Noah's Tire Shop Reviews (31)

Review: I purchased four new tires and wheels for my 2013 Toyota Tacoma Truck on 5/22/14 for $750.

Approx. 30 min after installation I returned because of a consistent steering wheel shake in which I did not have with previous original tires and wheels. They rebalanced only front wheels and I left.

With another 30 min. While freeway driving the steering wheel shake was still present.

I finally was able to return again on 6/4/14 and was rudely treated by a man that seemed to be in charge and proceeded to tell me I was lying about when I purchased the wheels and tires. I proved him wrong and he told me I needed to get an alignment which has no bearing on the steering wheel shake since not having it prior to the installation. He regreatably agreed to balance all the wheels and tires again, but made it clear this was the last time because I was costing him time and money. After talking to two other consumers having the same problem and being treated as poorly, I feel I will need to sue this business to get satisfaction.

After this last rebalance I still have the steering wheel shake proving one or both of the products is defective and/or installation was not done to specifications of the products.Desired Settlement: To returned with my original wheels and tires to be installed and return merchants tires and wheels along with a full refund of my $750 purchase price.

Response:

I [redacted] WAS THE ONE THAT SOLD THE WHEELS TO THIS GENTLEMAN.

I WASN’T HERE WHAN HE CAME BACK TO RE-BALANCE THE TIRES.

HE CAN CONTACT ME AND SEE WHAT ARRANGEMENTS WE CAN DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT GIVING A RECEIPT BECAUSE HE LEFT BEFORE I WAS DONE WRITING HIS RECEIPT UP.

I’M SORRY THE WAY HE WAS TREATED BY ONE OF MY FELLOW CO-WORKERS.

BUT I GUESS HE WAS FED UP WITH NOT SOLVING THE ISSUE.

SOMETIMES THE CAR DOES NEED ALIGNMENT OR THE BALANCE IS OFF.

WHATEVER THE REASON IS WE CAN TRY TO HELP THE CUSTOMER.

WHEN HE LEFT I TOLD HIM WHO I WAS AND IF HE HAD ANY QUESTION I WILL BE AROUND.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that there was no proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

I do have a receipt for purchase in my possession, so the business representative is lying.

I also have taken my vehicle to Toyota of San Diego and it was determined that my alignment is fine and with the vehicles specifications.

A full cash refund will be the only resolution.

THIS IS REGARDING COMPLAINT #[redacted]

I HAVE TRIED TO TALK TO MR. [redacted] BUT HE SEEMS NOT TO WANT A SOLUTION.

I OFFERED HIM TO COME BACK TO THE SHOP AND DEAL WITH ME.([redacted])

I TOLD HIM I WOULD CHECK WHAT IS THE PROBLEM AND HE REFUSED ANY OF MY SOLUTIONS. HE TOLD ME HE WANTS $800 BACK AND HE WANTS US TO INSTALL HIS WHEELS AND TIRES BACK ON HIS TRUCK. AND THEN HE THREATEN ME BY SAYING THAT IF I DIDNT DO WHAT HE SAID QUICKLY HE WOULD ASK FOR MORE MONEY AT COURT.

I HAVE SAVED ALL THE TXT MESSAGES AS PROOF WHEN I GO TO COURT. IF HE WANTS HIS MONEY BACK THERE IS A RESTOCKING FEE FOR THE WHEELS AND TIRES. I WONT CAHRGE HIM FOR THE LABOR IN PUTTING HIS OLD WHEELS BACK AND HIS TIRES.

IM THINKING HES JUST USING THIS EXCUSE TO GET MONEY OUT OF IT.

I JUST WANTED TO EXPLAIN TO MR. [redacted] THAT THERE COULD BE MANY REASONS WHY IT SHAKES. IT CAN BE THE TIRES ARE WASTING UNEVENLY BECAUSE ALIGNMENT HAS NOT BEEN DONE PROPERLY. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE DOES THE ALIGNMENT AFTER THE TIRES ARE BAD DOESNT MEAN THE ALIGNMENT IS GONNA FIX THE BAD TIRES. I HAVE SEEN THIS ALL TO MUCH IN THIS JOB AND MANY PEOPLE ALWAYS THINK ITS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE PRODUCT, WHEN IN FACT IS THEIR NEGLIGENCE.

