Mr***, we went and looked at the job, and what we saw was all hairline crackingWe do not warranty hairline cracking, nor does anyone in the concrete businessIf you look at your proposal, it states that we DO NOT warranty hairline crackingWe did everything possible to stop the crackingWe brought new base InWe compacted the dirt very well and we used the 4,PSI ConcreteWe did everything possible we could do to prevent cracking

Revdex.com:
I
have reviewed the response made by the business, and met last week to agree on a resolutionI would like to finalize the complaint once the work is completed...which should be in the next weeksI appreciate Northern Colorado Concrete coming out and agreeing to fix the issue and warrant their work.

Larry and Sarah have been In communication with them several timesLarry and Sarah, Northern Colorado Concrete met the owner *** on two separate occasions and came to an agreementThe agreement was *** would pay $for cement and Northern Colorado Concrete would tear out the bad squares
and replace when weather was permitting

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:What Larry is saying is another untrue statement. I never made a comment one way or the other about being happy. Of course, I am not happy about having money being extorted from me. If there were going to be extra costs I should have been consulted before the work was ever done, which I wasn't. That way I could have cancelled doing business with an unreputable company and choose the competitionWhen I was writing the check is when I found out about the extra costs not before; in fact I had to start over writing the check. The body language and belligerent tone in his voice was uncalled for and I paid the extra money under duress and fear of retaliationIt is not my fault or error that he can't make a bid and stick to the costs he told us. Maybe Larry should take some classes on how to bid a job before he makes a quoteI just want my $back and then the job would be for the price we were quoted not more to line his pockets. I am still unhappy about writing the check to him personally instead of the company; seems fishy to meLarry just needs to admit he made a mistake and refund the extra money he extorted from us under pressure and fear of retaliation. I will never recommend this company to anyone and if my neighbors continue to ask I will tell them the truth about this company and recommend they go elsewhereAs I told Sarah on the phone the only way I will mark this as resolved is when the money is deposited into my account safely and I know it won't bounce. As far as being hung up on I told Sarah "The only way I will mark it as resolved is when I get the money in my bank account. I also stated that I had asked for them not to contact me anymore and asked that my wishes be respected, said thank you and hung up." Larry needs to realize that a bid is a bid and once accepted there isn't any going back on it; if you made a mistake then that is Larry's fault because obviously he doesn't know how to make the bid in the first place. We were also told by Larry that he would beat any bid we got well guess what he didn't.

I am rejecting this response because:
I paid $6000.00 for anew driveway. You have failed to provide me with a driveway free of cracks and low areas where water collects..We never had an agreement only a proposal. You continue to put me off. I want my driveway completed correctly without faults at your expense.[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:We were told "It'll be done right" which it wasn't.  We had to fix the sump pump drainage and pick up after the crew.  Our water was left on when they used our hose to clean up which was also left scattered across the yard, there was trash all throughout the yard, and even a t-shirt left behind.  It shouldn't have taken me an additional hour to clean up after the crew.  The agreement came under pressure due to being asked with belligerence and fear that the job wouldn't be completed unless I agreed.  Which we were already getting ignored and being pushed out further in the completion date.  We couldn't drag it out any longer due to HOA deadlines.  The competitor's quote was over $400 less and we rejected his offer in lieu of the guarantee it would be done right and for less than the competition. He deliberately corned me when I had children needing dinner, bath and bed.  He also demanded a response then and there which is not acceptable.  Then when confronted about the cost from my husband he became very agitated and upset.  No, I have not contacted him and wish not to have further contact outside of the Revdex.com since Northern Colorado Concrete prefers to have phone conversations that are not documentable. The Revdex.com was contacted because of the potential for the situation to escalate and the Revdex.com was the only route left to me in order to document the issues and obtain and amiable resolution.

