Not sure how a client can claim this is a practice - when we have no other complaints for not returning a deposit. The client is simply trying to slander the company. Our company can have signed statements by the driver, crew, and all representatives who called and spoke with the client. We also have phone records showing we did call and can prove that we were at the actual storage facility which was supposed to be the pickup location.
We called both her and her boyfriend Josh numerous times. We could not continue to work around their schedules and neglect our other customers - we showed up twice and the client failed to show up.
Most moving companies have outside claims departments to make sure things are "fair" and analyzed in a correct way where the client can't blame the company for not looking into a matter or not handling a matter correctly. I'm sorry if the client does not approve with how we handle our claims process however this is the process and the client agreed to use this process when the contract was signed. They can turn to the claims department if they wish to pursue the claim and seek compensation.
