Hi [redacted] and [redacted],  Your warranty representative has changed.  If you do not get a response you can always directly contact [redacted] or you can contact the main office.  [redacted] can directly connect you with the warranty supervisor.  We did connect with the warranty...

supervisor who was overseeing your project, and he said that he received a phone call from you a couple weeks ago, and then he could not reach you again.  He tried connecting with you several times a couple months ago, but [redacted] was too sick to have work completed at the home.  He had not heard back from you for a couple months, so he stopped trying to attempt to contact you.  We apologize for any inconveniences that you have encountered.  We do have our notes from previous work that was completed on the home.  We will have your new warranty representative contact you to bring your warranty work to a resolve.  Is this solution acceptable to you?Thank you.

I have recently built a home with Oevering. This home is a higher level of trim and upgrades than typically found on Oevering's main builds. It is not by any means a standard layout, as we moved entire exterior and interior walls around and changed trim dramatically. This was a challenging project.
As a 40+ year manager of large refining and chemical capital projects , I understand exactly what goes into a successful project. The folks at Oevering have exceeded my expectations time and time again.
Were there minor problems ? Sure. Any project has them. The definition of a good project though is how those problems are handled and to what degree the teams work TOGETHER to affect a workable solution. Each and every issue that popped up, the Oevering team handled with minimal effort on my behalf. Make no mistake ...I was not an easy customer.
I demand accuracy and forthright dealings on every project I do. The project is on-time, to specification, and we look towards a closing in about 2 weeks.
I would not hesitate to build with these folks again.

As we dealt with [redacted] we feel that his behavior had crossed the line numerous times. Including several times during escalated phone calls to my wife included. [redacted] would not even take calls from him due to his belligerence. We had an extended winter in Wisconsin that turned into a very wet and unproductive spring and no summer. Most to all his escorwed work was exterior. Which to this day we have not been paid for. We dealt with [redacted] in the manner we felt was appropriate. He was pushed to the back of the line due to his behavior. I as [redacted] will not tolerate the behavior we encountered dealing with [redacted]. We had our warranty manager out to his house last week to button up everything. The report was all that was not fixed to this point was the sump basket cover. I am not sorry it took so long in this case. I will wait for the final escrowed payment. If not received by end of August all liens will be filed against property which take precedence to all first mortgages filed by [redacted] in the state of Wisconsin. Please do not have customer contact us.

Oevering Homes lacks, greatly, in customer service. When my husband and I bought a homes from [redacted], we were given a one year "bumper to bumper" (as [redacted] puts it) on our home. We complained several times to this company about cracks in the ceiling/walls and cupboards. When we did get ahold of someone, we were told that they won't fix anything until closer to the end of the one year warranty. After a lot of back and forth, they finally sent someone out to look at our cracks in the walls/ceiling and cupboard. Their sub-contractors were pretty worthless too. I will NEVER do business with this builder again and I will tell my friends/family to steer clear of this builder as his quality and customer service are extremely poor. If I had the resources, I would sell the house in a heart beat just so I don't have to deal with this company ever again.

