Complaint: [redacted]
Our first contract we signed had 11/2 inch drip edge, which would had been fine if they didn't replace the decking. After signing the contract, [redacted] informed us our decking wasn't up to code so at that time he should had changed the size of the drip edge from 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch. When you go from a very thin decking to a much thicker decking that should had given them red flags to change the size of the drip edge before they even started working on our house. We got a call from [redacted] stating [redacted] was coming to get his check and explain to her that we are still waiting for a invoice that [redacted] was suppose to had sent to us couple of weeks ago, but we never got it. She originally said the invoice was done back on 09/08/2016, but I told her the work wasn't completed until 10/07/2016. She checked and said [redacted] needed the modification on the invoice and the guy who was working in insurance department is no longer working there. [redacted] is the new guy and since he is still training she was going to get [redacted] to do the modification, and than send us a copy of the invoice, but so far we haven't received a invoice nor anything that breaks down the price. We don't need the company to respond, because it keeps going back and forth plus they, like other companies will do, will point the finger at the customers. If they had never overlook the Chimney cricket and re-flashing, we never would had file a complaint. After several attempts trying to get it done, we felt we had no other choice but to file the complaint. The roof was done back in July and the job wasn't finish till October. We are firm believers that God can bring blessings out of things we go through. Maybe this help [redacted] and his guys realize how important it is to always return customers calls promptly and efficiently. Also, how important it is to get the job done on time and done correctly. Sometimes it doesn't pay to take short cuts nor hire outside subcontractors, because it can cost the company in the long run. Customers should always come first. Customers, like what we went through, shouldn't have to follow through and asking when is the work going to done. Also, no matter how busy you get phone calls as well as text messages should always be answered.
Regards,
[redacted] And [redacted]

Mrs. [redacted] and Tony's roofing have resolved this issue. Tony's roofing retracted all collections efforts and addressed the roof concerns with Mrs. [redacted] and as agreed she paid her balance in full with us.  I have copied Mrs. [redacted] on this email as well to confirm.   In regards to...

this matter it should be confirmed resolved.   Thank you for following up and if you have any further questions or concerns please let us know.

Reading through our notes we have created a work order for us to go out to property take a look at the leak but this time we are requesting to do a water test to see exactly where the leak is coming from. This will require us to have access to the interior of the home and attic which coordinating...

the roofer, Tony's Roofing Services representative, and homeowner has been challenging. I called both numbers today provided by the Revdex.com and also emailed the homeowner today. I provided the homeowner my phone number to get ahold of me @ [redacted] I will wait to hear back f on [redacted] so we can schedule date and time.

To whom this may concern, I [redacted], (Owner) of Tony's Roofing Services, LLC have called several times on both phone numbers 1-phone number we have on file and 2-phone number provided by Revdex.com and left message for the [redacted] the homeowner to call me back leaving my personal cell phone number...

###-###-#### so we can look at his concern again but this time I will be present so we can try to resolve any Labor Warranty Issues that may have been caused by Tony's Roofing Services, LLC during orginial installation. I have also attempted to contact [redacted] again this morning leaving a voice message to call me back. If I don't hear from [redacted] within a couple of days I will try to call him again. Thanks, [redacted]

To whom this may concern, this is [redacted] owner of [redacted]'s Roofing Services, LLC. Mr [redacted], homeowner called me while I was out of town and scheduled for me to come out and take a look at the leak around the chimney, which we went out a week or two ago and didn't find any issues with the roofing...

which could have caused a leak around the chimney but we went ahead and re sealed around roof penetrations and etc.. since we were on top of the roof already. I did set the appointment to come out the following Monday when I would have arrived back into town, now I could have accidentally given Mr [redacted] the previous Monday date which I take  full responsibility if in fact I did. I arrived back in town Saturday night and notice this complaint with the Revdex.com and first thing Sunday morning I called Mr [redacted] to apologize for the miscommunication and ask if I could go out that afternoon to take a look at the leak around the chimney. When I arrived I spoke to the tenants and asked them if I could go inside and take a look at the leak before I got on top of the roof  she said that there was no leak so I immediate called Mr [redacted] to get some kind of clarification of the situation. Mr [redacted] said they were selling there home and  based on the inspection report it recommended for a flashing to be installed around the chimney which the chimney already has flashing behind the siding and under the shingles. So I told Mr [redacted] I was going to go on top of the roof to take a look, what I saw was the chimney siding/trim had a hole at the bottom left corner, the caulking around the trim boards that seals and prevents rain or weather penetrating through where all cracked and a portion of the siding on the chimney was pulling alway creating a gap. Clearly the issue was the chimney and the inspector worded the issue as a roofing issue so I believe  Mr [redacted] automatically felt that [redacted]'s Roofing Services workmanship warranty should have taken care of this. This was not caused by the way we installed the roof nor was it an roofing issue, the chimney need attention. Mr [redacted] asked if we could give him a price to fix the chimney, I said yes and told him we would have to replace all the trim boards on chimney, the portion of the siding that had a hole in it, caulk, prime and paint for $800.00 turn key but Mr [redacted] said that was out of his budget and he would take care of it himself. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me @ [redacted] - [redacted]

