I have an extended warranty on my used car through NVP warranty. My car currently needs the axles replaced and they refuse to cover the replacement due to cracks in the boot seals of the axles. I argue that axles would never need replace or would show no major signs of wear without those issues being present. Therefore the premise on which they would actually replace a worn axle is flawed.

Mr.:

On behalf of NVP, I apologize for any inconvenience you may have been caused and your dissatisfaction with NVP. I have reviewed your claim, *** in conjunction with your NVP contract. On August 26, 2019 you brought your vehicle into the repair shop stating you felt a vibration and were concerned that the seals were beginning to deteriorate. That same day NVP’s adjuster ordered a Third Party Inspector to make an assessment of the CV axles, CV joints and CV boots.

The inspector discovered that both inner CV boots were leaking grease. The right front inner CV boot was split into two pieces. The left front CV boot was also cracking. Due to the Third Party Inspector’s assessment, the CV joints are not covered under your contract with NVP. On page two of your contract with NVP, in the first paragraph: CV joints are covered unless the boots are torn missing or damaged. Therefore, NVP denied your claim because the CV boots were damaged and had a loss of lubricant caused by improper maintenance.

NVP Warranty strives to assist its customers with their vehicle repairs whenever NVP can in accordance with the terms of the contracts it has with its customers. If you have any other questions or concerns about your vehicle and your NVP contract please contact NVP’s claims manager *** at***.

I have been to 4 Machanic’s they all said I need a compressor Bill one of the adjusters at NVP Warranty told me to go to another Machanic that will deal with there service contract so I did. Its been 4 days dealing with the 3 different adjusters. The Machanic has sent over several emails letting them know the compressor is out. The Machanic is waiting for the ok to fix the compressor for 3 days. It’s 114 degrees in Arizona being with out AC with kids can lead to heat strokes. I’m very disappointed with the 5 star warranty that I spent over 4000.00 on. Very disappointed..

I wish I could give this company zero stars. I bought a 2010 Mercedes Benz, 86,100 miles, from *** in Bedford, OH (another terrible company) in November 2017. I also allowed myself to be persuaded into purchasing the 3-year extended warranty.
Since then I have had three major repairs done to the car. Each time the repair shop has contacted NVP to negotiate the warranty coverage. Then, the repair shops have called me to say "unfortunately your warranty doesn't cover the repair". I only wish that I had checked the background of NVP before buying the contract. Don't waste your money, put it in the bank and save it towards your auto repair budget.

I have a used car lot and sell warranty with my vehicles. I signed up with nvp warranty couple month ago . I sold a vehicle with one year warranty included and the customer took it tp his mechanic and got the car checked before he purchased it and got a written paper about that . and I have receid that the car was checked at different mechanic with every thing checked ok .and it said that all the fluids where checked and car was driven and everything operate good . so the customer bought the vehicle as his mechanic told him it is in a very good shape and after 2 weeks the transmission went bad after he put over 1000 miles on the car .we took it to cottman transmission in emause pa to fix . but nvp warranty denied the claim saying that it pre exiting condition . sent them the receids and it ciearly said that all the fluids where checked and the car was driven and it runs good but they still denied the claim saying that the fluids wherent checked . even the customer driven the car over 1000 miles they wouldn't cover it .

Mr., I have reviewed the notes from the claim and I must stand by the what the claims adjuster and claims manager found. The claim was filed the day after the failure. The system logged that the claim was filled 12 days after the vehicle was purchased. The type of failure that was found is a type of failure that is long term. This means that, by intent or not, the vehicle was sold this way. This means that the contract is not able to cover this claim because the failure started before the contract was purchased. If you have any questions regarding this please contact our Claims Manager at *** and ask for ***.

