One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning Reviews (%countItem)

I have used this company for the past 20 years and have been very pleased with them and would recommend them to others.

I am alerting future customers of SA&MS to two problems I had with their services. The first was a classic bait and switch scam that I fell prey to. Through their association with Home Depot, I negotiated the install of two new HVAC units at my office. The contract includes a three year warranty. In their signed contract there is no mention of the REQUIREMENT of a maintenance agreement. As the units were brand new. The install was done and they were paid. The first problem arose several months later; a letter I received from SA&MS.
The letter from SA&MS was informing me that to receive the 3 year warranty (as per their contract) I was now required to have a 3 year maintenance contract. Without the 3 year maintenance contract (~$700.00) the 3 year warranty is null and void. All claims will be denied.
The second problem was also discovered several months after the units were installed.. While doing repairs under my building, it was discovered that the main air vent return duct was not attached to the outside fan unit. This trunk did not vibrate loose..there is a 4 inch gap where the installers forgot (?) to make the connection. I requested a service call and offered to send photos. I assumed I would at least get a service call to verify the shoddy installation. But after calling again and requesting a service call, no one ever called or come by.
I really wish I had inspected the installation of the units before I paid these people. One star is too high a rating for them.

I hate to hear after nearly 3 years from installation we deserve a 1 star. Lets clarify a few items. 1. There is no bait and switch. this job was done for Ms. of . You were provided with a 3 year labor warranty on your equipment from the roofing retailer. You received a copy of the certificate of coverage at Ms. home residence within 30 days of the installation. If you read the certificate it states that annual maintenance must be performed by your dealer or any authorized service technician. Failure to do so "can" result in denial of claim service. I can provide a copy of this certificate sent to you if you need. I wish I could attach here but it will not let me. The letter we sent out was a reminder of this fact. We like to make sure all of our customers are taking good care of their equipment so they will have many years of trouble free operation. Do you change the oil in your car? no different here. Maintenance has to be performed on everything that runs in these conditions or it simply will not hold up.
Lets talk about the installation now. When the installation of the 2 units began it was noticed that the building crawl space was rodent infested. After discussing we would have to make some major duct repairs and there would be additional cost. The owners believed it was our fault this was the case so, out of good faith as I always do, we replaced all the rodent infested duct at no charge. To my knowledge these systems have been running flawlessly for over 2 years, not months, (August of 2017) without doing any maintenance and not 1 service call issue. If you in fact had pictures and request a service call I will send someone to inspect the duct as needed. If normal maintenance had been performed, a loose duct on the unit would have been discovered on the first visit as the indoor coil would be filthy. I personally doubt very seriously that we forgot to connect the duct and left a 4" gap. Given the rodent infested conditions of the crawl space it would be much more likely this was torn loose or ate through as previous ducts had been. Nevertheless, I will gladly take care of that connection if you call the office and schedule a service call. 423-499-4022.
I did some digging and found out you called in to tell my office that something was messed up and what were we going to do about it. Again this was 2 years after the initial installation, no request, just demand and hang up. Your equipment still has a 10 yr parts and a 3yr labor warranty. Duct work comes with a lifetime warranty if provided and installed by us. Duct work installed by others when the building was constructed cannot be warrantied by us.
Funny thing, just a year later you had us out to your home to install a new system and we have had no complaints or service calls there either. My people do a great job and we stand behind our work.
In summation. I want nothing more than you to be happy and would be glad to take care of your issues. But, you have got to have maintenance done on all of your equipment. The business and home at least once per year. I'm also very displeased at being a business owner as well you could not find a better solution than to put a bad review on Revdex.com knowing what it means. Maybe you deal with these all the time but, we typically do not. We have great customers and great reviews across the board. We will always do our best to keep our A+ rating.
Thank You!

This company said I needed new dampers and a static pressure gauge installed to fix my gas furnace. They installed the static pressure gauge but negligently failed to remove the plug from the end of the hose therefore rendering the gauge incapable of reading the pressure. It has damaged the life of my hvac unit considerably. The bad thing is the technician who discovered the problem said he was going to inform the boss of the negligence 8 months ago at install but never did!!! Perhaps because he was the installer? Regardless the owner who identified herself as *** was rude and very aggressive on the phone claiming no responsibility. Unbelievable!!!! Be wary of this company. When caught in a bad situation I wound have hoped they would take responsibility for their actions. Unfortunately this has not transpired.

Southeast Air Systems tried to overcharge us for a unit and when we decided not to buy their unit, their free quote became a $89.00 charge. They mislead us telling my wife to sign a form but that we wouldn't owe anything. Now while we were trying to resolve this through the Revdex.com, they started adding late charges and have threatened to place a mechanical lien on us all while were trying to resolve this issue. Anytime you call or try and discuss this with them they become vindictive and try to punish you with invoices and threats. We do not have a unit with them nor have they performed any services on our current units, but yet they keep harassing us with a $89 bill plus a new $20 late charge. Stay away from this company.
