Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I received your letter dated 10/7/re: Northside MoversAgain, I reiterate that I was told by Evelyn that there would be no up charges and the truck would be coming out of Toms River, not Hawthorne specifically!Plus the fact I contacted the company times after the move and each time I was told I would get a call back from the supervisorI'm still waiting on the callIt never cameWhat a horrible company to work withTo charge a customer more than double the quote on the day of the move and to demand payment in cash! I didn't have that kind of cash at handWhat a stressful situation on what is a stressful day to begin with....?? Regards, [redacted]

I have moved many times in my life and there is no better company than this I had another company abruptly cancel my small move and I was in a huge bindMy boxes were sitting in the lobby of my building and needed to be taken to my new home I called North side Moving on a whim and they were TERRIFIC! Within hours, John had movers arrive and take care of this entire situation Plus, the price he quoted was the actual price and the crew was great Kudos that there are still good companies out there I recommend them highly

Hello I have received your letter in reference to the customer [redacted] I have carefully reviewed and pulled up her quote and what she had paidPulling up her records in our system it seems as though she did not mention she needed packing materials and that is what had made her estimate fluctuate the way it didWe did state to her that packing materials are additional but she said she was doing her own packing; had we known she was not securing her furniture we would have estimated with the materialsWe also do state that this was not a flat rate and we do put that in writing in the emails as wellShould you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to give me a call on my direct line at [redacted] Thank you

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have gone back and looked at my quote and it does not say it is a flat rateI never said I thought it was a flat rateI am not arguing about wrapping my furitureWhat I have an issue with is that I was only quoted a price for blankets making it seem like that was all the business usedI was never told about shrink wrapI was quoted dollars per blanket and ended up spending for shrink wrapI was never made aware that shrink wrap would be used or could be usedAlso there was damaged to my wall and that was not addressedI have called the company, that was the first thing I did and I got no whereI actually wsa argued with by staffI told the staff that since there could be no resolution over the phone that I would have to contact the Revdex.com Regards, [redacted]

Hello I have received your email in reference to the customer [redacted] His complaint was in reference to a missing chrome wire for a shelf standWe did state to the customer that it is his responsibility to check the truck as the movers were unloadingIt is not in our possession and we do advise the customer check his home once moreShould you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to give me a call on my direct line at [redacted] Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: I do admit I didn't update them on number of boxes but that does not mean I owe them more money80$ an hour for hours, is 800$ plus 878$ in their materials, including ones I did not ask for, i.eExtra wardrobe boxes they chose to use, does not equal $that I paidAnd the truck was broken down for at least an hour and a half in that time no loading/unloading was being doneThat $should be taken off at least.

I am rejecting this response because: When I spoke with my Rep Evelyn I made her aware that there were give or take about stairs that lead to my apartment because she asked me what floor I was on and told her 2nd floor she asked if there was an elevator I said no about stairs that lead to the apartmentWhen I called on Monday and spoke with Evelyn she apologized for all thisI asked to speak to a manager or a supervisor she said he will be back in the office July I told her I will be calling back with this complaint to speak with himThis response sounds like its from the driver not a professional someone that is a manager or supervisorAlso as I mentioned in the previous email we told the driver if he wanted to park in the back of the building as it was closer to the apartment, he said no im ok where I am parked so that is on himPoor handling of business

*** please understand you never received a flat rateThe estimate you received is based on hours of labors plus packing suppliesYou were charged accordinglyThe gratuity is optional not mandatory so that is totally to your discretionWe feel that your charges are justAlso there was never any mention of stairs, had you told Evelyn you had stairs she would have told you that we charge $per flightIf there is anything we can do, please let us knowWe are happy when our customers are happy

Hello I have received your letter in reference to the customer *** *** Please take a look at the consumer's invoice, our physical address *** *** *** *** *** The consumer has yet to show any proof that she was promised any truck departing from toms riverIt is believed to be that the consumer is mistaken or has different companies mixed upAs far the payment method is concerned its clearly stated on the consumer's work order that we only accept cash money order or bank certified check as a form of payment Again as a supervisor I would like to extend my deepest apologies that you as a consumer was placed in a situation of stress that is certainly not our goal rather there sheer miscommunicationOur number one goal is customer satisfaction . I am rejecting this response because: The Moving Company was contacted the next day after the move.They are telling you that we didn't check the truck, At year old I'm not going to climb any truck, Also they keep saying to checkall the boxesthe unit was wrap in clear plastic, by it selfI had tried to contact the moving company
but they fail to callbackThe moving company has fail from the start by changing the moving hour from to 1230there by rushing to get to new place by the allowable time of hours

I have seen my fair share of moversBut they don’t even come close to the potency of Northside MovingThese men were just machines! It took them just an hour and half to finish packing and loading everything from my 3-bedroom apartmentThey weren’t just fast but also very thoroughEvery item was packed with great careThey delivered everything on time in great conditionI am just at awe still thinking about how easy and simple they make relocation look like

I called Northside and was given a price for my move it couldn't have been easier I told her piece by piece what I had my everything was in storage on the first floor it had been put there by a moving coso no disassembly just put it in the truckOn the other end also first floor and only minutes away just drop and goHe barely looked in the space and started quoting prices beyond what I was quoted so told him I didn't have that much cash he wouldn't budge so he left without moving me

She also stated that she did not need any packing materials, but the day of her move the contents (her furniture) were not wrapped or protectedSo, as a result we had to make sure everything was protected because we are liable for her belongings. I am rejecting this response because: When I spoke with Evelyn on the phone she asked me what floor the apt was on I said second floor she asked is there an elevator I said no there are about stair give or takeShe never mentioned any extra costs for thisSo it is the fault of your employee for not being more descriptive or chargesHad I been aware of these additional charges it would not have been an issue and would have been better prepared for thisAlso as previously stared we told the driver to park in the back of the building as it was closer, he refused stating he was fine where he was parkedTo end this conversation maybe you need to have a meeting with your employees so they have a better understanding as to what they need to state in the contracts and what they need to tell the customers exactly. Please don't call these people for any type of movingThey are horrible and they can con you cunninglyThey always charge you to times their real quoteI called them two weeks back for a movingThey never honor the appointment and they came hours after the appointmentAfter reaching the storage, the driver handed over a bill to which was three times the real quoteThe real quote was for $and his bill was for $I only had $with me and the driver(very rude) insisted to clear the bill before unloading the stuffI had to go and get the balance from the bank and they only removed the stuff after getting the whole moneySince they wasted a lot of time waiting for the money, they could not put any of my stuff to the storage room because the store was almost closingand they dumped everything on the floor near the entranceI had to go with people the next day to put everything in my store room and I paid them $Call these people only if all the other moving companies are shut down

Northside Moving looked good on paper given how many years they have been in the businessSo I hired them to handle my recent moveTheir customer service was so friendly and resourceful and gave me a very reasonable quoteThe movers arrived minutes early! They were so efficient and organizedTheir packing skills were so practiced and creativeEverything went very smoothly and they set off after just hoursI received the delivery right on the date they promisedEverything traveled very well and I was very relieved to see that