THE SETTLEMENT THAT I OFFER IS FOR US TO SWITCH THE TIRES FOR 225/60R18 FALKEN AND HAVE HIM TO HIS ALIGNMENT AFTER WE INSTALL THE TIRES. THERE WON’T BE NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR US GIVING HIM THE FALKEN, ALL WE WOULD WANT IS FOR HIM TO DROP THE LAW SUIT.

THANK YOU.

Review: On February 19, 2014, I inquired with Noah's Tire Company (located 4828 El Cajon Blvd) the purchase of four (4) tires at a cost of $60.00 each. I agreed to the purchase which totaled $240.00. Upon further review of my receipt they actually charged me $33.55 for taxes. I inquired the following day with the cashier about what the $33.55 was for and he refuse to answer. The receipt did not indicate any extra charges for any services rendered. The cashier was beyond rude and insensitive. When I tried to return the tires because of Tread Shifting, I was bluntly refused. If I wanted the problem resolved I would have to pay an extra $60.00.Desired Settlement: The taxation of $240.00 is only $19.00. They charged $60.00 extra on February 21, 2014, for four more tires. Because of the defect of the previous tires I should have gotten a straight across deal with no extra charge. So I want $14.50 + $60.00 = 74.50.

THIS IS REGARDING COMPLAINT #[redacted]

THIS CUSTOMER CAME TO OUR SHOP AND WAS TOLD A QUOTE OF $60 EACH TIRE WITH MOUNTING, BALANCE AND INSTALLATION, ALL WE CHARGE EXTRA IS RECYCLE FEE FOR THE TIRES WHICH IS $7 FOR ALL FOUR AND TAXES. THE TOTAL CAME OUT TO $268.61 IF SHE PAID CARD THERES A $5 FEE. PROBABLY THE CASHIER DIDN'T EXPLAIN THAT TO HER.

WHEN SHE CAME BACK SHE WANTED TO CHANGE THE TIRES, WE OFFERED HER A DIFFERENT BRAND WHICH WAS A PRICE DIFFERENCE OF $60 WHICH HAS BETTER QUALITY AND MILEAGE. IDK WHY THE CASHIER REFUSED THATS UNPROFESSIONAL AND WRONG AND I DO APOLOGIZE ON BEHALF OF THE TIRE SHOP.

THE TOTAL THAT SHE WAS CHARGED WAS $333.55 AND THE TOTAL WAS $240 PLUS THE RECYCLE FEE $7, PLUS TAX, AND THE $60 FOR THE TIRE DIFFERENCE. THE TOTAL COMES OUT TO 240+7+TAX=268.PLUS THE $60 IS 328.

Review: Bought 4 bran new wheels from this store , I asked the guy who sold them to me if this was the right wheels for my vehicle he replied yes, went ahead and did them. When I went to a mechamic to do my brake pads he put them on and the calilper hit the whole inside of the rim and I was unable to move the vehicle he than told me that these rims are not for my car and the lug nuts they provided where not for the rims because they did not go far enophe in and could have came loose and fallen off while driving. Came to the store to try and resolved the issue the guy cussed me out and told me to get the hell out of there, I was threatend.Desired Settlement: I want them to replace the wheels they put in my car witht the right ones and actualy put the right lug nuts plus replace the calipers that where dented because of there bad buisness skills. I paid good money for them and I shouldent be treated like they did

Response:

To whom it may concern,The customer has already tried to lie about what is going here. Honestly this doesn’t make sense, he bought the wheels Feb 03 of 2014 and comes a year later to say that the wheels don’t fit after he has used the wheels and his excuse is that the calipers are messed up. We have him on video tape, no one threatened him in any kind a way. He came stating that he changed his calipers and that he was hearing a noise and demanded that we changed the wheels. We told him he’s out of his mind. We are not responsible if he changes his calipers and the wheels start to hit. As you can obviously see he is a very smart person as if trying to take advantage of the shop. We are professionals who know what goes for what car and if we need to make modifications we left customers know and ask for their approval. Thank god for cameras now, we have everything on video tape and I wont hesitate to send it as proof. Last, he was the one that threaten us stating that if we don’t help him we will regret it and find out what he is capable off. I can’t offer a solution to something that was never wrong until he decided to change his calipers. He needs to be a little responsible and own up to what he did to his car. Seriously, a year later he decides to come back. Purchase date was 02/13/14 and came to talk to us on 02/08/15???? Very very suspicious….