I spoke to [redacted] and this was a misunderstanding he has been trying to contact [redacted] which was the salesman from Tony's Roofing Services,LLC which [redacted] no longer works for Tony's Roofing Services, LLC since 2/1/2016. I contacted [redacted] immediately after receiving the Revdex.com...

complaint which was the first time the issue has been brought to my attention. We are scheduled to go out and inspect the roof to determine the cause of leak. [redacted] agreed that this was a misunderstanding and would look into canceling the complaint.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Revdex.com:

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I have in no way threatened [redacted] nor have I made unreasonable demands.   All I ask is that the flashing at the base of my chimney be installed correctly.  Tony's Roofing Service has yet to do this. When they initially came out to correct the flashing, rather than do the job correctly they covered up the mess they had made.Tony's Roofing Service has done a lot of damage to my home in the process of installing siding/flashing. Most recently, according to Mark, pulling my chimney out of plumb due to the heavy rains pulling on the tarp that they used to cover my chimney.I expect Tony's Roofing Service to assume the cost of repairing/replacing the damage to my home.  Because they have not made a effort in good faith to do so, have created problems that can cause further damage to my house, and have used the rains as an excuse not to correct their mistakes, I will have the work done by others.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: This company still has not apologized for the overcharges and also that they will cease from attempting to deceive other innocent victims needing roofs and their insurance companies for more then the agreed contract price.

[redacted] We contacted you on July 4, 2016 noticing you we were going to start install on July 5, 2016 because we were notified by ABC Suppy that the materials were delivered to your property. The Roofers showed up on July 5, 2016 and reported back to us that there was no materials delivered. We...

informed you we would contact ABC Supply to figure the issue with your materials. Your order that has been purchased by [redacted]'s Roofing Services, LLC through ABC Supply slipped through the cracks by the distributor which we have no control of. [redacted] from [redacted]'s Roofing Services called you on July 20, 2016 for another welcome call which you stated that one has already been made but but that because your file had to go back through our system and one of the information through the welcome was to inform the homeowner that they would receive another call from [redacted]'s Roofing Services, LLC about delivery date of materials once we got confirmation from ABC Supply. Your materials are on schedule for delivery on July 25, 2016 and your roof installation is on scheduled for July 26, 2016. [redacted] is our sales rep and I opologize if she has not contacted you to update this information but to her defense we have received confirmation with ABC SUpply this Past Friday July 15, 2016 and you would have been contacted this coming Monday July 18, 2016. I don't know what phone number you have been calling, on your contract you will find the office number [redacted]. Which I personal check on an every day basis. He is my personal/business cell number that you can also reach me the owner - [redacted] or here's another number [redacted] and you can also email us @ [redacted] which is also on the contract. Once again sorry for the I convince this has caused you, I can assure you we are working hard to complete your project through this recorded breaking hail storm San Antonio has experienced.

Complaint: [redacted]I received a call from the owner the day after I filed this complaint. He was very apologetic but came up with a lot of excuses. I informed him that none of this would have happened if I was kept informed of what was happening. Materials were delivered but remain on my roof for almost 2wks with debris falling off the roof. I am a very forgiving person and my family and friends were surprises I gave this company a second chance. The roof have been installed and they didn't waste anytime calling me to remind me that my deductible was due that day. As for as compensation for the day that I took off from work, I have yet to hear from Mr. [redacted] even though he did call me the day of installation to let me know the work had been completed and  anted to confirm that my insurance was involved. Not once did he mentioned compensation again. The bottom line is I understand it's all about business and getting paid but there is still a thing called good customer service. I don't expect to hear from them again until they call about the remaining payment from the insurance company. I won't be recomendimg their services to anyone.

[redacted]

We have been in contact with homeowner about the gutters that got damaged during roof installation which from day one we are taking responsibility but this house is in Del Rio TX which we had no luck finding a gutter company to replace the gutters. We found a gutter installed that  lives in...

Uvalde TX which has gone out already to the property and will be install the new gutters next week weather permitting.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  I have been told since the first of May by various representatives of Tony's Roofing Service that the damages and improperly installed chimney flashing would be corrected.  I have also been told by representatives from Tony's Roofing Services that they are not responsible for any damages and that the flashing was installed correctly.  This after having already been told by a representative of Tony's Roofing that the chimney flashing was not installed correctly and they would take responsibility for the damage to the patio cover and chimney cap.  Rather than fix the problems Tony's Roofing Service has created further problems by covering up the original mistakes with trim.  Tony's Roofing has had ample time to repair and replace the damage they have caused to my home which they have not even attempted to do.

