[redacted] Date : Sun May on 15th May called one hour for a second opinion and diagnostic for $on my AC unit, it was confirmed it was a leaking coil which would need replacing Technician at time could not do repair so would have to make another appointment with a technicialWas offered a Temporary coolMy home has AC units so home was not too hotAgreed to temporary cool but not told of what would be involvedWas told Freon needed to be added to system but when asked how much would be needed was told this couldn't be given until unit was filledAdditional repairs where carried out which I was only informed of after they had been done and then was issued a bill for $837, When I questioned this amount I was informed a discount of $had been applied but as of yet I am not sure what this refund was applied to as it is not on my invoice In hignsight I should have asked for a full clarificationAs I never recieved a follow up call regarding repair I c

Called them out to check my a/c system because it wouldn't cool below degreesThey did some work for me years earlier when I had a [redacted] policy and they seemed honest enoughMy appointment window was 4-PM and after the first tech assigned couldn't make it they sent a second tech who arrived around 9:He checked the system and said the freon was very low and I probably had a leakDid a leak check and said the leak was in the air handlerThe same issue I had just two years earlier but since that was a warranty replacement part there was no warranty on the current partI asked for a quote and he insisted on measuring the house to determine the correct size needed because I had a ton air handler (sold to me by another company) and a ton condenser, even though I told him the original equipment of both was tonAfter an hour of measuring the house he gave me two quotes one for $ [redacted] and a second for $ [redacted] WOW! I asked why so much for an air handler? And he said that's for a whole new systemI asked why do I need a whole new system if the leak is in the air handler? I was expecting a quote just to replace the air handlerThat's when he said the condenser is also leaking; a fact he didn't mention until after he gave me the quoteI told him I wasn't going to pay either of those amounts because they were ridiculous and I would have to think about my optionsHe asked for my phone number so he could follow up with me on my decision and I told him the company has my phone number and that I would call themThat felt like he was trying to do a side hustle and cut out the company he works forHe didn't even bother to email me an official quote or anything, he just leftThe only good thing about this experience was since they showed up over an hour late I didn't pay a dime for his little adventureThe next day I went on [redacted] and got three quotes for a complete system with the highest quote being $and the lowest quote, which I accepted, being $with [redacted] brand equipmentIt's hard to say if this is their company culture or just the people they employ, but either way consumers should be warned and the company should investigate

I want to say a big thank you to Derrick [redacted] and his crew at One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating. I am a grandmother that helps take care of 6 children. I take care of my husband that had a heart transplant, and I run our family business. Money is extremely tight! When my ac went out, I called for One Hour. The news was that I needed a new circuit board. I had no way to pay for it. But the great people at [redacted] One Hour found a way to get our air fixed, and at a price I could manage. When times are tough, it sure is nice to know that there are still people that want to help.

I strongly urge people NOT to use One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating!!! I called for a $"Tune Up" and the technician came out with the express purpose of selling me a new $10,AC/Heating unit (My old unit heats and cools just fine...and is cooling even better now after I paid another company to come out and clean my condenser and evaporator which One Hour refused to do.) To make matters even worse, the One Hour technician screwed up the Freon valve so Freon leaked out of my system and I had to spend a night without Freon ( & AC) until the other company came out to install a new Freon valve and recharge the FreonOne Hour Air Conditioning & Heating refused to pay the additional $I was out due to their negligence or willful destruction of my valve And their customer service rep is extremely rude and condescending [redacted]