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

I never said that I changed my calipers and yes please show the video in witch you will she him miss treating me if they where a good company like they said they should know what wheels go on a vehicle and what doesent but I do want you to show the video I have no reson to lie as far as you guys who have had more than me complaining you guys only have a 3 star rating for a reson, when I use to manage an automotive shop we were not allowed to sell something that did not fit , go to a dealership my brake calipers move freely when pads are new and the offset was wrong for my vehicle. Its on youre buisness you dont know what goes on a car you just sell

Business

Response:

We are a good company, but its people like you who are cheats and try to take advantage of small companies who work hard.We know what goes on what car and there is a thing called modification on a vehicle if you did not know. Yes we have people who complain that try to be smart about a small situation just like you. No offense intended. But we have been in the business for more than 15 years and have enough experience to know what we are doing. Answer this question though, if the wheels were not the right fitment for your car and you bought it more than a year ago, why did you wait so long to come back?? Its been more than a year that you have been with the merchandise, so theres something weird about that wouldn’t you say? So whats your game plan? To use the wheels for a year and then come up with the idea that “oh Im going to go back in a year and say they didn’t fit because I want a new set” Please be honest and don’t lie and of course I’m going to show the video. We have cameras for a reason, for customer who are dishonest and manipulating.

Review: At approximately 11:05 I called [redacted] tire shop to get a price on some tires and they gave me a price of $60.00 if I pick up only or $70.00 if I get them put on there I said o.k. i'll be there in like 20 min he said o.k. When I got there they asked me what size tires do I need I said I told them and they guy installing them got the tires and started to put them on. He asked me what price did they quote you I told him he said o.k. when he was done putting 2 tires on he said if you like you could pay they guy inside the office I said o.k. When I went to pay the guy by the name of [redacted] he said what am I charging you for I said 3 tires he said o.k. he got his calculator and started running numbers and said it's $266.00 I said for what I was told that it was going to be $60.00 for pick up or $70.00 for mount, balance and installed, he said I don't know who gave you that price but it's $266.00 if you want themd let me talk to your manager and he said o.k. he called some other guy and he told me whats the problem I said you guys quoted me one price over the phone and now you are charging something totally different. He looked at me and said you know what there to much for you go some where else and get them, he walked outside and told the guy who was installing them to put the old ones back, I looked at him and said what kind of business are you running here he said the right kind. I looked at him and said look I don't know who you thing you are talking to like that but I work for The California Department of Corrections and showed him my badge and he said what are you threatning me with that I said no, but what I am saying is you are talking to the wrong person like that he said and, then he said you need to get out of my business. He got on the phone and walked away calling me cheap skate I looked at him and said what did you say and he just kept on walking.Desired Settlement: I would like for this business to be closed down. This business has been getting lots of complaints for a very long time.

---------- Forwarded message ----------From: [redacted] <[redacted].com>Date: Fri, May 24, 2013 at 9:40 PMSubject: Re: You have a new message from your Revdex.com regarding complaint #[redacted]To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> I would like start off by apologizing for my co-workers behavior. It's no way to treat a customer. They should have taken the time to explain what you were being charged extra. When [redacted] called he was giving a quote for the tires, we charge for labor and taxes. My apologizes if they treated Mr. [redacted] poorly, I assure him that the matter will be handled. There is nothing else I can say to [redacted] that will change his mind but I do hope he accepts my honest apology.

This is the same complaint written to San Diego Superior Court Judge that the defendant , [redacted], owner of Noah's Tire Shop has lost the case, but still refuse to pay the plaintiffs the damage according to judgement from the court:

Serious scam and refuse to give receipt, plus no work order performed, harmful work performance, and denied warranty, tax evasive.

