Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I want to thank you for your help and for what you do at the Revdex.comI am looking to you for advise on what to do [redacted] at Northern gave me an offer to take $off of the $1,fee that he charged me and my fiancéI know what is right and what is wrong and given my military experience I believe that someone's word should be kept true Some people may look at this offer as a nice offer, but I know what the landlord told me, and what she promised me [redacted] stated that if I came up with the voicemail that stated me and my fiancé were waived of the lease he would work with me on this issue I called and U.SCellular can not get back my voicemails from months ago Again I would just pay the and move on if they never lied to me I feel like this is a case of showing if a business is true to their word and I feel like we were taken advantage of in this process just to make extra rent money(me and my fiancé found someone to rent this apartment and had others interested in less then a month) If you have any advise please contact me back I appreciate it Regards, [redacted] ***

I am responding to your letter regarding ID # [redacted] for [redacted] ***At the move out inspection the tenants were told they would receive an itemized letter for any damagesAfter a contractor painted the apartment they were charged $for the additional labor to paint the apartmentThe majority of this apartment required both sealer/ primer and a second coat with finish paint due to soot damage and darkened ceilings and wallsOne gallon of shellac based primer was used to seal the heavy soot areas before approximately 75% of the apartment was second coated.(An additional four gallons of finish paint was used to second coat the apartment) Regarding their allegations of management treating them with disrespect, our response is we could NOT even have a conversation with out having either Mror Mrs [redacted] yelling profanities at myself or the managersIn the spirit of compromise we agreed to deduct $off the remaining balance which Mr[redacted] said he would payPlease see the attached pictures of the soot damageI will also forward the painting contractors invoice with their description of work performed in a second email Regards, [redacted] Northern Management

I received your letter regarding a complaint filed by Mr [redacted] I also received a letter from Mrs [redacted] stating the same concerns Prior to the complaint Mrs [redacted] contacted management and informed us that the tub install was never completed We responded to Mrs [redacted] and admitted that the work order for the final repair was misplaced This was not an intentional act by any means Maintenance was immediately directed to finalize the repair and it has been completed to Mrs [redacted] ’s satisfaction I did apologize to Mrs [redacted] for the delay and have also discussed how the situation was handled with my management team The second concern is regarding future rent payments Mr& Mrs [redacted] have been informed that due to their continued late rent payments that they will be required to pay by bank check or money order They are disputing that this is enforceable I reminded Mr& Mrs [redacted] to read Item of their Non-Standard Rental Provisions which was executed by them at the time of the lease signing It states: “The Landlord may require said late rent, and any subsequent amount due under this Lease, and any applicable additional rental charge, to be paid by cashier’s check or money order only and shall not be required to accept payment by personal check.” It is my understanding that Mr& Mrs [redacted] now understand this provision and have agreed to pay as such Our position is that this matter has been resolved and both parties are satisfied Sincerely,

We do not accept Northern Managements response we will be reaching out to the state housing authority I have never been treated with such disrespectThe last phone call I received from Northern Management, I was not even able to communicate every time I tried to speak, I got screamed at and sworn atI listened to what he had to say and every single time I spoke he screamed and sworeThis is not how you do business to resolve a matter The bills still don't align and they made us cancel payment on water and electric bills that they claimed they paid yet when I contacted the city I was charged for canceling because my payment arrived a week and half before theirsSo Northern Management and Rustic woods sent me letters saying they paid the left over water bill/We Energy bill long before they actually did causing me more moneyI asked to be refunded for the $dollars they cost me and they refuseThis is not sufficient giving the way I was treated

After two years of being a fairly quiet, if often stressed-out, renter, and after dealing with a ridiculous number of issues in my personal life, two months of financial struggles were enough to send an eviction notice *by mail* so that I received it on a Friday and it was up the following Monday I had been under the assumption there was a repayment plan agreement But since doing something crazy like waiting to get a cashiers check to send until there is actually money in my bank account is enough for Northern Management to add on another $late fee, it seems my comprehension of the English language is different from theirs Don't rent from them Don't ever rent from them Or at least make sure you don't have the nerve to fall on hard times if you do Renter loyalty means nothing to them, and I'm incredibly glad now that friends I recommended my apartment complex to didn't move here

