We were hit by a driver carrying Ocean Harbor on July 4, and received minor damage to our rear bumperWe filed a claim with Ocean Harbor - it took different phone numbers and a 47-minute wait on hold (yes, I timed it)Our claim was eventually approved, and we brought the car into the shop on 9/2/ On the shop found additional damage when they removed the bumper, and on 9/8/17, per Ocean Harbor's requirements, the shop emailed, called, and faxed for get approval for the cost of the additional repairs On 9/12/17, after Hurricane Irma, I followed up with Ocean Harbor and was told that an appraiser was scheduled to examine the additional damage(They also claimed they hadn't been able to reach the shop because it was closed and the phones were down, which was blatantly untrue and a pretty obvious stalling tactic.) On 9/23/the shop informed us that the appraiser had not yet been out to see the damage, making it weeks since our car went into the shop and weeks since the shop request approval of the minor additional repairs from Ocean Harbor On 9/26/I called and emailed Ocean Harbor threatening to file a complaint with insurance regulators if they did not either approve the additional damage or authorize the cost of a rental carThat got them to call me back, and I was told that there was nothing they could do to speed up the appraisal processI was also told that we were eligible for reimbursement for a rental car, and that the information about the reimbursement was included in our original paperwork On 9/27/I forwarded the original paperwork back to Ocean Harbor, pointing out that it does not mention anything about rental cars or reimbursementI asked them for written confirmation of the rental reimbursement before I incurred those costs I've heard nothing back from them since, despite leaving several voicemails (no one ever picks up the phone) and sending multiple emails Ocean Harbor has now been dragging its feet for THREE WEEKS on approving minor repairs to our car, and is either lying about reimbursement for rental expenses or purposely delaying confirmation so the rental costs will be lower(Especially considering that we rightfully should have had a rental for the past month.) If you have any choice at all in the matter, I'd advise you to choose literally any other insurance company in the country over Ocean Harbor

After involved in a car accident, the at fault party produced an insurance card for coverage under Ocean Harbor Casualty Insurance Company In my effort to have my car repaired, I attempted to contact this company of responsibility http://www.oceanharbor-ins.com/claims/ Using the telephone number listed on their website for automobile claims ###-###-####: My first attempt resulted in a minute hold period with no answer My second attempt resulted in a second unanswered call after another minute wait Further research for a contact number revealed ###-###-#### which offered a 3rd opportunity to wait on hold for more minutes I queried the company reviews and learned the likelihood of success in reaching them was very small Florida Office of Insurance Regulation is next

Getting my car insured with this company was the worst decision I've ever made in my life! The worst experience ever!!! If someone will ask me if I can recommend it I will say "run away from this Insurence company as fast as you can"!!! First of all they rushed me to buy the policy, so they tricked me and sold me not what I neededSecond they NEVER answer the phone, you can talk to their answering machines and voice mail boxes for weeksthan when they finally answer they are rude, confusing, and telling you they will call you back or even just hang up on you! When I got my first accident they called me back in TWO WEEKS!!! By the time they called me I had my second Excident and after this one they just told me they not going to fix my car or pay me anything, Even I got full coverage! when I called them and talked to supervisors every one of them told me different stuff, one of them told me I don't have full coverage so I told him you sold me the wrong thing or you just lying to me, he transferred me to the other supervisor and she told me yes you have full coverageI was super confused and couldn't understand what is going onSo anyway they refused to fix my car, because when second accident happened I wasn't the driver, BUT! on the government website of the state of California you can clearly see (black on white, like people say in my home country): "For those friends or family members who don’t live with you but use your car every once in a while – you can typically loan them your vehicle and not worry that they’ll be coveredPermissive use generally applies in these cases Permissive use means that if you give another driver permission to take your car, they will be covered by your car’s insurance coverage." And I didn't have this person excluded from my policy Now I'm speechlessby the law of the state of California my insurance supposed to cover me but they just have their own rules and do what ever they want to doI feel they just rubbing people! They are scammers! And this business need to be sued and closed !!! I am here to tell you the OCEAN HARBOR CASUALTY INSURANCE COMPANY never answers the phone I have been calling them to find the progress on a claim for a week and finally after calling every day they were open I get in touch with someone Meanwhile my car is not drivable and got towed by another company I had to push it into a parking lot The towing company is charging dollars for a tow and dollars a day storage They promised to pick my car up on Thursday February 16th and that was the day after the accident (WedFeb 15thbecause you can only report a claim from 8pm to 4pm I was on hold for minutes before someone answered on Thursday and she only got done with half my information before she said she had to call me backShe also promised to have someone come and get my car on by the end of the day on Thursday I find out my car was never picked up by them at allThe next day (Friday February 17th I called several times never talking to ANYONEWhen I call I am immediately put on hold for at LEAST min Sometimes an hour and a half before I give up ! time I pushed a button and it gave me a recording that I could leave a message So I leave a message and get no call back Around 4PM I get a call, with no prior call that said they were picking up the car, saying "This is Ocean Harbor Insurance and your car is not where you said it would be" I said That is because you were supposed to be there yesterday and it was towed by another company So my car has been in impound from FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17TH until today WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY because they were closed SATRUDAY SUNDAY AND MONDAY dollars a day in impound and for towing They are saying they will not pay for that I have to use the dollar towing allowance that is included in my insurance It was their fault my car was towed because they told me they would pick it up on Thursday and they did not Now I have to pay for any additional towing This could have been avoided if they would have picked up my car when they said NEVER USE THIS COMPANY They dont answer the phoneand they try to find every way possible for YOU to pay the expenses I also asked for a supervisor and the girl said im transfering you to a supervisor now This "supervisor" said she could do nothing about my car being towed even though it was their fault I said YOU ARE A SUPERVISOR AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO She promptly said she was NOT a supervisor So I was lied to I asked for a supervisor again, and when I told her I thought it was their responsibility to pay for the tow because they were late picking up my cari heard a clicklike she hung up I end up getting transferred to a voicemail from a guy named [redacted] no title whatsoever so I didnt know whether he was a customer service repa manager or supervisor NOTHING I left a message for him to return my car and he has not returned it