Explanation:

The owner and his workers of Noah's Tire Shop coordinated a very cold, cruel scam against us (plaintiff and his children) in the VW Vanagon, 10/10/13.

They very quick jacked up on our VW Vanagon and replaced 5 tires that both the manager(owner) and workers offered 65,000 miles warranty for all 5 tires and also said: "Don't worry about the tires made in China.", before they did the work.

After received $350 total for 5 tires, the manager (owner) who is the defendant in this case refused to write a receipt that state the warranty of 65,000 miles. He said "No one asked for receipt here. I don't write any warranty here." I asked for the warranty receipt again, and the defendant ( manager) got violent and shout at me and the children: "Get out of my shop, get out! Don't come here again." Other workers also came and intimidated us to get out by saying so.

The defendant has no record for warranty and tax purposes.n There was no WORK-ORDER that had done to prevent breach of contract!

Thank you for your consideration

Review: I took my car in to get serviced by this company. I wanted to replace the rims and tires. When we got there, we had been told that a deposit was needed to take an order to get the rims and tires we wanted. We gave them an amount of 200 dollars, but what they had not told us was that it was non-refundable! Not only that but the car was on a spare tire when we brought it in they offered to lend us a tire till the order came in. We called back two days later and they hadn't even put the order in yet! Claimed they didn't know if we wanted to order them. Not only were we very upset, we went back the next day and returned the rim and tire they had lent us, and told them we were unhappy with our service and wanted our deposit back. They actually said your not getting anything back, of course it was a lot more graphic and they were not shy with their profanity. Furthermore, the staff and owner started to come up to us as if looking to intimidate us and we left after being asked "Do you want to fight?" Unprofessional to say the least, I wish I would've read the reviews first, because it seems this is not uncommon for this so-called business.Desired Settlement: At the very least I would like my 200 dollars back on the "deposit" that was never made. Also I think this business should be under inspected, and something should be done whether its closed down or not. What they are doing to customers and clients is unlawful and unjust. I've never been actually threatened by an establishment before, that should mean something.

Review: [redacted] Shop AKA Noah's Tire ShopI called the store for a specific tire size. Spoke to [redacted], he claimed to have it in stock, but it's a not a brand name, it's Winrun). I asked for the "total price out the door" including tax, installation, other fees, etc. They quoted me for $440.00 out the door. I got the the shop, while I was with a salesman selecting a tire, my car was jacked up, all wheels removed, and tires pulled off. We did not find the advertise tires. I was offered a more expensive brand (Goodyear for $650). I told him too expensive, he then said I can go with no Winrun but next size up for $450.00 out the door. I accept his new deal. In the process, I ask if he would throw in a spare for $50 so all my tires would be the same size, for a total $500 even. He said ok. When I went to pay, the price went up to $561. He claim it's $500 plus tax. I told him the deal was $500 out the door. He refused. I told him I came with to get the advertised deal of $331 for 4 tires and only agreed to buy the next size because they were willing to make me a deal. He claimed, they just sold out of that advertized size in the last 10 minutes. I told him I have been there over 10 minutes and there's only been 2 other cars in the shop, both are not same size tires as mine. His excuse was that he just sold 60 of those tires in the last hour. I told him he's lying and that's false advertising. I then asked for his name. He got up and starts to threaten me and calls me "you [redacted] chinese, vietnamese asain. If you don't want to pay, I keep your car until you bring me money." He almost lunge at me. At that point, I decided to just pay and get out before he attacks me in front of my wife and children. He follows me out the door and continue to cuss, yell and use obsene profanity at me. I got into my car and called the police. They told me to pull out of the lot until a police patrol car arrive. I did so.Desired Settlement: investigate and shut down for false advertisement.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] indeed call and asked for his tire size which was 265/65R17, my co-worker told him he had it in stock and his quote was 440, like he said. When he gets here my co-worker finds out that we only have one tire in that size in stock, he told what can we do since it was his mistake. I told him to give him a better deal for another size tire which was 265/70R17. I told him to quote him on those tires for 450, ten bucks more for our mistake. He agreed and then wanted another tire for his spare, my co-worker asked what kind of deal can we give him, I told him 50 dollars more for another new tire. So in total he was quoted $500 for five new tires 265/70R17. I dont think we r the only place or business that charges tax. Like Mr. [redacted] mentions in his complaint, he was quoted a price with mounting, balancing, and installation included, not tax. Besides at the end I ended just charging him 500 dollars, mayb my co-worker didn't explain to him that tax was extra. So I don't see what the problem is with this guy. When I went to buy a phone I knew what I was going to spend for it, the phone price is plus tax, if you want extra stuff it cost additional, doesn't it? Same here, I don't think it's illegal to charge sales tax.

