Oswalt Law Group was awesome! They took care of everything over the phone with only one office meeting, and the required creditors meeting at the court.

During our 401, the other people were grilled by the court regarding their businesses and various other matters. A representative from Oswalt was with us. When it was our turn, there were no questions. Everything was in order, properly prepared and submitted by Oswalt. It was easy and painless. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Review: We first contacted Oswalt Law Group in June of 2012 too file for bankruptcy. We were told we needed to wait one year to file due to a previous bankruptcy my husband filed due to a divorce. We paid $1950 in fees and tarted submitting our paperwork to the group. At least four times, we submitted paperwork and trusted that our case was being worked on only to find out that the paralegal we submitted the paperwork to had left the group. Each time we had to re-submit our paperwork that was already submitted along with any updates for the lapsed time. We didn't get to have our case reviewed by a lawyer until late June 2015. At that time, the lawyer told us it was best to wait one year to file because of payments for my school.

We were then sent a letter that there would be an additional $300 fee for the extension, even after attorney [redacted] told us it would be at most $150. We contacted the group and a paralegal finally returned the all. When my husband asked about the fee she stated that this was not negotiable. He also asked what our recourse would be if we decided not to file with them. She stated that there would be no reimbursement of the money that we had already paid, even though we have been stung along for over two years.Desired Settlement: I would like to sever my association with the company and be refunded my money. I understand that they have done some work but since we have been mistreated for two years and then told to pay even more money I feel it only fair to be given the full amount we paid back. If we had been evaluated at an earlier time, we would have been willing to work with the group. I don't think that their staffing changes should have affected my case in such a manner.

Review: I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy through oswalt law group and was lead to believe that if I had any difficulty with a company that oswalt would represent or help resolve issues that occured in a result of my bankruptcy case. I had an issue with Grand Canyon University attempting to collect money after my case had been filed and completed and contacted Oswalt Law group for help. At first it seemed like they were helping me get this issue resolved then my point of contact stop returning my phone calls and emails.Desired Settlement: I'd like assistance in getting my transcripts from [redacted] as well as getting [redacted] to stop trying to charge me for the debt that was included in my chapter 7 bankruptcy.

I have retained Oswalt Law Group for my bankruptcy. I had some finiancial trouble before being able to file my court paperwork for my bankruptcy and I spoke to Brian who is the supervisor and he helped find a way to make things easier for me to get my bankruptcy paid for quicker.

Review: I am not satisfied with the handling of my case and the interactions I have had with this company. I don't agree with their practices and the way accounting acted like a collection agency using threats and intimidation along with a poor attitude to make me give them money when I had none to give that particular month. So I get an email from [redacted] in accounting telling me to update them so they dont run my credit card twice. I never authorized this company to withdrawal anything else then what I stated that could. On the phone [redacted] was negotiating a payment with me: 100.00 dollars, I said no, she said do you have 50.00 dollars, I said no but Owalt could run my card on the next month; skipping that current month. [redacted] then says that I HAVE to make a payment. Then I get an email that states she is giving me 3 days to pay to keep my case active (one of those days being Thanksgiving and the other being a Saturday). I don't appreciate feeling pressured and harassed. Obtaining an attorney was a difficult enough decision without making a touch process even worse by the attitude and odd practices at the law firm. I am not satisfied with this company and wrote them that same day and told them I no longer wanted Oswalt to handle my case.Desired Settlement: I want all my personal documents shredded. I already paid $361 dollars which I am sure this company will come up with something to keep it. I would like my money back. What a waste of my money and my time!!!

Everyone I have dealt with at Oswalt has been very friendly and helpful with the exception of attorney [redacted]. I recommend Oswalt as long as you demand he not be your attorney. He assumes you know what everything entails instead of explaining things. If I knew what to expect/do, I wouldn't have paid a lawyer.

I always got a clear explanation from the Oswalt team of all my choices so I could make an educated decision at every step in my case. Having the Oswalt team on my side made me comfortable in going through the complex legal process.
