Optima Audit Corp Reviews (30)

Review: After being contacted by OAC and promised a modification on my home mortgage I soon realized I was being scammed. My case worker [redacted] kept saying that he had sent information over to my lender and never giving me a solid date on when exactly my modification would be completed. My lender told me over and over again that they had received nothing from OAC and that our home was headed for forclosure. The forclosure process was started on my home 2 days ago and OAC has done nothing. My "case worker" just called to inform me once again that I should go ahead and send the next payment because they had conformation from my lender, thankfully I had my lender on the other line and they confirmed that OAC was lieng and I should call local authorities. We are in forclosure now and having to go through a "real" modification from our lender, for free. I want/need my money back so that I can move forward and catch up my loan. I can't believe this company has caused so many families to go into forclosure. They keep begging for money and will not deliver what they promised, which is a modification to catch up and lower payments. This is false advertising and misleading. Very sad and dissapointed!Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my money, and also for them to pay the fees associated with me catching up my loan.

Review: I was contacted by [redacted] from Optima Audit Corp since April 2014, he informed me about the[redacted] in the efforts to save my residential property in Texas. He emailed a package to apply for the assistance and asked for $1500.00 in 3 installment payments. I have been trying to contact MR. [redacted] requesting status on the assistance and he has not returned my calls or emails. I was told they would be helping me save my house and was told not to vacate the house. I was not to leave my house. My house was foreclosed and new owner took possesion of the property. I was forced to leave the house. Mr. [redacted] has done nothing to assist me in keeping my home. All I got from him are verbal promises that I am going to recover my home. I have been trying to get written proof from him on status of the assistance program and he has not provided with anything. The excuse is that the legal team is working on it. I was promised results and never got anything. This company has only taken my dreams, hopes and my money. If they were not able to provide the assistance needed in the recovery of my home, they needed to be upfront and tell me. I am very disappointed and do not want any other family to go thru what my son and I have gone thru. We have lost our home and our money. Companies such this should not be in business.Desired Settlement: I am requesting full refund of the $1500.00 that I send to this company. They have not provided the service I was told and people need to be advised that this company is a fraud. I have all receipts of proof the money has been sent to them.

Response:

It is unfortunate to see this kind of statement being made by Mrs. [redacted]. We diligently completed a Loan Audit that took a few weeks, and communicated the results to her lender. At that point we were informed that she had filed bankruptcy without informing us and a court case was pending regarding her status.

We provided a product which is a Loan Audit of her current mortgage. This is very clearly stated on the agreement that she signed, and we completed our part of the agreement. If Mrs. [redacted] informed us clearly regarding her court case, we would not accept her file and perform a Loan Audit. However, she kept that information from us and we in return completed the Manually Underwritten Loan Audit, as was agreed to do so.

She can feel free to contact us during business hours to discuss this further.

Respectfully

Do not do business with this company, [redacted] called and called me wanting to modify my home and he never did what he had promised to do. We payed 1500.00 dollars in a 4 month period for the so called attorney fees which he called the legal team. I would ask for attorney names and he would never comply. Optima Audit Corp is a fake company that scams hard working people our of their money. There Web page is made by godaddy.com, if you ever get a call from this place be sure to hang up and don't answer your phone. [redacted] and [redacted] are rotten people. They have no compassion in their souls for anyone besides themselves. Next will be consumer affairs.

Review: The company was great to start with. Was always available until they get my final payment. Then I can't even get an e-mail or phone call out of them. I've tried for two weeks to contact someone from this company to no avail. Sent numerous emails and made numerous phone calls. I have exhausted all means of contact I have with them. As far as I know they have failed to provide service in refinancing my home and I am about to be evicted from it. I want to know what they are hiding because they do not wish to speak to me apparently.Desired Settlement: I would hope this company would contact me and tell me something on whether or not I lost my home.