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have reviewed Northern Managements responseThey have been nothing but rude to usThe invoices do not add upWe are being charged $450, after calling numerous times with ZERO response of course we have gotten frustrated and upsetThen we we FINALLY got them on the phone, they updated bill they say out of compromise that we never agreed to pay, we said send us all invoices for our review The invoice from the painters that listed a cost adds up $272.50, where is the extra $dollars coming from?! We can't even hold a civil conversation with this management company because they refuse to answer the phone or call back and when we get someone on the phone they don't let you talk and scream at us or talk over us When we moved out and the apartment was inspected we agreed and were told we would only be charged $for the carpet that had shown wear in heavy traffic areas We were told we would NOT be charged for painting because after three years by state law they have to repaint We are not paying for them to repaint On top of the so called 'soot' damage, we do not have a fireplace and we didn't burn candles, this comes from poor installation and an old furnace which any professional will tell youWe paid out of pocket to replace the furnace filters on a regular basis

Wife and I had a 2 bed 2 bath apartment at Northern lights estates in Fond du Lac. Brand new when we moved in. Lived there for 5 years with no problems before buying a house. had the same manager for that time...very professional and easy to talk to...

I received your letter regarding a complaint filed by Mr. [redacted].  I also received a letter from Mrs. [redacted] stating the...

same concerns.  Prior to the complaint Mrs. [redacted] contacted management and informed us that the tub install was never completed.  We responded to Mrs. [redacted] and admitted that the work order for the final repair was misplaced.  This was not an intentional act by any means.  Maintenance was immediately directed to finalize the repair and it has been completed to Mrs. [redacted]’s satisfaction.  I did apologize to Mrs. [redacted] for the delay and have also discussed how the situation was handled with my management team.

The second concern is regarding future rent payments.  Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] have been informed that due to their continued late rent payments that they will be required to pay by bank check or money order.  They are disputing that this is enforceable.  I reminded Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] to read Item 7 of their Non-Standard Rental Provisions which was executed by them at the time of the lease signing.  It states:  “The Landlord may require said late rent, and any subsequent amount due under this Lease, and any applicable additional rental charge, to be paid by cashier’s check or money order only and shall not be required to accept payment by personal check.”  It is my understanding that Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] now understand this provision and have agreed to pay as such.

Our position is that this matter has been resolved and both parties are satisfied.

Sincerely,

I want to thank you for your help and for what you do at the Revdex.com. I am looking to you for advise on what to do.
[redacted] at Northern gave me an offer to take $500.00 off of the $1,000.00 fee that he charged me and my fiancé. I know what is right and what is wrong and given my military experience I believe that someone's word should be kept true.  Some people may look at this offer as a nice offer, but I know what the landlord told me, and what she promised me..  [redacted] stated that if I came up with the voicemail that stated me and my fiancé were waived of the lease he would work with me on this issue.  I called and U.S. Cellular can not get back my voicemails from 3 months ago.  Again I would just pay the 500.00 and move on if they never lied to me.
I feel like this is a case of showing if a business is true to their word and I feel like we were taken advantage of in this process just to make extra rent money.
(me and my fiancé found someone to rent this apartment and had 5 others interested in less then a month)
If you have any advise please contact me back
I appreciate it

My name is [redacted] and I had filled out a complaint on Northern Management ([redacted]) and I have heard back from them
regarding this.  They have been fixing the issues I have had in the home and are working on the arrangement on the payment of the
late fees. Thank you for helping me with this and please disregard this complaint due to Northern Management working with me and fixing issues.
Thanks,
     [redacted]

The people who work for this company are rude, uncompassionate and are only worried about getting their hands on your money. Im a single mother of two children. I lived in one of the apartments run by this company. I was recently in an relationship, one night he beat me near inches of my life. I called the cops and had him arrested. 2 weeks later this company had me evicted due to police activity. So instead of understanding and having any compassion they evicted me and kept my security deposit and my rent for the whole month although I was only occupying the apartment for 2 weeks into the month.

I am responding to the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted].  I have...

contacted Mr. [redacted] to discuss his claims.  Mr. [redacted] states that our management staff informed him that he could vacate the unit and would be released of any liability.  I have asked Mr. [redacted] to provide some verification of this statement since my manager does not agree this was communicated and it is not our policy to guarantee a release until the prospective tenant executes a new lease agreement. Mr. [redacted] has failed to provide a voice mail that he claims substantiates his position.