I have had the absolute WORST experience with this "extended warranty" company. I bought a used 08 Honda Accord with 165,000ish miles on it. It was sold with a warranty. I was given the brochure and it covers all these main components; the deductible is reasonable at only $100. It all sounded awesome, so we even extended it through a year or 18,000 miles. A couple weeks after we had the car, it started to leak power steering fluid and making this whining noise. After it got to the point that we had to put a pint of power steering fluid a week, we figured let’s use the warranty and get it checked out. I call the company and speak to this James guy, with a super heavy accent. He tells me that all I have to do is bring the car to any shop that pays sales tax. They can look at the car and call them with the information with what needs to be fixed. Then a claims adjuster will call for a mini interview. The whole process should take about 3 hours. Wow! Sounds easy enough. I called twice and was told the same thing twice. Okay so let’s get this rolling. We found a local shop and drop it off on a Monday afternoon. The shop calls them that day and started the claims process. The car needed a new power steering pump, boots, rack and pinion and gear box. This is a costly repair, adding up to close to $1900. After waiting for two days for an adjuster to call back and getting the run around, we find out that we have to wait for a “third party master” mechanic to do an assessment to see if this was a pre-existing condition. Because apparently if it is, they will not cover the repair. This could take another 24-48 hours. The only kudos that I have for this company is for John! He was patient and took my phone call when I was at my wits end trying to get some answers. He was not even the person that I spoke to but he took a lot of time to help me. We placed multiple phone calls and never got ONE call returned. The master mechanic shows up on Friday afternoon. We were told that once the master mechanic sends his stuff in, that it is only a couple hours from there to find out if the claim was approved. We called and called, they kept saying they are working on the claim, finally we get told the adjusters are all gone for the weekend! How lovely!! So now we had to wait until Monday. FINALLY Monday afternoon, we are told that they are going to deny the claim due to a pre-existing condition. According to this “third party master mechanic”, there was oil build up and dirt!! HELLOOO!! We live in AZ, yes there is going to be build up! We are driving on dirt when we drive! We tried to get our money back, and guess what, they denied that too! So I am paying all this money for an extended warranty that will not pay for anything! They are liars, they do not call back, they will deny your claim! Stay away. Do not even bother.

I pulled all claims filed by Daniel Auto Repair. They havefiled a total of 7. 6 of the 7 were funded and paid. This last claim the repairshop failed to comply with NVP requirement of showing the claim’s adjuster whatfailed in the rear differential. In fact the repair shop, knew the claim’sadjuster would need to send an inspector to see the failure. The repair shop saidthey found what failed did take apart the rear differential to show the pointof failure. The inspector could only identify that the vehicle was listed as "for sale sign" on the back window, it did not have any type of rear plate, and had a dealer tag saying ADX on the front of the vehicle.
With any claim reported to us, we have to be able to see what failed or broke in order to fund the repair. This claim did not moveforward for funding because the repair shop was not able to identify whatfailed. The claim’s manager called the repair shop to go over the next stepsand the shop did not want to do the work. The claim’s manager told the shopthat if they wanted to find what failed then we can reopen the claim.

They wanted me to drive an unsafe vehicle just to wait three weeks for their adjustor to say they won't cover hardly any repairs.

Dealership was contacted three times within sixty (60) days to cancel agreement. Full amount was not refunded.

NVP Warranty Response • Jan 30, 2019

All funds were returned to the selling dealer, minus the cancellation fee and the amount of the contract used. The first time we were contacted was on 12/26/2018. We received the cancellation form from the selling dealer on 1/2/2019 and mailed the funds on 1/4/2019. I am not sure what Mr. is hoping to accomplish. If he would like to speak with the office manager he can call

In your complaint I see references to the selling dealership and a mechanic. I have no record of *** directing you to a mechanic. It is *** policy not to direct a contract holder to a repair shop. It is your vehicle and ultimately your responsibility to care for that vehicle as you see fit. *** can only authorize funding for a repair. I feel the issues with the selling dealership and the mechanic need to be taken up with them and not ***.

As for the issue with the cancellation, my team answered several phone calls, administration staff handled and tracked your paperwork and accounting handled the funds. The cancellation charge is what paid for those services. The cancellation charge does need to stand. I am sorry but I simply cannot authorize that.

*** provided the CANCELLATION REQUEST FORM after my third telephone call to ***. Two of my telephone calls that I made to *** that I made during the morning (CST) were never returned. The selling dealer did not provide me with the CANCELLATION REQUEST FORM until January 2, 2019, the day I faxed the notarized ODOMETER DISCLOSURE STATEMENT to ***
I would have cancelled the warranty on October 25, 2018 (within ten days) if I had known that selling dealer’s mechanic would never install ALL the missing interior light bulbs. The selling dealer indicated that their mechanic would be in contact with me. The mechanic never contacted me.
I made no claims and therefore I should receive a full refund.

I brought my vehicle in for repair and my mechanic informed me the problem was the transfer case. I reviewed my contract with NVP Warranty company and it clearly states (Four Wheel Drive (4x4) & All Wheel Drive: All internally lubricated parts; transfer case; bearings; bushings; chains; gears; sleeves; sprockets. I had my mechanic put in the claim. The claims department was very rude and kept giving me the run around and was very unprofessional. They denied the claim after I waited 3 weeks and paying a rental car during this whole time, which is also covered by my 4STAR NVP Warranty contract I needed my vehicle and had to pay for the repair out of pocket. I want this resolved immediately with NVP Warranty reimbursing me my out of pocket cost to repair my vehicle and reimbursement of the rental car.

NVP staff has reached out multiple times to Mr. and he has not returned our calls in order to attempt to resolve this issue. Mr. stated that he has retained an attorney. He requested in an email that we contact her. I am sorry but if Mr. wants us to communicate with the attorney and not him then that is the route we will have to take.