Review: I have as many others have been scammed by Optima Audit Corp and his fake set up. I gave $1500 to have this guaranteed 2% interest rate set for the duration of my loan on my house. This was payment for their lawyer team that helps expedite this service within a few months. This call came to me on 6/7/15 after my speaking with my mortgage company that same day, about a HAMP, and 2 hrs later, he calls. I was called regularly, emailed and called, until the pmt was made in full, the end of August. I've been trying to get this 9 yr house issue resolved like the rest of the world, and to have been taken advantage of is just shameful. I will be taking this to a higher level if my money isn't refunded. Glad I paid Certified funds. I got one call since pmt and that was in September. It is December and this modification was supposed to be complete. What a fraud!!!! I will make this very public if my money/house note isn't refunded because Optima Audit Corp is a scam out of the Yorba Linda Mini Mall!!!!!!Desired Settlement: Full refund so I can pay my house note

Review: Back in February of 2015, we were contacted by a [redacted] of Optima Audit Corp. He stated that OAC was a non-profit organization who conducts loan audits & he could see from our file that we were behind on or mortgage. Given our situation (unexpected health problems) & "things our mortgage had done that could be considered questionable", we should be able to apply for a loan modification/government workout. This would include a lower monthly payment and lower interest rate. After [redacted] told us we were approved for the workout, we made 3 payments of $500 (over the course of 3 mos.), totaling $1500. Once payments were complete, it was next to impossible to hear back from him or any of his associates in regards to follow-up on our file. I did hear back a few times but the answer was always "we are working on it." Our house eventually went to public auction July 29, 2015. After many more attempts to get something in writing stating what OAC was doing for us (I never could get documentation) and many failed attempts to get in contact with someone at OAC, I finally called our mortgage company today. No workout was ever submitted to them. We are now being told we have 60 days to vacate our home & the only way we can keep our home is to pay the entire balance, which is over $100,000 - obviously not an option for us. I am requesting that Optima Audit Corp either follow through with their promises to ensure we do not lose our home, or refund the $1500 we paid for services NOT rendered & we will seek our own legal action against them. Hopefully this complaint will save just one other person from what we are going through - now losing our first home after an already devastating last few years.Desired Settlement: We just want to keep our home. If Optima Audit Corp did file the workout paperwork, they need to get on the ball and make sure our home is not taken from us. If they did not file the paperwork, they need to return our money and I will seek legal action.

Review: I received a call from [redacted] with Optima Audit Corp and email on October 29, 2014. The required documents had to be returned no later than October 31, 2014. I have been working with this company since this time. The email received stated as follows (copied from email):

Here’s a recap of the program guidelines:

Ø You will be brought 100% current

Ø Interest Rate reduction: The floor rate on the programs is 2% fixed (1% for unemployment income borrowers) for the remaining life of the loan. The cap rate is currently 4.5%. If your interest rate is currently at the floor, then it will stay the same on the new program workout. Keep in mind, that reductions are based on your income and expenses. (The greater the shortfall, the greater the reduction). Step modifications are reserved for unemployment income and/or Option ARM files only.

Ø Principle Balance reduction: This is only available for files that have loan amounts that are greater than the value of the home (typically reserved for files with values less than $100,000 of current loan balance or for 2nd trust deeds).

Ø Loan Term Extension (10 additional years added to the remaining life of the existing loan)(Extension requests must be made by the property owner in writing).

I’ve also attached a copy of the automated underwriting system approval on your file. This approval is valid as long as your turned-in paperwork reflects a similar hardship that we discussed during the initial intake process. The loan audit process, as well as a valid approval, are what keep your home from being sold at Trustee Sale. (Please send in Notice of Trustee Sale paperwork if Sale Date stoppage is required):

I paid a total of $1,500. Once the payment was paid in full I never received any further contact with the company. However, [redacted] did tell me that it would be a couple of months then I should receive notification from new lender requiring me to start making payments. It was stated that my mortgage payments would be $370Desired Settlement: I deserve to have them to follow through with what they started. They are just like the banks, pushing me into foreclosure. [redacted] really had me believing that Optima was really going to help me. I have all the emails, voicemails and documents faxed to them as proof. If Optima can’t follow through with what they started, I desire a refund of my money, $1,500.00. At this point, I don’t even know if they even exist!!! Somebody has to stop these companies from ripping people of! Please help me.

