We thought the best solution for this customer was to allow her to cancel until she could return. We apologize if this sounded like we did not want to give her a the best option. We guaranteed the same monthly dues and no additional initiation fee when she was ready to return. We will be happy to...

freeze this membership for the time she requested if the customer feels this would be a better option.I would ask her to contact me as the General Manager and I will be happy to get this done. Review: I am in a month-to-month contract at this gym (for myself and my son), but will be leaving the area on my husband's military orders in early July. I have paid through June 2014, and wish to cease my gym membership at the conclusion of that period. That is, I have pre-paid for all services used.

However, the gym states that I will be charged prospectively for a July membership--even though I have not been billed yet, nor have I used their services in July. The gym refuses to cancel my membership until I pay for an additional month of services I cannot use, pursuant to my military orders.Desired Settlement: Simple cancellation of membership through the previously paid term (on or about 30 June 2014).

Hello,

This letter is to confirm that [redacted] has been refunded for the dues that were paid and she felt was not appropriate after her cancellation.I spoke to her on the phone and she was very pleased and satisfied with our resolution.