To who this may concern, This hail storm has been the biggest San Antonio, TX has very experienced. Do to the high volume of calls, issues we have been experiencing with the distributors, and the other roofing company's from out of state offering the local roofing crews almost double the amount of...

what we normally pay and allowing them to cut corners like not take the entire old materials off down to the decking has been chaos! Now this is no excuse for a homeowner to have to experience what [redacted] has through our company!  Prior to this complaint the roofing materials were already on top of the homeowners roof. We had her roof schedule for the proper install date but unfortunately but her address got mixed up with the street named Fairpoint versus Braunpoint which is another customer that we will be also installing, but when my roofing crew arrived they immediately called and said there was no materials because we had sent them the incorrect address. Once again I apologize for our mistake, within a couple days we were able to get I handle the situation and we were able to install the homeowners roof which is now completed. Because of our mistake we offered [redacted] to  compensate her the day she took off from work and we are we are in agreement to work something out. Sincerely,[redacted] (Owner)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
The company resolved all of the issues that I had and also took the disputed charges off my bill.  I am satisfied with the resolution and wanted to know if you can update this on the complaint.  Thank You

We have been in communication with [redacted]. There was a miscommunication with the amount to be paid as the deductible. We do agree that the Mr. [redacted] should keep the money for the work we did not perform. At the current moment, we are waiting for the mailed insurance check that was...

made out to both Mr. [redacted] and Tony’s roofing services. Once that payment of $1086.77 is received, that will put Mr. [redacted] into showing an overpayment on his account and we will mail out a $500.00 check to Mr. [redacted].  We are in agreement at this time and should be resolved by end of week. We apologize for any inconveniences to our customer.    Sincerely,  Tony's Roofing Services

We were hired by [redacted] to replace her chimney: siding, trim, and paint, due to raccoons making holes through the rotten chimney siding and entering her home.  One of our subcontractor [redacted] was assigned to this project.  We agree with [redacted] the job was not...

satisfactory and we are taking full responsibility.  We gave [redacted] a chance to go back out and fix the issues and throughout this time we have not collected a payment from [redacted] and we would not attempt to ask for payment until the job was done to our satisfactory and hers.   We have been in communication with [redacted] through voice messages, phone conversations, and text messages back and forth.  This whole time we have reassured [redacted] we will be taking care of all the issues. We made a decision that we would take [redacted] off the project and send another crew to fix the issues. As far as the damages to the aged, rusted chimney cap we had to remove  it in order to replace the chimney: siding, trim, and paint but neither less we reassured [redacted] we will special ordered one because they need to be custom made. The patio cover panels were damage by one of our helpers who slipped accidently and step on the patio panel denting it and again we assured [redacted] we would replace the damaged panels or replace all the panel to the patio if they were discontinued. The processes to fix the issues are as follow: 1.) we will replace chimney: siding, trim and paint. 2.) Install patio panels as soon as they are available. 3.) replace special chimney cap as soon as they are ready for pick up.  Our last conversation was Friday morning  5-8-15, [redacted] threaten she would report us to the Revdex.com if we didn't go out that same day to fix the chimney. I explained to [redacted] that we have another crew assigned to her project but due to the high chances of rain for that same day and the weekend the earliest we can get to it would be the begging of next week weather permitting.  [redacted] replied and said, " well you better have someone here today to put a tarp over the chimney since it's going to rain or you can forget about coming out and fixing my chimney and I'll hire someone else to do it and report you to the Revdex.com." I told [redacted] that [redacted], superintendent for Tony's Roofing Services inspected the chimney and confirmed that it would not leak if it rained. [redacted] did not like my response so I went ahead and sent a crew to tarp the entire chimney by 1pm that same day so that [redacted] could have a piece of mind that it would not leak. As of Tuesday 5-12-15 7:31 a.m. I texted [redacted] cell phone letting her know there was still high percent chance of rain for this day and that I would keep her up to date when we would start her project again. We will not take a chance repairing the chimney with such high chances of rain and cause interior damages. They are predicting high percent chance of rain for the rest of the week for San Antonio, TX. I will continue to keep [redacted] up to date when we would be able to come out and fix her issues. If you have any question please feel free to call me @ [redacted] (Owner) [redacted]            Tony's Roofing Services, LLC www.tonysroofingservices.com

We have been working continuously to correct the issues. As of this past Saturday the project has been completed and the job is paid in full