I went to Noah Tires for New rims and tires for my Jaguar. A guy came to help me showed me some rims and manger gave me a quote of 700 dollar that's w/o tax. I had to leave my car to get the rims I needed to fit my car. My son came for me and while I'm out I over viewed my receipt and I seen the word used but couldn't make out the other word so I went back. My car had 2 sets of different name used tires. They were balled in the front. When I mentioned to the manager bout the used tires he said I wrote it on your receipt I said that's not what I was told when I left here. We never discussed anything bout used tires, said pay me another 100 I'll put new tires on. Then he begin to say I'm crazy and drunk he can't do nothing. And walked off. Very rude poor customer service, no refund, no customer satisfaction and play you for your money.

Review: Yesterday I Had an incident at Leo's tire shop, I went in to purchase some tires. 30 minutes before I arrive I called to ask for the price on some [redacted] tires I was told that it was 280 out the door, when I arrived I was told that they were out and that the only tires they has where 350 in which I declined and was ready to pull out of the parking them the owner/manager told me what had happen I said no I called and got one price then I get here and you guys want to give me another price, I told him I drove here from El Cajon because it was 20 cheaper and now instead of being 20 less is 50 more than [redacted] in El Cajon. The manager or owner at that point said I will give you the same price in which I said okay.

They went ahead and remove all the tires from my vehicle to installed the new ones before they put the new tires the cashier insisted for me to go and pay in which I did. He acted like as I was going to run away without paying rude and very unprofessional. However when I came out of their office I notice one of my rims/ wheels showed signs of being scratched, I was then when I went ahead and checked all of them to find out that 3 out of the 4 were damaged. At that point I went ahead and told the manager or owner and he had an attitude like he did not care. I said don't you guys be careful when changing the tires my wheels just got damaged and he said that I did not tell them to be careful. I then said you as a responsible business owner or manager should know that your staff need to be cautious when performing a job. I asked him what he was going to do and he mentioned nothing. I said what do you mean nothing and he said yes. He also stated how do I know that happen here I said you can go and see you can tell that it just happen as it still had the residue from were they got damaged he said no I don't want to see the wheels. While I was on the phone the cashier came up to me I believe his name is [redacted] and told me to move my car and I said I am not moving my car until the police gets here and I am recording what is happening he said well don't you understand that it was an accident and I say well don't you understand that with that accident my car got damaged, he then told me to move my car or he was going to call the police I said called them that's what I want. I want them to come so that they can give me a report. When he refuse I called my insurance and was told to take pictures and and I also took video. I then contacted law enforcement but after about 20 minutes of being in hold for a dispatcher to answer an employee approached me and told me do not worry " I will fix it for you." I said ok. However after letting him work on my rims for a while I then saw him getting a can of spray paint I approached him and told him to stop that I did not wanted him to do that to my car as it was looking worst the paint was running all over the place. I told them I was going to put a lawsuit against them and the employee said you are still doing it I said yes because you did not fixed them.

I have pictures and videos of what happen please let me know if is needed.

In order for me not to proceed with this I want new wheels from the manufacture as my car is new otherwise I will move forward in smalls claims court. They can have the damaged wheels as long as I get the new ones from my dealer Toyota of El Cajon.nDesired Settlement: I need my wheels to be replaced from the dealer as my vehicle is new and they are responsible for the damaged that was caused due to their negligence

