After loathing this company for years, Orbitel has very recently changed They massively improved their servers and I'm now at Mbps download speeds! They did not increase my rates to obtain this speed either I went from Mbps to after their upgrade TV is no longer having problems dropping the signal or otherwise pixelating into large block images Also, their local staff just north of Tucson are very friendly I'm amazed they pulled it off Bravo Orbitel You're healing

My wife and I had been customers of Orbitel for over years...the entire time we lived in MaricopaNever had any problems with service and never missed a single paymentWe moved to Gilbert, AZ in November and had to shut off our serviceWe paid our last bill and re-verified when we dropped off our equipment that our account was closed and paid in fullAll of a sudden I start getting calls from a collections agency in March stating we owe $and this delinquency has been reported to the credit agenciesWhen I called Orbitel, they said "you know you have to pay your bills, right???" We explained that people confirmed that our account was paid in full when we moved out of Maricopa and we have not received any bills since then (even though we have mail forwarding)They representative told me that we would have to pay or our credit would be damagedI have perfect credit and I was forced to pay to get the listing off of my credit reportThis is a poor way to do business and disgraceful way to treat your customers (now former customer)I will be sharing my experience with all of my friends and former neighbors in Maricopa in the hopes that they will disconnect their service as well

This is an issue between tenant and landlord, not between the cable companyThe tenant added servicesThe $should be collected by the landlord from the tenant

Once service call in the last yearNo other notes on fileIf this is an issue, we would expect more contact from customerWe are more than happy to set up a service call to investigate

Dear Orbitel Communications, the service was turned on by a simple phone call? Did you happen to ask the name that was on the account or who was calling, did you leave a service tech note at the door or anything, I have never done business with a company that doesn't require a signature, or Person to person aacknowledgement of serviceThe previous time I had your service back in 2010-a service technician came inside my house and set everything upOn the bill from your office there is a dollar reconnect fee for whatThere no tech or person that cane to my house or this would have never happenI do not except the responsibilities of paying this for I never called or used your service Thank you [redacted]

That's fine, from now on each time our internet is throttled, cuts out, is down we will callBtw the last time orbitel was here they blamed our router even though it was newWe have since bought a new antenna router and constantly have problems

I work from home and was surprised to wake up this morning and have no phone serviceI pay my bills BEFORE they're due so I knew that was not the issueOrbitel had turned my phone off and gave my phone number to another customer yesterdayThere's no reason for it and their customer service is unprofessional and rudeThe best part about it is when you log into their website, you use your phone number as your login and the last digits of the number for your password so all of my personal information could be compromisedThey haven't apologized, only told me to wait and it'll be fixed within minutesThis company is horrible and they have a monopoly in my area for high speed internet and phoneI own my home so it's not like I can just pick up and move

The cable and internet service is terrible and feels like from the early 90sThe equipment is very outdated, they change their website and the buffoons there failed to get the accounts and passwords reconnectedThey can't even get the account number rightSucks that we have to pay for basic cable through our HOA and get crappy serviceBeen like this for yearsI've emailed them let's see if I get a responsepffftGetting ready to cut the cord (oh wait I can't because it's billed into our HOA)If I can get good internet out here

The technical staff of Orbitel Communications is probably the worst I have ever dealt with! I've made a half a dozen tries and they all lack adequate knowledge of internet/email issues I am switching back to [redacted] today and will never consider Orbitel again

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Yes, they corrected it temporarilyLast night, Sunday Dec7th while watching the 10:p.mnews on channel 704, the entire program "froze" and the screen went blackI stayed up until midnight and the channel was still not workingI phoned the company at 10:and complained that the same channel went out on the HD channel and on the ditigal channelThis was just days from the incident I complained about to the Revdex.comThe issue is that Orbitel has done little on nothing to prevent this from occurring again, it is an "ongoing problem with their inability or reluctance to prevent this from happening tomorrow, or the day-after or next weekend." They are not correcting the problem on a day by day basis.Regards,*** ***

Billing for services not used
Orbitel Communication has a policy that allows them to bill the consumer even when it is physically impossible for the consumer to use their services As example: They only allow a customer to put their cable and internet service on a "vacation hold" during the time from March to Sept If the consumer will be away any other time of the year, or for longer than October 1, the consumer is still charged the full monthy amount EVEN IF THEY ARE AWAY FROM HOME AND UNABLE TO USE THE ORBITEL SERVICEThe only other option they provide is to disconnect entirely, surrender the equipment they provide and then pay to reconnect
