hold on to the watch and that is not the truth either. I was told the email was proof enough to get the watch when it came into stock. This company is only telling half truths. Never was I told to hold on to the broken watch. Again, the customer service rep did not tell me to hold on to the broken watch.

Response:

Hello,

In addition to the offer of replacing the defective watch with one of equal value, we also offered a 'loaner' tide watch as a temporary solution for our customers. Once inventory was again available in the Supertide, the loaner would in-turn be replaced with the original Supertide.

We would like more than anything to send our customer a new watch. Once we have a physical watch, defective Supertide or loaner, we can replace it immediately with a new watch.

Thank you and best regards,

Customer Service Supervisor

Review: On 1/8/13 I purchased a Nixon watch from an authorized dealer, [redacted].com. I was wearing the watch and the band broke causing the watch to fall to the ground. In addition to the band breaking, the fall caused the hands of the watch to break. I did not wear the watch much at all and certainly shouldn't have had any defects in such a short period of time. In Sept of 2014 I notified Nixon, Inc. about the defect and what had happened. This was within the two year warranty period. They sent instructions to have the item returned to them to address the issue but the package was misplaced and forgotten about until recently. After finding the package with the watch and information that Nixon had requested, I sent the watch in again for this same warranty issue and was just informed today that they could not fix the watch and would not honor the warranty but that they would sell me a replacement. The replacement they want to sell me is almost the exact same price I paid for the original watch so there is effectively no remedy being offered on their end.Desired Settlement: I want to have the warranty honored. I notified them during the warranty period of what the problems were. I haven't seen any place on their site or my paperwork that says the warranty work must be completed before the end of the two year warranty, just "Nixon offers a limited warranty of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years after original purchase from an authorized Nixon dealer."

There was definitely an issue with the materials or workmanship in this watch during that 2 year period and I notified them of it and started the process to have them remedy it.

Response:

Hello,Nixon honors a two year warranty for items bought through an authorized dealer. [redacted]com is not a Nixon authorized dealer which is why a service fee was applicable. We understand that not all our customers are aware of who is authorized to sell Nixon product and who is not. We have made an exception to honor Mr. [redacted]'s warranty as if his item were purchased through an authorized dealer. His new watch will be shipped in the following 3-5 business days.Thank you,

[redacted],

Review: Nixon is unwilling to honor their warrantee without a credit card. If Nixon is unwilling to honor their warrantee and repair my watch, I do not want to pay for the repair. They have not responded to my email request to send the watch in for repair without a credit card. I informed Nixon in my last email (October 16th) that I would present this issue to the Revdex.com and ask for assistance. No reply was received.

My original letter to Nixon (sent Aug 19th):

Dear Nixon Support:

We are having difficulty with your repair process. We purchased a Lodown watch at the Boneyard, Edgartown, MA on May 11th of this year. The watch worked fine for about 30 days, then it was stuck on time and would not change modes, then the screen began to fade, then it worked for about a week, and finally the screen began to fade again and finally died.

I have tried calling your office number, but when I press repair, I get directed to use your website, even though your website says to call and you will help us through the process. I tried customer service, but no one would answer (during your business hours). When I go to your repair site, it asks for my credit card. This watch is new and under warrantee and I assume will be repaired or replaced without charge. Please tell me how to obtain return authorization.

Thank you,

[redacted], MADesired Settlement: Agreement from Nixon to honor their warrantee and repair my watch.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], I did receive both a phone call from [redacted] and an email containing a return authorization form. The form states that it is a "quote for service" which I reject entirely. Throughout this painful saga, I have simply asked Nixon to honor their warranty and repair my watch.

I will mail the watch via the US Postal Service today (10/31) with a signature required service to provide tracking and confirmation of arrival. It is in the original store packaging.

I will wait for the business to perform this repair at no cost and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I have purchased many watches from Nixon over the years, but have recently had incresed problems with their quality but even more of concern as of late I have had problems of fraud with their repair department. I've had to send back 3 watches in the past two years, and it seems lately they cant fix them and don't have a similar watch to trade out. With this they give you a credit towards buying a new watch, so I gave into this gimmick and bought a new watch of theirs only months ago. My band got caught on something at work and I called to purchase a new one, but they said I couldn't and had to send it in for repair, but also wouldn't let me know if they had this in stock or the same model to switch out. I voiced my concern of paying for shipping out there with no guarantee but she said that is the only way they will do it. Well I finally recieved an email saying they don't have this part and don't have this watch, yet there site indicates it is in stock and let me place it in my shopping cart. I'm wondering why Nixon repair is lying to me. It feels like a scam that I have to send a brand new watch back and they say they can't fix it, so I'm forced to buy another new watch. Why would I keep buying a new watch every three months from a dishonest company? I would like my warranty honored or my watch returned along with my shipping to send it out there.Desired Settlement: I would like my warranty honored and a replacement sent back or my watch returned along with my shipping costs for having to send it out.