This is regarding complaint #[redacted]This customer came and bought four tires for $300. After we were done with her car she started complaining about her wheels.I tried explaining that how can we be sure that the wheels weren’t scratched already. She started getting all defensive and saying that I was rude. I laughed and told her if she could move her car because she was in the work zone area and that we were done with her car. After that she demanded for us to replace all of her four wheels because her car is “new”. I did not know that a 2013 or 2014 car was considered “new” up to this date.We have had this issues with other customers where they try to take advantage of us knowing that there wheels have been damaged before. On top of that we have a sign that strictly says "we are not responsible for damages to customer or mag wheels when changing tires.” We have that sign for a reason because sometimes the machine malfunctions or the installer makes a mistake. We are all humans and make mistakes, no one is perfect. So as I was explaining this to the customer she started recording me and telling me that we are incompetent and that we are rude etc. So I was not going to deal with her attitude and just told her we have the sign for a reason and that she should understand that if we did “damaged” her wheel it was intentionally. After I called the cops and told me to ask her nicely to leave and if she didn’t, to record her and call again and they would escort her out of our shop. After that my co-worker asked if she wanted him to try and fix her rims. She agreed and never said to stop or that you are damaging the wheels more. I have that recorded on our cameras. She’s making it seem like if she cannot drive with her wheels she has on right now and how can we be sure her wheels weren’t scratched at all before. The BAR recommend me to take pictures of the wheels before we work on them because they are shady people always trying to take advantage of small businesses.I hope you understand. thank you for your time. This is regarding complaint #[redacted]

Review: We ordered a tire for our car. We purchased it from Noah's tire. We have the exact tire size and description for ordering. Once it was purchased and installed my wife noticed it was the incorrect size. She requested the correct size to be put on. The "owner/manager" said it had to be special ordered. Then he proceeded to sexually harass my wife. She left and immediately phoned me. I said I would go with her when the correct size came in to make sure things stayed in a professional manner. We came to the shop and the tire we paid for was the incorrect brand. We said it was still incorrect and wanted our money back. I explained they needed to take their incorrect sized tire off her rim and we would use the spare and go somewhere else to purchase the tire. The owner/manager began swearing at us and saying inappropriate things to my wife. He said he didn't have to do anything for us and to leave and he wouldn't return our money. I told him it was his original mess up with the wrong size he needed to fix it. He said I don't care about you, your business or your customer service, get out! He refused to refund the money. He refused to take the incorrect tire off. He refused to put the correct size on. The whole while they used foul language, sexually harassed my wife, and made threatening accusations. I called the San Diego police department because we were headed towards a physical confrontation. They explained he can run his business how he wants they couldn't help. I took the correct tire that was set out and I went to another tire shop and had it put on. In the last 2 hours alone I have received 6 threatening phone calls from this business. This is 2013....not the Wild West. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Desired Settlement: I would like the complaint of sexual harassment to be posted for this business and for their inexcusable customer service. Any business that runs without repercussions like this is bound to have endless more claims.

THIS IS REGARDING COMPLAINT #[redacted]

I'M SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS

I NEED YOU TO LET ME KNOW THE NAME OF THE GUY WHO DID THIS. I'M THE MANAGER [redacted] AND I KNOW I DID NOT SEXUALLY HARASS ANYONE. THE OWNER IS [redacted] AND WEIGHS AROUND 300 POUNDS AND IS USUALLY IN [redacted] CLOSING DEALS WITH WHEELS COMPANIES, SO I DOUBT THAT THE GUY WHO CLAIMED HE WAS THE OWNER/MANAGER.

NEED THE NAME TO HAVE A TALK WITH THIS EMPLOYEE AND PERHAPS FIRE HIM FOR SUCH ACTIONS.

This business should have an F rating.

They sell you merchandise that is unsafe and should NOT be sold or even given away. 90% of the used tires should be trashed, not put in cars. They tell you prices, then ring you up all sorts of extra fees. Total bait and switch shop. The guys will argue and curse you out if you call them to discuss your issues concerning their defective used merchandise. They sell cracked & welded used rims. If they switch your item to " make good" they'll charge you a ridiculous amount, which makes no sense. Just make it right, why charge decent people for your mistakes.

Noahs tires employees are often [redacted] on [redacted] while working or [redacted] or on [redacted].

They are scammers, and if you write a review on yelp, google+ or facebook, they will argue with you online and act very unprofessional.

DO NOT GO HERE

They are unsafe, untrained, unprofessional and a headache