I recently was involved in a hit and run called the day after it happen the message stated they were busy but to leave a message and someone would call back in hours dats later I call bqck and get thru to regina which completes my claim she stated someone will follow up in hours they seem to like that timeframe but never follows thru so days later I get a call from april she stated some would come out to appraise the damages I got a call on monday days after she someone would call me they call on monday at 8:in the evening to say they would be out on wednesday at 1:pm still waiting a hour and mins later called twice this insurance company seems to have some shady business going on and need to be audited

Ocean Harbor Casualty Insurance Company is a SCAMMy husband was with them for almost years when he added me to his policy they tried to hit him with a charge $over what our payment was supposed to beThey claimed it was for adding a new driver and a new car, this was never mentioned to us at the time of us signing the policyThe man who wrote our policy told my husband that he didn't write it when he was the exact person we sat across from when we got everything set upThey entered my driver's license information in wrong and said that my information was invalidInstead of calling or emailing us they claim they mailed us a letter that we never received, however they insured me anyway with no drivers license info! They just decided to raise the premium without notice and although I have nothing wrong with my driver's license or my driving record they did not know that because of the mistake they made entering my DL # they STILL insured me! That's NUT'SHow many other unlicensed drivers are these people insuring? Accident occurred on 5/4/Its currently the 13th of JuneOver months later Both MrDenmark and the lien holders have been calling every day leaving voicemails for the adjustor Damien *** and he will not return the call to resolve this claimWhen you speak to other agents they will not assistThey've stated that we must only speak with the adjustorIts almost as it they're avoiding their responsibility to pay on this claim

I was hit by someone with this insurance on 1/1/in South Florida - totaled my car (which forced me to buy a new car) & I have spent the last months in and out of doctor's offices due to injury - and my lawyer has still not been able to get in touch with this insurance company

Their insured hit me You can not file a claim online and nobody answers the phone After a week of phone calls and messages left with the supervision, I finally spoke to an adjuster I got an estimate from a nation-wide body shop, and the insurance agency came in with a low ball offer that only included an out-of-state OEM part, no painting, and no refinishing They insisted that I have the body shop submit a supplemental claim The body shop completed the work in days and it has been a week and the insurance company still hasn't authorized payment to the body shop They don't have a relationship with a rental car company and I have been forced to pay for a rental car out of pocket I (and the body shop) have left numerous messages for the adjuster which continue to go unanswered This company is complete crap when it comes to any customer service!

I bought my car through a dealership in January and they referred me to Ocean Harbor, said they were the bestI willfully agreed on a six month policy, and once I received my paperwork I made a phone call to set up auto payThe first month of auto pay withdrew from my account four days after the due dateI called to check on day for after our was due and at first they told me I never set up auto pay so I made an immediate payment via debit and then I checked the bank account I KNEW I set up auto pay with and they took money out that morning as well! So I had to call again to get the over the phone payment I made cancelled, and that agent agreed with me I was set up all along for auto payYet I continuously received for the next four consecutive months an "over due with threat to cancel", a "your policy was cancelled", then a "your policy was reinstated" letter a week apart from each otherFor FOUR months my auto pay was through their company/websiteI tried to cancel auto pay so I can just schedule payments, and you have to call in and send a letter to cancelThe wait times are horribleI cannot complete a phone call within my hour lunch breaks at workI called on month four to see what I needed to do to cancel because I got new insurance with more to offer, and she said I can either mail a letter with certain info, or drive to my nearest service providerTwo and a half hours away (Largo to Orlando) We said I would write a letter, my husband typed up the criteria they asked for, and we sent it inTwo weeks later we call them and ask to check up on the statusThey say that the information I was given was wrong, and told me I should of called "Pearl Holding Group" directly(They like to transfer back and forth to each other allot)A women from Pearl Holding said she would check the mail for my letter, came back and said it was not receivedShe offered to send an email with information, and all I had to do was get my husband to sign it since he was primary and send they letter back in along with proof of other insurance and that they would refund me back what I over paid (minus 10% of what was left of my policy plus a $fre if I remember correctly; it came out to be around $in fees since I had only months leftI am still waiting on word back the policy was cancelledIt's been a weekI talked to Ocean Harbor three days ago and they have not heard from Pearl HoldingsIt's like the refuse to talk to each other to resolve their conflictsI need my refund, I need my peace of mindHeaven forbid I get into an accident and I'm double covered, I don't know what I will do
I got new insurance on 3-15-18, I sent a cancellation letter on 3-17-18, I called Ocean Harbor on 4-4-when my auto pay I requested to get cancelled was taken out, and as of 4-15-I am still waiting to get cancelled and sent my refund for over payment