My experience with One Hour Air Conditioning And Heating has been a year over $10,nightmareMy family and I had lived in our home about years when the AC went out and made the unfortunate call to One HourThe decision was made to purchase a new unit and it was installed in June of The next summer comes and the unit will not cool the home and it is degreesWhile several calls were made, and technicians came out (they were all professional and polite), the problem was not resolvedOn a ticket dated 8/9/it was recommended that a supervisor come out to address the situation on SUCH A NEW UNITMy calls were not returnedDuring the winter things were fineThis summer comes around and here we are battling degree temperatures in the house againThe house will not cool off until after midnightService calls are made, technicians come out, once again with promises to "make it right", and another mention that a supervisor needs to come out to address the problemI reach out again and get a hold of a supervisor after several attempts only to be told "it's not a superviso'rs concern, a senior tech needs to come out" (every tech has identified themselves as a senior tech by the way) "I should just replace the battery in the thermostat", "if it's the duct work it won't be our problem since we didn't work on that" (??)however at my insistence the supervisor and a senior tech show up and do spend a great deal of time checking the unit for which we were hopeful and thankfulDays later the same problem occurred, the temperature continued to rise so we called the senior tech back out not wanting to risk anyone else touching the unitWe were told that there must be something wrong with the unit itself (kind of like a lemon car) so there is no need to do anything else until they can address the unit, it may need to be changed out completelyThe tech said there is no explanation for the whole house to be this hot (did I mention my house is about sq ft?) anyway, we were once again assured that this company would fix it and our problem be would turned over to a management teamGREAT!!! The very next day at 8:am I was called and asked if a supervisor could come look at the unitSure! After work a supervisor comes (it hasn't been hrs since the tech came out but hey maybe it works...) From the start it is obvious he is here to say he "covered all the bases" for his company and starts talking about duct workNot only is it degrees in my home when he shows up but while we are talking in front of the thermostat it goes to 78! I mention that the tech THE DAY BEFORE told us there was something wrong with the unit, and asked why my house was able to stay cool for over years and can't stay cool since the new unitThis supervisor told me that when they "came on the scene that my old unit wasn't working", well obviously that's why you call an AC CompanyI asked him if he thought I let it "not work" for years and he said he could not answer that questionDuring this discussion and AC unit checking the technician from the night before shows upI put him on the spot and ask him about what he really thinks is wrong with the unit, he finally admitted that he thinks the unit does not work correctly in his professional opinion, and something is wrong with it because there is not other reason for the whole house not to be coolDing Ding Ding! The supervisor stated he disagreedI asked who would be the third party since I am the customer with the problem and don't believe him and I was flat out told "no one" I keep my thermostat set at degrees and my is notI mentioned yrs ago that my sons room seemed warmer than the rest of the house and this company has clung to that statement like it is their saving graceIn my years as the original owners of this home there have been no problems until the old system went outI even have a ticket that says "duct work looks good"I asked this supervisor why my living room was hot and he said it didn't feel "that bad"I saw what this "service call was early onThe audacity of this company is sickeningThey honestly believe they have done "everything" though what they came here with was an agendaI was offered duct work at a "discount"What?!??? We can't resolve one problem and now you want me to let you touch something else I don't even believe is wrong? Your tech, the only I trust should be the only one in your company that can sleep at nightAvoid this company like the plague

On 11/02/they were called out to fix the heatingOn that same day I signed up for the *** *** *** so they would come out once a year to perform maintenanceI had the option to pay the yearly quote or have them withdraw $per monthThis amount was withdrawn from my account from November until March which totaled $The reason the payment to the membership stopped was because my credit card expired and I did not call them to provide them with the credit card number
During the time this amount was being withdrawn and after it stopped, I never called them to perform maintenance to the unit so the funds were never used or applied to any service
I called them out again in May of this year because our house got flooded and we needed someone to check out our HVAC to see if there was any damage from the floodWhile the tech was on site, I mentioned that I had signed up for this membership in December of and that no one ever came out to pe