Review: My wife and I purchased our home on March 20th, 2013 from Oevering Homes. In our purchase contact, Oevering Homes was to seed our yard. It is now 08/04/13 and our yard is still not seeded. The first time we contacted Oevering Homes about this issue was approximately a month from the date we purchased the home. We stopped buy Oevering Home’s facility and asked to talk to someone about our yard. We were informed that we would talk with [redacted] because he was in charge of that. [redacted] advised us that they were a little behind due to it snowing as late as it did. He also advised that they were finalizing the contract with their new contractor that was hired to complete the yards. [redacted] advised us that our yard would be seeded within 1 ½ to 2 weeks. We were very understanding about this, because we did receive a couple of unusually late snow falls. About 3 weeks later my wife had called Oevering Home’s and left a message with [redacted] asking for a date of when our yard was going to be seeded. There was never a return call. Approximately a week later, my wife again called Oevering Homes and spoke with a someone in the office who advised that they did hire a new contractor to seed the yards and it shouldn’t be much longer before ours was seeded. This person also advised that they would have the person handling this get in touch with us which never happened. Two weeks later my wife again called [redacted] to ask for a date when our yard was going to be seeded, because we had scheduled dates for landscaping to be delivery and were planning on putting up a deck. [redacted] advised my wife that she would call back with a date; she never called back. A week later my wife again called Oevering Homes and the person who answered the phone advised her that we were moved to the top of the list and it should be done within 2 weeks. Two weeks later Oevering home was contacted again asking why our yard was not seeded; [redacted] Oevering advised that their tiller had broke, they had bought a new one and we were 6th on the list. [redacted] also advised that it should be done after the other people yards that week and ours will be started early the following week; they will grade, till and rake our yard before it is seeded. We also asked if we could take the escrow money and just do it ourselves since we were tired of waiting and getting the run-around; we were told no. No one came out to finish our yard that following week. Oevering homes were again contacted asking about our yard; [redacted] answered the phone and stated that something broke, but they would be out soon. Later that week a contactor did come out and graded and tilled our yard. It should also be noted that during the tilling and tiller attachment was never fully down and the tractor was in a very high gear during the tilling process. During the tilling, our front rock pillar was hit on the bottom, chip the rock and left green paint along with what I think is a ground from either our air conditioner or electric meter was run over by the tiller. I did not notice the damaged ground wire until 07/31/13 because we never go back there since we have a dirt yard and there is no reason to go back there. Two weeks later Oevering homes has still not come back to rake or seed our yard or repair. On 07/31/13 we did contact Oevering Homes and advised them that if they had had finished our yard by 08/04/13 that we were going to contact the Revdex.com. Our yard is again hard as concrete due to the light rain we have had; it being this hard will prevent the seed to incorporated into soil, meaning the majority of the seed will not germinate. The stepped (tilling, raking, and then seeded) that Oevering Homes said that are going to do need to be done within a relatively short time frame not weeks apart or the soil will get hard over time due to getting wet and drying over and over. I do have vast experience in this field; I have worked at an established golf course for 8 yards, 2.5 years experience in building a golf course, 4.5 years installing and inspecting erosion and sediment control. I also have a degree in golf course grounds management so I know soil and seeding. Oevering homes has had more than enough time to complete this task, it is going on five month since we purchased our home from them. We have spent our entire summer without grass and had to delay our outside projects numerous times since they repeatedly lied to us on when they were coming out.Desired Settlement: We want the yard re-tilled since they waited to long and then rock raked and seeded. We also want the damage caused when they tilled to be fixed.

Hello,

In response to this complaint, we apologize that we have had some problems with our equipment this year. We have hired [redacted] to complete the landscaping as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Response:

Oevering Homes will take full responsibility on the yard. Our equipment is still down and because of that we have not been able to finish 3 yards. To make this right for the client I have contracted with [redacted] Landscaping and I am going to sod the entire yard for no cost. I truly apologize for this. I have contracted with [redacted] to install the 2 missing trees which he went out and staked in the yard yesterday. Once the trees are in [redacted] will sod. [redacted]'s number is ###-###-#### if home owner will like to verify that I have contracted everything for them. I cannot apologize enough for the problems the home owner has incurred.

Response:

Oevering Homes has contacted us regarding the complaint below. They have went above and beyond in finally finishing our yard. They upgraded everything at no charge, gave us beautiful sod and planted 2 large trees in the front of our new home. They still haven't came back to fix the ground wire that their tiller sliced by our air conditioning unit, but I am happy with what they have done and will contact them in the fall for them to come repair it if they don't prior.

