Bought a package of 4 ***. First time a year ago the tech did a great job. The second done March 2019 did a terrible job. From time in went in the room and out was 20 mins. 10 of that was asking me about meds. I took. I paid over $*** for RX numbing cream and used 2 times instead of once thirty minutes prior to appointment. Told the technician I was number. She responds, "you'll be fine. I don't even use when I get ***". Why the hell did I have to purchased then? They insisted prior to *** that I must get or they wouldn't do it. Well she did parts of my face. I have a totally of 1/3 of the face not hit with the laser. I have spots all over my face where she missed. It was so lightly done that where she did hit me with the laser it lightly peeled on my mouth area only. I have more brown spots now than I did before treatment. I had to ask for eye protection and a hairband to keep my long hair out of the way. I told her the last time I had procedure at Sona that it was entirely different.process. That I had my entire face done where I had dots on my entire face and neck. I could see before she put heavy white cream on my face areas missed. She said it was fine. Please do your research. Go to a plastic surgeon or a Dermatologist. Laser at a doctors office is cheaper and better lasers and being a certified medical facility they can use laser on the eyes, eyebrows, ears, and do the entire face. Sona is not certified to use any laser like a doctor's office. I now have gone to my dermatologist and she said I'd need a *** done NOW to remove all the brown they caused. Worst customer service I've ever received and I've spent over $*** on other procedures at Sona.

We were not aware of any issues with this patient and have attempted to contact her repeatedly over the last 10 days without having any of our calls or emails responded to. As to her statements, our medical staff is certainly certified to use our state of the art lasers and other aesthetic technology and have as much, if not more, experience than any other provider of these services in the area. We ask the Revdex.com to encourage this patient to contact us so that we may learn more about these issues and to determine how we can address these for her.

I purchased a package for hair removal for a total of 7 treatments for an agreed upon price. I called to make an appointment today to use the remaining 2 treatments and was told very nonchalantly by the office manager that I had 6 months to use the last 2 bonus treatments from 2016. She then stated it would be a stretch to honor those bonus treatments since my last visit was in 2016. I did explain to the office manager that I was not aware that there was a time limit to use what was already paid for upfront. She then responds with no empathy that it's in the paperwork and it would be a bit much to let customer's know that they only have 6 months from the time they purchase. After dismissing my concerns she asked me about scheduling an appointment. I advised her that I would not be making an appointment but filing a complaint. She then blamed corporate for the reason nothing can be done. I'm totally offended by that response based on the fact I used to travel to *** before the service was even offered in Glen Allen. I have also referred a numerous amount of customers to the business.

I have had a good experience with this location but my most recent experience has left such a sour taste in my mouth. I came to sona in 2011 and was treated with the *** laser. I suffer from an *** issue and had to come back for treatment in 2016 due to the return of hair on my face. This time they let me know they have a *** laser and not the *** laser. I was hesitant to spend over $*** for something I had no prior experience with and hadn't heard about, but they had delivered in the past so I went for it.
A few treatments latter I noticed the hair was not slowing growth and the treatments appeared to not be working. I let someone know and they very no nonchalantly dismissed my claims. The *** laser is the industry standard for dark skinned people so I'm not sure why they stopped carrying it. Overall I will never give sona any more of my hard earned money when they don't stand by their product. There are plenty of hair removal companies out there that will try to correct the problem instead of trying to hide it. If you are a woman of color looking for treatment I would recommend finding a location that has a *** laser, and staying far away from sona.