Response:

The client used the loan audit we provided and received a settlement loan agreement from the lender. Per our agreement we stood by our loan audit and the client was able to negotiate a new loan term with their lender. Our part of the agreement was more than fulfilled, the product was provided and we are not sure why the client would complain if they were able to bring the lender to the negotiating table and complete a new loan agreement with the lender. If the client like to contact us, we will be more than happy to go over our agreement terms and the fact that they were able to receive a negotiated term with their lender is a positive result.Best Regards[redacted]Optima Audit Corp

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have not received any contact as to a settlement loan agreement from the lender ([redacted]) nor Optima Audit. The lender placed my home for sale date of June 2, 2015 due to foreclosure on my property @ 1[redacted]. This has been the only contact that I have had with [redacted]. I have attempted to contact Optima Audit, after receiving the email from the Revdex.com, on yesterday 6/10/15 and today, 6/11/15. At no time did I get an answer @ [redacted]. I have left messages in the general mailbox and for [redacted] J. Again, I have yet to receive a call back. I can be reached @ [redacted].

Regards,

Review: I have been working with this Company for a year. [redacted], who I was working with, informed me that he could get me a loan modification at 2%. I am one of the homeowners in which the banks have ripped me off and tried to put me in foreclosure.

I paid a total of $2,000. As soon as that amount was paid, they will not return my calls and they will not answer their phone. [redacted] claimed that he was in training and a [redacted] was sending me emails. I never received any calls or emails from a [redacted].

I have been ripped off $800 from another company and told him that. I didn't pay any taxes on my house this past year, either. He informed me that I would have a modification loan by December. That all of the back money will be taken off and I could possibly get my whole house paid off because of the corruption of the banks.

I really need help with this. I do not know who I can trust anymore concerning my mortgage.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I deserve to have them to follow through with what they started. They are just like the banks, pushing me into foreclosure. I have been paying on my house for 30 years. It should of been paid of! I was scammed three times by banks!!! I really believed that Optima was really going to help me. I have a letter from my accountant that explains everything which happened to me by the banks. I need Optima to follow through with what they started. Do they even exist????? I don't know what to believe. Somebody has to stop these companies from ripping people of! It's bad enough that the banks are taking people's homes on purpose, so they can get money from the government on all of the foreclosed homes!!!

Please help me.

""After speaking with Ms. [redacted] she realized that we didn’t have her correct e-mail in our system. But, that has since been resolved after speaking with her. Keep in mind, we also tried to contact Ms. [redacted] by phone over the last 90 days. However, her voicemail was frequently full and we weren’t able to leave a message. Of the times we did leave a message we didn’t receive a response. As you know, our standard procedure is to send a follow up e-mail if we are not able to reach a client by phone. But the e-mail issue with the file hindered this protocol. (It’s important to note that Ms. [redacted] doesn’t have a work number for use as an alternate number).

Review: I was contacted by [redacted] and he telling us how he could help us to lower our mortgage payment through the harp program. He said the cost of the company is 1500.00 which we paid in payments. He said that the process would be finished in 6 months. We made the payments and we are now in to the 9 month and still not finalized. I have sent several emails and they are saying that the mortgage company is dragging their feet but before it was the holidays and processing was pushed back. I have not received email or phone call since January. we have received letter from mortgage holder and they are foreclosing on the house. he has also said that it is in the processing teams hands. I need to help out other people so this doesnt happen to anyone else. I looked up the company at that time no complaints. I need contacted and at least tell me that it isnt working not to keep up any information When called told him we were getting phone calls from mortgage holder he said that is typical and that not to worry processing team will take care of it. Said that they had attorneys that would work for us for a year so that no forclosure would take place. No phone call so they are not taking care of anything and forcloseure is processing.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back with interest A phone call or letter or some kind of communication
