My husband opened his business back in 2011 and signed up thru his bank with Northern leasing. We were able to use the machine for a total of 3 days before northern leasing shut it off. When I called to see why the machine was no longer working they informed me that my husband didn't qualify for the machine so they had cancelled my service, then continued in telling me that none of the purchases made with the machine would be going thru due to him not qualifying, but I would still be responsible for not only paying for the fees that went along with the 250.00 in purchases but the 2 yr contract as well, due to it being a non-cancelable contract.

This confuses me. Number one, wouldn't you think they would first make sure the person is eligible before not only issuing them a machine but turning it on and allowing purchases to be made for 3 days? Then they tell me that I just lost 250.00 in merchandise I had sold because they were not going to send the payments thru, yet I still had to pay fees that went along with those payments? (I don't see how that is even in the least bit legal at all!!!!) And why in the world are we still responsible for paying the lease agreement because it's a "non cancelable" agreement when WE ARE NIT THE ONES WHO CANCELED!!!! THEY ARE!!!! (And again how is this legal?) then on top of all of that, and having to cancel my bank due to them literally stealing money out of it that I feel I never owed them and they never once had my permission to take any money out of except for a one time payment we had made, spending hours arguing with very rude, hateful, and completely unreasonable customer service, being harassed by phone and by mail at home and at work, and receiving constant threats of legal action, and paying off over 2,000.00 that went on my credit for a service we were never even eligible for, AFTER ALL OF THAT, like that isn't already breaking I don't know how many laws and pretty much causing entirely way too much stress for a total of 3 days of service, THEN today, 5 YEARS LATER we receive a "FINAL DEMAND" letter in the mail, DEMANDING we pay $7,671.62 within 10 days of February [redacted] (which today is the [redacted], so yea, that's tomorrow, and I just relieved the letter today...) or they are taking legal action and the money will go on our credt. This letter only states I owe this money for my "Equipmemt lease agreement" never once does it say what exactly it's for. I can only assume they're taking about the credit card machine, which I dropped off at the bank I received it from 5 years ago. The letter also states "you have failed to respond to our previous DEMAND FOR PAYMENT." This is the first letter I have received in over 4 years, after I was sent to collections and stuck paying over $2000 I don't believe I should've ever even owed. Now they're trying to take me for almost $8000!!! This mean I will end up paying $10,000 for a service I had a max of 3 days and was cancelled due to not qualifying, not because I cancelled it. Something needs to be done. I don't know what to do, but I can't pay this, nor should I have to. It's completely ridiculous. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM, COMPLETE CON ARTISTS, AMD RUN AN EXTREMELY ILLEGAL BUSINESS. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW OR WHY THEY HAVE YET TO BE SHUT DOWN, WHEN THEY CONTINUE TO RUN SCAMS ON PEOPLE AND RIP THEM OFF FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!! A company that has the rudest, most hateful people working for them I've ever spoken to, I was literally in shock when I was told "sorry about your luck"..... After reading all of the NEGATIVE reviews and not one positive, I think it's safe to say action should be taken against this company and they should be put out of business!

DON'T DO BUSINESS with MBF Leasing or Northern Leasing Systems, Inc. When I sign up for credit card processing company, I've signed for a two years contract. After two years, I've discovered a non-cancelable lease for the processing machine which costs 49.95/mo. + taxes, "insurance" for 48 mons(processing machine average costs $150 to $200). They didn't disclose this non-cancelable lease contract with me and I think they forged my signature. I've requested for the original contract but never get it. This is a very bad company.

We tried to cancel our lease with MBF Leasing LLC (aka Northern Leasing Systems) when our lease was up in April 2015, We contacted MLB ten times over the next nine months. We had returned the leased equipment and had proof of delivery. MLB continued to bill us for nine months (until January 2016) and sent demand for payment letters to us threatening to damage not only our business' credit, but our employee's credit (that was involved in acquiring the equipment). In order to close this lease, we are being forced to pay for additional months. I strongly suggest you lease equipment from a different vendor than this company!

This company is a bunch of scamers. They prey on small businesses. I faxed a cancellation notice to them and then promptly returned my machine. I got a receipt to show they received the equipment and lo and behold they charged my credit card anyways. When I tried calling them and talking to them I got double talk. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told quite rudely and in no uncertain terms that wasn't going to happen. I got a quote for the most updated technology machine from someone else for half of what they were charging us for an old out outdated machine that cost us twice as much to run cards because the technology was so outdated. I have read there are class action lawsuits and various other problems with this company. How are they still allowed to do business and continue to rip people off. We are a small family owned business (the owner and me the [redacted]). They prey on people that know nothing about this type of stuff and get them to sign leases to overpay for crappy equipment. I think they go after small businesses because they know they are not as knowledgeable about these things. Please stop them from ripping more people off.

I canceled my contract with a credit card processing company after discovering several extra fees on my bank statement that were not disclosed to me when I signed up. I found out later, additionally, that I had unknowingly signed a NON-CANCELABLE lease with Northern Leasing Systems for the processing machine. 48 months, 49.95/mo. + taxes, "insurance", and an annual "processing fee". I tried several times to negotiate an early exit from the lease and send the machine back, but each time I was told "...there is no negotiating...you must PAY!"

Read your contracts, people. If the company NORTHERN LEASING SYSTEMS is printed anywhere on that document, DON'T SIGN IT! They are completely unreasonable, unbending, HEARTLESS!

Review: In 2007 A field operator came into the salon I worked and sold us a credit card machine. I signed a contract for card services with [redacted].He said I could terminate the contract if things didnt work out. The salon owner fell ill and the salon suffered.I was not producing enough business to afford the machine. I contacted [redacted] and told him I needed to return the machine and cancel the service. [redacted] would not accept the machine back. After sometime the account was sent to collections. the lady over my case told me I was completely responsible for the machine and full payment even though I tried to return the machine. She overtalked me and was not willing to compromise.When asked if I could speak with someone else she said she was the only one but gave me the number to the attyn over the case. The numbers given kept forwarding me back to the same womans voicemail. Im trying to resolve this issue but in all fairness, I didnt even benefit $4,000 off the machine and dont think this is a fair amount to impose. Please helpDesired Settlement: I would like them to accept the machine, stop contacting me, and remove this derogatory status off of my credit with each of the three bureaus experian , equifax, and transunion