Review: I entered into a purchase agreement with Oevering homes in August of 2013 to build a home. The home was to be completed on or before April 4th 2014. We moved into the home on May 11th 2014 five weeks late. The builder wrote the purchase agreement in August 2013 before owning the property to build on. Once we were in the home our bank turned down the closing of the loan. This was a loan that was fully underwritten approved in advance. The resin was due to the purchase agreement was written before Oevering homes (the seller) owned the property and the chain of title was incorrect. Basically you cannot sell something you do not own. We had to re-write the purchase agreement and re-submit the loan for approval so that the new purchase agreement was after Oevering homes owned the property. During this time my garage floor began to crack all over the floor. Oranzo Oevering (owner of the business) came out to inspect the floor and agreed that it was cracking due to frost heaving and poor workmanship. He also agreed to tear out the garage floor and replace it at his expense in accordance with the one year warranty Oevering homes offers in writing. The re-underwriting of the loan took 97 days and we closed on the home. Oevering home was paid in full for the home per the purchase agreement. Oranzo Oevering is now not warranting my home or the floor because he says I owe him rent for the time I was in the home. There was no agreement to pay rent in writing, or verbally, during or after the process.Desired Settlement: All I want is for Oevering to replace my garage floor per his warranty and word. Considering what my family and I have been through following through on simply what he said he would do seems reasonable to me. I have tried to talk and email with the company and they have denied my request and will not warranty my home any longer according to Oranzo Oevering until he is paid rent.

Response:

We at Oevering Homes LLC will not allow a customer to live in a house 4.5 for free when the owner switched lenders from the original pre approval letter which caused the loan to fall through. It is common practice to purchase land after purchase agreements are written. I can prove to the Revdex.com that over the past 2 years I have closed well over 30 homes that way. Mr [redacted] runs from responsibility and we stand firm until we are paid rent nothing will be done on our part.

Any more questions please have Revdex.com contact me on my cell ###-###-####

Response:

Please accept this letter as the response of Oevering Homes, LLC to the most recentcorrespondence submitted by Mr. [redacted]. Unless specifically directed by your officeto submit additional correspondence or communication regarding this matter, the undersignedintends for this letter to be the final submission by Oevering Homes, LLC.In an effort to avoid redundancy, this response is intended to address the most recent issuesraised by Mr. [redacted], and will not summarize all prior correspondence submitted by the parties.1. The Warranty Addendum previously submitted by the undersigned contains specificlanguage that "Builder agrees to provide to Buyer upon completion of construction andpayment in full of all amounts due to Builder, a home warranty in compliance with thestate of Wisconsin warranty requirements."2. Mr. [redacted] has refused to pay to Oevering Homes, LLC all amounts due and owing. Mr.[redacted] occupied the residence in question for 4 months prior to closing. OeveringHomes, LLC and Mr. [redacted] agreed that fair market rent would be paid for this earlyoccupancy period. Mr. [redacted], after closing, has now taken the position that rent is notowed, despite having entered into a previous agreement whereby he agreed that rentwould be paid.3. Contrary to what Mr. [redacted] alleges, the delays associated with closing were not the resultof any action or inaction on the part of Oevering Homes, LLC. Rather, upon informationand belief~ Mr. [redacted] had difficulty obtaining financing for the property, and as a sign ofgood faith, Oevering Homes, LLC allowed early occupancy, which is contrary to itsgeneral policy regarding this very issue.4. Mr. [redacted] has demonstrated his clear disregard for the verbal agreement entered into byand between the parties by failing to pay all amounts due to Oevering Homes, LLC. As aresult, and due to Mr. [redacted]'s conduct, his warranty is void pursuant to the terms andconditions of the written agreement on file with the Revdex.com.5. As indicated in prior communication to Mr. [redacted], Oevering Homes, LLC remains ready, willing and able to stand behind the warranty provided that Mr. [redacted] abides by thecontract entered into by the parties, and pays Oevering Homes the sum of $5,950.00which is due for rent.6. In the event Mr. [redacted] fails to submit the amount due and owing, and in the event Mr.[redacted] attempts to move his [redacted] forward, he should be mindful of the fact that there is awritten agreement that forces the parties to engage in Arbitration. If that occurs, OeveringHonles, LLC will be subpoenaing any and all credit information and the loan files fromthe two institutions that apparently turned Mr. [redacted] down for financing, and caused thesedelays. The undersigned can only surmise that this information will shed more light as towhy there was a delay in closing, and once and for all clearly prove that the delay was onthe part of Mr. [redacted], not Oevering Homes, LLC.Once again, Oevering Homes, LLC intends this to be its final response to the complaint filed byMr. [redacted] with the Revdex.com. If the Revdex.com does require additional information, please do not hesitate tocontact our office. I thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
