Sure-Dry Basements installed a Triplesafe sump system The sump liner is perforated to allow subfloor water in around the sump location but is not guaranteed to keep the entire basement dry Customers concern was that the draintile was not tied into sump liner We sent crew back on
6/2/to directly tie draintile into sump liner At end of original install it was draining into the gravel around the sump liner and then draining into sump liner through the perforations Customer does have a significant amount of water under basement floor It is recommended at a minimum to add another sump pump *** is assuming that the drain tile just draining through the gravel is the reason why his entire basement is leaking at relief cuts in floor It is my professional opinion that this will still continue to leak at relief cuts Again Sure-Dry does not warrant dry basement with only the install of a sump pump

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. There is nothing else that they can do for me and I will be happy when my house is sold and I no longer have to deal with them. My impression of the company overall is that it is only out to make money, not satisfy it's customers.

Sure-Dry was hired to excavate and straighten walls as
stated on contract to “maximum practical recovery.” In all foundation repair
circumstances a wall that is bowing in inches requires an excavation with an
attempt to straightenWhile in the process of straightening walls cracks began
to form within the poured wall of the foundation in the corners After noticing these cracks Sure-Dry made a
decision to permanently stabilize the wall with wall still being 1-inches off
plumbIn this situation, maximum practical recovery was achieved to avoid
doing further damage to wallSure-Dry still stands behind the 25-year
transferable warranty that wall will not experience any further inward
deflection
Production Manager visited job site to review the air
conditioning and sump pump issuesUpon his inspection it had settled, however
a crew was sent back on 10/20/to build up grading, fix buried sump pump line
and re-level air conditioner

The concrete was raised to maximum practical recoveryInorder for the concrete to be raised any higher the garage door frame andservice door going into the garage would need to be removedThis was discussedin great detail at the time of the installThe homeowner did not want toremove the service door, and Sure-Dry removed about a half inch of the framearound the garage doorThe concrete was lifted, the voids under the slabs werefilled in.Sure-Dry is offering to return to the property and lift theslabs higher if the homeowner removes the service door and allows furtheradjustments to be made on the frame of the garage doorThis is the only waythe slabs can be lifted any higherDoing this would result in the slabs to belifted higher than what they were when they were originally poured

I RECEIVED A CONTACT FROM SUREDRY ON JUNE 15th & THEY ARE COMING OUT ON JUNE 28th TO DO SOME PATCH WORK

The request for $1,214.80 reimbursement has been declined.  However, I do believe that the benefits of the PolyLEVELconcrete leveling that took place at your property is being overlooked whenspoken about in the letter dated July 11th, 2015. The before andafter pictures show great improvements...

in all the slabs mentioned andaddressed. The foam used will help prevent future settlement in the areasaddressed, and the warranty that was provided states if the slab settles overthe next five years we will come out and make the necessary corrections.  The main reason the driveway apron going into the garage wasnot lifted any further is due to the garage door frame. We cut away at least ahalf inch of the framing in order to perform the lift you see today, it wasdiscussed at the time of service and agreed upon not to continue with furtherlifting.  The concrete section next to the service door that enters thegarage also had a restriction to how high it could be lifted, the steel doorframe is in the way to lift the slab any higher. It should also be noted the quote included 96 lbs. of foamat the price of $1,214.80; the price would increase if the amount of foampassed 96lbs at a rate of $12.60 per pound. This too was discussed and you didnot want to spend any more money. While I can certainly understand your concerns the drivewayand sidewalk sections were lifted as quoted, any further service would requirethe removal of the service door and frame, and further adjustments to the frameof the garage door.

Our contract (which is attached) states in the Exclusions from the Warranty that we do not cover exterior waterproofing. Again there are too many factors that can affect exterior drain systems that are out of our control, and this is why we have never warrantied any exterior waterproofing. In addition, the foundation is constructed of concrete masonry blocks. These blocks have hollow cavities inside them that can fill with water which in turn cause efflorescence to show. The attached photo shows a corner in which efflorescence is visible on both walls. The corner blocks are stitched together to create a strong corner, tying both walls together. Unfortunately, this method allows water from one wall to potentially intrude into the block cavities of the adjacent wall. Again this is why we do not warranty exterior waterproofing. We excavated the east wall for the straightening process, but there is nothing to prevent water from the north or south walls from entering to east wall through the corner connection.

The Sani-Dry XP Dehumidifier that was installed on September 17, 2012 had a 30 month warranty which means the warranty expired in March of 2015. The warranty on the unit has been expired for a year and half.

On June 11th, 2015 Sure-Dry had
meeting with client onsite to review all claims, at that time offer to rectify
all claims at Sure-Dry’s expense was discussed and agreed upon by both parties.  On June 15th, 2015 a time was
schedule to rectify all at Sure-Dry’s expense, along with requesting...

any local recommended
mason contractor information.  On June 29th
client provided masonry contractor information to Sure-Dry.   On
July 7th, 2015 client informed Sure-Dry that they would have mason
rectify, at that time Sure-Dry let client know that we would not refund
requested deposit because of agreed resolution and corrections in place. On
July 13th, 2015 client informed Sure-Dry that work had been
completed by client hired mason and they were requesting refund of deposit
along with an additional $1000.00.  Sure-Dry
would like to rectify or at least have the opportunity to rectify this
situation.

I'm not sure how to respond to the consumers logic here. Though we do not sell cars, if the customer bought a vehicle from a dealership with the warranty terms he stated and the car had issues 5 years after it was purchased, I would think it would be highly unlikely the dealership is going to give them $15,000 back....... As for us now selling Aprilaire units with a 5 year warranty, they have made advancements in technology over the past 5 years that allows a company to offer a product that is now superior to what products were 5 years ago.

I AM SATISFIED WITH YOUR WORK SO FAR.NO I HAVE NOT HAD ANY CONTACT FROM THE COMPLANTENT.[redacted]
