a moment and look at the LYL section of your portal that can be found at www.my.azsafeharbor.net  There is good information about how the device works and how to avoid BAC violations and missed retest.  Safe Harbor provides this to you so you can be one of the 87% of the people who successfully complete their interlock requirement in 6 months. The immediate issue of having to pay prior to service is explained in your contract. If you review your contract in section 4 Service Appointments, it states; The client shall return the vehicle to the designated service center, which the service provider may reasonably change from time to time, for regularly scheduled service every 30 days.  In the event of a program violation, an early recall will be announced via the lights and tones of the system which obligates the client to return the vehicle to the designated service center for unscheduled service within the number of days prescribed by the system. Upon payment by the client, the service provider will do the following in accordance with program requirements: §   Inspect and service the system The reason that the technician set your unit for less than 30 days is due to the payment for services requirement.  There are several other locations that may be closer to you and easier for your time schedule.
