This is an illegitimate complaint and everything it contains is not true, there is nothing more I can do for this customer other then the $refund I offered him alreadythere is nothing more I can do, period!Thank you.Amine

Hello, We have offered [redacted] damage valuation of $per lbs or $per items which is a total of $for all items claimed but she still demanding more.Max had offered to revisit her home and reassess the items but she refused, I've called her also times and only got a voice mail I can't help [redacted] if she not accepting our damage compensation to her.Regards.Amine

I requested service from Nova Movers and they were scheduled to arrive between 1-pm on Nov28, The electricity was not yet on in my new apartment, but given the projected arrival time I wasn't concernedI had very few large itemsYet, when it neared pm, I grew concernedSo I called Amine to express my worries about the lighting situation and he said, "Don't worryWe will make it work." Once it reached 3:pm and they still had not arrived, I was very concernedI called Amine again and he said the two movers were on their wayThey arrived at 3:They were able to get everything out of the apartment within an hour, though they did not bring the TV box that I requested nor a requested mattress bagBy the time we reached the second location, it was darkI asked them if they would be okay moving in low lighting (I had candles.) And they were surprisedAmine had not told them about the power situationNonetheless, they were able to move everything in pretty efficientlyI credit them for working through a less than ideal situationTwo days later, I check my bank account and saw that I was charged more than I expected -- $The rate I was quoted was $per hour flatWhen I called Amine to ask why I was being charged so much for three hours of service, he said the price included an hour of travel time and an additional $feeThis was the first time either fee was mentioned to meHe suggested I check my emailI didThere was no record of him providing a breakdown of the price that included the additional $I expected hiring movers would be costly, but I find the practice of including hidden fees to be totally dishonest and disingenuousIf I had been given a full estimate at the time I scheduled the move I would at least have done so with my eyes open and with the ability to make a fair comparison between NovaMovers price and that of their competitorsI would certainly not recommend anyone hire this companyI've dealt with several movers, and this has been my worst experience

