This company is a predatory lender. I have been paying a $300 dollar loan since 2014. I did not have the funds to pay it off and after a while I the payments just kept going and decreasing by 2 or 3 dollars. Long story - short. Please don't get a loan with this company. I called today and asked for the pay off balance and she told me I had a second loan out with them and that is not true. She had me on hold and came back to say- after some check we found you do not owe us any money and we are going to consider this account paid. REALLY!!! Lesson learned.

Review: My complaint is that I borrowed money from this company in the amt of 250.00 and they are takeing money out of my acct before I get paid and has cause me three overdraft and I had to get the money elsewhere to cover I had a few conversation with them and they were suppose to fix the problem and also how and the world own the 250 plus interst end up to be almost 2000 dollar no wayDesired Settlement: refund back and I only paying them 100 more dollars

Open further review, It seems as though each time you called one of our agents was but on hold and then when we attempted to reach back out there was no answer. In order to change your payment frequency we need a new signed agreement. That is what was holding up the change. I will reach out to you now so we can get this taken care of.

Review: I had a loan with this company. I contacted them in June to find out what my payoff was. They gave me an amount and it was taken out of my checking account in July. I received an email from them telling me I still owed money and it was in the collection department. I replied to the email telling them the amount had been paid off according to what they told me I owe. I told them not to contact me again. They sent another email telling me to call so they could work out a payment arrangement. Once again I replied that the loan had been paid and not to contact me again to take me to court instead. They sent yet another email asking me to contact them to work out a payment. I have the email saying I owed a certain amount to pay this off in full and that is the amount that was taken out of my account. They must think I am stupid to pay an amount I do not owe and if I did pay this off what is to prevent them from trying to pull something like this again? I paid the amount I was told I owed. Thank you for your assistance.Desired Settlement: For them to acknowledge they made a mistake and to show y account is paid in full.

If this is this case I completely apologize for any inconvenience this way have caused you. It is possible that your account was not status'd correctly and you are still recieving system generated emails for the reason. If you are able to supply me with any information so I can access your record. I would be happy to correct this for you!

Review: I applied for a loan with the company and was told that I did not qualify, but they have been since drafting my checking account for payments. I have incurred bank charges due to this, they provided compensation for the first time, but then I got a wire charge and it has happened again.Desired Settlement: $120 payment for bank charges relating to their erroneous debit, which in turn affected other payments in my account.

Northern Plains takes full responsibility for the errors on Ms [redacted] bank account. And we have worked with Ms [redacted] in order to refund all charges that were deducted as well as make up for any bank fee's she was inconvenienced by. I (Operation Manager) personally got on the phone with Ms [redacted] and her banking associate to take full responsibility and ask the banking associate to not hold Ms [redacted] responsible for our error. And he informed the both of us that he would be reversing the charge.

Do not ever use this company. I tried to pay the loan off the first week I received it and they would not let me. Then I tried the following week and once again they would not allow me. Finally got someone to allow me to make a full payment. So for a $500 loan I paid $900 back. What a rip off. Don't trust this company. I know I will not make this mistake again.

Review: I had gotten a 400 dollar loan from Northern plains funding and of which they asked me how I would like to pay back the 400 dollar loan they gave me three options and the option I choose was option three I would pay off the loan with four payments of 130.09 and since I had followed through with my part of the loan agreement and I wanted the paperwork stating the loan was done after they took the forth payment from my account and when I contacted the northern plains funding the man that I spoke to told me that I still owed 400 more dollars and I said that's not right I've already paid my dues on the loan and I aasked them to review the conversation when I agreed on the loan and they told me they would and that they would call me tomorrow with the final answer and the next day they called and tolde they couldn't find the phone call and that they were sorry but I would still have to pay the 400 dollars extra I am furious and I have to dispute this with my bank because they lied and are stealing my moneyDesired Settlement: I want this to be over with and I want my money back that they took from me the other day that was the 5th payment of 130.09 which I only agreed to 4 I want my 130.09 back and I want nothing more to do with this company they steal and ruin people's lives

Ms [redacted]

While attempting to settle a loan agreement with this company I phoned them to make arrangements to pay off the loan on the very same day of the call. I was prepare to make final payment and settle the loan. I gave my information including debit card number and exp date. After giving this information I was placed on hold for what seemed to be an abnormally long time only to have the clerk return to inform me that my debit was declined.
I knew this not to be true because I personally deposited cash into my account to cover this transaction and had just finished doing the same with another lender. I was the transferred to the person that I understood to be the supervisor. He informed me that the "system" had declined my payment. I asked what "system" do you mean because it certainly wasn't my bank but he insisted that the payment wasn't authorized. He then informed that I could try again on Tuesday of the upcoming week because that Monday was a holiday. I reluctantly ended the call with him on that note feeling that this was an attempt to extend payments to gain more interest and less on the principal. This appears to be just shy of a scam operation with no interest in help their customers make any real progress on settling their loans.

I was in a desperate situation approximately 6 months ago. I applied for and was granted a loan from this company. I faithfully made my payments and finally last night called to inquire what my payoff balance was. The representative was very helpful, told me my balance, and asked me to hold while she spoke to her supervisor. Moments later, she got back on the line and said that her supervisor agreed to close the loan that day. I was so happy I cried. The representative was friendly and was glad she could help me. I sincerely appreciate this company and the help they gave me at my time of need.

Review: Spoke to a representative of the company. Was told that my next payment would be drafted on 5-8-2015. Unauthorized debit was posted on 4-25-2015Desired Settlement: Explain why I was told one thing but bank debit was processed anyway. Waive a payment apply to account

Ms [redacted] thank you for reaching out to us with your concern, We take each and every concern very serious. I would like to point out though that you signed the loan agreement on 11/20/15 for the amount of $250. Since receiving this loan you have made five successful payments of $75.08 each. Each transaction is outlined on the loan agreement. You were also sent the available payment options to pay off this loan. I see on the complaint that you have stated you have had multiple attempts to contact us but since receiving the initial principal amount our records indicate there has been no communication initiated by you to seek information to payoff this loan faster. With that said we are always available to speak to help you get this situation resolved please call us at [redacted].

Review: [redacted] WHO WORKS THERE CALLED MY PHONE A TOTAL OF 6 TIMES. SHE ALSO CALLED MY FORMER PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. I ADVISED THESE PEOPLE TO NOT CALL MY JOB. ONLY MY CELL. OR EMAIL ME. SHE SAID I REFUSED TO ANSWER HER PHONE. THIS IS NOT THE WAY COLLECTIONS IS TO BE DONE. I WISH TO COMPLAIN.Desired Settlement: I WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO CALL ME IF MY ACCOUNT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. I WANT THIS COMPANY TO CALL ME AT ###-###-#### ONLY!!!!! THEY SHOULD CREDIT MY ACCOUNT OR PAY IT OFF. BECAUSE I HAVE TOLD THEM TO ONLY CALL ME ON MY CELL OR EMAIL ME AT [redacted]