In my review of the documents Mr. [redacted] signed a lease agreement that expires9/30/15.  Mr. [redacted] purchased a home and provided us with a written notice to vacate.  Northern Management was in the process of securing a renter for that unit at the time Mr. [redacted] provided notice; however that tenant backed out of the agreement.  Northern Management successfully re-rented the unit on 3/1/15 releasing Mr. [redacted] of any further liability. Mr. [redacted] was released of $5,033 of liability based on the re-rental.  Mr. [redacted] currently owes Northern Management $1007 which is certainly collectable based on the agreements executed by Mr. [redacted].

In an effort to settle this matter I will consider reducing the balance due to $500.00.  Mr. [redacted] feels he deserved a call when the original tenant did not execute the agreement, while I understand Mr. [redacted] would have appreciated a call my management team was not operating under the perception that they had guaranteed Mr. [redacted] he would be released.  Mr. [redacted] entered into a contract with Northern Management and did not fulfill the terms of the contract.  Certainly Mr. [redacted] could have made an effort to contact us to ensure everything was taking care of since he is the one who broke the agreement.  Northern Management is under no obligation to offer any settlement to Mr. [redacted] but based on my conversation with Mr. [redacted] he clearly feels he was going to be released from this liability sooner that it actually happened.

I would ask Mr. [redacted] to respond to my offer and retract his complaint from the Revdex.com.  Upon acceptance of this offer I will send a revised statement to Mr. [redacted].

Sincerely,

I have reviewed the additional concerns stated by Mr. [redacted].  Mr. [redacted] is requesting he be fully released from any liability based on what he perceives was communicated to him.  Mr. [redacted] has not been able to provide any additional information that allows me to adjust my settlement offer any further.  Mr. [redacted] chose to purchase a home while under a legally binding lease agreement. Northern Management was able to re-rent his unit and reduce Mr. [redacted]’s liability by over $5,000.  While I understand Mr. [redacted]’s frustration, I have an experienced management team that I do not feel would make the statements Mr. [redacted] claims.  In good faith I agreed to reduce the liability to $500.00 in the event my management team did not communicate clearly with Mr. [redacted].  I will adjust Mr. [redacted]’s account to reflect a balance due of $500.00.  I hope you find this to be a very reasonable offer.

Sincerely,

My lawyer will be sending letters. It was that bad. They will never let you leave. The Stevens Point location does not have a maintenance employee. We went a year without a working kitchen light, a sliding door that did not work, a air conditioner that rained on the inside of our apartment into the electric heaters, glass windows that accumulated ice by the inch, the sliding door rained on the inside, the water heater leaked, the bathroom sink leaked out of the top where the faucet attaches to the basin and out of the bottom pipes, I could go on. I have images of everything. Then I was charged for leaving more than the actual rent I paid, until they found another tenant, this is something that was not in my initial lease. I have kept all of the papers and as I mentioned my lawyer drafted up a letter and it has been sent today.

Horrible place to rent! The management knowingly lies and robs from hard working tenants who pay rent on time and as stated. Personally we had an agreement with the landlord to leave rent in a secure location before the 1st. of every month which worked for multiple years but they stated that didn't matter and forced to pay hundreds of dollars in fines. Even though the acting landlord stated that we did and supported us, [redacted] and management still wanted to rob people. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Robbing people of money and not providing the essentials stated in the contract.

I received your letter dated 10/29/15 regarding [redacted] and her apartment. We had already reached an agreement verbally with Mr [redacted] and our position remains the same. There will be no more negotiating regarding this matter.

I am responding to the complaint filed by Mrs. [redacted]  I have contacted Mrs. [redacted] to discuss her claims.  Mrs. [redacted] agrees with our position and has subsequently sent a letter to the Revdex.com retracting her claims.  Mrs. [redacted] and Northern Management have worked out a payment agreement for her late fees and it appears both parties are willing to move forward under these terms.  Northern Management is considering this matter closed.  If you have not received the response from Mrs. [redacted] please contact her directly.

Sincerely,
