Poor service resulted in a secondary service call
My home warranty company sent this company out to service my air conditioner after it stopped cooling On 7/25/the tech arrived, checked the temp/thermostat reading in the house and proceeded to the outside componentThere he checked the Run Capacitor's voltage and determined it was faultyThe tech swapped out the capacitor, stepped back inside my home to see if the unit was blowing cooler air, collected my service fee payment, and leftFast forward, 8/28/17, my unit was blowing hot air againMy home warranty company sends out a different company who determines that the same part is no longer functioningThis tech replaces the capacitor and proceeded to check my systems coolant levels which were determined to be low and required chargingI was told that this check should have been performed by the first companyThat low coolant levels made the system work harder which resulted in the capacitor's premature failureMy previo

I contacted the company on Friday, August 12th after submitting an online service request with First American Home Warranty and being issued this company as my contractor I waited on hold for minutes before being able to speak with an agent about my Air Conditioner repair I spent time on the phone setting up an appointment for Monday, August 15th I was told that they did not have any Saturday appointments and was set up for an appointment on Monday, August 15th I asked for a window and was told between 9am-5pm I asked if that could be shortened and was told to call back on Monday after 9:30am I called back on Monday at 9:30am and was told that I didn't have an appointment scheduled for Monday and there was no record of my conversation from Friday They said there was nothing they could do and told me I was put on the schedule for Tuesday, August 16th Same window from 9- I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told one would call me back but one never did Tuesd

Our home warranty company contracted this company to fix our air conditionerThe technicians supposedly fixed the air conditioner and then claimed that we would need to pay $out of pocket or that their work would not do any good, so we paidNow, few days later our air conditioner is not working againWhen we went to the backyard to look at it, we discovered that the cover of the air conditioner had been damaged and screws just laying beside the unitSo now I am out $with a not working, now damaged air conditionerThe next company that our Home warranty sent out claims they spend a lot of time fixing problems the first company had causedThey also stated that the work the first company had performed is not meant to be a permanent fix, so essentially they scammed us! Very upset, my home warranty company claim they cannot do anything about the matter even though they are the ones who sent them to us knowing they have an F rating with many complaints against them!!!

Defective AC Unit already replaced twice now its defective a 3rd time and they want us to pay the city codes again of $and the unit is warrant
Want us to pay for city codes a 2nd time since the 2nd replacement is defective Company claims the warranty company closed the claim, but AC unit is under warranty and they do not want to honor the warranty They also wants us to pay for city codes a 2nd time Whatever you do, do not use this company they are crooks

Northstar Mechanical was sent to my house by First American Home Warranty I now believe they are working together to scam consumers Our a/c unit stopped working on June 8th Northstar came to my home on June 9th and informed us that our compressor was outThe contractor said he would get the part ordered that night because it was a Friday and we only have that one unit On the following Tuesday we still have not heard from them We called them and were told that we would need to pay $or they wouldn't order the parts They used words like code and mod so that the warranty would not cover some of the work and listed optional work that did not need to be done The warranty company did call and tell them to order the required parts after we agreed to pay a lower rate of $ We called our code and compliance office to find out if the unit needed to be brought to code He said it did not but Northstar refused to remove the work not needed to bring it to code We spent hours battling back and forth between Northstar and First American First American clearly did not have our best interest in this situation at all They also listed work as a modification Modification meant replacement If it is listed as a modification, I would have to pay for it We have the Premier Plan and First Class Upgrade with First American percent of the work that was on the invoice was covered under my plan but because they listed it as a modification, I had to pay for it our of my pocket On Thursday , one week after the a/c went out, they finally got us on their installation schedule for Monday the 18thWe had sent them an email from our code and compliance officer stating the a/c did not need to be brought to code They called us Monday morning saying they had spoken to our Code and Compliance Officer and that he said it needed to be brought up to codeThis was a flat lie When they arrived at the house they demanded a check for $before they started the work We gave them a post dated check as I was not paying them before the work was even complete They refused to do the work so we offered a new check but said that if any unneeded work was done to the unit, we would be suing With that they packed up and left without completing any workGuess they knew we caught them in a lie They installer went on about his rights as an American and he didn't have to do anything he didn't want to do We had been asking First American all along to assign a new contractorThey refused Now that Northstar has backed out we have a new contractor It is Day with no a/c The upstairs of my house is degrees My children can't live at home right now because of it Northstar are nothing but extortionist They demand money for work that is not required or needed They wanted to charge $for a part that cost $ This company needs to be shut down We have filed a complaint against the home warranty company for breach of contract as these companies are clearly working together to scam consumers We have spent over hours on the phone with these companies over the last week Disgusting

No receipt after a payment was made for $as requested numerous times
On 4/3/a tech came out to repair my ac unit in my homeOnce he arrived he stated that he had to collect $before he started the jobI was never informed of this amount prior to the tech coming outThe money was paid and he completed the jobWhen ask for a receipt the tech didn't have a receipt book so I called the office several times requesting a receipt and no one has made an attempt to see where the $is or if the money was really owed for the repair since I have warrantyIt is very unprofessional and I would like a receipt of payment

Technician left my air conditioning unit opened without repairing it and without letting me know he was leavingNo resolution after a week
9/20/I filed a service call with *** that my house was not cooling
They had Northstar Mechanical contact meTheir rep told me I would be contacted by a tech within a 9-windowI was contacted at 4:30pm by the tech letting me know he would be at my home in minutesAn unmarked chevy blazer pulled in front of my homeA gentleman in plain street clothing got out approached me and told me he was Ron and he was there to look at my A/C
He approached the outdoor unit and without pulling a tool out or even looking down through the top he says your coils are dirtyThat will cost you $to clean itI told him I would have to confirm that with my warranty companyHe then asked his assistant to grab the toolsAt that time I explained I was replacing the unit this fall

Faulty installation of equipment, failure to respond/repair the AC units they provided and installed
We contracted this company to provide and install the HVAC system at our PreSchool facility
Since the building has been complete there has been issue after issueThis is especially sensitive because there are children in the school and the units break down constantly leaving the classrooms hot They rarely respond to me within hours after I call and call
Sometimes they never reply
We finally had to hire another contractor to fix all the issues of the faulty installation Northstar did
We should not have had to pay another company for their mistakes and what work they did do faulty or not should be under warranty

Repair to the AC unit , failed multiple attempts
third attempt to get my AC unit fix, and A/C is still not ed using my home warranty assigned contractorThe company initially came out and replaced the coil unit on the AC unitWhile replacing the coil the technicial broke the drain pipe and there was water all over my house from the atticI was told by the company that they will come back and fix the damage
The same unit broke after a monthI got the same contractor assignedThey initially put me on a schedule for Monday 7/for the repairAfter waiting for the whole day, the tech showed up at PM , inspected the unit and informed me that there is a leak somewhere and he has to fill the freon into the unitAfter speaking to someone on the phone he came back and told me he does not have enough freon in his truckHe has to come back with Freon and he is not sure whenright now I am stuck with this contractor and sitting in a degree home without Air conditioning

Company never showed up despite knowing a new born (day old child) was in the House that is having ac problems in 100+ weatherI had to stay home two full days and now I have to wait for another contractor to fix my ac