Hello *** ***, I never saw you reply below and I'm sorry about that, as I suggested previously the amount of compensation we can offer you is $but we will go head and mail you a check of $as compensation for the repairs needed since the furniture is not new and we honestly don't know in which condition it was prior to the move. Hello ***, We have entered into an hourly moving agreement which you had accepted and I fulfilled, my crew safely moved your belongings into the new location.I NEVER committed to move you in hours as you stated many times simply because I never saw your belongings, or knew the
accessibility of your addresses (stairs, how far is the elevators, parking lot, hallways....).I investigated my crew and neither one was disrespectful to you and both recognize how nice and friendly you were.I called you after the move is done and asked if there was anything else you needed the crew to do before they leave and you were completely happy, you initialed and signed the contract with the updated number of hours and total and promised to leave them a good review online!days after you called and emailed me saying that your friends with similar moves paid way less then what you paid, that's your move shouldn't take move then hours and that's one of my crew was asking if you were married, so I explained your contract to you and questioned you on why you didn't say anything the say day, the following day? and with good faith I refunded you $to make you happy because you're my customer and I want to make sure you're satisfied. I am rejecting this response because:As I've told the company several times, I was not happy with the service and did not confront the situation on the phone after it was completed for several reasons - his workers were still in my house and I didn't feel comfortable getting into a confrontation over the phone with them there, I wanted his workers to get out of my home as quickly as possible as it had been a long day (6 hours) and I didn't want to have to pay them even more, I was honestly exhausted, moving is exhausting as it is and I had been up for 30 straight hours. After the move I was at a business conference for a week and was not able to follow up on the service and express my disappointment. Once I did reach out I explained why it had taken me awhile to give my feedback and why I was disappointed in the service. Amine keeps saying that they did not quote me at 3 hours and that the quote I received was actually an example of pricing structure. This is absolutely ridiculous to me as I went to their website and clicked on request a quote and then emailed them explaining my situation and asked for a quote. The email I received back said Moving Service Quote. I filled out and returned the furniture spreadsheet and never was I told that the expected length of time would be more than 3 hours. I also had no reason to think it wouldn't take more than 3-4 hours since I had received quotes from several other area movers who had all given me similar time frames and pricing. I expect a moving company who's been in business for several years to give me a fair and reasonable estimate because that's what they do and they do it all of the time. Not only do I expect this from a financial standpoint but also from a scheduling standpoint because most apartment complexes require the tenant to reserve the freight elevator and loading dock for a block of time.  I had reserved my block of time based on the 3 hour quote but because my 3 hour job turned into a 7 hour job (sorry I was mistaken before, I just realized that I was charged for 7 hours and not 6 as I had originally thought) I had to reschedule the loading dock and elevator. Now despite what Amine has said this did not delay the movers in any way as I did this all in transit from the old apartment to the new apartment and everything was ready upon arrival. I'm not surprised that the movers said that they were respectful to me, maybe to them it's not inappropriate to ask a young woman if she's married multiple times but to me it's uncomfortable, inappropriate and just not at all relevant to the job at hand especially when these people are moving your belongings and in your home. Also as I've told Amine before, nothing about the move should have been unusual. My old apartment was on the ground floor of the apartment, meaning that everything could just be moved out the front door without using the elevator. The hallways weren't abnormally long and the movers moved everything with dollies anyways. When we arrived at the new apartment, the loading dock was solely for our use only as well as the freight elevator. We weren't sharing the loading dock or freight elevator with anyone and the apartment was about 15 feet from the elevator so again not very difficult. There was no bad weather, the week before it had snowed but that had no impact on the movers ability to do their jobs as the snow was all cleared out by then.  I filled out their furniture spreadsheet and also explained that I was in a 1 bedroom apartment so they had a fairly good idea of how much stuff they would be moving.  The biggest issue here is that this felt like a bait and switch and very dishonest. If Amine had told me from the beginning that the Moving Service Quote was not actually a quote but just an example of pricing structure then I would have questioned more about how long they expected the move to take so that I could make an informed decision as to whether or not I would have used Nova Movers. If I had been told it could take 6-7 hours I would not have gone forward because that was outside of my price range. But since I was told 3 hours by Nova Movers as well as several other moving companies, I expected that it would take 3 hours, maybe 4 if there were some issues. Moving is stressful and expensive and to be taken advantage of in this situation is upsetting and frustrating. I had expected to pay around $355.10 based on the quote I was given for 3 hours but was charged $630.70 for 7 hours. That is just unacceptable and deceptive so I cannot accept Amine's response and frankly the $75 refund he gave me was not nearly enough given the grossly inaccurate quote and the poor service I received.

Review: Mr. Aminh F[redacted] and I spoke on the phone regarding moving my furniture and belongings to a new home on May 28th 2014. He said he was actually coming during the move with 3 movers. On the day itself, Max introduced himself in person as Aminh F[redacted]'s partner in the business and that Mr F[redacted] sent Max and Max's crew of two others to move me instead because Mr. F[redacted] was unable to move my belongings himself. I had asked Mr F[redacted] all that day to see him but he did not appear personally. One of the movers named Julio claimed he was not a mover but a painter when I corrected him about the moving maneuver of one furniture. He said he had only moved once before this day. They did not wrap the furniture in my house because they said they will wrap them in the truck when all have been situated. I did not see if they actually did. After the furniture have been moved in, Max came to me and showed me a deep scratch on my fine dining table furniture and I showed him three chipped areas on a new headboard. I then showed him all the dents and deep scratches on the hardwood floor, the entrance door, and the walls on the stairs. Max expressed remorse and said "this is really not acceptable to happen for any mover." I have 2 witnesses who heard this and he promised to pay the damages out of his own pocket. When I got the estimates for the repair of the dining table and the headboard, not even charging them for the other damages, I spoke to Max on the phone and told him the estimates. He then said he will refer this to Aminh F[redacted]. Mr F[redacted] had not answered my calls nor messages several times but finally got him and made him promise to come and see the damages himself. He set the day for July 9th between 12 and 2;30 BUT DID NOT SHOW UP. He asked Max to come instead and lied that I had agreed to receive $100.00 for the damages. The estimates cost $350 for the dining table and $250 for the headboard. Mr F[redacted] never called to let me know abut sending Max either. He never showed up to assess the damages incurred during the move. I waited to settle the problem with them peacefully but Mr F[redacted] cannot keep his word about speaking to me in person.Desired Settlement: I simply ask for the payment of the damage estimates on the dining table and headboard as above. I will close my eyes on the many dents and chips on my floor and walls.