As a young female and sole homeowner, I know that there are people out there who will try to take advantage of me even though I have a mechanical background and have a highly technical career fieldI originally found One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning because I drove past their office nearly every dayAs a well known business, I figured I would be safe to use them for my needsHowever, my experience with them has been very negativeEvery time they have come out, they have been very pushy in trying to sell me a new systemI do understand that I have a very aging system (years) and accept that at some point it will be much cheaper to replace than to fixHowever, I expected them to be honest with me on this issueMy A/C went out last Thursday (4/28/17) and I called them outDuring my Friday appointment at 8am, the technician told me my evaporator coil was bad and I needed to replace my motor and fan blades (since they had corrosion)I agree -
it's an aging system and there was clear corrosion that is causing it's slow deathThese repairs were around $minus a discount I have for being a repair plan member with themAfter my talk with the technician, he said that a salesperson will be at my house in about minutes to go over the cost of replacementAbout hours later, the salesman arrivesI really didn’t like the tone he took with me and it felt as if he was talking down to me during our conversationThey wanted upwards of $10,to replace and re-engineer everythingI told the salesperson that I was going to shop around and he seemed very upset with me and kept pushing me to move forwardI figured I had some time before another failure and so I decided I would wait until after the weekend to shop aroundBy the time he left it was around noonLast night (Saturday night), my A/C went out againI called One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning and they didn’t have any appointments until Monday (May 1)Since I couldn’t get them to fix it and would face a day of no A/C, I ended up calling my friend who does primarily commercial property air conditioningHe was able to send a technician out and determined fairly quickly (within an hour) that the problem was a bad solenoid that was causing the compressor to cycle on and offThe part was about $to repair itI felt that One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning tried to take advantage of me, and I would have fallen for it had I not had friends in the industryYou can have a profitable business and still do right by consumersDo I probably need a new A/C system? Sure, it’s old…but it worksBut I can tell you what I don’t need - a pushy salesman trying to take advantage of me by selling me a new system in a condescending tone

On August 5, 2016, I purchased and paid $for an air filter to be delivered to my home from One Hour Heating and Air ConditioningRepeated attempts by telephone to get this business to deliver the air filter have been unsuccessfulThis business REFUSES to deliver the air filterThis business REFUSES to schedule a time for delivery

This company charges ridiculously high prices for replacement parts I was charged over $for three parts I could have purchased for well under $

The company sent the technician Milton to check on what was causing my AC system to get noisy and stop functioningAfter he assessed the problem he proceeded to pontificate with very pressured speech that the reason the blower motor went bust is due to lack of maintenance on my partI wouldn't mind being advised of my shortcoming but I mind being talked down to like he was talking to an uneducated personSo he quoted me a price for the work needed and I agreed and signed the authorization afterwhich he said there may possibly still be other work needed after the motor starts upI told him how do I know if he's ripping me off and would overwhelm me with additional charges that may not be necessaryHow does one who doesn't do HVAC really know? Milton got very aggressive in his tone and accused me of having a bad attitudeHe called his supervisor and said he was going to pack up and not do the work for me because of my attitudeI was completely dumbfounded! I've never experienced a

We spent $15K on a completely new a/c system (Inside & out) and it broke weeks laterThey replaced 75% of the drain line while installing the system, but are telling us now that it is a clog in the 25% of the line they did not replace (which we were repeatedly told is because they are not plumbers)They have absolutely not stood by their work because they do a poor jobYou are paying for fancy trucks, fast appointments and thank you coffee mugs in the mail - not quality workI would NOT recommend them

I began a very expensive zoning process with One Hour in January this year During the first visit, they told me the only way to address my issue (one room not being heated or cooled on my first floor), would be to add extra zones They stated that zoning would be the only way to be sure to control the temperature in a house this size I decided to add two zones in order to have better control This DID NOT fix the issue The duct work was done completely wrong at firstMy house got to 90+ because of large air dumps in the wrong locations and the wrong duct work was doneThey came back and fixed that issue Then I noticed that the zoning still wasn't working The AC would cause the temperature to get 5-degrees cooler than the set temperature They came back trying to fix that issue I have had at least repeated service calls with some of their "best technicians" to fix the issueThe last technician told me this was as good as it would get Well, I paid almost $to

