A paint job was never done and when I asked Mr. V for my money back he refused. He said he didn't have it that it was tied up in 3 other jobs.

Back in December 2018 Mr.V*** took $2250.00 deposit to paint our Townhouse in January that is occupied by my tenant. There were constant scheduling issues. After months of not coming to an agreed time to paint I called Mr.V*** and said come to my home give me an estimate and paint my house instead. It took several phone calls to get him to answer me and he finally came and looked around the house said he would let me know what the estimate was. Days went by and I heard nothing,I kept calling him and didn't hear back. Finally, he called and said he was so busy but he didn't forget me. Still nothing. This went back and forth to the point of me feeling very uncomfortable. I finally told Mr. V to please just send my money back that I'm uncomfortable with the whole thing. He argued with me and said he didn't have the money that it was tied up in the 3 jobs he was currently doing.June 27th he said he would send me the money soon.July 22 I texted him and asked if he finished any job yet and he said no.At that point I told him he had 2 weeks (which I felt was a courtesy I didn't owe him)to send me my money That if I didn't have it by then I was calling *** where I had gotten his name and contacting the Revdex.com.So here we are and I have no money and he won't give it to me. All I want is my money back and not have to deal with him ever again. He was very unprofessonal

Desired Outcome

I just want my deposit back in full $2250.00

Yes I got a call from Bonnie in December to do a paint job at her condominium her renter request of the dates of January 3 through January 7 to paint the condominium so I cleared my schedule for those four days to paint the house to days before I was supposed to paint and materials the color was Chris SW6378 Sherwin-Williams color the renter calls me and tells me she can't do it that day so mind you my business is booked 2 to 3 months in advance so I lost four days of work could be one paint job $3500 so I lost four days of work I couldn't do anything because all my clients were already scheduled for previous or later dates none could move up so I lost money so the renter contacted me again to do it and she canceled again so that's two times I've lost money where I had that book for her so I contacted Bonnie to let her know what was going on not sure exactly the date but I think it was in about March or April she said she looked into it couple months later called me and said that she wanted me to come look at her house now mind you the contract is for the condominium so I went out and looked at her house and I was going to put a quote together she said she was leaving out of town her husband wasn't feeling well when she got back in town she contacted me I was supposed to go out there and I had a doctors appointment that ran late and didn't make it she told me I did not respond in an adequate time said she felt uneasy and wanted her full refund back this is an August 8 months after the initial Paint Job was supposed to take place but she said I didn't respond in a timely manner I lost eight days of work because of her renter so ***'s is sending us to a mediation because I feel I should've been paid for my time and split the deposit with her because her renter cost me money And for her to say I didn't reply back in a timely manner I dealt with this for eight months so I think I've went above and beyond my duty
as a business owner so I did not take her money or steal her money as she's trying to slander my business and say I did so we will see what happens with mediation and I will let y'all know if you look at my responses on *** out of 24 responses I have a 4.58 rating I treat my customers with upmost respect I give them the best quality jobs and I don't have complaints that's how we run our business at one shop painting the customer comes first

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I had contacted *** and they said they would be able to handle the problem with a mediator. They said it was the same as small claims court so I went with them and felt I shouldn't be all over the place with 2 different entities.
As far as Mr.s comments, he had never said anything about losing money until I asked for my money back. Since he had a problem not calling or texting me back I could only assume that he was terribly busy. Why didn't he have my deposit money? I was told that that is called Theft by Conversion. My review was to try and keep someone else from having to go through what he has put me through. He said he would send me the money and now he is reneging. Not a reputable business owner.

The paint job on the kitchen cabinets was terrible. They demanded full payment before doing all jobs listed on the contract.
I filled this out twice. Did you get any of this message that I sent?

Desired Outcome

They ruined our kitchen cabinets. The paint job was horrible. While they were still painting, the paint was coming off the cabinets. They had to come back twice to fix the terrible job. However, it couldn't be corrected. The paint continues to come off. There are still too many drips that couldn't be fixed. Yellow is coming through some of the cabinets. These cabinets must either be stripped and repainted or they need to be replaced. Friends and neighbors cannot believe how terrible the cabinets look. One commented that a five year old could do a better job. One Shot Painting needs to pay for replacing these cabinets. They also demanded payment before all of the jobs were done. They did not install the wall tile in the bathroom, which we paid them to do. They didn't build a platform for the vanity which we paid them for. They didn't finish installing the kitchen wall tile which we paid them. They took advantage of a 70 year old woman and 79 year old man. This is very, very wrong and needs to be corrected. If we have to, we will contact an attorney and One Shot Painting will pay for our attorneys fee and for the replacement of the cabinets and refund of work not completed.

I did some work for Georgiana we were there for a month she was supposed to have cabinets ordered she can never get them done she was supposed to have materials there a lot of what we couldn't finish was due to the cabinets I've tried to reach her several times with no response me and Home Advisor's tried to reach her with no response the kitchen cabinet she is talking about I told her before we even started the cabinets had holes in the bottom floors they were particleboard they had water damage I told her even if we painted them I didn't want to do it that they would not come out good and the paint wouldn't hold to them she said it didn't matter we went back three times to touch up the cabinets and she still didn't have her her vanities or anything in and I have not heard back from her

According to my telephone records, One Shot Painting did not try to contact me. Also, there are no phone records of Home Adviser trying to reach me. There are phone records of me calling One Shot Painting and leaving messages for them to finish the work that we had already paid them to do. I notified One Shot Painting that the bathroom vanity order was canceled because we ordered a different vanity that did not require the work that we had originally requested. We also paid for wall tiles to be installed in the bathroom. I left a message with One Shot Painting that we were ready for the tiles to be installed. They didn't install any bathroom wall tiles that they required payment for. They also did not finish installing the wall tiles in the kitchen.
It was unethical for One Shot Painting to request final payment for work they had not done. They took off after we paid them and didn't return to finish the work once they were paid.
They did not tell me that the paint wouldn't hold to the cabinets. That was a lie. If they had told me that, it would have been a lie anyway. According to the research, the first step is to clean the cabinets. When I told Jeff I would clean the cabinets before he painted them, he declined my offer saying it wasn't needed. Consequently, yellow is bleeding through the cabinets and paint is coming off the cabinets. I have proof that these cabinets would have not had drips, streaks, paint coming off or any other ugly results of improper painting. OUr neighbors painted their cabinets the right way and they have NONE of the hideous problems with the paint on their cabinets. Their cabinets are exactly like ours. When seeking advice regarding how to fix these cabinets, they have to be completely stripped and repainted or they have to be replaced.
They had to return three times for several reasons. One reason was the runs of the paint on the cabinets. Another is areas that WERE NOT painted at all. Even so, after returning three times, they still left part of the outside of a cabinet unpainted. There were three different colors of base boards in our kitchen. Again, several witnesses have evaluated the painting job on our cabinets. They expressed what a terrible job One Shot Painting did. They took advantage of two senior citizens by requesting full payment for unfinished work and for unsatisfactory work. Then, they lied about trying to contact me when they did not try to contact me. Phone records prove that neither they nor Home Adviser tried to contact me.
They twisted the truth saying holes in the bottom floors had water damage ...
That doesn't explain the terrible job they did on all the cabinets, not the cabinet floor under the kitchen sink. There is no excuse for the terrible job on the kitchen cabinets that cannot be fixed without stripping them or replacing them. There are laws against scamming/cheating senior citizens.