[redacted], My wife [redacted] has already worked out a deal with [redacted] and she is in agreement.-- Thank You, Larry L[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I disagree. There was not a final walk through, and I was not able to actually walk around outside prior to Larry showing up at the door step for payment. When my husband mentioned the hose which is all we had seen at that point he basically reacted as dismissive and “well, sorry do you really want me to have my guys come back here?” Then proceeded to tell us that it has been a very long day and they had been at it since very early and he may be have been pushing them too hard.   I shouldn’t have to babysit the job to make sure the work expected of any respectable business is completed.  This is why you have people on staff to make sure the job is complete and there aren’t any loose ends hence why we hired out the concrete work.  The customers should not be expected to be the ones making sure the people do their job and clean up after themselves.  As for the delays, yes one of the delays was due to rain.  Once the rain ended we were told they would be there the next day…they didn’t show.  Then we thought well maybe they just couldn’t since it might still be too wet.  The next day they still didn’t show nor did we receive a phone call letting us know they wouldn’t be showing or even when to expect them at that point.  My husband had to call at least three times before he got a hold of someone who then proceeded to make excuses and promises of the next day. Then surprise, they didn’t even show the next day.  The following day they finally completed the job.  Also in response to the extra work, the quote was the quote and the specification didn’t change from the original quote to when the work was completed.  The quote was for the specific area and thickness of the pad, which the original quote was for $2500, then competitors quote was for $2450.  Larry said he could be any competitor’s bid and agreed to do the job for $2400.  Halfway through the job he decides there is more work than he thought so he needs to increase the cost.  In the end once we were finally able to take a look outside, we notice the sump pump was concreted in and basically buried in the dirt enough the not allow the water to flow.  Guess what would have happened if the sump pump would have been left without the ability to flush the ground water from the foundation of the house? The basement would have eventually flooded because the pipe was so blocked by the way they did the concrete.  Perception of the events seem to vary greatly and if I didn’t feel so wronged and taken advantage of I probably would have just been able to ignore the minor pieces, but when I take all the pieces together along with how unapproachable Larry had been after the initial work started I can’t and won’t let this go.  I also refuse to recommend Northern Colorado Concrete to anyone in the future.

Northern Colorado Concrete agrees to replace anything that was don't incorrectly by our company when weather permits.

[redacted] Last year we had already paid [redacted] the $100.

We have not heard one word from [redacted] since completing the job. No one told us there was a problem. The first time we heard of this problem was through Revdex.com. When Larry went over to get the check he explained to her that there was extra work to be done requiring more labor and materials, which...

resulted in an extra charge stated In our contract. They came to an agreement on the price. The customer was very happy and pleased with the results. There have been no complaints since the job was completed two to three months ago.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because the issue we were correcting is the same as it was prior to hiring this company to replace the previously...

cracked concrete, in the same spots. Following the work, this issue immediately replicated itself in the exact same locations. The company is quick to identify that "all concrete cracks" and that it does not warrant them when they do. Unfortunately this business should warrant poor workmanship and a false bill of goods. The work order specifically identifies these areas as needing to be replaced due to previous cracking. If the issue was not going to be corrected with a replacement of the concrete then we were sold on an un-necessary replacement plan and charged for work we did not need to have done.

I am rejecting this response because:
I disagree.  Larry and I never agreed to anything  Sarah left a signed bid for $2400.  The only reason I paid Larry the extra $200 is because he was getting agitated and his body language and words were becoming very belligerent and threatening.  I hadn't even seen the work they had done before he was chasing me down for payment right after the job was finished at my daughters house.  When I tried to disagree with him about the extra cost (which I found out about after the work was already finished)  he became very threatening and belligerent with his speech and body language so I felt the only thing I could do was pay it under duress.  His crew also left a mess in my yard, we had nails to pick up and trash, they also drug my hose out and didn't put it away either.  Very disrespectful attitude and work ethic for a business. Had I known I was going to be cheated and threatened I would have gone with his competition. Nothing was done on time.  When he and Sarah did the bid he told us "I'll beat anyone's price"  this was totally not true.  I received a phone call from Sarah and she asked how to resolve this.  I told her when I get my $200 dollars back and its in my bank account I would address the issue.  I was told Larry says you need to mark the complaint as resolved before we give you the money back.  I believe this statement is a sort of extortion where they are holding my money hostage so I will mark the issue resolved and then with the dealings I have had with them they probably wouldn't pay it back.  As I told Sarah on the phone when I receive the money back and its deposited in my bank account then I will address the resolution of this complaint not until.  I want no further contact with them except through the Revdex.com as I just don't trust Larry's attitude and body language which are threatening.  I will never recommend this company to anyone. They like to try to seem like they did nothing wrong but really they were paid extra money under duress and fear.  All I want is my $200 dollars back that they really didn't earn according to the bid.  It's not my fault he has a problem doing the bids correctly and then demands extra pay for what he must have done wrong.  I believe as a business when you say its one price the price shouldn't change. Please keep the communication line through the Revdex.com as I don't want anything undocumented as they like to do with phone calls.

[redacted]

Since we already came to an agreement, why would they reject it?

Not one word In [redacted] rejection Is true. If we would have been told about the issue right away Northern Colorado Concrete would have addressed the issue immediately. If we would have known about the clean up, we would have cleaned up the mess. The job was delayed due to rain. Larry walked the job with [redacted]. Larry said In his response that [redacted] was so excited and pleased with her new patio. [redacted] agreed to pay Larry for the extra work done. [redacted] agreed to pay Northern Colorado Concrete, which In turn makes me believe that she Is satisfied with her new patio.

We will gladly give her a receipt for payment. As far as the extra $200.00, there was a total cost of $400.00 worth of extra work done. Extra work required extra material and labor. [redacted] and Larry agreed to compromise on an extra $200.00. Northern Colorado Concrete did not receive any complaint...

until Revdex.com contacted them 2 1/2 months later.