The Gentleman you see is a Disabled VeteranOne Hour Air conditioning sold him a new air conditioning and heating system some months agoThe first sales person was an it.The Next day a sales manager named *** Over this Patient *** Promised Me that the Humidity would be brought down to 50% That he would take charge of the sale to make sure every thing would alright and the Patient would be comfortableI extracted These Promises at the Head of This Man because I knew of the Horrible reputation of One Hour and I knew they were overcharging him by thousands and ThousandsI wanted To be sure That Shame and Honor would bind him to HonestyIt was a foolish notion on my part That these things hold Sway with anybody at this placeIf they will feast on the dying carcass of a war veteran and wallow in their stolen gelt and laugh; who then will they not swindle? You PerhapsPlease do not take the chanceLet Me Explain to you how bad it really isFirst off the Humidity never got below 75%Our patient had To Resort to Thrice Daily Breathing Treatments all The While *** was claiming that he had done all he could do and Houston is Humid what can you doAnd That I turned Down the $20,unit (their rapacity is indeed boundless) which would have solved the problem I know what complete *** this is because I called The nice People at USA/HVAC came and solved the ProblemAll They had To was decrease the speed of the fanThe humidity was down to 52% in MinutesNow Drowning in his own Mucus is not our Disabled Veterans only or worst problemThe changing of the weather has brought up another kafka-esque nightmareThe Heater doesn't workAfter minutes the circuit breaksBecause I no longer trust One Hour I call in different electricianIt seems that my breaker box manufactured by federal pacific discontinued in and universally agreed upon to be a fire hazard ought maybe to be replaced even though *** *** still sells the breaker itselfHowever if The Heater is Drawing too much power then a new circuit breaker much less a Circuit box will do no goodNow all of this raises a series of serious questions Each on more disturbing the lastNow be mindful of the fact that electricians claim no specialized knowledge of Air conditioning units Air conditioning people claim no specialized knowledge of electricityIt seems that One Hour hasn't figured out that heaters run off of electricityBut the obvious question is if the breaker box needed to be Replaced (A very expensive proposition) why did this sleazy salesperson/Sales Manager named *** (who claimed to have run his own company for years) NOT recognize the need to change the damn thing so that it could be refinanced with the New Air conditioning unit? (Malpractice) Secondly When they installed the unit did they not have an electrician oversee the project No Electrician Works For One Hour After A week of trying to get heat Trying to explain that I need to know for certain if the unit is not drawing to much powerThat some malfunction is not occurring at minutesThat before I invest more of this veterans dwindling cash reserves That I need to know for certain ...That Propriety and Fiduciary Responsibility demand thisThat what is needed is that rare individual who both knows how a heating unit and electricity workAfter all of THIS I find myself on a conference call with all the managers in the Houston office After all of them had washed their hand of the matter and declared the problem "Electrical" I reminded *** of His PromiseThe Phone Went Dead They Had All Hung UpTonight an Arctic wind will blow into Houston John w/ his brand new heater will be COLD

One-hour air conditioning sent a repair tech out to my house per my request The nature of the service call was to repair a noisey motor covered under warranty The repair tech, *** arrived at approximately 08:a.mand started to diagnose the problem *** explained that the capacitor was bad and needed to be replace and that I also needed a "start up kit" I asked what a start up kit was and he could not explain it clearly or its usefulness so I declined the kit, *** stated that the replacement capacitor was covered under warranty, but that he would charge $for labor and $for the service call I stated to *** that he could leave me the capacitor and that I would install it myself *** stated that he would not do this so I stated to him that I did not want the replacement part at this time *** stated that he would still be paid the $ I stated that I would resolve the service fee with One-Hour Air Conditioning over the phone *** stated, "I do not give a ***

On June 9, I called One Hour Air Conditioning & heating because me home A/C was not blowing cool at all They promptly sent a tech out to my home and he checked my system and recommended that the suppl lines to the A/C be replaced H e wrote up a work proposal which stated the service/diagnostic fee of $would be waved and since I was a retired military veteran, would receive and additional 10% discount The tech (Sonny) left that night with my A/C still not working and FULL payment of $but assured me that the next day they would call and schedule the supply line to the A/C replacement day I did not hear from any one for hours the next day on a Friday I called the office several times in the afternoon and expressed my dismay at no followup and was surprised to learn they didn't have the work order in the system yet and was told they hadn't reached the tech Sonny yet I told the receptionist the I would call back and cancel by close of business if they couldn'
